Found a pair of workout pants on sale for $4.
So, naturally, my daughter grabbed a pair of $35 pants for me because they were pretty and I deserve pretty things. 😂❤️

I got a new laptop today and good LORD I am so happy. I was using a refurbished $50 one that couldn't even run an external hard drive without crashing and would take like 5 mins to load a website. This one definitely isn't up to the standards of my one from college but heck it serves my purposes (AND HAS MICROSOFT OFFICE FOR A YEAR FOR ALL MY NICHE INTEREST SPREADSHEETS!)

Do I buy the a new laptop that I really need for my MA or do I buy Pokémon plushies? I think the choice is obvious.

Every time I see someone say "find a better way to cope" when referring to writing or reading fiction, I have to fight back the urge to start laughing hysterically.
Buddy, pal, dude, writing and reading fiction is the better way of coping.

Are you slowly going insane over your OWN ocs?
No, I've been infected by brainworms the entire time. Nothing slow about it.
But honestly, no... It's not really about my characters to me. I love my characters, of course, and I love telling stories, and I hope to keep making art of my characters every day until I die.
But it's not about them! They're not REALLY what I love, what I love is people! And I hope I can leave the world with a hundred different love letters so my readers can feel how much I love them for even one day longer than I am here.
My characters are a conduit through which I can give that to people. I want nothing more than to make someone feel a little more loved, a little more seen, and a little less alone. And my characters are the best way I know how to do that.
So for that, they're incredibly important to me... But they're not for me. They're for you!
So I hope you enjoy them
and I hope you can feel that I love you through them.

I want to know why Arby's markets itself as one of the best gluten-friendly fast food restaurants when they don't have a safe bread option. Yes, "we have the meats" rings true, but I'm not breaking into a steaming lump of fluffed beef and melted cheese in the parking lot.

my ex is talking about all these cute dates they're going on with this trans guy and how they're planning to kiss for the first time tonight and i just wish i had something like that with someone. if i had transitioned maybe i could've had a chance of being attractive to them... i only say that bc i reallyyyy struggle to believe i'll find my person. i feel so unattractive physically and personality wise :/ and i have no money to my name, and my apartment is constantly a mess. all the girls i was into turned out to be a jerk or rejected me. What Is It Going To Take!!!!!!

Old art, new format!
Made a paint by numbers for myself to keep track of which colour goes where because I know I would have messed it up otherwise.
Fun to see how this turns out.... I custom mixed the blues. I think 2 and 3 may end up being too similar, but it should still get the effect I wanted for the most part.

Poll adventure (paventure? lol) Day 4: read the small story tidbit below the poll for more details, OR just vote based on initial impression
(✦ see past poll results + further information HERE (link) ✦)
The winning option of yesterday's poll was that the adventurer should offer the Well Creature some bread and soup ….
"Completely unsure how to even begin to interact with the strange creature from the well, The Adventurer recalls reading in a book once that 'food is a universal language', or uh.. something like that.. thus, some hearty soup and bread would surely bridge any communication barriers... probably. He serves the little cannister of broth cold, straight from his bag just dumped into a wooden bowl, mostly because he's far too nervous to try and start a fire with someone watching.. hopefully they won't mind the food not being warmed..
After gently placing a single bread roll next to the soup, he steps back, gesturing towards the meal with an uncertain smile. The creature pauses, sniffs around, then promptly disappears back into the darkness. Just as The Adventurer begins to sulk over his apparent rejection, something stirs behind him... With a rush of creaking and plopping noises, the creature resurfaces, revealing it's massive serpent-like body as it hoists itself over the crumbled stone of the well's edge with it's many arms. It cracks open it's mighty jaw just far enough for a tiny blue tongue to slither out, then politely slurps at the soup, delicate enough not to spill any.
Stumbling backwards in shock, The Adventurer simply sits there staring the entire time whilst the creature happily (and rather quickly) enjoys their meal... Seemingly appreciative of his kind offerings, another strange slinking arm creeps up from the depths of the well, daintily opening a velvet sack with it's claws and laying out a small assortment of items onto the grass. Still a bit shaken, but also never one to turn down a free gift, The Adventurer senses that the creature intends for him to take any single item of his choosing... but, which one?"
