Vampire Knight: Senri Shiki's Yandere for Kianna Komori — Part 6 (Requested)

Daily Consequences
While everyone in the Night Class were still at Takuma's birthday party, Kaname and Aido were rendezvousing at the Headmaster's office in the main campus building. Kaname had Kaien's number in case the two ever needed to discuss Day and Night Class student management. Although the situation was never ideal, Kaien was always more than willing to sacrifice sleep for the sake of his students.
The Headmaster's office was dim. It was only being lit by a few candles located around the entrance and Kaien's desk. The Headmaster insisted on keeping the lights off to be courteous to his nocturnal guests as to not irritate their eyes. Kaien was sitting behind his desk. He was hunched over the wooden surface with his elbows on top of it.
"I must say, I'm honestly disappointed to hear such a horrific event occurred to one of my students". Kaien stated in a stirn voice. His fingers were overlapping while his face leaned into the sides of his hands as he spoke. Kaien's hazel eyes then shifted to Hanabusa. "However, seeing as this was a bloodlust crime, rather than an unlawful act of r**e, you're suspended for ten days". The ash-blonde concluded with narrowed eyes.
Kaname stood across the Headmaster beside Hanabusa. His shoulders were relaxed as he gently held his arms. "I agree". Kaname said, nodding his head. The Pureblood then turned his attention onto the blonde vampire. Hanabusa stood ridged with his shoulders up and his head down in shame. "Aido, because you also fought on school grounds, you will be on house arrest for the duration of your suspension and I expect you to consume two blood tablets per drink until I deem you trustworthy to limit your consumption down to one again". Kaname added.
Hanabusa grit his teeth. The blood tablets were bland and being forced to drink twice as much would make his meals taste foul. More than anything, Hanabusa was pained to hear he had lost some of Kaname's trust. "I understand. I'll do my best to rekindle your faith in me, Lord Kaname". He said with a slight tremble in his tone. Hanabusa then bowed respectfully to Headmaster Cross and his Vamperic Lord before the trio ended their meeting.
The next day, classes resumed for Kianna. She was dressed in the traditional black school uniform as expected of day class students. Kianna climed to the top of the lecture hall steps to reach the tallest desk on the left side of the room. Zero sat there along with several other male day class students. The only space left on the row was the end seat beside the silver-haired boy, which was reserved for Kianna herself. Despite what happened last night, Aido barely bit her. There was no point in bandaging up what was the equivalent of a needle prick as the wound clotted within seconds.
"Hey, we know your little secret". A voice suddenly rang out from Kianna's right.
Kianna then turned her attention to the direction of the noise to see a trio of day class girls on the aisle steps. Their faces were a mix of beaming grins with either a mischievous sparkle in their eyes or a look of sorrow. It was an odd display to say the least. "The whole class knows you're going out with Senri Shiki"! A long-haired brunette girl exclaimed, pointing a finger at Kianna.
"How long has this been going on"? Another girl cried, on the verge of tears.
"Yeah! We all deserve an explanation! How'd you do it and what do ya say to hooking some of us up with a Night Class hottie"? A blonde girl winked.
"That's my business". Kianna replied with narrowed eyes. These demanding and entitled brats needed to quit sticking their noses where it doesn't belong. Kianna didn’t owe anyone crap regarding her personal life and the entire encounter was irritating her. The worst part about this entire situation was the day hadn't even started yet.
"So you are dating! You didn't deny it"! The brunette girl pointed again.
"No! I can't believe it"! The crying girl sobbed, furiously shaking her head in denial.
The boonde girl beside the crying girl then pulled her into a side hug. "It may be heartbreaking to know Shiki chose a scary girl like Komori, but we should be happy for them"! She grinned, patting the girl's head. "This means we've got a better shot at dating someone else in the Night Class"! The blonde exclaimed, winking at the girl soaking her shoulder with her tears. "Aido is number one on my list"! She declared.
Kianna rolled her eyes in response. "With the way you're all acting, none of you have a shot at dating anyone from the Night Class". She bluntly stated. It was highly unlikely anyone from the Night Class would go out with even half these crazy bimbos. Kianna then pointed a finger at the crying girl and said "It’s pathetic your crying over a boy you never had a chance with. Get over yourself. It's not the end of the world". She then directed her finger at the delusional blonde girl and said "—And your ego needs to be knocked down a few pegs to gain a sense of humility".
