The cartoons scene.

Crowley is sitting in a mostly-empty movie theater to watch cartoons. Why.

He's holding a bucket of popcorn that looks untouched. Also why.

The one other person in the theater (who I'm aware is Neil Gaiman making a cameo) does not move or speak or display any reaction whatsoever when Hastur starts talking to Crowley through the screen. Is he asleep? Do humans not perceive these things when they're happening?

Crowley TAKES THE POPCORN WITH HIM WHEN HE LEAVES.

Residunce: Angelic Embassy X also known as AZ Fell & Co, 105 Whickber Street, London.

Known Earthly Occupations: Guard of Eden, Music Tyooter, White Knight, Garden Deziner, Bishop, Bookseller. (written by a pencil: +TERRIBLE MAGISHUN)

Weaponry: Flaming Sord.

On sighting: AVVOID A wily opponent, this demon smiter must be warily approached. Report any interactions to the demon Crowley. (the word 'Crowley' is circled and underlined several times by a pencil + note: CHANGED HIS NAME? YUCK!)

i think it’d be really cool if the King in Yellow looked like one of those giant puppets they use in stage plays. the ones that have very obvious visible puppeteers moving them, but still seem so alive. i imagine that the main body seems to be controlled by the dancers, but the tentacles move on their own.

Why won’t characters such as Hastur be making a return?

I'm not sure what you mean by "characters such as Hastur". But of the characters like Hastur, Ligur isn't coming back because he's dead, the Usher isn't coming back because he's dead, Dagon is coming back, Beelzebub is coming back and Eric is coming back.

Hastur isn't coming back because I didn't have anything for him to do this season.
