And Steve will sigh and say it can’t be lost, shirts don’t just get up and walk out and Eddie will say this one did! all but harrumphing. So Steve will go in their room, look through the same pile of shirts Eddie looked through a moment ago, and come back out, holding it up, saying “this shirt?”

And Eddie will say it wasn’t there when he looked and they’re all black, it was camouflaged, and take the shirt half-annoyed, half-sheepish and murmur something about how there’s definitely a shirt stealing gremlin living in their walls that takes Eddie’s shirts then puts them back for Steve to find and make Eddie look like an idiot

And Steve will roll his eyes and try not to smile knowing it will happen again and again. And some days he finds it amusing, others annoying, but it’s all part of living together

Could you explain your position on Shallura? Since Allura was established as a teenager when she started dating Lance and Shiro was very clearly an adult. I can understand the bi shiro headcannon but the shallura thing worries me

i am going to remind yall that i have been in this fandom since 2016. and in the early seasons, allura was not established as a teenager. in fact she was coded as older, as closer to shiro's age -- there was a specific divide between her and the younger paladins that she did not have with shiro. they made her younger (both explicitly and in mannerisms) as the show went on. and i do not give a fuck about voltron like...post s4 and i didn't even watch s7-8. so like. especially with older fics, im going to enjoy shallura.

Much shorter post tonight because I have like 5 other essays about Akechi in the making. I often wonder what the connotations of him, as the black mask, having a helmet are, rather than just a normal mask - especially since it doesn't disappear or is removed even while summoning his persona. Personally, I always viewed it like this: his anger and hatred is there to protect him when everything else failed to. A helmet is meant for protection, and I think thats what I think this persona is for. Any vulnerability can be hidden and buried and crushed under all of that hate. Anger is easier and more efficient than sadness and self-pity. It's so much easier to lay the blame at the feet of the world then to ever admit you may be the problem, or, in Akechi's case, lay all of your problems at the feet of one man and convince yourself that dealing with him will remove all your issues. I also like the idea of him not being able to remove it - his anger is such an embedded part of him that there is no taking it from him. There is no Akechi without that hatred and spite. So back in October I went to käärijä Berlin gig giving out some Bojere stickers I made. Five of those went to Mikke (another story but I had sort of promised to give him some xD).

This was however also the same gig where Salena joined Jere on stage. I didnt meet her in person but had a blast seeing her perform with the boy 🥹💚

Fast forward three months later (here's to me feeling old 🫠) and Salena had an IG live performance yesterday. One friend in that live (hi Niini :3) noticed others speaking about a sticker and got curious: lo and behold Salena had decorated her laptop with the exact sticker I had given people at the Berlin gig 😳😱

My theory is that Mikke must have given one of his five stickers to Salena as a thank you for her coming. And now I have to live with the blessed knowledge that Salena has Bojere art I made on her laptop 😭

i've always assumed elio to be an omen vanguard of terminus the aeon of finality. since he has blessing/curse of seeing the future unlike finality followers i believed he might be our first finality emenator BUT! emenators could follow a different path, it's so interesting to think he could be a finality emenator but an order follower, and it makes sense! who would greatly seek to stop nanook and restore balance? well hooh too but ena would very much dedicate themselves in stopping nanook. now ena is debatably dead but paths don't disappear. but keep in mind we actually don't know which aeon gives the stellaron hunters powers.

I don't want to put this in the tags, since people are just having fun, but I figure you probably won't mind hearing my anon-complaints. I'm getting super annoyed by the recent influx of Jiang Chang related SVSSS crossover posts (and fics to a lesser extent).

Seeing JC interact with the PIDW world could be incredibly interesting, but the posts I keep spotting are all about the woobiefied fanon version of JC. JC and YQY are not all that much alike (JC isn't remotely loyal to WWX), and I don't think he'd get along well with LQG. The JC and SJ dynamic actually does seem like it would be fun to read, but with how toxic they both are it would be 'fun' more in the 'watching a car crash in slow motion' sort of way, rather then anything wholesome.

Anyway, mini-rant over!

No no, I agree. Rhysand makes a point of degrading Feyre as often as he can in public and then masks it as empowerment by offering it to her as a coercive "choice." It reminds me of Gaston's choices in Beauty and the Beast--marry me or you father is institutionalized in Gaston's case and play my whore or be locked in this house, an action that just traumatized you and gave you a panic attack :) in Rhysand's case

It's yet another example of how his ACOSF behavior isn't ooc, it's simply the logical progression of his character arc

How exactly did you make your alien language? I wanna try making a language for something I'm making but I don't really know how to start

This is in the same style as the alien one! I was able to do this in a few hours but if I were to work on it more I'd definitely change some of the symbols because of how chunky and overly complicated they are! The R being one of the specific ones I'd redo! You gotta write in it a bit to make sure all the symbols fit pretty good! You could also make symbols for pronouns! I've been wanting to update my alien one and add pronouns but I've been lazy fjjeksjs I also wanted to change the structure of sentences to resemble how sentences are signed in ASL but I was never good at that so I've been putting that off too! You can make languages as complicated or as simple as you want! And really, the symbols don't have to have a theme or pattern if you don't want them to! They just usually fit together better when they're similar!

Having feelings about how in the Reverse!Robins AU, Jason & Steph were both Damian’s personal apprentices who he lavished attention on & adored, and they both ended up with variants of his fighting style. Damian dual-wields weighted daggers, often using the flat of the blade as a blunt weapon while keeping the edge as a threat; I gave Jason escrima sticks, while Steph dual-wields sickle-swords with the sharp edge on the inner curve and the back of the blade reinforced. (They also both use knuckledusters & are not above throwing a sucker-punch in there to catch someone off-guard, but that is Jason directly trying to emulate his hero: taking up knuckledusters because that's what Steph's Shadow always used.) (Yeah, that's right, Steph didn't start primarily dual-wielding until after she started training with the LoA. Guns are good, very satisfying kick to them, and she recognizes their practicality. If someone gets within arm's reach, though, or if she's "playing fair" for some reason, she goes for her swords.)

But Tim. Tim still used his bo staff. Because he was never meant to be Shadow he was Cass’s apprentice first & foremost, and her range of skills allowed them to find the weapon best suited to his nature (also, the reach on the staff gives Tim a split-second more reaction time than the closer-ranged members of the family, something he would definitely need stepping into Duke & Cass’s shoes.) But after Steph’s death, Cass refused to keep putting Tim’s life at risk; when Damian heard Tim had stolen Steph’s mantle and demanded to personally train Tim, Damian’s actual goal was to drive Tim out before he got himself killed. And when Damian realized how cruel he’d been, he could barely look Tim in the eye, let alone spar with Tim. (Damian never taught Tim a fucking thing outside of raising his pain tolerance. It was honestly, genuinely abusive and Damian will spend the rest of his life trying to make up for what he did to Tim as well as what Damian failed to do for Steph.)

Jason was always Steph’s true successor. Tim just kept the mantle warm for him.
