What I ship in Fairy Tail

This is a great question! Thank you for asking, Anon!

To be honest, there aren't many.

I'll rehash some of the ships I support that I've mentioned already in case you haven't seen those posts (which I went more in depth here) as well as give some more! I'll also tell you which ones I don't and why.

These are the main ones I like:

Natsu x Lucy

I've said so in other posts, but I do still like NaLu, though it really needs work, from Natsu being less handsy (though most of it's an accident) and for him to mature some and actually show romantic interest in Lucy. Rn, I'm seeing Lucy having to be the one to carry the ship with her budding feelings, but Natsu is mostly oblivious and treats her basically just like a best friend. Mashima should really, if he wants this ship to sail, do these things for Natsu. I only ship Natsu with Lucy.

Jellal x Erza

I said this in another post, yes, I ship this, I really like the childhood sweethearts dynamic, and I think, at least in the main FT storyline (I'm hearing Jellal acts more like juvia in 100yq and that's just barf), it's very healthy and charming because they both try to do what's best for the other and try to better and help them. I only ship Jellal and Erza with each other and in no other ship.

Gray x Lucy

My FT OTP!! Had a whole post dedicated to my reasons! Linked here. I only ship Gray with Lucy OF FRIGGIN COURSE (#protectgray2k22).

Loke/Leo x Lucy

I love this one! Their little arc together, and their fun moments like in the Loke arc or the Fantasia arc or whenever Lucy summons Leo are so cute! Leo’s such a gentleman to her and protects her well, and she doesn’t make it easy for him when he flirts but is still flustered sometimes, which I love. They’re best friends and partners and definitely have chemistry. I only ship Leo with Lucy of course.

Other Ships?

To be honest, that's basically it for me. I'm not really passionate about other ships in FT. I know I ship Lucy with a lot of people, but it's to be expected from a multi-shipper haha. I'll get into the ones I don't like, the ones I'm indifferent to, and the ones I like, but just don't really care about.

Of the rest of the Big Four, I've already said why I'm not a big fan of Gajevy (but I don't ship either of them with anyone else), and y'all KNOW my stance on gr///via (juvia deserves to stay by herself forever :D).

As for Zervis, I don't like Mavis, (sorry, Mavis lovers, I just find her annoying, especially in Fairy Tail Zero) and Idk what to think about Zeref, mainly because I don't see him often, especially since I didn't finish FT, but from what I saw of him, in Tenrou, Zero, and some in Tartaros, he wasn't particularly likable, but not hate-worthy either.

As for Miraxus, I'm not opposed to it. I didn't see many interactions between them tbh, but I could see it being really cute, the sweet (and yet potentially scary) Mirajane and big, gruff Laxus who (eventually) has a heart of gold.

Stingyu, I'm not the biggest fan of Sting, I like him enough, and I'm not really a fan of Yukino either, not because I don't like her, I just found her pretty boring. I don't mind that ship I guess, I just don't ship it personally.

Now onto ships you didn’t give as an example, Anon:

A dear friend of mine mentioned that their OTP for FT used to be StingLu, which I am totally down for, but I haven’t seen many interactions between them. I could see it being a very cute ship though! They’ve got matching hair too haha.

I could see why people like Laxus x Freid, but Freid acts a bit too fanboy for me to ship them (reminds me of juvia too much), though I really liked his loyalty and respect (along with the rest of the Thunder Legion) to Laxus.

Elfman x Evergreen (lol what's their ship name, Elfgreen? Everman?) is ok, I found it pretty cute how they were at odds and then became fond of each other.

Alzack x Bisca, I mean sure, I ship it, I just don't really care about it. Very cute couple, but they’re just background characters haha.

Lyon x juvia, yeaaaah like I said, juvia shouldn’t be inflicted on anybody, so I’d never do Lyon dirty like that.

Ren x Sherry, I don’t really like this ship. A fun fact (not really) about me is that I don’t like it when people who love someone in a show or whatever move on from that love interest to a new one. It just makes it seem so disingenuous to me, like the love was never real. I know irl, this happens a lot, and it doesn’t really discredit their past feelings to move on, but this is a personal preference of mine for fiction. So, I don’t like how Sherry moves on from Lyon to Ren.

Sherria x Wendy, nah don’t like this, I personally don’t like the idea of shipping a 12 and 15 year old together because they’re both really young. I guess it’s fine if you do, since there’s not a big age gap, but nah I’m good.

Happy x Carla, eh, don’t really like this ship, but it’s not too bad I guess. He’s kinda too pushy, and she’s kinda too mean, but overtime they warm up to each other more, like over the Edolas arc for example, so it’s not the worst.

I've already said in other posts that I don't ship Gratsu, and I definitely don't ship NaLi; I just find Lisanna a tad too annoying, and her kid self was waaay too pushy.

Reminder: basically, any ship that involves Natsu, Gray, Lucy, Jellal, and Erza besides the ones I've mentioned is a no-go for me. When I multi-ship one character from a particular anime, I don't multiship for any other character in that anime except for my favorite, so any ships you see listed are the only people I would ship them with.

I don’t really remember other extremely popular ships at this moment, but if anyone thinks of them and mentions them, I’ll give my thoughts!

Closing Notes

I know I don't have many ships, especially outside my multi-ship of Lucy, but really, if you look at other animes that I watch, my multi-shipping habit is even more outta control, so Fairy Tail actually has a bit of variety for me haha. Keeping Up A-fear-ance's Thoughts

I finished writing this shortly after 3 am after watching the new episode like three times because I simply had too much energy about it and I have so many thoughts because I simply live for clawthornes and also I tried to break it up with more photos this time sorry not sorry if it's a lot ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

YOUNG EDA!! let me just say I am quite a fan of opening with a flashback like we've done here and the last episode

anyways we've only really seen young Eda as a wild and confident and happy little child so I appreciate seeing this side of her with the anxiety and fear she's feeling here. I love seeing what the curse stuff was like for her as a kid

Gwen: I raised a perfectly fine kid

Me: no you didn't look at her she's got anxiety

I'm guessing this is their backyard or just some woods behind their house?? wonder if the portal was placed there by another elder family member.

lmao I can't even begin to imagine what small Eda experiencing the human realm was like for the first time

Gwens giving me "I can't accept that my child is disabled/chronically ill/etc." here. y’know the kinda parent that'll put their kid through hell over something they probably will find a way to learn to live with (which Eda did do)

ok Gwen is very much not close to what I expected and I'm kinda grateful for that

she's more like super caring but still managed to royally fuck up which was my original head canon for clawthorne parents so uh that's cool. but literally, look at their body language, Eda's pissed, Lilith's sad and making herself small. she's clearly messed up with her parenting on both of them along the way.

"who knows what they put in those nasty concoctions?" mama clawthorne would be a fucking anti-vaxxer wouldn't she

ok I side with Eda here more than Luz and Lilith. just because Luz misses her mother, or Lilith hasn’t seen their mom in so long doesn’t mean Eda has to feel all grateful for the presence of Gwen, especially if the woman has caused her a lot of trouble over the years

I feel like the fact that its actually both Lilith and Gwendolyn have spent their whole lives dedicated to trying to find a cure could probably have held some kind of weight on Eda at some point. Even though she shouldn't feel guilty or responsible for that, I still feel like it's gotta suck knowing these people have spent so much time on something you know is likely never gonna happen, all for you.

So honest question here. Because it’s literally mind boggling me I see a lot of anti- destiel people (not all are w*nchest shippers) say again and again Destiel fans are annoying/disgusting/vile/toxic/solely responsible for tearing the fandom apart/insert your favorite adjective here.

