gazes into the distance. au where cosmos and ravage both live through idw but soundwave doesn't, and they both feel the need to look out for each other "because soundwave would want them safe". it's easy for cosmos to care about and for ravage, but ravage struggles with caring for cosmos AND being cared for.
that is all,,, continues gazing into the distance.
Blight cooking up aus specifically to murder me … AAAAUUUGGHHHHH
HFNGH sorry got so emotional I almost threw up ANYWAYS. UFJGHH
Cosmos is hurt and scared and lonely (AGAIN..) and Ravage is hurt and angry and lonely (AGAINN….) and they both feel like they have to take care of one another bc they don’t have anyone else… Buzzsaw is off on earth with the autobots (safe and cared for… he’s been hurt too he’s coping the best he can….)
It’s easy for Cosmos because Ravage meant everything to Soundwave and Cosmos loves so easily and needs someone so badly. He wants to take care of her and love her and he won’t stop trying, no matter how angry and bitter Ravage is, no matter how she snaps at him and bites his hand and hides from him (she always comes back. Even when it’s late into the night after Cosmos falls asleep, she always comes back and lies next to him, still angry but so so tired).
Cosmos understands she’s been hurt differently from him, it’s worse for her in a way and she mourns with anger and all consuming grief, and he’s so so patient with her. He never leaves her, he never stops reaching out to her, because of course he wouldn’t. Ravage meant the universe to Soundwave, he can’t give up on her when Soundwave would want her to be safe and loved.
Ravage can’t handle the thought of being cared for after losing Soundwave, no one can fill the gaping maw of grief and loss in her chest. Cosmos doesn’t even try, she knows he doesn’t—she knows he knows that soundwave was something special, something she can never replace—but he’s so patient and kind it makes her sick sometimes. But Soundwave loved him and wanted him to be safe, so she’ll do it for him.
She cares about Cosmos, in a complicated and messy way, and she’ll never truly leave him—it’s just. Hard for her. It’s too much and too little at the same time (he doesn’t love the way Soundwave did. It feels wrong seeking comfort in a mech that isn’t her brood).
But still, cosmos makes sure she stays fueled and keeps her company, he stays awake with her when she can’t sleep and keeps her from hurting herself when the nightmares become too much, and he never ever leaves her.
And at the end of the day she knows she’ll never leave him. She loves him because Soundwave loved him, and she’ll take care of him because Soundwave took care of him.
GAZES INTO THE DISTANCE WITH YOU…..

[awakens from my thousand year slumber] pseudo-tangled au inspired by Crowley insisting Gabriel can't go outside — Beelzebub, knowing that Gabriel is somewhere in the bookshop, goes to scope things out before Shax's invasion, and runs into Jim, Aziraphale's clueless, idiotic, cute human (?) assistant.
Jim, wanting to see The Outside, but scared from Crowley and Aziraphale's warnings, promises Beez that he'll help them find Gabriel (he probably thinks Gabriel is a type of book, especially since Beelzebub never seems to hear him when he tells them people call him Gabriel) if they can safely show him The Outside.
After eluding a frantic Crowley and Aziraphale, running from the police (how was Jim supposed to know he couldn't just walk out of places with Shiny Things??), seeing the strange and wonderful things The Outside has to offer, dancing at a Human Music Festival, getting Jim better clothes, and Jim somehow saving Beelzebub from being tracked down by heaven, Beelzebub finds themself reluctantly charmed by the silly, strange human (??)
Especially since something about him seems so familiar...

When space tourism becomes an affordable thing, destination weddings are going to become that much more unbearable.
Why set off to Hawaii (leave Hawaii alone; it’s been through enough), when you can visit the Martian colonies.
The red planet a bit too mainstream for you? Looking for something a bit more grandiose? How about you hope a few planets further away and enjoy Saturn’s stormy light shows?
Scared that gigantic diamond ring on your finger will be outshone by Saturn’s diamond rains? Why not enjoy some champagne while witnessing the birth of a star in the Eagle Nebula? Who cares how upset your guests will be about having to travel 7,000 light years to attend. They should be grateful they got invited at all.

has anyone figured out why ashara dayne's story is sort of an inverse bael the bard story?
she's a maiden from the far southern end of the continent who was supposedly seduced by a stark vs. a stark maiden seduced by a wilding from the far northern end of the continent
she ends up pregnant and gives birth to a stillborn daugter vs. the stark maiden ends up pregnant and gives birth to a living son
her supposed stark lover kills her brother in combat vs. the stark maiden's lover is killed by her son in combat
she throws herself from a tower to her death (or did she really die?) after learning of her brother's death vs. the stark maiden threw herself from a tower to her death after learning of her lover's death
there are many reasons to doubt whether the story told about ashara is true, and i can't help wondering what these mirrored tall tales are designed to tell us...
