how do I Markoth???

I have a dilemma: I'm on the last pantheon, but I have trouble with ascended Markoth, even in the Hallownest pantheon. I've fought him so many times already, he is literally one of the two gods on the board I have that are attuned anymore (everyone else is ascended and radiant except him and Abs Rad).

If anyone has any tips for me, plz let me know, I wanna finish Godmaster once and for all

I decided to test a bunch of different Charm "Packs". Finding out which ones you can beat the Pantheon of Hallownest with, the efficiency, and time it takes. Plus a few fun moments I had along the way. 🎉🎉🎉

The "Packs" I'll be going over are

Companion Pack

Soul Pack

Healing Pack

Nail Pack

And my least favorite

The FEAR Pack.

The rules for this was simple. I make a Charm 'Pack' which is a charm build! Then played Pantheon of Hallownest (P5) with said Pack. The goal was to see how to beat P5 with said Pack and strategies to use.

I'll start with my favorite Pack! The Companion Pack! I'd recommend this one just for fun. The build is

Weaversong

Grimmchild

Glowing Womb

Quick Focus

Grubsong

And Spore Shroom

Spore Shroom and Quick Focus can be replaced with other charms, but all other charms are required for the Companion Pack. Grubsong is required for additional Soul, and allows the Weavers to pick up extra soul as well. This is useful for the Glowing Womb charm, which takes soul constantly in P5.

With the Companion Pack your pets help you fight in the Pantheon. This allows you to mainly focus on dodging and healing while your pets deal damage.

However , enemies will snap out of staggers practically immediately due to the pets constant attacks. If an enemies staggers and you need to heal run as far from them as you can. This makes it so your pets can't attack as effectively while you heal.

The Companion Pack is least useful on these bosses

Uumuu

Radiance

Pure Vessel

Lost Kin

Galien

Markoth

Marmu

Nightmare King Grimm

The Soul Pack has these charms

All others are easy game with these fellows. This Pack is great if you mainly want to focus on healing and dodging while not worrying about having fo deal damage. Your pets will do that for you.

The Companion Pack took 1 hour and 57 minutes

Quick Slash

Soul Eater

Shaman Stone

Steady Body

Note that Steady Body can be replaced with any other 1 notch charm. Quick Slash can be replaced but I advise against it

The Soul Pack is the most powerful Pack. Shaman Stone increases spell damage, and Soul Eater allows you to pick up x2 the amount of Soul when striking an enemy. This combo is deadly. Combine that with Quick Slash and you can gain lots of Soul very very fast. While Quick Slash can be replaced from this Pack, I highly advise against that specifically for how quickly it helps you gain Soul.

The Soul Pack may be the most powerful, but it has some downsides. While you may be getting lots of Soul, you have no added health charms. Healing is definitely its weak spot, so be careful with getting hit and remember the best spots to heal while fighting.

Grey Prince Zote

The Collector

Failed Champoin

False Knight

It seems like a big list but don't worry!! It's still a very good charm Pack. Great for dealing tons of damage but bad for healing

The Soul Pack took 43 minutes to beat P5

The Healing Pack is next!

This Pack is for those who live in fear of death during the pantheon ! It's not super effective but it helps you get the job done by keeping you alive. These charms are

Fragile/Unbreakable Heart

Quick Focus

Shape of Unn

Grubsong

Dreamwielder

Lifeblood Heart

Dreamwielder can be replaced with any other one notch charm but all others are required.

This Pack gives you a shit ton of Health!! Add that on top of the unlockable Lifeblood seeds in the resting areas, and you have at least 19 hearts. Thats pretty good!! Shape of Unn let's you crawl around while healing, so you don't have to risk staying in one spot. Add Quick Focus on top of that, and you move/heal much faster. A must have for this charm pack

It's not effective for anything else, and you'll still need to deal damage to enemies but a health buff certainly helps you feel more confident in survival.