And like I don’t see that? Like most of the destiel fans I see lately are just here to have a good time, and talk about something they love w other fans. I mean I know back in the day there was a lot of issues at cons and stuff. But from my observations it seemed like the cast became more accepting of the ship. Like idk I guess I just don’t get why those who ship destiel are constantly being attacked as *insert insult here* when there’s a whole subset of this fandom that send literal death threats, campaign to get people fired bc they didn’t like them, planned assaults on cast. Like it wasn’t the destiel crowd that behaved in abhorrent ways. So why is destiel being constantly called toxic and vile?

anon you got it spot on, i dont understand why anyone would dedicate their blog to something they hate, surely that doesn't have any fun in it. i feel as if its wasted energy, like instead of that you could be using that time and energy to talk about the things you actually do love.

regardless i'm pretty used to getting hate on a daily basis (literally not a day goes by with me getting less than 2 anon hates from a w*ncestie or a bibro) for simply talking about the fact i love misha/cas/destiel/dean.

i always try my absolute best to turn this "hate" to something comedic and/or positive at the very least, because lets be honest: i'm here for shits and giggles + sharing my artwork/writing/gifs/edits not throttling some kid who doesnt understand the immorality of shipping inc*st.

and a lot of the cast issues were exaggerated by antis, there are always disrespectful fans, as someone who's been to plenty of conventions (many not spn related) i assure you there are rude and invasive people in every corner of the world, so i dont get why anyone would pin that all on just destiel shippers other than just the intent of hate.

as you said, there are people out there sending death threats, doxxing actors, spreading pure unfiltered hate yet somehow "hellers" are the "problem" in this fandom... damn we really out here talking about love for 2 characters' love for eachother.. not hate...

might i remind everyone that misha collins had literally been sent death threats, mocked publically, constantly gets body shamed or told he's ugly or whatever by the same fans that call "hellers" problematic... they justify it by saying he's rich (despite also bullying him for being "poor" and having "no other jobs") and he wont see it (which even though that may be true, there are still fans with the same physique as him or appearance that can very easily take offence from you body shaming someone who looks like them)

A Response to Hate + Wisdom, I Suggest Everyone Reads.

This is a pretty long post replying to some hate I got from a recent post I made about Mirajane Strauss and Laxus Dreyar, I linked it at the bottom of this if you would like to read it. I think everyone should read this post not only because its some piping hot tea, but there’s also a lot of other things I talk about in this that I feel like everyone should hear. Totally understand if you don’t want to read it though. Let me know what you think!

First here is what they/you said (in order):

Hi I just liked to start with I blocked you from send me anymore ask, but I’m letting you know if you change devices you can still ask me things or messages, if you DM (off anon) ill take your request seriously, but since you’re on anon I’m not gonna take you seriously, sorry. Especially after you were actually mean to me when I did nothing wrong, which is why I’m making this post even though I’d normally ignore it.

Lets start with the general Miraxus stuff, that post WAS NOT hate. You have to be delusional and overly obsessed to believe that was a hate post, or that I was spreading “false information.” In the post I literally said they had good development and linked a master list of ALL their interactions. The entire post was about how even though I don’t ACTIVELY ship them (meaning they are cute and I agree they would be a good couple, but I just don’t get that feeling where I’m like “oh okay yes them” and I feel the need to stalk them, ((not everyone hates what threatens their ships)), and I’m not denying they are very cute, and have a lot of cute art and moments, it just doesn’t hype me up the same way other ships do.) So, this post was pro-miraxus, I’m literally saying they honestly deserved to become canon/canon-ish like a lot of the other ships did, so it was not “cross tagged” the post was about mira and laxus and thats what I tagged it, if you are talking about the part where i tagged “#I feel sorry for anyone who ships miraxus” that is literally me validating anyone hurt over the ending. Again, I’m not following the Miraxus tag or any account solely dedicated to that ship so I didn’t even know he drew a kid or them, that’s super cool, good for you. I wasn’t being “biased” because I’m not neck deep in any ship for Laxus or Mira, yes i think CanaJane is cute but I know its very unrealistic, this is why I was able to form this opinion that they deserved better. The post was about how Mashima baited Miraxus the entire series, then said “Never!!!!” even if it was Lucy’s inner thoughts, Mashima knew what he was doing. I was saying, “wow that probably sucked if you really liked them! I’m sorry!” If you believe my post was to degrade Mira x Laxus and hype Cana x Mira, then you need to take a step back and re-evaluate yourself, I understand you are probably like 13-14 but that’s still not okay to attack people because they don’t agree with you, and if you are older that 13 or 14 that’s just embarrassing. I also believe that Freed x Laxus deserved a better ending and I also don’t actively ship that either, Freed spent the whole series wanting to protect and be by the side of Laxus and they had no interaction in the finale.

Next, lets go to the part about you saying I’m a “slash fetishizer shipper” (also i literally had to look up what this meant) I can only assume you canajane because i said they “hit different” right? Let me just re insert what you said to make sure I reply correctly

Yes I think Cana and Mira are very attractive, and I think they are hot together too. Hi i’m into girls. I am the woke points. I agree people make lgbt people into a fetish and don’t actually respect them, but that’s mostly males thinking lesbians are hot while being gross out by gay men, I may be naive but you don’t often see that on anime tumblr where half the people are gay anyway, not to mention most are female. This next part may be controversial I’m not sure, but people don’t need a reason to ship characters and no one can tell them who they can and can’t ship (this does not apply to shipping a child with an adult), so you can’t say only gay people can ship to people of the same gender, sorry that’s not how it works, i understand you’re trying to get those “woke points” but you just look like a fool. But then next you said this:

Actual author content? Oh you mean like the post I linked that showed EVERY SINGLE interaction/moment/hints that Miraxus had? Like I said, they had good development, and my post was about how the AUTHOR should’ve given them a better ending. I’d just like to add there are many moments that the AUTHOR wrote between Cana and Mira that made me ship them, if the AUTHOR never wrote anything to where they interacted, I wouldn’t ship them? This post is not about that though so I’m not gonna go anymore into them.

“false information” girl what? where? I’m genuinely curious, I used screenshots of the manga to present to idea that Miraxus deserved better and that’s all I talked about so I’m confused what you been by this:

So I can tell you took the one line where i said I like CanaJane more than Miraxus and in your mind twisted my entire PRO-miraxus argument into and anti post, this kind of behavior is toxic, and “its not a good look sir”

Let also clarify something, cross tagging is posting about something and tagging things completely unrelated, this post was about mira and laxus and thats what it was tagged about. Cross tagging is often used in shipping wars, but my post was pro-miraxus so it makes no sense for you to repeatedly say I was cross tagging and that’s why you were mad, it’s very clear you were just mad because I said I shipped CanaJane and that clouded your judgement when reading everything else. If you wanna see real cross tagging look up any naruto ship and scroll for about 3 seconds. So, no I won’t be removing the tags because that makes no sense, but if it’s important enough for you to message me off anon then we’ll talk.

My final section of this response is how hypocritical you were. Like with he part, “I don’t hate you” To quote tiktok and nicki minaj, “don’t be tryna double back, I already despise you”

As you can see you repeatedly said I was mean, but no where in my post did I say anything like “Mira x Laxus is gross, its toxic, its dumb, its...idk...forced!”, i literally never said anything like that because like I’ve said in this post and in that one, they’re cute and they had good development. You were the mean one in your response telling me i had “no reading skills whatsoever”, that i had a “lack of respect”, said I’m “more than pitiful” and this isn’t mentioning all of your back handed pettiness throughout every single message you sent, you think you “look cool” but “hun”...”sweetie”...you just look dumb, but at least you are on anon!

Educate myself? girl this isn’t politics, you’re pressed over a post saying your ship deserved better than it got??? What am I supposed to do watch the anime, read the manga, well good thing I did. GUESS WHAT THEY HAD GOOD DEVELOPMENT i can see why you ship them.

