More Than You Know
Harvey Specter x Reader
Harvey had been in one of his moods today, and the whole firm knew it. Pretty much everyone had left him alone, letting him deal with whatever had gotten into him on his own. Donna, however, had a better plan. She dialed your number, watching Harvey work in his office as she waited for you to pick up.
Donna was the only person at the firm that you had met, only having been in a relationship with Harvey for around 6 months. If it were up to Harvey, you would’ve met everyone he knew the second you agreed to a first date with him, but you were a bit more apprehensive and wanted to keep your relationship all to yourselves for a while. He was fine with this and would never pressure you to do anything you weren’t comfortable with, but on the inside he was absolutely dying to show you off to everyone. Donna knew this conundrum of his, and figured it couldn’t hurt to work some of her magic.
“Hey Donna! What’s up?” You answered cheerfully. You adored Donna.
“Hey girl, I was calling to ask a favor. Really it’s a favor for the whole firm, actually.” She twirled the cord to the phone between her fingers, still keeping an eye on Harvey’s door.
“Uhh, sure? Is everything okay?” You asked nervously.
“Oh yeah everything’s fine, it’s just… Harvey‘s had a... rough morning and I thought it might cheer him up if you could stop by and surprise him with lunch? If you’re not busy, that is.”
You smiled, the idea that Donna thought maybe you could lift his mood with your presence made your heart nearly burst. This fact alone overrode any nerves you had about meeting his colleagues prior to now.
“Of course, I can be over there in a little bit!” You said happily.
Donna smiled, breathing a sigh of relief. She mentally thanked the universe that she only had to deal with Harvey’s foul mood for a little bit longer.
It was only about an hour later when you were exiting the elevators at Harvey’s firm, passing the metallic names on the wall and smiling softly when you saw Harvey's. You walked up to the reception desk, a little nervously.
“Uh, hi! I’m here to see-“
"Y/N!" You heard a woman exclaim from behind you. You turned to see Donna's smiling face, eager to be the first one to greet you. She gave you a big hug before whisking you through the halls of the firm. You got polite smiles from various employees, who surely thought you were just another client. Aside from Donna, Harvey hadn't told anyone he was in a relationship. If you weren't comfortable meeting anyone yet, he didn't want to deal with any questions regarding you until that time came.
She walked you to Harvey's office, knocking on the door.
"Yes Donna?" He asked, not looking up from his work.
"I have someone here to see you, it seems pretty important." she told him, her voice feigning urgency. She left the room before he looked up, smiling to herself that she'd pulled this off.
"I'm kind of busy, can they wai-Y/N?” He cut himself off, shock evident in his voice. You smiled at him, giving a little wave before he walked over to you and wrapped you in a huge hug.
“Hi baby, surprise!” You whispered in his ear.
“Hi love, what are you doing here? I mean, not that I’m not happy to see you but… I just thought…” he trailed off, and you knew what he was getting at.
You shook your head, smiling brightly.
“I’m ready.” You told him, placing your hands on his chest. “Plus, I wanted to take you out to lunch!”
The look of happiness on his face was something you wished you could frame and look at forever.
"Well come on then, I have a couple things to take care of, but after that I want you to meet everyone." He said with a proud smile, placing a hand on your back and walking you out of his office.
As Harvey took you on the grand tour meeting his colleagues and the associates, you couldn't help but smile at how sweet Harvey was being, checking a few times to make sure you were still comfortable and sneaking a few kisses when he thought nobody was looking.
"Wow Harvey, I have to say, this is a side of you I never thought I'd see" Mike said, visibly shocked as he watched Harvey tenderly kiss the top of your head, an arm around your waist while you chatted with Rachel.
"What can I say, she's something special" He said, looking down at you with a grin. You pretended not to hear their conversation as you continued your own, but your heart fluttered as you realized just how much Harvey loved you.
Later on at lunch, Harvey mused about how happy he was that he finally got to show you off.
"Everyone loved you, I hope this means that you'll come around and visit me at work more often." He couldn't stop smiling. "What changed your mind, if you don't mind me asking?"
"Donna called and told me you were having a rough day, and thought maybe I could help. Did it work?"
"More than you know, gorgeous."

Thank you so much for the kind words and the request! Hope you enjoy this one 😊 And bear with me, this is a looooong one. I seriously got carried away writing this.
GETAWAY HOUSE
She marched towards Harvey's office, her face red with anger. "Mike, get out," she ordered a visibly surprised Mike. "But we are in the middle of..." she lifted her hand, "in the middle of a meeting, I know. But please, get out. I need to speak with Harvey." She looked at Harvey, and the two stared at each other. Mike left the room after realizing the obvious tension in the room and not wanting to stand in the way of a woman who looked like she might breathe fire.