At that moment, Yuki stood up from her chair and spun around to face the group a row above her. "Kianna"! She called out. "You’re worse than Zero! You don't have to say things to make the girls hate you". Yuki frowned in disappointment.
Kianna then heard Zero scuff beside her in annoyance. "You think those things know anything about love"? He muttered under his breath.
"What"? Kianna asked, snapping her attention onto the cold boy.
"Nothing". He huffed, resting the side of his face into the palm of his hand.
Suddenly, the brunette slammed her palm onto Kianna's desk. When she lifted her hand, several polaroid photographs were laid out in front of her. The pictures mostly captured moments between her and Senri. There was a picture of her and Senri out on a walk around one of the campus gardens. Another picture featured the couple at a Maid Café in town. Then, there were a couple of pictures which showcased Kianna hanging out with Rima and Ichijo occasionally.
Although Kianna's unusual blank expression refused to waver, she was internally repulsed at the idea of being stalked and photographed without consent. "By far, you’re the worst". Kianna began, now pointing a finger at the brunette. "No one likes a stalker. Now, mind your own business". She snapped in dismissal.
"What?! Komori, do you mind explaining how you're suddenly so cozy with the Night Class"?! A male voice exclaimed in anger.
While Kianna was focused on the pictures in front of her, she hadn’t noticed the Class Representative joined the group of girls on the stairs. He was adjusting his glaces as he glared down at the photographs.
Yuki shrugged. "So much for trying to defuse the situation..." She mumbled to herself. Yuki's brown eyes then widened when she realized what had escaped her mouth. She then shook her head and said "I mean, Class Rep, you should be setting a better example for the class and respect Kianna's privacy"! Yuki sisked.
A milky white hand then shot out and swipped all the pictures off of Kianna's desk. "Confiscated". Zero suddenly blurted.
When Zero stuffed the pictures into the pocket of his pants to burn later, the brunette scrunched her face in anger. "Hey! What's your problem, Mr. Disciplinary Committee"? She snapped.
"I'll be reporting you to the Headmaster after class". Zero stated, refusing to make eye contact with the girl.
"You all know the rules. That's an invasion of privacy"! Yuki scolded.
"Butt out, Cross"! The brunette yelled.
"Class is about to start, get to your seats". Zero demanded, glaring at the group of students.
Once classes were over for the day, the majority of the day class students had already rushed out the door. "Hey, Kianna"! Yuki called in the row below her. "Will you please stay to study with me and Sayori"? She asked with a warm smile.
Kianna didn’t have anything against Yuki. She may be pushy at times, but she was a nice girl who meant well. As for Sayori, Kianna had no problem with the soft-spoken girl who simply minded her business. Doing a group study for future exams wasn't a bad idea.
"Yuki, why not study with Zero since you're both behind due to your Disciplinary Committee duties"? Sayori asked. She had already gathered her books into her arms and was preparing to depart. It seemed Sayori might have had previous plans.
Yuki then balled her fists. "But I don't wanna study alone with Zero it's so boring"! She cried, shaking her head.
"Can't". Zero blurted. "We've got somewhere to be". He said, suddenly latching onto Kianna's hand and dragging her along. If Kianna hadn't already gathered her belongings, she would've been ticked off at the forceful action. However, even she knew Zero meant no harm. He could be cold, but he's caring deep down. These were traits they both shared and understood in each other.
Yuki knit her brow in confusion and tilted her head to the side. "Huh? Without me"? As far as she was concerned, they had a couple of hours to study prior to controlling the switchover. Afterwards, she and Zero had to attend their usual patrolling duties while the night class was in session. Due to this, she had no idea what her partner was talking about. Unfortunately for Yuki, Zero didn't respond and proceeded to pull Kianna out of the classroom. "Wait, Zero"! Yuki called. "Where are you two going"?
Kianna was clueless as to what was going on. She also had no idea where Zero intended on taking her either, but she remained silent for the remainder of their walk. Eventually, the two found themselves in front of the school stables. Despite being part of campus, the wooden stables were practically hidden in its own clearing. The area smelled of horses and oats.