This Pack is least effective with

Nightmare King Grimm

Pure Vessel

Nosk

Grey Prince Zote

The Collector

Soul Tyrant

Obblobles

Nailmaster Sly

Hornet Protcter/Sentinel

Flukemarm

Again this is a health Pack, so effective for combat isn't that important. Staying alive is! And this is the Pack most suited for that very task.

The Health Pack took 1 hour and 21 minutes to beat P5

The Nail Pack is focused kn the strength of the Nail

This Pack has

Unbreakable/Fragile Strength

Mark of Pride

Nailmasters Glory

Quick Slash

Steady Body

This Pack is built to deal damage quickly and efficiently. Steady Body and Quick Slash is already a deadly combination, but with the added charms of Mark of Pride and Strength it adds more damage and longer reach. With Mark of Pride you don't have to get to close to your enemies, and Strength gives you a damage boost with the nail. Nailmasters Glory allows you to charge Nail abilities much faster so use that to your advantage

This Pack is least effective with

White Defender

Nosk

Xero

Gorb

Soul Tyrant

Obblobles

A rather short list! This build is incredibly efficient and easy for first time players of P5 to manage ! Although for first timers I'd still recommend the Health Pack and lots of practice.

The Nail Pack took 38 minutes to beat P5

And at last. The worst Pack ever.

The FEAR Pack.

This. Was the worst fucking thing I've ever dealt with and I don't know why I put myself through these things.

The FEAR Pack consists of

Fury of the Fallen

Grubberflys Elegy

Fragile/Unbreakable Strength

Sharp Shadow

Nailmasters Glory

This ungodly Pack gives you incredible strength at a horrific cost. You must alwasy be near death, and have to beat this pantheon almost flawlessly. Fury of the Fallen gives you strength when near death , and Grubberflys Elegy mixed with it sends sharp beams of pain to your enemies. Sharp Shadow let's you dash through enemies and deal damage at the same time, making it useful for this Pack. Nailmasters Glory can be replaced with any other one notch charm.

This Pack is designed to send you into an adrenaline rush, and panic if you get close to an enemy. If you're able to power through it and play it safe. Well. You still have the rest of P5.

One good thing is that if you make it to a safe room you can collect Lifeblood seeds . These let you keep the Fury of the Fallen statis without being on only one health.

This Pack is weak against

Troupe Master Grimm

Radiance

(Little Nightmares x Hollow Knight) Six defeats the Absolute Radiance/becomes the ShadeLady

I kept watching the different endings for Hollow Knight and thought how Monster Shadow Six would be a good replacement for the ShadeLord in the ‘Embrace the Void’ and ‘Delicate Flower’ endings.

So I drew Six defeating the Absolute Radiance and then transforming into a powerful entity of shadows known as the ShadeLady thanks to the power of the Shade Heart and the attunement in Godhome, ready to finish the Radiance off.

(In my crossover the Void Heart is called the Shade Heart instead)

Poem about the 4 major updates: Hidden Dreams, The Grimm Troupe, Lifeblood, and Godmaster. I had a lot more freedom with this one, so it was pretty fun to make! hi i was wondering, did you play through hollow knight? if you did, how did your first playthrough go? did you get lost? or get stuff out of order? if not, did you watch someone else play it?

oh yea! so early last year during college we were doing a group assignment in my animation course about making a game and everyone seemed to agree on making a metroidvania-type game, so i decided to play hollow knight to see what all the fuss was about! i don't remember my first playthrough too much now that i've done around 4, but what i DO remember is getting really stuck on traitor lord, mantis lords, hornet 2, soul warrior (for some reason) and watcher knights. i got so frustrated and i think i did get really lost but i had lots and lots of fun! enough for me to also buy it on switch, pick it back up about a month ago and 112% it yesterday HAHA (fuck pantheon of the knight)

I think... I might actually go back to the third pantheon soon... I actually don't remember why stopped trying except for the general knowledge that it's hard (because I'm a wimp and don't know what I'm doing), but I'm sure someone will bitchslap me enough times to remind me.