She looked over her shoulder until she was sure that Mike had closed the door. "I will give you a good 5 minutes to explain why the hell is Pharma Pro insisting on settling," she folded both arms in front of her. Harvey didn't even look at her. He looked busy writing something on a paper in front of him. "You tell me, they're your client," Harvey gave her a quick glance before he looked back down at the paper. "Don't give me that shit, Harvey. They received a memo. It was signed "Specter" on the memo. I never signed my name like that on a memo. The only Specter who knows this case is you." Harvey put down his pen and said, "You are another Specter who not only knows but is handling this case." She gaped. "Harvey, I have to spend my morning explaining why there is a memo under my surname that they have to settle after just yesterday I told them to go to court." Harvey watched her for a few seconds. She looked pissed, and most of all, there was betrayal in the eyes he loved the most. "Yes, it was me." She took a sharp breath and sat in front of him. "Why?" she asked quietly, her eyes glued to the black desk in front of her. "You won't win in court," Harvey said simply. She heard no trace of guilt or remorse in the voice she knew very well. "You don't trust me?" Her voice was just above a whisper. She was on the verge of crying. The thought of her own husband not trusting her judgment in her own case... And he had to interfere. Basically, embarrassing her in front of her biggest client. "We just got this firm back on its feet, and I am the new managing partner. If you lose Pharma Pro, it won't look good on us. I don't trust your call, so I had to step up," Harvey said as his voice softened at the sight of his wife, who looked like she was about to burst into tears. Harvey knew she had been through a lot to be where she was right now, but not once did Harvey ever see her cry, at least not over some work. "But you could've come to me and discussed it with me. You are my husband, yes. But I will never overrule you here in the office." Harvey scoffed. "If we discuss this, you will still proceed to court." She pulled her hand out of Harvey's grasp. "Yes! Because they are my client, and I know them better than you." She stood so fast that she almost knocked over the chair she was sitting on. Harvey looked up at her wife, seething with anger. Harvey's jaw tightened. "You think you would still sign with Pharma Pro if it weren't for my last name being yours?" She gasped as both her hands flew to cover her mouth. She grabbed the edge of the chair; she felt like Harvey had just slapped her. The second the words got out of his mouth, he knew it was a total mistake. "Sunny, I..." she interrupted him by lifting her hand. She took a deep breath and tried so hard to compose herself. "You know what, Harvey? I thought I would bring this secret to the grave, but three months before we got married, I got a senior partner offer from Skadden. Skadden, Harvey. Not just any firm. Skadden. No, I wasn't using your name then. I turned them down because I love this firm. And the thought of working side by side with my husband was so heavenly back then. The thought of how we could always support each other..." She trailed off, her voice shaking. "I turned that offer down even though I knew Jessica wouldn't mind. And you know what they said after I turned them down? They said the offer will firmly stand if I want to take it in the future. But again, Harvey, I think you know me better than whoever it was at Skadden. And no, it wasn't your name that got me to sign Pharma Pro. I slept with Russell Whitmore. Is that the truth you want to hear?" Her words cut through Harvey, even though he knew she was lying. She stormed out of his office as he tried to catch up with her. He grabbed his arm, and she sharply looked back at him and said, "Don't you fucking dare follow me, Harvey." Harvey stood there, frozen in place, as he saw his wife fade away from view.
It was 15 minutes before midnight. Harvey stood at the doorway to Mike's office. Harvey didn't go after his wife earlier today. But when he (most definitely on purpose) walked past his wife's office, he found it empty. And it wasn't even 5. "Are you just going to stand there, Harvey? You creep me out," Mike said as he flipped over a file. Harvey snapped out of it. "I want to ask if you know where my wife is," Harvey asked carefully. "I don't know, Harvey. She's your wife," Mike shrugged. "Didn't Rachel tell you if she was with her?" Mike finally looked at Harvey. Mike has to admit that Harvey looked very stressed. "Again. I don't know, Harvey. Maybe if you stopped being a certified douchebag, you would know the whereabouts of your wife." Mike looked sharply at Harvey, whose shoulders slumped at Mike's answer. As much as Mike wanted to help Harvey out, it wasn't his place. "I took it you heard about the fight?" Mike let out a sarcastic laugh. "Donna saw your wife crying in the toilet. Donna told Rachel, and Rachel told me. In the process of Rachel telling me, Louis heard. Yeah, everyone knew. And before you asked, yes, everyone sided with your wife." Harvey let out a defeated sigh as he rubbed his forehead. "Give her time, Harvey." Harvey nodded at Mike's advice before going back to his office.
Harvey was deep in thought, listening to his father's record while nursing a glass of whisky. "I very much don't want to see your face, but Gretchen already went home, and I need you to sign this fast." Harvey closed his eyes at the voice of Louis. The last thing he needs now is Louis chewing on his ass. "What is it, Louis?" Harvey turned away from the window as he walked to his desk. Louis didn't say a thing; he just pointed at the document he brought. Harvey nodded as he sat down and started skimming the document. "If I didn't promise your wife I wouldn't beat the shit out of you, I would've beaten the shit out of you," Louis said quickly, his face red. Harvey looked up slowly at Louis for the sudden outburst. "When she got married to you, she asked me to walk her down the aisle. We aren't even related, but she chose to come to me. She is like a ..." Louis choked on his own words. "She is like a daughter to me. And what you said to her, Harvey... And if you don't make this right, I swear to God, Harvey, I will make your life a living hell. I would gladly be her attorney if she chose to divorce." Harvey nodded as he handed Louis the document.