When Zero finally released his hold on Kianna's hand, he turned around to face her. His expression was blank, but his eyes held a deep concern. On the other hand, Kianna stared up at the adolescent with pursed lips. She then crossed her arms and asked, "What’s this about"?
"Are you really dating Shiki"? Zero asked. Normally, he wouldn't care about other people's business; however, this matter involved a vampire. Besides, this situation was difficult to avoid with the pictures serving as evidence.
Kianna rolled her eyes out of irritation. "I thought that was obvious". She bitterly replied.
"Listen, it's really none of my business weather you like that guy or not, but you do realize, don't you"? Zero questioned. When Kianna remained silent, he continued. "He's a vampire. Vampires are different from us. Why are you spending so much time with their kind anyway"? Zero spat.
Although it had been two months since Kianna arrived at Cross Academy, the school year had already been in session for three months. To say her presence was a surprise would be an understatement. Kianna was all Day Class Students gossiped about regarding her cold demeanor, her late transfer in the school year and her unwillingness to discuss anything about herself to strangers. Eventually, people figured she was the female equivalent of Zero and left her alone. Being reserved, Kianna didn’t feel the need to talk about herself or her past to anyone. She may have warmed up to Zero, Yuki and Sayori; but this didn't mean she was going to tell them her life story. The Disciplinary Committee was only aware of Kianna's knowledge of vampires through Kaien. Which, Kianna admitted to him upon filling out the transfer paperwork, but even Kaien didn't press for further information as long as she abided by the rules.
With that, no one knew she transferred to the Moon Dormitory for personal reasons beyond the Headmaster. Kianna was simply provided with a key to access the school gates at any time, like the Disciplinary Committee members. The Sun Dormitory Mother had assumed Kianna was no longer boarding there because, she found it cheaper on tuition fees to live with relatives in the nearby town. This conclusion seemed logical, thus no one from the Day Class questioned it further.
Nothing this, it was obvious why Zero was questioning her. The evidence was sudden and it didn't make much sense to him as to how a Day Class Student became close with the Night Class. Even if Kianna wanted to confess her whereabouts to Zero, there was no time to do it. The boy was always wandering off on his own, busy attending to his duties, running errands, or catching up on sleep during class. The same applied to Yuki.
"Again, that's my business". Kianna huffed.
By this point, Zero was gritting his teeth in anger and his hands were clenched at his sides. This was against everything he stood for as a vampire hunter. To Zero, humans and vampires should never mix. Thus, it's his responsibility as a hunter to keep humans safe. "Vampires are just blood suckers. They don't have emotions. They don’t care about anyone but themselves. They only think about blood. Shiki is only manipulating you. He may act like he loves you, but he's only doing that to get close to you. To vampires, humans are food and playthings. Once Shiki is bored with you, he'll toss you aside... and kill you". Zero stated in a stern tone.
"My relationship with Senri is consensual". Kianna argued. Beyond that, she didn't want to reveal anything too intimate about her relationship with Senri. She didn't want to make Zero angrier, nor did she want to impose on her Darling's privacy either.
"Right..." Zero sarcastically stated. "I would back out of this before it's too late... if he comes for you, I won't hesitate to kill him". He warned.
It was a little late for that. The last time Senri drank from her, Kianna simply ensured her uniform collar was high enough to conceal her Darling's bite marks. Outside of school, she adorned various vintage chokers and victorian collars. "According to Kaname, my relationship with Senri is an exception in the vamperic world". Kianna sternly replied.
"I don't care". Zero concluded.

Hi there! For the prompt thing, 53 "Sit down. I'll get it" Lena to Kara please? I love your work so much!!
53. Sit down. I’ll get it.
It’s not every day she gets a text from Alex.
Winn texts her constantly. A varying degree of actual sentences to simply a series of exclamation and question marks that she’s not quite sure how to reply to.
James will send pictures from time to time. Beautiful ones of the sky. Of red and blue blurs. Of Kara trying to shove far too much food in her mouth. All with the skill of a professional camera despite being on his phone.
She tries to reciprocate, tilting her phone this way and that to get that angle, the one that perfectly captures the sheen of her latest invention or how the sun pours in from her balcony. She’ll only have to wait a minute before she gets a text of getting better, tilt a little to the left and you got it.
