So the timeline I live on as an Ironstrange shipper is that Tony and Stephen are gay and have been on and off dating for a while (they met at some gala or place rich types with egos converge).
After Afghanistan things get a bit more serious as Stephen realises he could have lost Tony and Tony realises how much Stephen does for him.
Tony is all set to propose after events of Ironman 3 but then Stephen has his accident and pushes Tony away and eventually goes on his Dr Strange journey.
This is why he's not around for Ultron and Tony is throwing himself into work and creating Ultron.
Next they meet is when Stephen senses something is very wrong with Tony (since getting powers he's been keeping tabs on the man he loves) and his life force is slipping.
Stephen is the one that finds Tony in Siberia and helps him back to health while gaining a healthy amount of animosity towards Steve.
They start to rekindle things and Tony Proposes at the end of Spiderman Homecoming.
Now they have time to get ready for threat of Thanos in a way that Tony doesn't die ( some kind of soul linking, life energy sharing magic Stephen uses after Tony does his snap). Though at beginning of Infinitey War they are having a bit of a spat about the venue for the wedding which is why Tony is out running with Pepper venting and Stephen is being all extra. But during the journey to space they patch things up.
Tony is devastated by the snap but knows there's an endgame and has faith his choices will lead to restoring the snap and saving the day like Stephen told him. Which of course everything works out and we get a wedding instead of a funeral.
Sometimes there's variations on this headcanon but it's my main Ironstrange one.

This is how Tony lets the world know that he married Stephen. Not to worry, their friends were there to witness the wedding.
Imagine Thor being happy as the flower girl/boy. Peter was the ringbearer. All the other Avengers are part of the wedding crew either as security, officiating the wedding, or part of the main crew like groomsmen but doubled or something. Pepper as the matron of honor and matron for her since she married Happy. Rhodey, I feel like I would share duties with Pepper since they've been friends with Tony the longest, like they were the OG trio.

You’ve got me obsessed with the concept nanny!Stephen. If you ever want to share any headcanons about it, I’d love to hear them 😊 if you ever wrote a fic I’d be there in a heartbeat
Nanny!Stephen is such an obvious AU to me.
Stephen is broke after the accident, without a job and about to lose his apartment.
He’s on his way back from one of his physio appointments when he hears something in a dark alley and finds a kid of 14 with bruises all over his left arm and torso.
The kid clearly needs help but pretends he’s OK, clearly not wanting to make a big deal out of it, and mentions that going to a doctor would just mean his dad finds out about the bruises which he really doesn’t want.
Stephen takes that to mean that the kid’s dad is the one that did this to him or is just generally an asshole, but after the kid keeps refusing to get help, Stephen takes him to a pharmacy and patches him up himself (with much difficulty due to his hands but he manages).
The boy offers to pay him for the trouble, but besides letting him pay the pharmacy bill, Stephen doesn’t take anything.
Stephen insists on dropping Peter off at home because he’s limping due to a sprained ankle, and to make sure he gets home safe.
Peter only allows him to because Stephen promises not to say anything and to let Peter tell his dad he simply got the sprain by ‘tripping on the sidewalk’.
It’s there that Stephen meets Tony for the first time, and has to rewrite his opinion on the man, who is not only clearly decent, but also a concerned and loving father, though admittedly, a little absent-minded and distracted by work.
Picture that scene from the Nanny where Fran walks into the house for the first time, and in the background Grace is chasing Brighton around except it’s 5yo America chasing 8yo Harley.
Peter is hanging off of Stephen’s shoulder for balance, and before Stephen can introduce himself to Tony, Peter cuts in and says he only bumped into Stephen on the doorstep and that Stephen is here to apply for the nanny position (which Peter does NOT need because he’s a big kid but if it’s Stephen at least it will be somewhat-bearable).
This is news to Stephen, and he’s clearly caught off-guard, but Peter quickly - subtly - rattles off the job-description and perks and Stephen has to think twice before setting the record straight and insisting that he’s NOT a nanny.
Tony looks him over and clearly believes this to be a shame, but he’s too busy to talk much so he simply thanks Stephen and sends him on his way.
Except, Stephen is really broke, and in a week or two he won’t even have a place to live. He’s too stubborn to rely on friends for help, obviously, and the position was live-in, which meant that not only would he get paid, he’d get room and board.
Besides, how hard could nanny-ing be? Surely the children would be at school most of the time.
So Stephen returns to the house and applies properly this time.
He gets the job due to his medical training (and lack of other response) despite not having any experience in childcare, and he moves into the house later that week.
He rarely sees Tony at first, because he’s always working either in the lab or at the company, but they clash often during that time, mostly due to Tony’s protective streak.
Peter is growing up, and fighting for more freedom, but Tony doesn’t want him to get hurt and thinks he’s too young to be out in the city alone. Stephen meanwhile understands that Peter should get more liberty to spend time with friends and not fall behind in social aspects of his life.
Basically they’re both very opinionated and not afraid to fight for them. Of course this also causes a lot of - mostly sexual - tension.
Tony definitely realizes Stephen is a LOT of work for a nanny and he’d probably be better off just finding someone who does follow orders, but he also can’t help respect Stephen for daring to speak out against him. (and he’s hot)
Basically Tony is stuck and horny.
Meanwhile the children LOVE Stephen just because he goes against Tony and introduces new perspectives into their lives.
America is very serious and mature for a 5yo (kind of like grace) except around Stephen she becomes a darling. Stephen may be a bitch but he’s weak for tiny little girls with puppy dog eyes. Basically Stephen and America are a lot alike and they immediately hit it off. Because she’s also a huge bitch at heart and can get whatever she wants because literally no one can say no to her.
Except for Tony that man is immune.
The only one that has this man wrapped around his little finger is Harley.
Contrary: Stephen is weak for America and Peter (as mentioned) but Harley can’t get SHIT past him.
Now back to Tony and Stephen.
There’s a LOT - and i mean a LOT - of tense kitchen scenes early in the morning or late at night or in the middle of the day where they bump into each other and are the only ones in the room and kind of have to hold soft conversations on their own without making it too obvious that they’re flustered and turned-on by the other.
Alternatively, post-argument close-up eye contact because they got too close into each other’s space while yelling at each other.

Fanfic idea, julsuniverse!MoM: Stephen and Tony have been together for a while. After Endgame where p*pp*r died instead of Tony, he, destroyed by the loss moves himself and Morgan in the Sanctum and then he starts to develop feelings toward Stephen. Meanwhile MoM happens but Christine is just Stephen’s BF in Earth616 (in the other universes they are together because palmerstrange is so pure!) and when America arrives she’s so surprised that things there are different.
However, as things go on Christine tells Stephen Earth838 Stephen’s has a daughter. After they killed him, she decided to take her in but when the Illuminati told her they’d brought Stephen in she decided to take the girl with her. So this daughter is Sofia who ends up being throw around when they arrived to the Book of Vishanti. She doesn’t get pushed to Sinister Strange Universe, but goes back with America to Earth 616.
At the end of the movie, Stephen and Tony adopt both girls and they are a happy family.
