I know we say it a lot but jfc Dean is so fucking smart and this stupid ass show his him zero credit for it.

In 5x02 he hears about a contaminated river and a shooting star and immediately knows which part of the Bible to look (which he probably remembers from s4 when Bobby made him read up on angels). And once the priest confirms those omens are about the horsemen, Dean remembers the red car and makes the connection to the red horse bc he deduces surely the horsemen would have updated to new technology.

Meanwhile, Sam "the smart one" had to literally watch War use his ring in front of him and then have him spell it out for him to figure out who he was lol

And???

It just makes me so mad bc Dean is so fucking smart, and not him nor the people around him nor the fucking show ever acknowledges it!!

i read and this your living kiss by opal_bullets on ao3 the other day (multiple weeks ago) and i cannot stop thinking about it. i think about it everyday. i've written so much about it. i've reread pieces of it, taking it in at a slower pace. but- man, oh, man- i cannot stop thinking about it. it's literally consuming my every thought. i do something like stir the creamer into my coffee or play my eric clapton record and i think whether or not jack allen would like the peppermint flavor of my creamer or if he would like the songs i do on this album. its a constant debate in my head about whether or not jack allen would like/do what i do. i have also decided to get back into poetry. shitty poems at midnight and all of the sudden i think i could have a secret career in writing and be a mechanic as my day job.

The fact that Dean has his GED is so comforting to me and makes me feel so much less shame about getting mine. Like I couldn't complete highschool and had to drop out my Sophomore year for a number of reasons and I am just starting the process of getting my GED so knowing that one of my favorite characters also has a GED is so awesome. Like, I've felt so much shame about not having the 'normal' education and feeling like a failure because of it.