The group chat they’re all in is a complete mess. She’s yet to decipher one word from the seemingly separate conversation Kara and Winn have. Maggie sends videos of her throwing crumbled up paper balls in the trash from her desk, on the receiving end of boos from the officers when she misses.
(It’s so unusual.
For her phone to be blowing up with notifications. Expecting to see stock info or investors or Jess or meetings being changed, but then it’s Winn beside a statue, arm thrown carelessly around it, and i’ve?? found someone.
It’s a never-ending barrage of texts that only makes her smile, clutch the phone a little tighter to her chest, pull it closer, because oh, this is what it’s like.
To have people eager to talk to her. To Lena, not a Luthor, not the Lena Luthor. Just Lena with her friends and family.
It’s exhilarating and lovely and she’s never bothered to before, but it’s a new experience picking out ringtones that have to suit every single one of her friends.)
But Alex? Alex is short, clipped messages that are few and far between. Something she’s now come to know as more of Alex’s personality than a dislike of her.
So when she sees Alex’s name light up on her phone, she snatches it from nightstand. Rubs her eyes when all she can make out is slight blurs and holds it closer to her face. Fingers tapping quickly along the screen and-
She’s fine
She says she’s dandy. That’s a stupid wor nO IT’S NOT
Sorry. Can you come over?
Lena’s knocking on Kara’s door in record time.
(She doesn’t entirely remember the drive over.
Only remembers the radio as hosts contemplated what they thought happened after Supergirl dropped to her knees during a fight. Where the alien went after it fled, black vans screeching after it. How that had happened hours ago during the night and it being long past in the morning where there would usually be sights of Supergirl flying off to save the day.
Only remembers pressing her foot down.)
Alex opens the door. Eyes roving over her before squinting. “You sped.”
“Just the five miles everyone does.”
Her eyes narrow that much more. “Liar.” She’s tugged in as Alex holds up a finger and makes a shushing noise. “I told you she was fine. Be careful next time.”
Lena nods. She wants to look down at her feet, avoid Alex’s eyes, because there’s an overwhelming concern she finds there at every glance. “Sorry.” She’s not, because Kara, Kara was- she’s not sure, but it was enough to have Alex texting her and that’s enough to break any law, to dismiss any self preservation. From the sigh Alex lets out after she speaks, it’s clear Alex knows as much. “Where’s-”
“Asleep.” Alex tilts her head, and Lena follows the motion. The covers on Kara’s bed are drawn up, wrapped in a ball, and she can barely make out a splash of blonde against the pillows.
“What happened?”
“She solar flared during the fight.” Alex huffs, stomps her foot down in a way that makes her think of Kara. It draws her eyes back to Kara, an ache rising up to go over and make sure she’s okay, to get that silly little smile Kara always gives her in the mornings. “I told her not to. We’ve been chasing it down for weeks, and I know she was tired.”
Fear slips down her back, cold and sharp. “Did she-”
“She’s fine.” Alex rolls her eyes and elbows her out of the way from the fridge with a little grin. “Like I said if you listened for once. The fight was over after she did it. No hits. The alien ran off.” Alex grabs her hand, gives it a tight squeeze. “She’s fine,” she repeats, more firmly than the last.
“I’ve got to go to work though. We’re still trying to find the alien. Can you?”
“Of course.” Lena allows herself a deep breath, feels the fear loosening and easing the pressure on her chest. Kara shifts for a moment, throws her arms around until her hand flops over the edge of the bed.
Something settles at that, has her breath coming easier at the sight. Quiet and warm, she lets it sift through her until-
Kara coughs.
Lena snaps her attention back to Alex. Alex winces, pops up on the balls of her feet with a low whistle. “Right. She’s a little sick.”
That has the pressure slamming right back down, because oh, she doesn’t know what to do.
She’s bad at taking care of people.
(Her track record proves that in any case.
She fails people, those she loves even more so. That everyone leaves, one way or another. Her failures becoming a lengthening list of people she used to know.
Her mother. Her father. Lex.)
“Is there a- a list or-”
“A list?” Alex looks like she’s about to laugh, eyes bright and crinkling until it falls away. “What are you talking about?”
She takes a step away, away from the worry Alex is showing, away from the hand curling around her elbow. “I don’t-” The words fall short in her mouth, heavy and thick. She shrugs. “What do I do?”
“Well what do you usually do when you get sick?”