Harvey got home just a little after 3. After he made sure that his wife wasn't home, he chose not to be home at any cost. But at the same time, he longed to be home. Harvey poured himself another glass of whisky. He watched the fire as he laughed to himself. His wife would've scolded him if she knew he poured himself yet another glass of whisky at this hour. But his wife wasn't here, and his heart heaved. He checked his phone. Nothing. He left him 7 voicemails and more than 10 texts; all of them sat cold. Then he realized that he hadn't seen Donna all day in the office today. He quickly grabbed his phone and called Donna. She didn't pick up, considering the time, but he tried again. "Harvey, if the firm isn't on fire, I would hang up right now," came Donna's hoarse voice at the other line. "Donna, I'm sorry; please don't hang up. Is my wife there?" Harvey asked, a glimmer of hope apparent in his voice. Silent. "Donna?" Another silent. Harvey checked his phone just in case the phone abruptly ended. "She is here." Harvey sighed in relief. "Okay, I'm going there now," Harvey said as he stood up. "Harvey, no," Donna said firmly. "No?" Harvey stopped in his tracks. "Give her time, Harvey. You really hurt her." Harvey's turned to stay silent. "Harvey, remember how many times she got to cut you some slacks? How many times has she stood by your side, no matter what? How many times did she get back to you after you hurt her and you only gave her a simple apology? How many times, Harvey?" Harvey bit his lip, forcing him to hold a sob. "Will she come back, Donna? I'll give her all the time in the world; just tell me, Donna. Will she come back?" Donna closed her eyes as she heard the hoarseness of Harvey's voice. "I don't know, Harvey. I don't know," Donna said truthfully.
Harvey didn't sleep that night. He got back to the office early in the morning. He saw Donna, who smiled curtly at him. He didn't expect to see his wife in her office when he walked past her office. She wasn't there. But to Harvey's surprise, there she was. Sat gracefully in the conference room, holding a meeting with Pharma Pro's execs. He caught her eye. Before he got the chance to smile at her, she turned her focus back to Russel Whitmore, the CEO of Pharma Pro. Harvey sighed and headed to the elevator. He himself had a meeting to attend.
Harvey got back to the office around 5. When he passed her wife's office, he saw her there. Her back faced him. A few folders opened in front of her. As much as Harvey wanted to go in and hold her, he knew he had to give her some time. He got to his office and fired up his laptop.
A few hours later, Harvey almost lost his mind. His wife was just a few offices away, yet he couldn't do anything. He brought some papers and stood up to leave his office. He prayed so hard so that her wife would still be in her office. An office before his wife's, Harvey stopped himself. He took a deep breath and tried to calm his nerves. He couldn't remember the last time he was this nervous. He was nervous when his wife told him that he should talk to Louis for her hand in marriage. They were close. Really close. She was so close that she considered Louis her own family. Since she had no immediate family. But this is different. He felt like his marriage was on the edge. And it was all because of him. He took another deep breath and finally knocked on his wife's door before opening the door. Harvey sighed a breath of relief. His wife was still there, buried in a lot of files. "Hey," Harvey said softly as he entered her office. "Hey," she answered shortly, not knowing what to do. She wanted to yell at Harvey and slap him. But dear God, the look on his face. She knew he hadn't slept. "Can I?" Harvey referred to the chair across from her. She only nodded. "I've been making this whole speech since last night about what I would say when we met. But seeing your face..." Harvey stopped himself. His hand itched to touch his wife. "I took you for granted. And I'm sorry, I really am." His wife looked at him stoically. "Here," Harvey showed her the papers he brought with him.

"A house in.. Hamptons? This is your way of saying sorry? Oh yeah, right. I couldn't afford a house in the Hamptons since I'm a low-degree lawyer." She scoffed, and Harvey shook his head. "Remember the second day of our honeymoon?" Harvey asked. How could she forget? They stayed in a beautiful villa in Como.
"We should buy a villa here," she said as she climbed on top of Harvey. Both of them were in bed, with the vast view of Lake Como at their disposal. Nothing was between them but a thin layer of white sheet. She propped herself up; they were face-to-face. "And why is that?" Harvey asked, smirking at his wife. "So whenever we are tired, we can always come here and get away from the world." Harvey marveled at the look of wonder in his wife's eyes. "In here, it's just us. You," she kissed his lips, "and me." Harvey caressed his wife's bare back. "You do realize we are in Italy, right?" She giggled at the fact that they were indeed a 10-hour flight away from home. "Then at the Hamptons! It wasn't far," she said excitedly. "I don't need a getaway house. I have my wife and my job all in one place; I wouldn't need anything else." She wanted to argue, but Harvey turned them over as she squealed.
