Since Hibiki's birthday happens to fall on the day of a Dreamcatcher comeback for me (they are my ult kpop group - I wanna figure out what they'd look like in my art style asdlknads), I thought "What if Hibiki was in a rock/punk aesthetic?" and "I want to draw her with a different hairstyle."

Christmas.

That time of year where magic blooms in the air, as snow coats the rooftops a glittering stardust-silver. Families and friends gather together to rejoice with their loved ones, to celebrate the almost-end of one year and the almost-start of the next.

Ensemble Square is no different.

Perhaps these Christmas parties, extravagant as they can be, are Tenshouin-senpai’s way of asking for forgiveness. And perhaps this easy acceptance is everyone else’s way of giving to him, on a night where all grudges are discarded, just for a few hours.

Still, that doesn’t mean certain people don’t take every opportunity to avoid your aforementioned blond senpai, even if it means retreating to the food tables and stirring the nearly half-empty punch bowl, the liquid a bright magenta colour. “I wouldn’t advise getting thIS.” Natsume says when he notices you walking closer. “I think someone spiked IT.”

“Good to know? But I actually came here for you.”

Natsume raises an eyebrow and wiggles his fingers in a ‘go on’ gesture.

“How long do you plan on avoiding Tensho–mmph!?”

“Don’t say his naME.” He hisses, looking around furtively. “What if he hears yOU?”

He’s not a demon, you want to say, a little irritable. But that would involve removing his hand from your mouth and you decide to take the…pettier route.

“EUGH!” Natsume yelps, yanking his hand back as he glares at you. “Did you just lick ME?”

You open your mouth to speak, but before you can, a boisterous voice interrupts you. “Oho ☆ And what’s this? Two little lovers trying to sneak away from the party? How duplicitous! Terrible, terrible thing to do at a party, you know. Oh my… And what’s that above your head?”

“Wataru-niisAN.” Natsume sighs, looking exasperated.

Wataru ignores him, instead gesturing above your heads with a theatrical flourish. His voice rises, drawing the curious gazes of everyone in the immediate vicinity. “Behold! Mistletoe! Our dear Natsume has been caught, it seems. How amazing ☆!”

“Hibiki-senpai, what–?” Wataru gives you a wink, before he’s shoving you closer to Natsume. You stumble, and the redhead doesn’t miss a beat as he wraps an arm around your waist to steady you. You place your hands flat against his chest.

“Come now, Natsume~ Don’t be shy.” Wataru hands you a rose, which you take with skeptically. “It’s a Christmas tradition!”

“Um, Hibiki-senpai, you’re causing a scene. Don’t force him…” You giggle awkwardly. “Besides, it’s not like he even wants to kiss me, haha…”

Natsume’s eyes narrow, catlike, and you feel a shiver go down your spine. When he looks at you like that–like he’s trying to figure you out–you freeze, deer in headlights. Except the headlights are Natsume’s molten honey gaze. “And what if I said I did want to kiss yOU?”

“Then I guess…” You hesitate, searching for an answer in his eyes. They soften, almost imperceptibly, but you notice. Your voice gets stronger. “I guess, you’ll just have to kiss me then.”