She frowns. “I don’t.”
“I know for a fact Kara took care of you last time you were sick. She kept calling and bothering me about it.”
Lena goes to protest, because she doesn’t. Luthors don’t- she doesn’t have time for sickness. It’s a distraction, a waste of time.
But then she remembers her throat itching, coughs tearing free against her efforts to keep it quiet. Remembers Kara’s quiet voice as she appeared on her doorstep, bags full of enough soup and crackers that Lena ate off of it for a week after.
“Oh.”
“Yeah, oh.”
“I didn’t-” She stops, presses further. “Why was Kara calling you about it?”
“You mean besides the other doctors at the DEO refusing to take you in for a cold?” Lena scrunches up her nose at that. Being sick is bad enough but going to basically a hospital. Never. Alex laughs. “I know right?” Alex hums, finger tapping against the counter as she bumps their shoulders together. “Kara kept calling to ask what you needed. You’re not the only one who doesn’t know what to do.”
A rush of affection flows through her, because of course, of course Kara would. Her mind fills of Kara relentlessly pursuing the DEO agents with questions. Of Kara staring, confused and uncertain, at the medication isle and suddenly understands why she now hows gummy vitamins in her cabinet.
She thinks of Kara trying.
She tips up her jaw. “You can go to work.”
“You good?” Alex is already gathering her things as she nods. Snakes a hand around her shoulders to give her a brief hug. “Call me if you need anything. It’s not against the rules or anything to ask for help, you know?”
She leans into it, tries to press every ounce of gratitude she feels into it.
“Thank you.”
Lena looks up from her tablet when the hand in hers tightens. She straightens up in the chair, thinking she should have dragged one more comfortable to Kara’s bed than this one.
Kara blinks up at her, smile slowly coming across her face as she tangles their fingers together. “Hi.”
“Hi.” Lena hunches over, elbows pressed against her knees so she can reach over and slip her fingers through Kara’s hair. “How are you feeling?”
“Lousy.” Kara coughs, groaning when it’s over and turns her face into the pillow. “I’m sorry Alex bothered you. I told her I didn’t need a babysitter.”
“It wasn’t a bother.” She twists her fingers in Kara’s hair, notices the way Kara leans into her hand and keeps her motions steady. “I’m glad she got me. I want to be here.”
“I’m sick.” It’s said almost as warning before it comes out more of a whine. Kara drops her hand to press both of hers- hands clenched into fists- against her face.
“I know.”
“It’s gross.”
“A little.” Kara snorts, a breathy laugh that she answers with a smile. She bends over to press a kiss against Kara’s head, feels hands settle at her back to keep her there. “Can I lie down with you?”
“You could get sick.” It’s not a no though, and Kara doesn’t offer much resistance past that, holding up the covers as she settles down beside her.
(This is something she knows to do.
Remembers Kara pulling her against her, fingers softly working through her hair before she fell asleep.
It’ll be worth it if she does, because Kara, who’s all warm hugs and easy touches, deserves the only small comfort she can give her.)
“That’s alright.”
Her day is spent dozing and getting Kara to take medicine. Or trying. She turns her face up at it, gags on any pills she gives her.
It’s ridiculous, and she wishes everyone knew how Supergirl acts like a baby when she’s sick.
Mostly though, she keeps Kara against her, sleepy and warm.
(Alex had failed to mention how clumsy Kara is without her powers. How she trips over dips and dents in the floor and mumbles how she usually floats over them. How there’s bandaids over her fingers, because Kara keeps getting paper cuts and dropping glasses.
It’s best for everyone, she thinks, when she tells Kara to just sit down, I’ll get it.)
Kara tucks her head under her chin, fingers twisting into her shirt. “Love you.”
She runs her hands down Kara’s back, hand coming back up to run her fingers through Kara’s hair. “I love you too.” She’s not sure if it’s heard in between Kara’s sleepy murmurs, but Kara’s grip tightens.
It’s quiet, slow and deep breaths until Kara falls asleep, coughing and sweaty against her. It’s uncomfortable, but Kara smiles in her sleep, shuffling closer, and she can’t think of anywhere else she’d rather be.
Later on, when Alex steps silently through the door, she takes a long look at both of them and smiles. One so happy and proud that Lena can do nothing but return it.