The only rude person here is you, you came into my asks and attacked me because you were blinded for reasons I can’t figure out, and you hid behind the anonymous setting which clearly means you don’t care that much about Miraxus, you just wanted to be mean.

If you’re reading this, and you sent me the messages, message me off anonymous, then we can realistically talk about me taking off my so called cross tagging, I really don’t care that much, I’m just baffled you had to audacity to come for me so hard then “nicely” ask me to remove the tags.

If you’re reading this and you didn’t send me these messages, thanks for reading, maybe share this so people understand that this behavior is not okay. I know what I got was mostly just petty ranting, but there are people who send way worse to others and its just not okay. Just because these aren’t are real accounts like these are fandom accounts doesn’t make it okay. Thanks!

vette+sw. any variant on teacher+student (sw/jaesa, jc/nadia, etc). (jk/kira is... borderline, since kira is more a peer than a student, whereas jaesa/nadia/ashara are very much students of the player character, with ds!jaesa being not just a student but an abused one at that).

Have you ever unfollowed someone over a fandom opinion?

hell yes. i once unfollowed someone (who is since long deactivated) for posting “tivva and her old moff cutesy headcanons”. what the fuck, fandom.

i also make a habit of unfollowing people who do Shit that i complain about on the regular (fascism/wh-te s-premcy rhetoric apologetics, ab-se shippers, etc). (though i am more picky about who i follow than i used to be. for a lot of people though it’s nothing personal, i am just a Weirdo who likes to read their entire dash, so i keep the number of blogs i follow low. but if we interact on anything resembling the regular i probably have a nose at your bagel anyway)

Do you have a NoTP in your fandom? Are they a popular OTP?

as above most/any variant on teacher/student.

jk/scourge. i’ve seen it done ICly exactly once. most of the time scourge is rewritten as a noble romantic knight in edgy armour and not the manipulative borderline-stalker that he is. i hate the pairing for the shitty characterisation that usually accompanies it and i hate the pairing for the abusive relationship it would be were he IC. there is no winning move here except not to play.

corso/smuggler. i get the feeling that most people into this pairing like corso as they want him to be, not corso as he is. or maybe that’s just wishful thinking on my part, idk.

doc/quinn. this pairing is peak White Fujoshi and i hate it. i hate the examples where it’s doc repeatedly hitting on an increasingly uncomfortable quinn, because haha sexually harassing someone is both hilarious and hot am i right. i hate the examples where it’s quinn seducing doc for intel on the resistance (protip: that’s rape!). i hate it i hate it i hate it if i never see it again it will be too soon

jaric kaedan. he’s great i love him. grumpy, arguably less than ls, but passoinately dedicated to the jedi and the republic. hates scourge on sight. badassed the Dread Masters into submission. pushes for the jedi to take action in a war targeted at wiping them out instead of hiding behind the republic. he’s just *chef’s kiss*

major anri exists only to put a likeable face on the empire. she and brax are incredibly deliberate (not to mention hamfisted) attempts to Humanise(tm) a genocidal imperialistic fascist regime and to attempt to play on the guilt of players/characters who take the saboteur route. sadly what bioware seem to fail to realise is that i traded my ability to feel sorry for the empire for a magic bean. it was completely worth it.

swtor fandom is a dumpster fire. racism, misogyny, fascism apologia, ablism, we got it all, folks. in that respect it is not abnormal for fandoms but this is neither an excuse nor a selling point.

it is also not welcoming in the slightest if you take issue with any of the above.

the old method of unlocking travel waypoints was way more immersive (even if it was a colossal pain in the ass). exploring the depths of belsavis for the first time was awe inspiring - seeking out ancient forgotten tech to dig into secrets locked away for untold millenia.

yes, it was a huge pain in the ass, especially if you were on your nth alt. i’d be fine with some system (maybe legacy based) where waypoints/speeder points for a planet are unlocked once you’ve completed the planetary story for the first time (or something). there is so much content in the game that just gets missed by first time players because bioware want to rush them through to the very end and it sucks.

If you could change anything in the show, what would you change?

invent a time machine, arrange for the firing of those who okayed kotfe and its shitty story that glorified a repeat abuser and its shitty gameplay and its total lack of repeatable group content in an mmo. make the writers produce something that a. actually stayed true to the themes of star wars and b. didn’t glorify an abusive genocidal shitlord like valkoriate.

Hey, what are in your opinion the best fiction and nonfiction books about the Borgia family? And why?

Hey anon!

It took me awhile to answer this because is always a tricky question for me lol. I think I’m rather picky when it comes to them, but also I’m constantly changing my mind. Anyways here it goes:

Best:

The Poisoner Mysteries, Sara Poole: So, I must say that the main character, Francesca, can be very annoying and completely unrealistic as a woman in the 14th. But these trilogy has been my favorite so far because the Borgia family is written amazingnly well. I was suprised actually! The writer achieved such a wonderful characterizion of Cesare, a rare balance of giving him his humanity, but also acknowledging his flaws. I adore her Cesare. Her Lucrezia is fine here, didn’t bothered me, she has great dialogues. And her Rodrigo is pretty much how I see him irl. Also there’s a lot of mysteries, which I love. I just had a lot of fun reading it, it was delightful.

Fuyumi Soryo, Cesare: Il Creatore che ha distrutto: I think is brilliant how Soryo showed that serious, historical fiction about the Borgia family can be done without resorting to old clichés and sensationalistic gossip, and still make it fun and entertaining. I’m grateful for the respect and dedication her and her team have showed towards Cesare. And I just love everything about her manga. The main character, Angelo, is great. The relationship he develops with both Cesare and Miguel is so so good! The Medici family is also great here. Lucrezia is adorable! Rodrigo is again, exactly how I see him. And last but not least, the drawings! especially the coloured ones are stunning. So much detail, it’s a work of art, really.

Mario Puzo, The Family: It’s like a classic Borgia fiction, some people hate it, but I absolutely love it! If you must take advantage of all the rumors and misdeeds that surrounds the Borgia family, then I expect you should do it as masterfully as Puzo did it.

Sara Bower, Sins of the House of Borgia: I love it because 1) The main character is super relatable to me sorry not sorry lool, 2) Bower wrote Lucrezia so so well. A complex, well rounded character, that’s neither a victim nor a poisoner. Which it’s how I see her irl. Her writing is beautiful too. Those Cesare and Lucrezia’s letters had me dying!!!!! That being said, I must say that nowdays her Cesare feels ooc sometimes, and her Vannozza still feels rather harsh and unfair imo. But overall it remains a favorite of mine.

Françoise Sagan, Le Sang Doré Des Borgia: I actually haven’t read the book, but the book is basically the transcription of the tv series, which I watched and it’s my favorite Borgia adaptation! I don’t know how Sagan did it, but her Lucrezia is amazing and accurate and ughh what a queen!

Worst:

Jean Plaidy, Madonna of the Seven Hills/ Light on Lucrezia: OH MY GOD, these books are so cringely bad I think the only reason I was able to finish is because it was my first borgia fiction and even then, I suffered getting through with it. Everyone is ooc af. There is one or two good dialogues between Lucrezia and Cesare, but overall what a disaster! I still don’t understand wth the writer was thinking while she was writing that, nor how you can get the WHOLE family all wrong at the same time??? But yeah, I guess that happens sometimes idk lmaoo.

