Announcing… the surprise that arrived today day! IT IS A CUSTOM SARA ERIKSSON PLUSH DOLL. This was a very belated birthday present (my birthday was in early January, but Sara needed to be made and you can’t rush perfection) from my live-in bestie @coruscantrhapsody​. I can’t describe how much it means to me that she got me a plushie of one of my favorite fictional characters not just one of my favorite Young Royals characters, but one of my favorite characters of all time.

Also… what’s happening… is this…

TWINS?!?

For some reason they sent us two Saras? TWO ADORABLE SARAS. Now she can have internal conflict and argue with herself!

(I mean, I’m not sure whether I’ll keep them both yet or send the second to a good home with another fan, but I guess we’ll see?)

And yes, I did purchase a tube full of small toy horses to be Sara’s Breyer collection. They’ll have to share.

I’m so happy. Help these plushies are so cute.

today I was with a few friend and everyone was just fooling around and having fun swimming

And he went to tickle my tummy bc I was floating next to him

but he remembered that I don’t usually like tummy tickles and he stopped and was like “you don’t like those, do you?”

and it meant so much to me, not only that he remembered, but that he took the time to check and make sure it was okay, and that just meant the world

It’s always struck me as weird that NPMD ends with homecoming and not prom, because as a non-American, isn’t prom the quintessential American high school end trope thing??

Because of this I looked up what the actual difference is and holy shit homecoming takes place at the end of the first semester of the school year????? (Correction: turns out it’s actually around September/October which is roughly the end of the FIRST TERM)

fionna's world being represented by a dandelion makes so much sense ... they're weeds. yet people make wishes through them, changing their whole meaning from something meant to be destroyed to something hopeful.

dandelions are also resilient and it makes sense that something associated with them would. you know. perservere despite the destruction caused by the scarab.

but ultimately i think what REALLY made me tear up over this is that dandelions are really boring plants. when you're a kid you blow on them and make your wish but they're not eyecatching or anything but still, fionna's final wish was for her old world to still exist as it was when she left it (> plain and simple. boring even).

like the moment she realized she would lose her friends, and that her friends might forget each other if the world got its magic back, she immediately decided she didn't want it and I think that ties back to the dandelion metaphor so well... like, do you really need magic to be real to find it everywhere? or can you turn something boring into something magical?

False, a knight famous for her ability to slay magical beings, was sent by her king to defeat the greatest threat of all - the fae. Here, she enters the faerie realm and is greeted by none other than the queen herself, waiting upon her forest throne.

Having grown up on tales of the fae and their evil trickery, False is surprised by how beautiful and kind the queen is, but isn’t going to let down her guard yet.

Queen Stress is rather impressed by this mortal who not only managed to find her way into the faerie realm, but is also brave (and foolish) enough to try and fight her! She has no intention of hurting False, and instead wants to teach her the mischievous ways of the fairies, get her to lighten up a bit and all that. And, well, if she tries to court the handsome knight along the way, who can blame her?