"I told you I don't need a getaway house. I don't need to be away from all this," Harvey said as he gestured to whatever was around them. "But all this without you? The stress of this place has led me astray from you. I hurt you. If I could do anything to even just lessen the pain I caused you, I would do it. I won't waste another word saying how much I'm sorry, but I will make it up to you." Harvey took his wife's hands in his, her eyes brimming with unshed tears. "If you let me, I will take you to our new house." Harvey's voice was laced with questions. "I know it is not Como. And we can always cancel this house if you don't want it. We could go there, and you can pick it yourself," Harvey rambled. Harvey stood up and moved his chair next to hers. "Please come with me. Let me fix this for us." Harvey put his hand on her cheek as she leaned into his warm hand. "Harvey, it's only Tuesday. I have my week full," she said, shaking her head. "If you agree, we can just leave first thing in the morning. I've cleared everything with Louis and Donna. Rachel and Mike will take on your clients. Just say yes," he said, closing the gap between them. His lips hovered over hers. She closed her eyes. "I'm still mad at you," she whispered. "I know, but let me prove to you that I want to be better; I'll make it up to you. Please, Sunny. This is my last chance, I swear to you. I love you more than life," he said, running his thumb across her lips. "I will drop everything here if that's what you nee..." Harvey didn't get the chance to finish his sentence. Harvey closed his eyes as he felt his wife's lips on his. He wanted to cry, for he thought he would never be this close again with his wife. He held his wife close. She broke the kiss, their foreheads touched. "Take me home, Harvey."

You can find the full scene on YouTube but boy do I love these few seconds!
I love the way Donna moves back and Harvey swoops in, like finally he’s mustered up enough courage to cross the line. I LOVE LOVE how the chorus of the song is perfectly timed with their kiss, the song choices on this show is impeccable. I love how Harvey closes the door behind him while holding his gaze on Donna. The pacing of this scene too; they kiss, pause, and then slide swiftly across the room. I’ve clearly watched this scene way too many times 😍

Rachel Zane and Beyond - Paralegal Portrayals in 'Suits' and Real Life
Tumblr media
As the popular legal drama series 'Suits' makes a comeback to the spotlight, fans are once again immersed in the fast-paced world of high-stakes litigation and corporate intrigue. One of the show's central figures, Rachel Zane, portrayed by Meghan Markle, brought attention to the role of paralegals in law firms. Today, we will explore the portrayal of paralegals in 'Suits' and compare it to the responsibilities of paralegals in real-life legal settings.
Tumblr media
The Glamour of 'Suits'
'Suits' captivated audiences with its glamorous portrayal of New York City's top law firm, Pearson Hardman (later Pearson Specter). The character of Rachel Zane, a paralegal with aspirations of becoming a lawyer, added depth to the show's ensemble cast and characters. Meghan Markle's portrayal of Rachel not only showcased her acting talent but also brought attention to the pivotal role of paralegals in the legal profession. In 'Suits,' Rachel Zane is depicted as a highly competent and resourceful paralegal who plays an important and integral role in the firm's success. Her responsibilities include legal research, document preparation, and case management, as well as helping the other lawyers as needed. Rachel's keen attention to detail and ability to think on her feet make her an indispensable asset to the firm's attorneys. As the series progresses, her ambition leads her to pursue law school and eventually become an attorney, highlighting the career trajectory that many paralegals aspire to achieve in the real world.
Real-Life Paralegal Responsibilities
While 'Suits' offers a stylized portrayal of the legal world, it also reflects certain aspects of real-life legal settings. Paralegals play a crucial role in law firms, providing support to attorneys and assisting with various tasks such as drafting legal documents and liaising with clients. Additionally, paralegals may specialize in areas such as litigation, corporate law, or real estate, depending on the firm's focus. Paralegals serve as invaluable members of legal teams, helping to streamline workflow and manage caseloads to ensure that deadlines are met. Their expertise and attention to detail contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of legal proceedings, making them indispensable assets to organizations.
Tumblr media
Conclusion
As 'Suits' returns to the spotlight and fans reminisce about Meghan Markle's portrayal of Rachel Zane, it's essential to recognize the significance of paralegals in both fictional and real-life legal settings. While the show may glamorize certain aspects of the legal profession, it also sheds light on the hard work and dedication of paralegals behind the scenes. Whether in the fictional world of Pearson Specter or the real-world law firms, paralegals play a vital role in supporting attorneys and ensuring that justice is served.

what if harvey specter’s wife worked from home and has a last minute work emergency, so harvey had to take their daughter to work? hope that made sense 😭.
I loved this prompt! I changed it eeeever so slightly but it doesn't affect the overall product. I'm working on making these longer which does mean that it'll take me longer between posts but I'm hoping length makes up for it?? Or maybe this is too long. Idk. I've been writing it for daysssss. I think I don't love the end quarter or so, but I wanted to get it out there. Also I decided to name the daughter, I'm not sure how I feel about doing that versus just using Y/D/N so let me know what you all think? I'd use a different name each time I wrote something with a daughter in it so that it doesn't feel like a series or the same character in different universes.

