Had a great long run yesterday!

While out, I was reflecting on some things…mainly in how it has been the running and triathlon community that has always reached out their hands to pull myself up and forward instead of letting myself give up like I wanted to in the past.

Thankful for everyone I have met on my fitness journey and excited to see where my next adventure takes me.

More than anything though, I can feel that this will be the year I complete a full Ironman 140.6. While I haven’t signed up for anything, I’ve been thinking about it for weeks. And I want to do it. I’ve already been to hell and back, so what’s an Ironman to stop me?

It’ll be exciting to see what this year hold!

Today is medal monday and what better to celebrate it with? An ironman medal. 🏅🏅🏅 for the first time, I did not feel defeated. I actually was racing rather than just surviving. Finished the Ironman Journey (2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike and 26.2 mile run)in 14:52. This was a big improvement from my IM Arizona in 2019 where i barely made the cut off at 16:55. I am so grateful to the Almighty, to my family and friends, who believed in me, to all the volunteers in #maryland , you are so INCREDIBLE!!! I appreciate all your cheers and encouragement in the entire race. Its party on the streets!!! 🎊🎉🧨🎉🎊 which included the residents!! Some folks even offered a charging station for sherpas! That is how accomodating the people of #Cambridge are. Lastly, i express my heartfelt gratitude to the teams i am a part of namely @blueseventy @maunaendurance @surphyto @nuunhydration I strongly recommend @ironmanmaryland to those who have not done it yet.