Sarah Dunant, Blood and Beauty: Listen, if you go to Goodreads, you’ll see how praised this book is. And I do admit Dunant is a good writer. However, she is on this side of my list for a very simple reason: she made me hate Lucrezia. Goddd, she tries way too hard to present Lucrezia as the good girl™, beacon of innocence and goodness, and what comes out of it is this incredibly annoying, dull and stupid character that made me roll my eyes each time I had to read her dialogues like: Oh no, more bullshit! can we just go back to Cesare and Rodrigo? their servants? Juan? Joffre? literally anyone would be more interesting to read than her Lucrezia istg. Also if you are a cesare x lucrezia shipper, just know that in order for Dunant to keep Lucrezia on this ridiculous and unrealistic pedestal, their relationship had to be sabotaged. So don’t be fooled by the hardcover copy, nor the lovely dialogues at the beginning, it gets bittesweet pretty fast. And as if all this wasn’t enough, I still had to read with my own two eyes Dunant claiming her book is as close to real life as possible. Just no. Unacceptable. I realized this ended up becoming a mini-rant, sorry anon! I just really loathe this book. It broke my confidence on Goodreads’s review system, that’s for sure.

Elena/Michela Martignoni, Cuore di Tiranno/Verdugo de Tiranos: Too sensationalistic and badly written. And it does have unnecessary violence against women. It would be one thing if they could back that up with hard evidence, which they can’t. All we have is a bunch of theories, so how their minds went where it did there is kinda disturbing imo. It’s not type of reading.

Dumas, The Borgias: Not so much for how he uses and abuses of all the Borgia alleged “sins”, but because his writing is very confusing. It’s too dry to be fiction, but it doesn’t work as non-fiction either because there are some dialogues sometimes. It’s weird and I couldn’t finish it.

Non-fiction:

So, I kinda answered this one here. I would only add that Woodward’s bio on Cesare is not too bad. I mean there were times I wanted to quit reading it, but his last chapters are ok and he offers a good amount of sources and evidence, which I always appreciate.

idk why but i felt like writing a breakdown of all the ships i have for jinho... some are obvious or popular but i have a few that even i don’t really know why i ship them so much but i do ;~;

will do it under a ‘read more’ bc i have no idea how long it will be lol

Jinho/Hongseok: probably the most obvious (and popular) one. i mean, i even have an entire blog dedicated to this otp (@jinhongseok0417) and even wrote a full analysis of their relationship and why i think they’re so close (you can read it here if you want!). before pentagon maker started when i first heard that one of the members is an ex yg trainee i thought it would be funny to ship him with jinho (before i even knew who he was) bc jinho is ex sm trainee and in the end they both ended up in cube... and then when pentagon maker started they became like the biggest otp ever (well maybe other than huidawn but they’ve been married for years so) and just... ;^; i love their relationship so much, they’re my #1 ship ;^;

Jinho/Suho: yes, you read that correctly. yes, i know they never actually interacted or even talked about each other. b u t. as i’m sure everyone knows, both of them were in the original debut lineup as sncj (before it turned into m1 and m2 aka exo k and exo m) and just... here’s the thing. when exo debuted i was a huge exo l (idk if anyone here has been following me long enough to remember that time lol) and i was also a huge shipper so i wanted to have a ship for every member, only at that time i didn’t have any otp for suho (i had some ships for him but with people who had other otps) and i was like... “oh i know!!! that’s because his otp just didn’t debut with them!!!” and for y e a r s i was obsessed with this weird non-existent ship. up until pentagon maker started and i moved on to jinhongseok lol. i’m still highkey hoping they’ll meet eventually but... we never even had any info about them being friends even when jinho was still in sm so i’m doubt that will ever happen lol

Jinho/Chanyeol: so while i was obsessing over the weird 2ho ship i invented in my brain, most people who liked exo from the teaser era or debut era shipped jinho and chanyeol. for a long time i had NO IDEA why... i think it was when i looked up fics of exo with jinho (back when i still read fics about exo) i saw they had a few and i didn’t understand the combination lol. the funny thing is that eventually after jinho debuted i still kept looking up stuff of him with exo and just trying to figure out the timeline of when he left sm, and then i came across a picture of him and chanyeol from... 2013 or 2014 i think it was? probably not long before he left sm actually... anyways i started to think about this ship more and more and realized how cute they would have been.. (also before jinho deleted his instagram they were following each other so~~) anyways these days they’re probably my favorite non-pentagon ship for jinho because chanyeol is a big fluffy puppy and i’m emo just thinking about them like all the time :(

Jinho/Johnny: ok so tbh i never followed the smrookies bc as soon as i realized jinho left i didn’t really care anymore lol and i wasn’t a huge nct stan at the beginning so whenever people talked about johnny and that he has to debut already i didn’t really care about it... but then, i don’t remember when it was, maybe around the time sm announced that he’s joining 127 but before limitless came out, i googled him for some reason and the first thing that came up was a picture i recognized as trainee seo youngho who i knew of back when i still cared about the sm trainees bc i thought jinho would debut with them. and only then it clicked that johnny and jinho probably knew each other for a long time bc they entered the company around the same time (i think, don’t quote me on that). i didn’t know if they were really friends or if they kept in touch with each other - until jinho tagged johnny in a kind of charity relay thing (where idols give something of theirs to sell for charity) which meant that he knows him well enough to tag him on that thing... and since then i became obsessed with them as a ship, i got into nct just for johnny (unfortunately 127 is my least favorite group out of the 3 lmfao) and even wrote an jinho/johnny ex-boyfriends fic (*cough* if you wanna read)... i’ve been waiting for so long for them to interact, and it took about a year until jinho FINALLY went on nct’s night night and even though they weren’t in the same frame they were sitting next to each other and they kept talking and smiling to each other every time there was an ad break and when jinho did aegyo johnny looked so done with life and oh my god i’m still emo about that ngl :”)

Jinho/E’dawn: probably my favorite underrated ship in pentagon ;^; it’s funny bc at first i really liked jinhongseok x huidawn and i was like “every ship between those 4 work, except for jindawn” but then i started noticing them and i realized that they’re actually????? perfect????????? like honestly i don’t know what it is about their relationship because their personalities are quite different but there’s SOMETHING that makes me go !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! every time they interact. i can’t even put my finger on it enough to explain why, but... next time you watch pentory or any other video with pentagon, try to notice their interactions and i’m sure you’ll understand what i mean ;^; please tell me i’m not alone with this ship ;;

Jinho/Hui: gosh, i always love the relationship between the leader and the oldest member (or leader and second oldest when the leader is actually the oldest). there’s just something really special about their relationship - a sense of responsibility, i guess? i think jinho and hui explained it best themselves in their recent allure interview; you can read what they said >here<, i’m referring to the first two paragraphs (but read everything if you want ^^). basically, the thing is - i can really see them leaning on each other when they can’t really lean on anyone else. jinho is the oldest so he’s supposed to be the person the younger members turn to for advice, and hui is the leader so he has to take a lot of responsibilities, but then jinho can always count on hui to help him as a leader and hui can count on jinho to help him as a hyung... i’m not sure i’m explaining it well but i hope you understand what i mean. another thing, though, is their supposed “rivalry” which doesn’t actually exist lol. basically bc they’re the main vocalists and they have similar vocal range it would be easy to assume they would be rivals (and they were for that one pentagon maker episode), but in reality they’re both so supportive of each other and they’re both strong in different areas and they both get good opportunities (hui is getting a lot of promotions from cube but jinho has magazineho and he did a musical) and just... idk it’s really cute how much they love and respect each other even though it would have been so easy for them to be at least a bit competitive with each other... ^^

well that’s pretty much it tbh. i don’t ship jinho romantically with any of the maknaeline because i find it weird (i’m the same age as jinho and i find that age gap kinda weird lol not as much now but when they debuted and were still minors), though i do love his friendship with all of them <3 but as far as actual ships, that’s pretty much it. i mostly ship jinhongseok which is why i don’t actually have that many different ships for him lol

No offense to anyone that ships it but I think he’s icky and that after years of being used and manipulated by men Sansa deserves something better with someone whose motives are clear and uncomplicated, someone who actually loves her and doesn’t just see her as a useful perk on his mission for power.

