Everyone seems to be act like Hot!Gilear (courtesy of @cloudmancy) is something unnatural, but wouldn’t it so perfectly sum up Gilear’s existence? Something good that slowly gives way and expires/decays over time? We see it with his yogurt. We see it with his life. Even Brennan’s realization when he figured out why people love Gilear, that he is expected to be this immortal refined elven being but the more we spend time with him the more we see how much his life kinda sucks. It’s beautifully poetic and infinitely hilarious.

Because Lou demanded it I present my humble (and very messy) sketch of “hot” Gilear - in which he’s about 50 years younger in college and being a badass activist. He’s getting a degree in poly sci.

I felt like he needed to look like an exhausted grad student because he looks exhausted in game but also adding some 80s-ness and a few dnd items (he keeps a dagger on him like everyone does but he hasn’t used it since high school gym class - and yes, weapons training was part of elven HS PE).

Right now he’s throwing down about some recent chaos in the government because some stupid wizard decided to rip a hole in space time or something. Seriously, this is terrible for the environment!

As a dad, well... he’s not gonna be super hot but he is getting to feel good and look good again :)

True. I made my post A) before I had all the facts and B) out of Jealousy because even in his current state of not hot Gilear managed to get Hallariel Seacaster. who could kill me and I would thank her. Like, even not hot Gilear apparently is like Catnip to Elven moms. This Also means though, that if Gilear ever WAS hot, he would have been too powerful. If Hallariel choses him like this, the power Hot!Gilear holds is unfathomable. I am terrified of that being. Brennan nerfed him for the sake of everyone’s collective sanity and libido.
