P5R SPOILERS UNDER THE READ MORE!

i answered my opinions of the third tiers in the last ask, so let’s talk about the other stuff!! i thought the thieves’ den was a super adorable add-on - its best feature is the fact that we get to see character interactions between all the confidants and all the opinions they have on different objects/places. it really gives you a good incentive to collect everything in it if you like the characters and want a little extra additional content about them. plus, it allows them to voice their opinions on SO many things the game originally left out because it wasn’t necessary to the plot - since akira is my fave, i always sort of…didn’t like that the thieves never really thank him for all the work he does or the fact that the interrogation is all but brushed off. in the thieves’ den we at least get to see them acknowledging his hard work, how much effort he puts into the thieves, and how grateful they are for putting himself in harm’s way for them (ALSO…love the bar dialogue between ann, yusuke, and sumire, where sumire asks if akira does anything illegal for the thieves and the other two are like NO HE WOULD NEVER…probably). also i just like being able to see the other members of the team interact and see their dynamics without akira - futaba, yusuke, and sumire roleplaying at the bar was so cute (apparently my fave interactions are at the crossroads diorama lol)! finally, i love the reward system it has, since it allows for the actual platinum trophy of the game to be relatively easy to obtain while keeping a good bar of difficulty for completionists that want to play the game several times (the only one i kind of don’t like is the date everyone trophy…i think you could get it by saving before entering a romantic relationship, but i think for it to count you need to see their rank 10, which seems tedious if you don’t want to do the harem route :\) also like…they let me make it look like qliphoth and put the holy grail + yaldabaoth in it SO YEA I’M A FAN.

the showtimes were SO cute!! i love that they add a big dose of over-the-top silliness that i think the thieves would all revel in. the ones i saw the most were ryuji’s, ann’s, and akira + goro since that was my team (also morgana, since i used him for yaldabaoth’s dungeon), and they were all so fitting for the characters. i really like ryuji and yusuke’s tbh, because i think it shows a real friendliness between them and that they appreciate each other in a way the game in general doesn’t really show us, so i loved that. also it’s obvious but i do love akira and goro’s, it suits them so well since i view BOTH of them as entirely feral in battle/in the metaverse, but they have that ridiculously broody environment because they’re both huge emos too lmao i do sort of wish that akira got showtimes with everyone tho, and that goro and sumire got a showtime with another character. at the very least…i gotta say giving akira one of his showtimes with sumire makes sense for her but not so much for him, it should have been morgana imo like. morgana lives with him, is his mentor and magician arcana, is his constant companion that goes on to live with him at the end of the game, is the hope created to guide him against an evil god…i just think it makes so much sense for the two of them, but i also do get that sumire didn’t have other choices. EVEN STILL THO it would have been nice to see her getting to interact more with the other thieves and not have her just be connected through akira for the most part. i guess that was sort of to push the “royal trio” thing, but that also felt weird since goro and sumire may know each other, but they’re just friendly acquaintances and things never really develop for them beyond that. oh like!! a showtime with those two would have been great! and then at the very least they all would have had two and it would have made the royal trio thing a little more connected and make more sense rather than two of the characters in the group really only having a meaningful connection to akira. BUT THAT’S ALL NITPICKY, i enjoy the showtimes overall, they’re all pretty cute and it adds the silliness the game really needs.

1. Idk why but I'm suspicious of anonymous...

I mean if they were really supporting the black lives matter protest, why would they also post Trump exposé court documents of him being a pedophile. Like.. why draw attention away from the issue? Why don't they hack media outlets to actually show the injustices carried out by the police?

2. Black twitter is a better way to stay informed than popular media and it shows

Popular news outlets like cnn are showing biased news coverage. No one is reporting police officers actually being the ones turning the protests violent.

3. Non-black Latinx community is making this about themselves smh

There are a lot of non black latinx speaking up on racism and their experiences. While that's good and something that needs to be addressed, especially racism within latinx culture ... i do think this is kinda taking attention away from the blm movement right now. They're making it seem like its about them.

4. I already KNOW the government is going to weaponize white guilt to disrupt the protest information and communication online

It's my theory behind the blackout tuesday posts. While yeah i guess you do that to amplify the voices of black people, i do think tagging it with the BLM hashtag was a way to silence information and communication from protests. Like white guilt is at an all time high. You could tell white people to post ice bucket challenges for black lives matter and they'll not even question it. It's so obvious to see that white guilt, expressed through performative activism (posting stuff online) is something so manipulatable.

5. If anyone Epstein's black book posted by anonymous will be cancelled i already know it's going to be Naomi Campbell

Like who are we kidding no one is going to cancel trump or anyone of his rich powerful friends, cancel culture doesn't work and especially not with white men unfortunately. Like idk how the p**phile tekashi69 is still famous... "Cancel culture" will usually affect women. Naomi and the royals been real quiet tho lately.

6. White people are surprised by colonialism?

Colonialism doesn't have "Erinnerungskultur" surrounding it, because it was never truly addressed and condemned idk. Like the holocaust is surrounded by erinnerungskultur in Germany because the uk and the us had to de-nazify the citizens through education and teaching guilt. But colonialism on the other hand was never truly addressed by european countries (including germany ofc), so no one really sat white people down and made them learn about the horrors they are responsible for.

Like look at the way it is taught in history classes. They say things like "scramble for africa" as if an entire continent with many different people from different cultures and religions is a commodity free for them to take and exploit.

Same goes for north and south america. Like no you didn't "stay because the nature and the women were so beautiful and exotic", ppl went there to benefit from the power dynamic in order exploit people and ressources.

White people's wealth and standard of living is built on the exploitation of africa, america, oceania, asia, greenland, etc. Why are you so surprised that the continued abuse/discrimination is still happening? (Especially if it's continuously being romanticized in your culture and traditions) Why are you surprised about generational trauma? Why don't you believe people of color and especially black people when they say they face more difficulties due to racism, when the system they live in, based on oppression, denies them the same opportunities and ressources?

Like I'm tired of the local "wokey-dokey" liberal white boi who is the definition of white (rich) privilege posting political cartoons about the looting of africa. Check your goddamn self ?!?!! Cool if you've already recognized that, but evaluate the shit that comes out of your mouth and how you treat poc.
