So I decided to start keeping bags for the homeless in my car.

Its not much. Its a (12 individual) 1-gallon ziplock bag with:

Toothbrush and cover

2-3 spiral Hair ties

First aid kit

2 packs of ramen

Toothpaste

Soap

Shampoo

Conditioner

Deodorant (both male and female)

Beef jerky

Nuts

Raisins

4-5 Tampons

Thats what I have. Any other ideas please comment on this post so others can see so if others want to make bags as well.

My only problem is before I made these bags I saw a lot of homeless people in my area. Now I'm not seeing as many. I'm hoping these people are okay and not struggling.

Im working on making some tie blankets too to give away so hopefully I can give the ziplocks or (eventually better bags) and the blankets to those in need.

Long story but I kinda gotta. Move states in and be homeless there instead, cause like. I don't have a support network for myself where I am, I don't have any connections with anyone to helo me out. But I will where I'm going. Nobody's gonna take me in, but I'd have people who can help me out when I need it. Which is better than like. Having nothing at all.

So it'd be rightfully stupid of me to not take that opportunity yea?

Problem is err, I'm still gonna be homeless, obviously. So I kinda need money

For like. Anything

Food, clothes, hygiene supplies, transportation, what have you. Unlike the other times I've regrettably had to make a post, this time around there's not going to be any sorta set goal for how much I need.

So I can't edit this to show what it is exactly, but I basically just got shamed by a Facebook "friend" for offering to share this link to get laundry supplies for my birthday. So now I'm miserable and that wasn't what I'd wanted to happen at all.

So if anyone would like to cheer me up, this is my family's Homeless Supplies list. I need as much of the laundry and disinfectant stuff as I can get. Clothes for me (or even my mom, because she still needs pants) would be a huge help, as I lost 40 pounds last year and most of my stuff is too big or it's full of holes. Food is much appreciated by all three of us.

Can't help? Reblog. Don't care/don't want to help? Don't be an asshole about it. Just ignore me or block me or whatever. But I am thankful to everyone who has helped, everyone who continues to help us, and everyone who is inspired to help. It's basically a waiting game with disability at this point for us to get housing, so all I can do is wait and hope.

believe it or not, I had these doodled before the update! Granted, bp was colored slightly different than now, but it's easy to fix that with pixels~! Frankly my ideas on how my shining grandpapa Grand Reef haven't changed much! In fact, I think the conformation that bp has (or had) sisters helps me! Hello friends, I need your help.

Yesterday, 04/04/24, I became homeless; I don’t have a home anymore.

I only have my car, luckly, so that’s where I’m staying with my cat.

I’m currently in my first year of university but I’m going to drop out soon as I can’t afford to pay the fees. I’m looking for a new job, of course, but as of right now I don’t have enough money to do anything about my situation.

I will not share my exact location for safety reasons but I will tell you that I'm living in my car near a gym so as not to be isolated. Physically I am fine, emotionally not really but it doesn't matter.

I’m asking for your help because I don’t know what else to do. I have some links in my bio, if you can donate anything, even just one euro is going to make the difference.

It's a Match!

Being the King of the Infinite Realms didn't really give you many dating options. There were no candidates who weren't committed or completely sincere, and Danny was feeling sensitive those days so he was frustrated. The Observants telling him to get a partner to create a "better future" and offering horrible options was especially infuriating those days, he wished they would stop meddling in his life.

Sam and Tucker, seeing the halfa's frustration did what any friend would do in such a situation: They created a profile for him on a dating app. Although they didn't notice that when they connected it to Technus' Internet the app started taking "candidates" from other dimensions that had it.

Despite not trusting it much at first, Danny eventually embraced the idea and very quickly connected with "Jason Todd" who claimed to be a zombie. Danny thought it was funny and told him he was a ghost, which Jay obviously didn't believe. Ironically, they matched because of the "I died" jokes on their profiles.

The only problem was when Jason asked to meet (he was absolutely convinced that Danny was either homeless or living on the streets due to his refusal to send pictures from home and wanted to feed him) and Danny didn't know how to tell him that he didn't know what dimension he was in.

Okay so

Dry shampoo. You can get body powder or dry shampoo from dollar stores. It'll absorb the grease, and prevent moistness from causing infection. It comes in a powder, which you can vigorously fluff through your hair, making it look and feel clean. This is a valid form of hygiene. You do not need water to be hygenic and have human grooming behaviors.

You can brush your teeth with soap. Or salt. Or baking soda. Or hydrogen peroxide. Or with JUST WATER. But you NEED. TO BRUSH. YOUR TEETH. especially if you're poor and you can't afford a dentist. Tooth infections kill people.

Buy deodorant. The spray kind smells good, but it doesn't help with comfort. Carrying stick antiperspirant (not JUST de-odor ant, ANTI PERSPIRANT which means anti-sweat) and applying it every time you start to feel uncomfortably sweaty or like other people will judge you for how you smell, it will help. It will quickly become a habit if you pay attention to your body becoming uncomfortable because of sweat or smell.

Every once and awhile, when you notice a buildup of any sort of gunk, take a washcloth and vigorously scrub the area in question.

You do not need to shower every single day. That can quickly add up to lost energy and lost money. But you DO need to make sure that you're psychically comfortable and you smell nice, because it's been proven that humans need any sort of self grooming behavior to keep themselves happy and healthy.

And anyone who looks at this: do NOT make fun of how people smell. Do NOT make fun of people for not showering every day. Some people are literally incapable, physically or mentally.

Hi. im luno, im a nuerodivergent (autistic, adhd) and queer minor who is part of an also nuerodivergent 6 person family (5 children, one parent). i am homeless, i have been homeless for about a month now, and my family has almost no money. we have been using it to secure a place for our belongings (a small storage unit), our phone bills, and hotels to be at least a little comfortable. we became homeless under a terrible circumstance that i don't feel comfortable saying the exact details of, but someone really dicked us over. i really need people to spread this and pitch in via money, we have been trying to get resources and things to help but we live in LA, and so there are no resources to accommodate families of our size.

PLEASE please PLEASE reblog and spread, post it to other social sites if you need, we need help really bad to survive

So things have taken a slight turn for the worse, and while the shelter staff is amazing and our caseworker is doing everything she can for us, we just need to get out of a toxic environment and get into housing as soon as we can. The low-income housing fell through (we don't make enough money for a three-person household, even though we could cover the rent), so tomorrow I'm going through the list I got from the Oceanside housing office and calling everyone. I did talk to a lovely person at a complex in Fallbrook about a place we could afford but she said check every week because there may be an opening if a military family has to leave on short notice.

A friend of mine is going to cover most of the last of the loans for us (around $1500) on the 27th or so so we'll have more money to put toward moving costs if a place opens up. I know I have one $140 loan payment, one $125 loan payment and my mom has a $210 payment we need covered, plus we owe the cable company $163 for equipment we have in storage and can't get to until we get housing.

I'm setting a goal for $1000; anything else will go for apartment application fees and food once my food stamps run out (we get three meals a day but Lena is gone from, like, 6 AM to 9 PM and misses them so I send her to Starbucks with food).