Are there any popular fandom OTPs you only BroTP?* Hmm idk about this one. I think that Brienne and Tormund is a popular ship now? If so, I only BroTP that one. I am hardcore Jaime/Brienne trash so I can’t see her with anyone else haha.

Have you ever unfollowed someone over a fandom opinion? Yes, but it wasn’t spiteful. I simply didn’t realize that someone I followed for an awesome gifset was a hardcore shipper of something that I don’t like and posted about it all the time. I just didn’t want it on my dash is all.

Do you have a NoTP in your fandom? Are they a popular OTP?* Oh man. Yes. I do. my NoTP is Jon and Sansa. It used to not be. I used to like it and even understood it watching season 6. I also read some great fanfics by a couple of people I follow. But the fandom recently changed how I feel about it. And the more I think about it the more I think that it would be OOC for Jon. But that’s a personal opinion of course!

Has fandom ever ruined a pairing for you?* See above. Jon and Sansa. Not everyone who ships it is like that. In fact I’ve made good mutual friends with some people who ship it. But the radical ones and/or anti-Dany people were abusive to me and it turned me off of the ship as a whole because I started associating it with those people.

Has fandom ever made you enjoy a pairing you previously hated?* Not really. I don’t hate most pairings. Like I have tried to say above, I am cool with people shipping with that want. If anything, fandoms are usually the problem, not the ships themselves haha.

Is there anything you used to like but can’t stand now?* Not really. I guess the closest thing is that I used to be really into Sansa and Sandor/The Hound but now I primarily ship her with Pod. I realize that this is a 100% crack ship that will never be canon but I have become obsessed with it overnight haha.

Have you received anon hate? What about?* I’ve received anon hate about shipping jonerys. People who claim that it’s gross for being incest, or anti-Dany people who claim that she will emasculate Jon or something. Basically nonsense. I also tried to make a meta about similarities between Sansa and Dany explaining why I love them both that really ruffled some feathers and I got some anon hate for that.

Most disliked character(s)? Why? My least favorite characters are obvious ones. Walder Frey (may he rot in hell), Robin Arryn, Joffrey. I actually loved Ramsay because he was a really intriguing and terrifying villain. Plus he was sexy af. Gotta love my confusion about being attracted to an evil sadist. I like Littlefinger as a character even if I don’t like him with Sansa. Like Ramsay, he’s a cool villain. Great scheming.

Most disliked arc? Why? Right now, Arya’s. I feel like her storyline with the Faceless Men was really disappointing and anti-climactic. I don’t know how I wanted it to end, but the way it ended was bad, to me. I think that there were lots of plot holes and that after all the buildup, it just should have felt more cathartic. I did like her murder of Walder Frey though.Second place goes to Jaime on the show. I don’t know why he is backsliding like this. I expected him to see through Cersei by now, and that speech he gave Edmure Tully was totally out of character and just really ugly. I feel like he’s back to season 1.

Is there an unpopular character you like that the fandom doesn’t? Why? Well apparently the fandom doesn’t like Dany. There are dedicated anti-Dany blogs, and I can’t understand that. I love her. Anyway, she is tied with Jon for my favorite character so I definitely love her despite the hate. I also, like I said above, really liked Ramsay haha. I am not sad he died or anything. I just think he was awesome.

Is there an unpopular arc that you like that the fandom doesn’t? Why? Idk about this. I think some people in the fandom are mad that Sansa’s arc changed so drastically from the book. If I am right about that, I don’t agree. I love what D&D did with show Sansa. I am sad that she suffered under Ramsay, but she is stronger for it and I feel like for the first time she is really in charge of her own destiny. She is badass and the queen of the North as far as I’m concerned. Very big improvement over hanging out at the Vale if you ask me.

Unpopular opinion about XXX character? Oh god. This will be very unpopular. I want Jon to take a break from the manbun. I get that people love the manbun. Fuck, I love the manbun. But I miss his flowing locks hahaha.

Unpopular opinion about your fandom? Unpopular opinion? Idk with all the negativity going around, it’s probably unpopular to feel positive. So I’ll just say overall I love this fandom. I have met some people through loving Game of Thrones who I consider to be true friends even though we only know each other via tumblr. I love my mutuals, especially my jonerys family.

Unpopular opinion about the manga/show? Idk if this unpopular, but I hate the Sand Snakes on the show. I think most people do? So I guess this isn’t unpopular. Idk I tend to agree with most people haha.

If you could change anything in the show, what would you change? If I could change anything in the show, I would have Arya’s arc go better. Ask me again after season 7. If jonerys doesn’t happen, I’ll say I want to change that haha ;)

Instead of XYZ happening, I would have made ABC happen… Instead of Jaime continuing to follow Cersei, I would have him turn on her in the eleventh hour and reconcile with Tyrion. Cersei is an amazing woman, but she’s got to go. I think it is wildly out of character for Jaime to continue to support her after her political climbing has endangered the lives of their children to the point of their deaths. I just feel that as a character Jaime should have evolved beyond this. He should have wised up before now. He has a good heart. She doesn’t. Oops. Bet THAT is my unpopular opinion.

If you feel something about a non-canon or crack ship, that’s awesome. It means you think like an individual. What is the purest ship in the fandom? Gendrya. Hands down. Haha.

How would you end XXX/Would you change the ending of XXX? My dream ending has Daenerys and Jon falling in love and successfully uniting the kingdoms against the White Walkers. They win the war at the cost of many lives. King’s Landing is destroyed in the process. It turns out that Dany isn’t barren and they have a child. But when King’s Landing is being rebuilt, Dany realizes that what she wanted all along wasn’t a throne, it was a family and a place to belong. She thought that meant carrying on her family’s dynastic tradition but knows now that she can be happy with Jon in the North. The Red Keep is rebuilt without an Iron Throne and Tryion establishes a senate with representatives from all seven kingdoms and Essos. I know this won’t happen. It’s my wish though haha.

4: Favourite soundtrack(s)- Oooo. Uh. Well naturally 4 is up there, since it has so many of the iconic themes and all, but pretty much everyone loves everything about 4, so. I’m going to say 1 and 7, 1 because it has “Duel of the Fates” and who doesn’t love that song I mean honestly, 7 for “Rey’s Theme” holy shit it’s gorgeous and it was my ringtone for a while. (Fun fact both of those are a bitch to play. Esp “Duel of the Fates” oh my god chop my fingers off. John Williams what were you thinking.)

21: Otp/Brotp/Ot3/Notp(s)- Otp is prob... you’re all going to stare at me, but Thraul (Thrawn/Maul). It is 10000% captainmazzic’s fault. Not canon in the slightest (they haven’t met and prob never will but when has that ever stopped me) but it works man it really fucking works. I also ship Jango/Obi-Wan, ngl, idk why. There’re some fics that do wondrous things with it. And oh my god I almost forgot Chirrut/Baze how could I forget those precious cinnamon rolls. They’re so married. Totally married. I also shipped Thrawn/Car’das for a while, prob still would given a reason. Brotp would be...Finn and Rey? Idk I don’t really have one tbh. Phasma and guns how’s that lmaoooo. I kid. I really don’t have a brotp though. Ot3 is... well tbh I don’t have one of these either. I have very few ot3′s in general, so that’s not unusual. Notp is most likely Kylo Ren/anyone-but-Hux. It’s not bc I’m a dedicated Kylux shipper (although I do ship it), it’s bc literally every other character I see him shipped with was mind-raped by him in canon? And that rubs me the wrong way. At least with Kylux they’re on a more even footing with each other, there’s too much of a power gap with the other ships. (Also Reylo is potentially an incest ship and I’m. not really into those. No judgement if you are, liking something in fiction isn’t the same as condoning it irl, incest ships just aren’t my thing.) Awful people being awful together is more palatable (and interesting) to me.