Work with Dad
Harvey Specter x Reader (except you're barely in it lol)
You rolled over at the sound of your phone buzzing incessantly on the nightstand, fumbling for it and answering sleepily.
"Hello? Oh shit, okay I'm on my way." Immediately, you got up and began rushing around to get ready.
"Who's that?" Harvey mumbled, having woken up to your call.
"Work, there's an emergency and I have to go take care of it. I know you have to work but, I can't take Olivia with me to the restaurant and my parents work today... Do you think you could bring her with you?"
Harvey sighed, knowing you were right. It would be easier for him to bring the four-year-old with him to his office as opposed to the very high-end restaurant you ran. Normally on the days you worked away from the house Olivia was in preschool, but today wasn't a school day for her.
"Yeah, that's fine. I have a pretty easy day today, and it's been a while since she's seen everyone anyway." He said, getting out of bed himself and heading to take a shower.
You quickly yelled to him before you left, thanking him for taking one for the team.
Once Harvey finished his shower, he pulled a suit from the closet and put the dress shirt and pants on, opting to leave his suit jacket off for now, knowing he'd likely have to do some wrangling of a certain toddler. As he had this thought, tiny footsteps sounded down the hall toward the bedroom.
"Hi Daddy" Said the tiny voice of his daughter as she ran toward him, arms in the air.
"Good morning princess! How'd you sleep?" He asked, lifting her with ease and kissing her cheek.
"Good, where's Mama?" She asked, knowing the two of you normally got ready together each morning. She was pretty damn smart for her age, and Harvey knew this fact would get him into trouble someday.
"Mama had to go take care of something at work, but guess what? You get to spend the day with Daddy at the firm!" He told her excitedly, raising his eyebrows.
Olivia was hesitant at first, she didn't know exactly what it was that her dad did every day, but she saw him on his computer a lot, and that didn't seem very exciting to her. She was about to protest this, but then she remembered some of her most favorite people worked with her dad.
"Can we see Mike and Rachel?" She asked.
Harvey laughed, nodding.
"And Donna?"
"And Donna." He confirmed with a smile. "You wanna get dressed so we can go see them?"
Immediately, she began squirming to get down from his grasp. Harvey obliged, following the girl to her room to help her pick out an outfit. She eventually elected for her favorite pink dress with flowers, and Harvey approved, finding her a pair of shoes to match.
A short while later, Harvey and Olivia were headed up to the Pearson Specter offices. She couldn't stop talking about how excited she was to see everyone, and Harvey had to keep reminding her that they had work to do and that they might not be able to be with her as much as she had hoped. Harvey had packed a day's worth of activities in a backpack to keep the little girl occupied in his office, and hopefully out of everyone else's business.
The elevator doors opened, and Olivia nearly pulled Harvey's arm out of the socket trying to get to her favorite people as fast as she could. He scooped her up into his arms, foiling her plans. She adorably crossed her arms in frustration, making Harvey chuckle as he walked toward his office.
"We just have to drop our stuff off in Dad's office first, then we can go see your friends, okay baby?"
She agreed, understanding that the quicker she cooperated, the quicker she got what she wanted.
Harvey put all their stuff down in a small pile on the couch in his office, telling himself he'd deal with it later. He knew Donna wouldn't be in for a little longer as he was earlier today than he normally was, but Mike and Rachel were more than likely already hard at work.
"Alright princess, wanna go see Mike?"
Her eyes went so wide Harvey thought they'd pop out of her head. He laughed and opened his door, pointing down the hall and following as she ran ahead of him. She nearly missed his door she was going so fast, but stopped herself when she noticed him seated at his desk.
"Knock before you go in, Liv" Harvey reminded the girl, grinning when her tiny fist tapped the glass of Mike's office door.
He looked up, not seeing her at first and waving Harvey in and looking back down at his stack of papers.
"You're in early, something wrong?" "MIKE!!!" Olivia yelled, startling the junior partner before realizing what was going on.
"Livi! How's my favorite Specter?" He asked, getting out of his chair to lift her into a bear hug.
She giggled uncontrollably until he set her back down.
"Well, I'd be offended but she happens to be pretty cool, so I'll let you have that." Harvey said, grinning as he watched his daughter run in circles around Mike's office while he chased her. There wasn’t much space in the junior partner's office, so the chase didn’t last very long.
"Where's Rachel?" Olivia wondered out loud. Mike kneeled down to her level.
"Rachel has school in the mornings, so she won't be here for a little bit longer." Mike explained, but this only confused her further.
"But... isn't Rachel a grown-up?" She asked, making Harvey and Mike smile.
"She's in law school, baby. Some grown-ups go to extra school so they can do their special jobs. Daddy went to law school too, and Mama went to business school and cooking school." Harvey explained.
