hi i know it seems very weird to be asking for money when my grandpa just died but fuck even though i am sort of optimistic we'll reach our goal i am still stressed as hell about what our future housing situation actually is gonna be, like we aren't gonna be on the streets as we have supports but i just. Want this nightmare to be over given all the bs we've gone through in the last month and a half. like having to drop out of school losing my job getting scammed out of housing not being able to find a job and having to rely completely on my art (which pls understand I LOVE having my art business but it's still stressful), Mason's job being delayed, my grants for school being turned into loans, existing as an anti-zionist Jewish convert in general right now, and my chronic illnesses, and now my grandpa dying and me not even getting to go in and see him because his daughter invited everyone and nobody managed to get me in because it's been so busy, I'm so fuckin tired and drained. Fuckin hell. Some friends have donated today full disclosure, and we're on our way to be able to get housing that works, but we still need help towards it. If people can please either get stuff from my redbubble or donate if they can I really would like to have a bit less stress on my plate in regards to our future

This week, while I have been at my mother’s house, I have had the honor and privilege of helping all of her elderly neighbors with tasks around the house. I activated a life alert, wired in some smart switches, found the grave of a neighbor’s parent at the veterans cemetery, trimmed some bushes, and fixed a shower head.

Everyone is so grateful for the help and it’s honestly no effort for me at all. I am happy to help. All I can say is that If you have elderly neighbors, do yourself a favor and ask them if they need help. You feel good for doing it and those who need help get it.

It’s the small things in life that make all the difference.

He uniquely gifts His followers to serve according to His will. But if we’ve already decided what we can’t, won’t, or are ill-equipped to do, then we’re acting by our own will. We don’t want to miss the blessings that come with trusting God.

You may serve the Lord as a godly parent, as an employee who shares the gospel with coworkers, or as a friend who listens to people who are hurting. The only people I go out of my way to offer a cigarette to are folks that are elevated in a very relatable way to me. I had learned from a past psych dr that nicotine can function as a self meditation for those in psychosis.

After I experienced this shit for myself, now I understand what's up when someone I don't know from a can of paint is aggressively talking at me on some paranoid or strange stuff. If I didn't understand it, there are people I would've felt threatened by, and I might not respond the right way.

Now I'll ask if they want one and nearly everyone accepts

One guy known downtown is perpetually in an episode, they never take him to the hospital, but put him jail for a night or few, and put him back in the streets. Everytime I see him I give him one, and let him say what he feels the need to, most the time he's connecting dots that don't make sense.

He's been struggling like this since before last winter, and he can't be allowed some places because of stuff he says to people. But I'll always give him a smoke and snacks if I got them. He asked me one night why I'm always nice to him and give him cigarettes, and it's because it's what would've helped me when I was in those states, wandering cities.

And I don't remember them as people, but when a person showed me kindness, they appeared as angels to me, a lot of the time I'd see someone I recognized by face, and I remembered when someone was kind to me.

Most of society is brutal towards people experiencing episodes, and you're more likely to experience violence from others while psychotic than you are to be violent

I would hate you.

And I would not trust you at times.