23: Jedi, Sith, or Grey Jedi- I could never be a proper Jedi, full stop end of line. I do confess, a lot of what I’ve seen of the Jedi has been during their decline pre-Empire (I haven’t really delved into any Old Republic or post-OT stuff besides the Thrawn trilogy), so it’s not like I saw them at their best, but what I did see was that they were complacent, hypocritical, arrogant, and far too self-righteous for my tastes. (Which, of course, was one of the points of the PT but I digress.) That said, I don’t think I could be a Sith either, though I’m by far closer to Sith than Jedi. I’m not emotional enough, not ambitious enough, not interested enough in power. I’m probably angry enough, ngl, but that’s all I got. I don’t think of myself as a passionate person. I’d be at a disadvantage amongst proper Sith. All that said, I’m not picking Grey Jedi bc it’s the only option left, I’m picking it bc it’s the closest to my personal philosophy (which is in part Stoic). Balance and all that appeals to me, and as much as I can be an intractable son of a bitch who won’t budge for love or money on some issues I know that life is rarely black and white, Light and Dark. (But end of the day I wouldn’t bother with the Force, I’d be Mandalorian. Oya!)

Idk if anyone saw the Tik Tok about this that I commented on (highly doubtful), but I thought I’d elaborate a little on what I said because I feel the need to rant so my comment is more understandable and complex.

(And no, for those of you who didn’t find your way here through my Tik Tok endeavors, my comment wasn’t controversial or offensive to my knowledge. It actually has gotten a bit of traction. It was about Bucky Barnes.)

James Buchanan Barnes is a viciously underrated character within the Marvel universe, in both the comics and the MCU. Mostly, he’s shipped around with Steve or whoever he talks to-and I’m a part of the people that do this, huge Bucky/Natasha shipper. And I’m not an expert on his character, I haven’t read a single comic book in my life. But I do want to and I read a lot of excerpts from the comics and watch the cartoons and binge the movies. So if I give out false information, I am happy to be corrected but just know that I do my best to work with the information I have and most of my rants are theory based whether they make sense or not. If you must correct me at all, please be courteous enough to be polite about it. The majority of this is from the MCU films.

Natasha says in CA:TWS that The Winter Soldier was responsible for a multitude of assassinations over the past five decades. Bucky was taken in by Hydra during the Second World War, which goes into the assumption that he’d either just been frozen for twenty years or that he fought off the brainwashing in that time frame. The romanticized version would be the latter. And it’s pretty and sweet and not to far out of the range of possibility. But it’s just not that realistic or believable. They most likely kept him cryogenically frozen and rigorously trained him. The goal would’ve been to keep him under cryo long enough for him to be disoriented when he came out of it before wiping his memory. The first twenty years under Hydra would have been exclusively dedicated to building up the trigger words and their fallbacks. It would’ve been dedicated to making him forget the war, his sisters, his best friend; making him forget Bucky and replacing those memories with every language known to man, every hand-to-hand combat routine practiced on this planet, how to handle any weapon and incapacitate any enemy. He wasn’t a person, not the perfect soldier, not a warrior. Because even the most ruthless warriors were human, they all fought for something. But the Winter Soldier wasn’t human, he was a weapon, he was the Asset. If they treated his wounds, broken bones and ruptured organs, it was to placate him. You had to clean your weapons to use them properly.

And through it all, there was still a little bit of a Brooklyn man named James Buchanan Barnes within the Soldier. They saw it in the way he silently cried after killing a simple witness and their family. In the way he unconsciously shuffled around awkwardly, his prior confidence depleted severely, as if his purpose and poise left him after each completed mission. Knowing that they wouldn’t have him so tightly within their grasp for much longer, they reassured him. And it had been so long since anyone had cared for him properly, had given him advice, guided him, he fed right into it. Maybe he wasn’t so bad, maybe their was some good in his horrifying actions. They said so, and they said it so nicely, they’d never been nice before. At the back of his mind, there was a small voice that told him they were wrong, that told him to fight, dammit! He heard it often, screaming unintelligibly at him during missions, taunting him at night when he tried to sleep, calling him weak and begging him to prove the voice wrong. He never did. He didn’t even know what the voice was saying, it meant something once, but it didn’t anymore. And he was helping, giving the world its freedom and saving everyone. A few lives prevented that and a few hundred made up for the billions, right? He didn’t think it did, but they knew better, they told him so. And if listening, if obeying meant not getting beaten, slapped around, and electrocuted then maybe they were right.

They put him under again in January of 1992. He completed a mission and didn’t return to his handlers. He hoped that them finding him meant that they were worried about him, cared for him even. They didn’t, and told him so as they yelled at him and degraded him. He scolded himself at the same time, he was being stupid and he shouldn’t have hoped for anything. Why did he? He should have gone back to base. Why didn’t he? It was because of that man, that man and his wife that caused this. He was being hurt again and that man and his oddly familiar face were to blame. He sounded so desperate when he begged him to spare his wife. He called him something, what was it? It started with a ‘B’? Where had he seen that man? Why did his chest feel heavy and limbs feel weighed down? Did he know that man? Why did he assume that Hydra would take of him, at least ask him if he was okay? They never had before and yet the answer was obvious. It was because of...of...who? Who did he feel this feeling of kinship for? He didn’t trust or like anyone he knew. The two year hibernation fuzzied him up again. He’d think about it later.

Zola called him ‘Sergeant Barnes’ when he first woke from a coma. It was his first memory and the only one not completely obscured. He hated Zola. He knew that. He was glad he was gone and he never had to see him again. But who was Sergeant Barnes? Was it him? Was he in the military? He looked into the mirrors once and imagined himself cleaner, upright, with a smooth haircut and a light stubble, with a crisp uniform that he wore proudly. He smashed the glass with his flesh hand and his handler backhanded him across the face before wrapping his hand with a piece of yellowed cloth. He hid behind his hair for the next three weeks. He hated his hair almost as much as his hands. He was weak, needing to hide behind his hair the way a young child clung to his mother’s legs. Luckily, they never saw it that way. They thought he was showing off his devil-may-care attitude. Like it was a way to prove that he was just a weapon, objects didn’t care about how they looked. But he needed it. He hated his hair, but he needed it. The unkempt tresses protected him and were the only defiance he allowed himself. They could take away his free will. They could take away his memory. They could take away his youth and soul, but he kept his hair. Even to him the concept was ridiculous if not downright stupid. But he afforded it and took away with it his pride.

His dignity, however, was lacking. He threw it away within the first year of his initial training. The ugly scarring around his shoulder was a physical reminder of it. It was hard to tell what exactly caused the scars, if you didn’t know what he’d done. Sometimes, on his better days, he’d pretend that he’d gotten them in an accident. Maybe the accident that cost him his arm in the first place. On his worst days, he’d remind himself that he didn’t have any scars that he didn’t give himself. Bullet wounds, knife grazes, and gashes all stitched themselves back together eventually, and he wouldn’t be able to tell he had them in the first place. He had two sets of scars that he’d given himself. The aforementioned shoulder scarring, when he first realized just how badly he’d been damaged, when he still thought he could fix himself and be good again. Had he been good at all? He’d hoped so when he tried to pry off the offending metal limb with his bare fingers. After he’d given up on his attempts, he wondered where the most blood was coming from, his flesh hand or the remainder of his shoulder. He passed out before he could decide. The second set of scars was just under his right hip. Hidden by the fabric of his pants and invisible to eyes, the area where he’d stabbed himself with a dagger then ripped the torn skin further with his vibranium hand was now a knarly mess of pale blemishes. He’d done it twenty-three years after being captured, as he then realized, and was given his first witness elimination mission. A widowed mechanic and his three daughters and infant son. He couldn’t do it so he faked an accident so they sent someone else in his place. He was proud of it. His shoulder and arm may have caused humiliation and suffering, but he felt as if their was still some good, some humanity, left in him, even if it was the smallest amount.

