In the wake of the death of the "Angry Reviewer" schtick, I feel like there's an urge to re-evaluate every hated kids' cartoon and go "See? It's not bad, you're just too old and overly nostalgic for the stuff YOU grew up on" but It's really worth noting that there are reasons why some "Overly Nostalgic" criticisms never faded.

I rewatched an old GodzillaMendoza video (specificaly the Deadpool game video) and honestly his voice made me think of your Peter.
mm... he's got the flavour, sure! nasal and shrill. buuut i'm not into it. i can't stand to listen to this guy for longer than 15 seconds but i can listen to quantum tardigrade guy en loope all day. i think it's also about the tone of voice, not just objective qualities. and i just love tardigrade guy's feverish excitement and kind of... air-headedness about him where. he is saying smart things, yes, but in a way that makes him sound so, so stupid.

here's to peter parker being objectively genius but still sounding so, so stupid whenever he opens his mouth. i love him.

I legitimately believe that despite there are people who have reasonable criticisms. But the Spider-Man fandom is likely one of the most miserable people or...it's just me scrolling through Bill Anderson's Twitter. And I'm surprised this dude doesn't just quit Twitter and just take care of his kids. And I have this guy muted.
But in all seriousness, with how the Spider-Man fandom is. I'm surprised I haven't said, "You know what, every Spider-Man adaptation sucks. Let's just go with that.". Or even make sure we don't get Spider-Man shit for a long time. But that's me being unfair.
And all I was trying to look for was that clip of GodzillaMendoza on Twitter where he talks about how Spider-Man writers these days won't go for or adapt certain stories that you hardly see in Spider-Man media.
I hate how a section of Twitter now has made me kind of hate Spider-Man or so.
Edit update but honestly, at least Bill agrees that seeing Spider-Man appear on Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur would be awesome as Hell. That's one positive I'll give him if I recall right when scrolling through his Twitter.

Comic Adaptations: Unlimited Fill In The Blanks
For April Fools Day, I'm going all in on being lazy. Why talk about great adaptations of #comics or comic adaptations when people like @Linkara19 @CasuallyComics @GodzillaMendoza @PillarGarbage @Collider beat me to it? #manga #comicbooks
Comic Adaptations in this case doesn’t mean what they are altogether. Instead for April Fools Day, we’re going to list all of people’s opinions. Well, almost all of them. Partly because this list is gonna be updated by the time there are more. And you don’t wanna know the other part. Best Comic Adaptations Rules None of Gutternaut’s posts will be on this post, for obvious reasons. These are…

Watching Godzillamendoza's defense of the Injustice Movie really does make my hatred for Injustice's main story all that more apparent. & my biggest exposure to Injustice were gameplay of the first game, the MOTUvsInjustice comic & that nail in the coffin for Jon Kent series.

Three videos on Venom, by or featuring GodzillaMendoza.
While I agree with Doug Walker that the psychologically tortured substance addict part of Eddie/Venom’s character and just how horrifically toxic the push-and-pull of the symbiotic relationship between the man and the alien can be even when Venom’s trying to do good are things that the movies not only failed to heavily emphasize but even downplayed to near nonexistence (which is why I hope the Venom that’s in the Prime MCU will deliver on that), he’s completely off the mark and full of it on everything else regarding Venom, which is on brand for him since he’s that way on just about everything relating to Spider-Man or X-Men or many Marvel Comics properties in general. Venom was hardly a super grim, super serious, totally dignified, complex and multi-layered character when he first came around - he was dark, freaky, violent, and edgy in all of the most unabashedly stupidest of ways and his character (both the writing for him and he himself in-universe) reveled in it, with his own dark sense of humor being a mirror to Spidey’s own quips. If your take on Venom isn’t emphasizing the alienness of the Symbiote and the horrors of what that does to the Symbiote AND the human host once they’ve bonded together, then I find that the best Venoms are the ones that don’t take themselves all that seriously. Those Venoms are just shlocky and dumb-yet-also-ellaboratly-creative fun in that late 80s/90s spirit that I think rings truest to the character’s roots, whereas the Venoms who are pushed as Big Totes Serious, Scary, Badass Villain/Antihero characters tend to bore the snot out of me.
(Side note on Carnage: aside from obviously his debut story, I feel like, as far as the comics go, “Maximum Carnage” was the story he was practically made for, and JUST that. Too much exposure afterwards and he becomes a one trick pony of a villain who just ain’t that deep or exciting. Same holds true for all versions of him, which is why I’d not mind another big screen outing from him possibly in MCU Prime to bring Spidey and Venom together, but no more after.)

You know, everyone always answers the question of “who would you like to be friends with?” or “what person would you like to meet?” with big celebrities and Youtuber’s, but I would honestly love to be friends with, or at least know/get to talk to, a small Youtuber called Godzilla Mendoza. I mean, I started watching his videos a few months ago and he’s already my favourite on the website. We share a lot of things income and have similar interests, but not to a point that we are too alike. I feel like I would love to have a conversation with him about...well anything.
And if you haven’t watched him and love comics you’ll love his channel, I highly recommend watching him

the problem with Spidey villains is that most of them aren’t well regarded enough to like, be pushed beyond their ‘status quo’, so it is just a constant regurgitation of their One Stock Storyline
