i love that trent is the one who finds out first about colin's boyfriend. especially since his arc in this season kind of started out with his apology to roy. and even before that the very reason he's at richmond now was because he revealed his source to ted. he's on a path to right past wrongs and to really care about the people behind the story™. it seems like a great opportunity for him to take this a step further and have him be the one who not only doesn't exploit someone for his writing but who actively acts to protect a young player from the press instead

Ran the benchmark on my PC and got a Fairly High score, which I'm pretty pleased with for a machine we built in 2020. (And grateful I won't need an upgrade because parts are expensive. Mr. Apocalypse may need one as his PC is a bit older, so I'm glad we won't need to spend anything on mine.)

Ariane in the new graphics has me over the moon. Seeing Urianger might end me.

Sideshow almost got me. When I ordered my Beau statue I got 20$ off qualifying purchases and they emailed me saying that 20 dollars was going to expire soon. So I went and looked at what I could use it on, and yes the yasha print is tempting and there was a Nein poster I liked alright, but right at checkout it occurred to me that 1) I was still about to spend 75 dollars on a single poster, and 2) the vast majority of my favorite artists that I've been staring at for months and years have stores.

I got five prints, messaged two other artists asking if and where to find specific things of theirs, and supported at least two friends - and I spent only a little bit more for a small stack of prints that are going to bring me so much joy. May this be the beginning of a proper collection.

Spoilers for the development of West of Fazbear's below

So in West of Fazbear's, the reader is introduced to Sun by chance. They only happened to fall off the cart where they were going in the exact town Sun stopped in on a whim.

Sun and Moon only have one body in my story, because although it's harder to write, it changes the dynamic - had they had separate bodies at the end of chapter one, the story of WOF would have been over after that. Moon wanted to mess with YN, but with Sun as an outside force, he has more influence over Moon's actions and they would have just left town and never met YN again. But YN chooses Sun and Moon to be their traveling companion west, not even realizing they already have some affection for the bots.

As the story progresses, all three of them develop and affect each other in different ways: both Sun and YN are compulsive caretakers, and thus hate other people taking care of them. Sun, because he feels he doesn't deserve it, and YN, because it makes them uncomfortable due to no one ever taking care of them before. On the other hand, both Moon and YN have wide personal spaces, and neither care for opening up or being vulnerable.

Over time, Sun and Moon both but heads with YN, and they all three learn from each other. They need each other in the beginning, YN being too reckless with themselves and Sun and Moon not knowing enough to survive or what to do, but by the end of the story? Sun and Moon have learned enough from YN, learned enough from their experiences on the road, that they would do just fine without YN. Thrive, even. And YN is more careful with themselves, and has plenty of money by the end, and they would do great by themselves too. But they want each other.

They don't need each other, their goals are fulfilled and they've solved the mysteries, found out everything they sought to. Because throughout the entire fic, all three of them are searching for a home. YN seeks something in the beginning without even realizing it, an itch under their skin they can't scratch. Sun and Moon are tired and traumatized, and they want a place they can be safe, that's theirs.

None of them realize that they find their homes in chapter one; not in a place, but in each other.

It's August and I'm gonna be in the MD/VA/DC area for a month to visit my partner @edaworks in a couple weeks and I am feeling downright mischievous about some trips we have planned~

I never would have thought picking up Fallout 3 as an 18 year old that I would get to go see in-game places but guess what? Life is cool like that sometimes! While I spent a lot of time in Massachusetts/came just shy of living there, this Canadian has not travelled further south than Connecticut. I'm looking forward to Cook Out and Cheerwine :D