That small action led him to believe the lies. If he could be a hero, it would all be worth it. If he did heroic things, he wouldn’t be a bad guy. But he was one. He was a murderer. A villain. A puppet. A weapon. A monster. Shameful and hideous, it didn’t matter what they told him. Because the small voice, which had grown clearer over the years, always told him the truth. He was covered in oceans of blood. He caused lifetimes of misery. He ruined and destroyed whatever he touched. The voice didn’t sound malicious or sinister or taunting. He’d exhausted it enough that the voice knew that taunts didn’t work and never had. It was mournful, sad. It threw these awful and mean names at him, repeated the names of all his victims, replayed all of his punishments. It did it robotically. It wanted something from him. And every time Rumlow or Pierce or Zola’s AI personality spoke, the mental voice was in his head, saying the exact opposite. Rumlow called him a machine. The voice told him he was once human. Pierce told him he was a savior. The voice called him a killer. Zola’s computer filtered mind told him that he was a success. The voice called him a victim. When he first heard the echoing words, they sounded hopeful, rascally, and youthful. Now they sounded tired, old, and resigned. The voice had a Brooklyn accent.

Why did this happen? He was so close! They were so close. Why did that terribly familiar man have to speak to him? Who was Bucky? Was Bucky even a person? What if it was just a curse? Or a sound that the man made? God, why the hell did he respond? Hydra was finally revealing its infiltration into SHIELD and he was finally about to complete the cause of his creation. They were gonna put him under again. Wipe him. It hurt so much. Why couldn’t they just kill him? He deserved it. He wanted it. He should’ve kept his damn mouth shut! But he knew him, and Pierce always had answers. Always. Pierce was many things, Pierce had done many things, but Pierce never lied to him. He was helping. He was a hero. He assisted in the goal to achieve world-wide freedom. He was a machine. He was a victim. He was a monster. He should’ve died.

The blond man was calling him Bucky again. He figured out that Bucky was a name. The blond man, who’d he since found out was named Steve, thought it was his name. He didn’t have a name. Not a real one. He had aliases and identifiers. But no name. They took him out earlier than usual. According to the date, less than a week than when he’d been put under. He’d forgotten the blond man until he was given a picture and an order. He kept his mouth shut this time and the voice in his head became louder. His name is Steve and you know him, it cried. He ignored it as always. If he did this, then they’d have no reason to put him under anymore. No reasons for missions or stakeouts or killings. A large part of him, the logical part, told him that they’d kill him the moment they reached their goal, but a smaller part secretly hoped that they’d just let him leave. Standing in front of the blond man now, he realized that he should’ve thought of an escape plan long ago. It was Steve’s fault. Steve made him realize that he didn’t want to die. How long had he wished that he could’ve been killed? All for it to be ruined by this stupid patriotic asshole to ruin it. His self-loathing was replaced by rage. He’d comply, he’d complete this final mission and then leave. He’d kill Steve Rogers and, for once, he’d actually enjoy it.

‘Til the end of the line’, the voice hollared, so loud that it sounded like his own thoughts, instead of like a background reporter. After saying it’s piece, it left. The presence in the back of his mind was gone and everything became so clear. He hesitated. Flashes of his life raced across his vision. Mom. Rebecca. Stevie. Miss Sarah. Brownies. Dot. Samantha. Carol. June. Maria. Pizza. Army. Sarah died. She smelled like cherry blossoms. Stevie is so small. I dated too many girls. Rebecca hit me in the head for it a lot. She and Ma thought I was a scoundrel. My name. My name. My name. My name is James Buchanan Barnes. My mom. My mom mommy mom. Her name is Winifred. I joined the military. Steve joined. He’s Captain America. California rolls. The helicarrier is collapsing.

The cold water cleared his head. It was like one of Rebecca’s wacks except it was colder, harder and bigger. He preferred Rebecca’s. Stevie is drowning. He’s unconscious. Bucky pulls him out of the water and onto the riverbed. He’s confused and doesn’t know what’s happening. He wants to be alone. He doesn’t know where he’s going just that it’s somewhere and nowhere at the same time and that’s where wants to be. He’s Bucky. Bucky. Bucky. Bucky. Buckybuckybucky. James. Someone called him Jimmy once and he socked him. He hates that nickname. Bucky. Yeah, that’s him. He sees his reflection in the glass and the days events crash over him. That’s not Bucky. That’s him and he’s a monster. A puppet. A weapon. He doesn’t want to be. He won’t be. They can’t control him anymore. He won’t let them. Steve can’t help, Steve can’t understand. Steve will be ashamed of him. Steve doesn’t know what he’s done. He’s all alone. He’s lost. His knees buckle and he crashes to the floor. For the next few hours, he can’t tell if he’s screaming or not. His face is red and hot and wet. Is his voice raw from screaming or is he just dehydrated? Probably not the latter cuz’ the river would’ve done a good job of that. It didn’t clean his cuts that well. They sting. Bucky wonders why his wounds healing themselves hurts more than receiving them in the first place. He deserves it.

Bucky starts at the museum. He stole a bunch of journals out of a craft store. One of them was a dark fushia and he didn’t notice due to the lack of light and time to pick his preference. It’s his favorite color now. He writes down everything in his journals. From his memories to his thoughts to the things he wants to try and why he wants to try them. He wanted to alphabetize the entries, but decided it would be best to write whatever came to mind. Most of it was written in a flurry of different languages, some sentences repeating themselves in Russian, German, Spanish and Chinese. He never learned how to speak French though he understood it quite well. His mother and sister were the first people Bucky wrote about. His friendship with Steve was another. His list of junk food that he hadn’t tried took up a good few pages. He wanted a McFlurry but something about a broken machine prevented him from getting one. When he arrived at the World War II portion of the museum tour and came upon his own section, Bucky was overwhelmed by his feelings of shame. He shouldn’t have been. Staring at the determined but friendly look in his former self’s eyes, he thought about how far he’d fallen. He carefully and meticulously wrote down the entirety of the portion of the exhibit, even writing down every word spoken through the recorded story speech. He avoided Steve’s exhibit.

K*mahina and Sai*uma are the Only Two coming to Mind - they were Fine at First, but The Fandom is just So Overly Saturated in Content for Those Ships and It’s. Exhausting. I was Never a Big Shipper of Either of Them to Begin With, but The Oversaturation just Kinda Killed any Potential for Me.

6. Has fandom ever made you enjoy a pairing you previously hated?

I’ve never Gone from Hating a Ship to loving It - usually it’s more of Ships that I Never really Considered or Thought Much of until I Saw Content for Them and Fell in Love With Afterwards. Irumatsu’s a Good Example of That, as is Goshi, Amaguuji, Nekodam, and Several Others.

10. Most disliked arc game? Why?

Ultra Despair Girls. All the New Characters were Either the Actual Worst or Simply Meh aside from Komaru and Hiroko, we got Zero Fucking Show of Any of the Remnants of Despair aside from Komaeda and Some Izuru at the End, and it Just felt Lacking Overall. The Best Things that came Out of DR:AE were Komaru and a Much Better Toko.

11. Is there an unpopular character you like that the fandom doesn’t? Why?

I feel like Ryoma is Vastly Underappreciated in the Fandom - Love that Dude to Hell and Back. Idk how Popular/Unpopular Hagakure is In the Fandom, really, but I really Enjoy him A Lot and Not many People Seem to Talk about Him (aside from Really Tired and Overdone Weed Jokes).

