"Hmph." If the man was asking for Kaiba's opinion, he must be looking for a brutally honest one, as that's the only kind he ever gave. Very well then. He'd get what he asked for.
"First of all, I have played your game, not simply watched it. So don't accuse me of not knowing what I'm talking about. You should know how much I hate relying on luck, so a game designed around rolling dice to do anything doesn't appeal to me. I admit the 'dungeon path' concept is interesting, and there's more strategy to it than I expected, so it's not just aimlessly rolling dice and seeing who gets a Yahtzee first. Usually.
The game has balancing issues. I don't know if you did it to appeal to Yugi, but Dark Magician is significantly better than all other Level 4 summonings with all the special abilities it has-- remove Dark Magician or get rid of some of them. Strike Ninja is also ridiculous for being a Level 3, being able to avoid attacks and shoot across the entire board with very little effort, essentially guaranteeing a victory with enough movement and trap crests set up. Also, why is there a distinction between Magic and Trap crests when they both have the same function? Did you just need more symbols to put on the dice? Is it to balance certain monsters? I think you were just trying to rip off Duel Monsters.
Tech-wise, while I like the board design, it'd be a challenge to make the game portable like my Duel Disks. Of course, I could do it, if I thought the game was worth my time."
Ryuji wasn't exactly very sure what kind of answer he was looking for, but he did know which kind to expect, and that was exactly what he had received.
He listened, really listened, as Kaiba provided his insight, considering his every word.
Sure, Ryuji was not a big fan of receiving criticism. But that was mostly because he didn't hold other’s opinions in high regards. With a few exceptions of course. Exceptions that included Seto Kaiba.
That wasn't to say that Otogi was particularly fond of the brunette, if anything, he didn't have much to say about him as a person. However, his opinions, brutal as they may have been, were nothing short of helpful. And Ryuji wasn't one to pass up an opportunity to further improve his game.
Change was inevitable, so might as well do it right.

What the flamboyant male had not expected however, was the comment about the dungeon path concept being interesting. It gave him somewhat of an ego boost hearing the other say that, simply because he knew that if these words came out of Seto Kaiba, he almost certainly meant them. Good to know good to know.
As for the balancing issues, Ryuji had actually been considering nerfing the Dark Magician a tad. Kaiba had hit the spot right on. Yes, he’d done it to appeal to Yugi back in the day. And for the record, it did seem to work. But now that his game with Yugi was a thing of the past, the very very far past, it was about time to take its power down a notch, and make it a more fair piece. The same could be said about strike ninja, aside from the fact that he hadn't done that one to appeal to the young motou, but rather out of pure experimentation, and sort of left it as is due to lack of complaints. But now that Seto had pointed it out… he was going to consider nerfing it. Consider.

The one thing that had managed to bother Otogi though, was the comparison with Duel monsters. He’d heard that many times, and quickly grew sick of having his game be called a Rip-off of any kind.
That being said, Kaiba’s former guess was the right one. He was just doing it to jazz the dice up using as many symbols as he could get away with. After all, Ryuji believed style was important too. Plus he really liked all of the symbol designs, and couldn’t bring himself to change or discard any of them. So, that considered, he decided to ignore that part of the brunette’s reply. Into one ear and out the other.

The last portion of Kaiba’s response was something the black-haired male had actually never thought about. He was too used to playing board games, ones that were far from portable, that he’d completely let it slip past him that other folk would seek a more carriable version of his game.
Making Dungeon Dice Monster portable huh… that wasn't a bad idea. Not at all actually.
Wait. Did Kaiba just say he could do it…
The second part of that sentence kind of went over Ryuji’s head, as he kept the possibility of intriguing Kaiba Corp into helping with the portability of his game in mind. Hard as that may have seemed, Ryuji was more than willing to take on such a challenge.
Though the concept itself still needed some thinking…so the game-maker decided to remain quiet for the time being. Who knows? Maybe he could come up with an even better way to make the game portable all on his own.
Ryuji fiddled with his hair thoughtfully. This interaction with the tall male had left him with quite a lot of planning to do, huh? Well, no matter, it was worth it.