“Did Mike to go extra school?” Olivia asked
Harvey and Mike share a look before looking back at Olivia.
“Mike’s a long story.” Harvey said.
Olivia seemed to be satisfied, or she stopped caring about his answer. Either way, she nodded and continued laughing and playing with Mike while her dad stood off to the side, only a little offended that she hardly even remembered he was still standing there.
He looked down at his watch, noting the time and figuring Donna was probably at her desk by now.
"Liv, do you want to go see if we can find Donna?" Harvey asked, and the little girl screamed like she was at a Taylor Swift show, jumping up and down with pure glee.
"Did she get this excited to see me?" Mike asked. Harvey chuckled, shaking his head.
"Not even close, sorry Mike. C'mon kid, let's go" Harvey said, lifting Olivia high in the air and onto his shoulders, holding tightly as he walked.
"Oh Donna, I have a surprise for you," Harvey said over the sounds of his daughter's laughter.
"Well, I wonder what the surprise could be! Hmmm, is it a pony? Oh a pony wouldn’t fit in the elevator… Maybe you should give me a hint." She said facetiously, acting as if she had no idea Olivia was there.
"It's me!" Olivia yelled, unable to keep the ‘surprise’ of her presence in any longer.
"Oh it’s Olivia! Hi beautiful! That’s a way better surprise than a pony!" Donna exclaimed. "How'd you get so lucky to come to work with your dad?"
"Her mama had a work emergency so daddy got to take her in with him, huh Liv?" Harvey explained, and Donna nodded in understanding.
Olivia nodded, smiling down at both Donna and her dad, still up high on his shoulders. She reached her arms toward Donna, so Harvey lowered her to the floor. Donna quickly scooped her up and placed her on her hip, giving the girl hugs and exaggerated cheek kisses.
“It’s been so long since I’ve seen you, who let you get so big?”
Olivia pointed at Harvey, smiling happily.
“Umm no ma’am, I specifically told you to stop growing, if it were up to me you’d still be my tiny little baby.” Harvey said, poking her side playfully. She giggled, pushing his hands away with her tiny ones.
"Have you had fun so far Livi?" Donna asked, and Olivia smiled and nodded profusely.
"I ran down the hall soooo fast and Mike chased me in his office and then me and Daddy found you!"
"Wow Olivia! That sounds like a really cool morning!" A voice said from behind. Everyone turned to see none other than Jessica strutting down the hall.
Harvey knew Jessica wouldn’t particularly love the idea of his four year old daughter hanging around in his office all day, but he also knew there was nothing else he could do. He was a parent above anything else, so he was going to do what he had to do.
“Livi, do you remember Jessica?” Harvey asked.
Olivia nodded, a bright smile on her face.
“It’s great to see you again cutie” Jessica said with a smile of her own.
“Look I know you’re probably mad but-“
“Harvey relax, I’m not mad. Just as long as she doesn’t get into anything she shouldn’t, she's welcome here." Jessica stated, easing Harvey's mind. He nodded in understanding and watched as she walked back to her office.
"Alright Liv, I've got some work to do in my office and I brought you some fun stuff to do while I work. Maybe later we can come back out and see Donna if she's not too busy, alright?"
Olivia huffed in disappointment, but she knew better than to fight with her dad. He placed his hands out to grab her from Donna, who regrettably handed her over. She had known the little girl since before she was even born, and she loved her like she was her own blood.
Harvey was actually able to get some work done, and Olivia enjoyed her time coloring in her coloring books and playing with the toys her dad had packed for her. Soon enough, she was hungry for lunch and Harvey took her into the kitchen to retrieve the lunchable he had brought her. Eventually, she grew tired and ready for her nap. When Harvey looked over at his couch after a suspiciously long period of silence, he saw her fast asleep. He smiled, standing and taking his suit jacket off, draping it over her small frame. She napped this way for about an hour, and when she woke up, she was overjoyed to learn that Rachel had finally come to the office.
"Rachel!!!" Olivia yelled in the doorway of Rachel's office, and she was quick to run in for a hug.
"Livi! Hi cutie! I heard you were here today, I couldn't wait to get done with school so I could see you!" Rachel said as she scooped the little girl up for a big hug. Olivia wrapped her arms around Rachel's neck happily.
"Do you have fun at big girl school?" Olivia asked.
"Law school is very different from normal school, so it's a lot harder, but it's what I love doing so that makes it fun!" Rachel explained.
"Do you get to color there?"
"No, theres no coloring. There's lots of reading and talking to other students and learning though!"
"I think I like my school better, we get to color and play and sing!"
This made Rachel laugh, and nod her head.
"Keep it that way as long as you can girly." Rachel said.
"Liv, it's almost time to go home. You wanna come say goodbye to everyone?" Harvey interrupted from the doorway.
Olivia nodded sadly, crossing the room to take her father's outstretched hand.
"Bye Rachel, have fun in big girl school."