12. Is there an unpopular arc that you like that the fandom doesn’t? Why?

I’ll take Arc to mean Trial this Time, so I’ll Say that I Honestly Enjoyed playing through Chapter 6 of V3 - regardless of My Opinions on The Trial and the Twist of V3 Itself, the Actual Playing of Chapter 6 was Pretty Fun and I Enjoyed Piecing everything Together during That Chapter and Exploring the School Fully and Whatnot.

13. Unpopular opinion about XXX character?

Idk if it’s Necessarily Unpopular, but I Don’t really See the Appeal in Rantaro? Like, He’s Cool and A Good Dude, but People Seem to Love Him and I don’t? Really get Why? He’s just kind of. A Dude. he’s Nice and Chill and Definitely Pretty but like. That’s about It.

14. Unpopular opinion about your fandom?

Again, not Necessarily Unpopular, but I Think there’s More Good to the Fandom than People Realize - Granted, the Shit that’s Bad is Baaaaad, but There’s a Lot of Good in this Fandom Beneath all the Bullshit and the Drama and the Weird, Weird Shit.

15. Unpopular opinion about the manga/show?

I still Stand By my Opinion that the V3 Ending wasn’t As Bad as People are Making it Out to Be. Yeah, it Wasn’t Stellar by Any Means and it Could’ve been a Lot Cooler and there were Some Notable Plot Holes and Whatnot but! Despite All That! I still Feel like, now that I’ve Sat on It and Really Let myself Absorb the Ending and Process it, I Still Enjoyed it, for What it was Worth.

16. If you could change anything in the show games, what would you change?

DR1: Only Big Thing I’d wanna Change is Hagakure should’ve Died in Taka’s Place - i Love Hiro, but I love Taka, Too, and He was Really Deserving of DevelopmentDR2: Sonia Should’ve been the One to Murder Mechamaru. like, Again, I Love Sonia, but Having Her as the Murderer would’ve left So Much Room for Her, Souda, and Even Gundham to Have some Amazing Development form the Experience, Especially Souda - He could’ve Gotten the Fuck Over himself and Not been So One-Note in his Characterization and He could’ve Learned to be Fucking Respectful of Women and Possibly even Befriended Gundham in the Process!! Plus Having Sonia as a Murderer to Save Everyone?? Amazing.DR:AE: just. Delete this Game. That’s the ChangeDRV3: Give Korekiyo Shinguuji the Goddamn Writing he Should’ve been Given. God that Dude had So Much Potential for an Interesting Motive or a Cool Twist or Even a Sad Breakdown where His Amoral Views are Suddenly Turned on their Head and he Shows that He’s Incredibly Afraid of Death - but What did We Get? Weird Creepy Incest Time. Actually, better Yet, just. Get Rid of All the Weird Incest Stuff in V3 in General. it’s All Bad and Weird.

Okay so Now that I’m Thinking about Kiyo’s Godawful Writing, I wanna Talk about How I would’ve Loved to See his Twist involve Him Dealing with his Amorality and his Indifference to Life and Death. like, Imagine if He Broke Down during the Trial and said He’d Killed Angie because it Turned Out he was Actually Afraid of Dealing with the Spirit World, because He’s Very Spiritual and Doesn’t Want to Anger them or Upset them - especially since His Sister (whom He Wasn’t Incestuous With - Not on My Watch) is Now a Spirit and he Feels that Trying to Resurrect the Dead is Desecrating the Balance of Life and Death. Hell, maybe He even Felt Envious that They could Supposedly Bring back a Dead Classmate here but he Could Never bring his Sister Back, so he Lashed Out at Angie in a Rage. and Maybe Tenko Witnessed him do it and He had to Kill Her to Keep her Quiet or Something (get Rid of the Weird Seesaw Nonsense).

idk I just. Really Really Liked Kiyo’s Character a Lot up until That Point and it was a Major Letdown that I’m Still not Over.

I mean, When it Comes to Shipping, if you Don’t Ship Something, it’s Not because you’re “in Denial” of Anything or Necessarily Biased (and Shit, even if You are, then What’s the Problem? I’m Biased against S*udam because I Have an AU where they’re Brothers and I Like that Way More than Putting them Together Romantically). Not Shipping something that’s Popular is Whatever - Ship what you Want, so Long as it Isn’t Abusive or Incestuous or Pedophilic or Anything like that.

the Fucking. People who are Just Mass-Producing Discourse All the Time. like, Everybody who Attacks People and Sets up Literal Entire Sideblogs Dedicated to Hating Certain Characters. How do you Have the Energy and the Care to Be at People’s Throats all the Time, Y’all? That’s Insane to Me. and Especially Shoutout to that One DR Confessions Blog that’s Always in the Tags and is Practically Nothing but Discourse - That’s the Worst Offender that I can Think Of at the Moment.

Ohhh man, That’s Gotta be Goshi. I Cannot think of A Purer Ship than Those Two and it Warms my Gay Lil Heart to Pieces.

I Think they’re Fun! Like, Daiyakure? Good Shit! Fuyusouda? Excellent!! Soniakane? Stellar!!! A Lot of my Ships Personally are Kinda Crack-y, so I Thrive on That Shit

I’d Definitely Change the End of V3, but I Really haven’t Thought Extensively on How I’d wanna Change it. All I know is, If they Really Wanna Keep the Ending they Have, then Kiibo Really should’ve been The Protag and Not Kaede or Shuichi.

The one thing worse than the obsessed pros/wankers are the obsessed antis. So much energy put into hating something, instead of enjoying what they like . Oh well. There's no balance on either side, right? It's one thing to be stubborn and another to be extreme. It's taking things way way too seriously. In fact, the most obsessed wankers end up being antis on a constant basis. There's some folks (SasuSaku, naruhina and sns mainly) who constantly bash others to uplift their OTP. *yawn* 🙄🙄

Though I don’t mind pages only dedicated to one ship or one show. I myself have a main blog and a couple sideblogs so I won’t clog my main up. I guess the blogging method also counts and how people approach others. Judging someone over a ship is so superficial - and moving from that to personal attacks is just plain low. I guess folks forget others are also people, you know? Way too serious! Let’s hope Boruto lightens the general mood.

Honestly, I didn’t see much of obsessed antis, unless those are some kids, people dislike to spend so much time hating on something. But I guess those exist too, huh? Well, many antis don’t hate, but point out the flaws, like the majority of anti naruto ending fandom, for example. I personally think it’s really important, since everything some things in Naruto are really fucked up right now. As to the obsessed pros, it seems like they don’t tolerate anything that is against their ship, even if those people are not agressive towards pacifist shippers at all. I remember I was blocked by someone from my other page, and it seems just for posting stuff they didn’t like? And I never crosstag. So, idk.

By the way, I’d not say SNS bash others so much. We really have so much on us, we don’t feel the need to bash. Even after canonization of certain pairings, SNS was still obviously getting attention from SP and Kishi, and of course 2 CD dramas from actual seyuus of Naruto and Sasuke. At least, I don’t see them bluntly hating on anyone, just as I said, pointing out the flaws, which is important.

The most respecting fandom would be NaruSaku, but that’s because there’re not so many shippers, especially now. But heck, we always had fun on our own, our fanmade stuff is amazing, and honestly, it was so hard to be a part of the fandom, since we get most of the hate + Sakura hate, of course, hence my screenshots. Once, I just decided I will be screening that shit, because the amount of hate NaruSaku/Sakura fans get is incredible. And I only make edits, and don’t ship them in canon manga, but I still constantly get hate just for posting something about them.

In general, Naruto fandom sucks, it’s no news. But I feel like now it’s showing it’s worst side. If pros are so happy that their super developed ships are canon now, why even spend your time bashing the other fandom that does no harm? It feels like someone is not so confident in their OTP or something.

P.S. I just hate all new gen kids. The idea of them brought Naruto to where it is now, and I can’t and I won’t bring myself to watch even one episode of it :\ So, sure as hell, it won’t lighten my mood lol
