I can't believe how mixed-up the fandom (and the LOK writers) get Katara and Zuko's characters.

I want to make this clear, just because she grew up during the war, doesn't mean Katara was forced to fight. I honestly don't know where people get this from. Her cultural norms very blatantly dictate for her not to. It was something she vehemently struggled against to be able to do. It was always her initiative and choice to fight because that's who Katara is; a warrior.

Hell, she's even reveled in dominating her opponents and showing off her skills in battle

But you know who was forced to fight? You know whose skewed concepts of honor dictated him to fight? You know whose society urged him towards participating in war? You know who was the most at-ease and relaxed working peacefully in his uncle's tea shop?

The entire concept of Zuko's character is that he doesn't easily thrive as a warrior and doesn't enjoy fighting if he can avoid it. One of the key things he learns post-redemption is that fire isn't just a force of destruction, it's also life and passion. And that's what allows him to be a better firebender later.

So it makes no sense that Katara gave up on fighting before Zuko. And don't misunderstand, both of them should have been still relatively active (because Zuko is a warrior too and the point of this post is not to claim he isn't). But between the two of them, Zuko would have been the one to embrace peace and retire

Naturally, Mic isn't shy about telling stories about himself, Eraserhead, Midnight and Ingentium. He is an invited guest on absolutely every show, and on his show he chats about them.

In fact, Tenko only found out who Eraserhead was because he was a nerd and radio was a thing for nerds.

The canon fits perfectly here (????). That only Izuku recognized Eraserhead on the first day of school. Izuku is OBVIOUSLY a nerd, so it wasn't difficult for him to relate what he sees to Mic's eternal descriptions of ERASERHEAD in his show. He's a smart guy and has devoted literally his whole life to this kind of stuff.

(But Jirou is not. Therefore, even taking into attention the fact that she is also a fan of Mic and listened to every one of his shows, she was not able to collect these details and identify the Aizawa's hero)

hello, since I'm officially done with the post office I've been working on for the past three months (wasn't that difficult, I'm just lazy) it's time to share it with the internet!!

I based it on the original sylvanian post office from 1992. the building was made from my old math notebooks because I'm spiteful. the furniture and the windows are made out of popsicle sticks.

for anyone wondering - this post office has a small stationary and snacks corner because EVERY post office should have one. there are little cans of nuts (acorns and chestnuts), chocolate bars, cookies, paper, envelopes, newspapers and books.

the "painting" is a real stamp :)) I love all the little packages and letters, it's my favorite part of the entire post office!!

can we talk about Jenny Brightfield tho? (the baby) she's so cute and tiny and I would die for her. sadly, my mommy Brightfield came with a dark stain on her hand that doesn't come off:(( well, I guess we can call it a beauty mark?

First thing first, it’s not!!!!! I love your questions it’s just I had some hard time coming up with answers, it’s never your fault don’t say that :’) !!!!!!

I’ll do my best to answer some of your questions, please take all of these with a giant cart of salt I don’t know anything

Do I study art? Yes, I’m currently in college studying animation. Is it worth it? Depends, most of the stuff they teach you can learn online for free, companies don’t really look at their education level when hiring an artist they focus more on the person’s portfolio, if you can get the job done then they would hire you👍 most people here are to build connections and have a environment and peers to motivate themselves to study.

For the second question, how do I balance art and life? The answer is no I don’t :’) the problem with turning your hobby into work is that you don’t get a hobby anymore, I draw for school then I draw for myself it’s all I do I draw, non stop… I’m trying to get into new hobby lately so I don’t burn my passion away it’s a bit hard but it’s going

Third question is it an alright source of income? I don’t have an answer for it yet since I’m still in school, but from what I heard it really depends. Animation jobs are gig based, it’s not a stable career you’ll be running around finding new jobs every few months. Most artists I know have a side job that they can lean onto when they’re in the middle of job hunting, either an Etsy shop or commissions. The pay depends on the studio you’re working for, if it’s a big company then they can pay you okay, it’s a big company at least they have policies and regulations. if it’s small production then it’s hard to say, many are too much work for too little pay.

The animation and gaming industry are not doing well either, so many experienced people are getting laid off lately leaving little chances for newbies it’s a burning dumpster of a industry and don’t even get me started with ai art … I don’t want to sound negative and kills someone’s hopes and dreams but it’s really not the best place to be at the moment, I don’t even know if I want to do animation in the future it’s kinda frustrating

I’ll leave the final decision to you ofc, I’m not saying don’t study art, just that you need to think this through, there are positives like you’re gonna learn so much new stuff to better your work, and you can do something you enjoy as a job, it’s so much better than spending your life doing something you don’t like. But there’re also negatives like it might kill your passion and a job is hard to find