"I will, bye Livi"
Harvey led her back through the office, stopping at everyone's offices so she could say her goodbyes, stopping at Donna's desk last. She gave the red-haired woman the biggest hug she could, Donna was her most favorite person after all.
When Olivia got home, she was thrilled to find her mom was there waiting for her and Harvey with dinner in the oven. She couldn't resist telling her mother about every last detail of her thrilling day at her dad's job.
"Well that's exciting! It sounds like you were a good little employee for daddy" You mused, looking up at Harvey with a grin.
"She's the best damn paralegal I've ever had. Might just have to hire her" Harvey joked.
"Does that mean I have to go to big girl school? That sounds really not fun."
You and Harvey laughed.
"Baby, if you don't want to go to big girl school we can talk about that when you're older." You reassured.
"You think with that attitude she has she won't want to be a lawyer like her old man?" Harvey said, smirking.
"Oh, she'll want to be in debate before she hits high school."

Hi💗
I read (and loved😍) your Harvey fic in which the reader is mike's sister and I was wondering if you could write a lil fluffy piece on the same line of your other fics (with reader in a relationship with Harvey and who is also mike's sister) in which the reader get pregnant and they break the news to Mike and how he would react (I don't know why but I think it would be funny ahaha)
Bun in The Oven
Thank you for the request! I'm terribly sorry it took sooooo long. But here we go and enjoy!
You can read this as a standalone or as part of this fic.

Rachel was slightly confused when she saw Mike's sister in Harvey's office, knowing Harvey had asked for her. She thought it was about the case they were on together. After exchanging hugs with Mike's sister, Harvey told Rachel to sit down. Harvey stood up from his chair and straightened himself. Rachel noted something odd about him today, and his usually chirpy girlfriend also seemed a little quiet today. He situated himself on the sofa beside his girlfriend. Rachel suddenly became nervous, too. Maybe they aren't together anymore, Rachel thought. Shit, what if Harvey cheated on her? Rachel suddenly snapped out of her reverie when Harvey called out her name. "There's news we would like to share with you." Harvey took a deep breath as he took her girlfriend's hand in his. Rachel noticed the gesture. "We're pregnant; no, I mean, she's pregnant; I'm not," Harvey stammered, then let out a nervous chuckle. Rachel was taken aback, not just by the news but by years of working in the firm; this was the first time Rachel saw Harvey stammer. But she managed to compose herself. "Are you guys happy?" Rachel asked, truly curious. "We are more than happy, Rach. This is a surprise, but one we wouldn't have any other way."
The three of them still crowd Harvey's office. "Mike could never refuse a homey and hearty meatloaf; I don't know, but it always put him in a good mood." Rachel nodded at the younger woman. Honestly, she rarely cooked at home; she knew Mike's favorite takeouts, but home-made dishes? It's out of her league. And after all, she's Mike's sister. "Should I look for an interesting pro bono case?" The two women shifted their attention to the only man in the room. For the very first time since they got into this discussion, Rachel finally got a good look at Harvey. Everyone who knows Harvey Specter knows that he is full of confidence. His middle name is Confidence. But one look at him, and Rachel swore he was a nervous wreck. Despite the visible discomfort, Harvey's idea wasn't entirely bad. If anything, it was great. An interesting pro bono case, hand-delivered by the managing partner, would certainly put Harvey on Mike's good side. "I will give him the case first thing in the morning, before dinner later that day." Both women beside him nodded in unison. "Why are you guys making such a fuss about breaking the news to him? I mean, if you don't mind me asking," Rachel asked. She bit her lip and looked at Rachel. "After Mike knew me and Harvey were together, our dynamics weren't the same anymore. Whenever he visited my bakery, he would ask me if Harvey had made any mistakes yet or things like that. It also happened with his relationship with Harvey. I feel like we are walking on thin ice here." Rachel gave her hand a gentle squeeze. "I'm sorry, I didn't know. Mike never told me," she smiled knowingly at Rachel.
Later that day, after settling everything for their dinner plan, they parted ways. Harvey sat on one of the chairs in his girlfriend's bakery. He watched as she checked and counted everything. She was just about to finish the day. "Come sit with me; you shouldn't be standing up for too long," Harvey called for her, and she laughed. "I'll be 5 seconds, and we'll be out of here," she said as she walked to the back of her bakery. Harvey looked around; he seemed out of place here. Harvey had already thought about hiring an assistant for his girlfriend. Harvey followed in his girlfriend's footsteps earlier and found himself inside a tiny office. His girlfriend stood, facing a computer. "Sunshine," Harvey said as he wrapped his arms around her waist. Harvey put his palm flat on her lower stomach, caressing gently. She smiled, even though she wasn't showing yet, Harvey's favorite thing to do now is to caress her lower stomach. "Anything I can help you with so you can finish up faster? Remember what the doctor said? You shouldn't be too tired," Harvey frowned as she typed away. "Imma just add thiiiiis... and done," she said as she turned off her computer. She turned around and faced Harvey. Harvey grinned at her, and she laughed. "What?" Harvey shook his head, smiling, "Nothing; I'm just really happy. About us, our baby, and our little family."
"So I told him that he could shove his sorry excuse of an offer up his ass," everyone laughed at Mike's story. They were all sitting on the couch in Harvey's place, the fire burning slowly in the fireplace. They have done everything they could—the pro bono case Harvey gave to Mike earlier this morning, the food, everything. Now it was only time that Harvey broke the news. Rachel looked at Harvey, quietly nodding at him. "Mike, Rachel," Harvey started, getting their attention. "We have some news to share." Harvey took his girlfriend's hand, and she gave it a good squeeze, silently encouraging him. "Don't you dare tell me you cheated on her, Harvey, I swear to." Harvey didn't let Mike finish his sentence. "Hell no," Harvey said, shaking his head. "Then what? Are you two eloping in Vegas?" Mike almost yelled, brows knitted. Harvey looked at Mike in disbelief, about to open his mouth, when his girlfriend interrupted. "We're pregnant, Mike. It was definitely a surprise, but we are very excited." As she said that, the room fell awfully quiet. "Oh my God, we're so happy for you!" Rachel started and stood up as the two women hugged. Mike followed but still said nothing. Harvey stretched out his arms, ready to hug Mike, after Rachel hugged him. But it wasn't a hug that Harvey received. Mike's fist made contact with Harvey's jaw. For the next few seconds, it was a mess. Rachel gasped. Harvey was on the floor, and his girlfriend kneeled beside him, crying. "How dare you knock up my sister," Mike was ready to launch at Harvey again, but Rachel got in front of Mike. "Mike, stop, stop, please," Rachel pleaded, both her hands on Mike's chest. " Mike still tried to get past Rachel. "I told you to take care of her, Harvey! Not to knock her up!" Mike screamed, and Rachel flinched. Harvey stood up, his girlfriend beside her. Harvey nodded at Rachel to ushered Mike outside to the balcony.
"Are you out of your mind, Mike?" Rachel scolded him. He stood, head hung low, while Rachel stood in front of him, hands folded in front of him. "You stay out of this, Rachel," Mike said, his voice barely audible. "Stay out of it? We're getting married. Your sister is my sister too. And Harvey is a close friend of ours! They are so happy about it, Mike." Rachel sighed and sat beside him. She took his hand in hers. "Mike, she is your sister; she is happy." Rachel tried to reason with him. "Haven't you heard about Harvey? A walking heartbreaker," Mike scoffed as he continued, "Now my sister will be tied to him for the rest of her life." Rachel shook her head. "Ask again, Mike. Is that the Harvey you heard people talk about or the Harvey you knew all these years?" Rachel pulled her hand from Mike's and got back inside. Mike saw Rachel walk to where Harvey and his sister sat. His sister was visibly upset; her eyes were red. Rachel said something to Harvey, and he nodded and stood up. Rachel took Harvey's place, and they hugged. Harvey walked over and opened the sliding door leading to the balcony. Mike turned his face away, and Harvey sat next to him. "I know you're upset. But I don't appreciate you acting like that in front of the mother of my child. She isn't supposed to be stressed about something, let alone crying." Mike looked at Harvey. "We are happy. You might see me as someone who will never marry or plan for a child." Harvey let out a bitter laugh. "I thought the same too until I met your sister, and I would drop anything to be with your sister. I love her, Mike. She loves me. We are so happy about this. About our little family. When will you finally see that?" Mike still looked at Harvey, his face as stoic as ever. "We are going to have this baby, with or without your blessing." Harvey leaned closer. "I let this one slide, Mike. You are his brother, but no one disrespects my girlfriend like that, ever." Mike nodded. "So either you go back inside, tell your sister you are sorry, or you can show yourself the way out," Mike sighed. "I'm.." he paused, contemplating what to say next. "I'm sorry, Harvey. I've known you for years; if anything, I knew you better than anyone. I'm sorry I misjudged you. I've been treating you differently, even treating my sister differently." Mike shook his head, eyes closed. Harvey stretched his arms, once again inviting him for a hug. This time, Mike smiled at him.
"I will read this baby, The Constitution, every day," Mike's sister gasped. "What?" Mike asked and seemed oblivious. "He's going to be a lawyer, hands down," Mike said matter-of-factly, followed by nods from both Harvey and Rachel. "He will be like the best damn closer this city has ever seen." Rachel joked, imitating Harvey. "He? How if the baby is a she?" Both Harvey and Mike groaned at the same time. "I'll get my 9 mm ready," Mike said, face all serious. "You have a gun?" Rachel asked in horror. "Imagine all the boys trying to date her," Mike said as Harvey's face paled. Harvey placed a hand on her still-flat stomach. "Whatever this baby might turn up, he or she," Mike turned to his sister, "will be very much loved." Harvey nodded at Mike after he saw his girlfriend smile so wide with teary eyes. "One thing," Mike said, "I want my name as the baby's middle name."
