it's so bleak how fans are taking this lovely moment of taylor and beyonce supporting each other and still managing to twist it to make it about a man with all their terrible takes about how she's doing it in london to be petty and to show joe what he's missing out on. it's becoming more obvious that so many fans think the most interesting and noteworthy thing about taylor is her relationships and it really just makes the fandom way less enjoyable because it can never be about just her and her music :/

no you're so right. beyonce went to taylors premiere and taylor has the time to return the favor, but no its never simple and straightforward. everything needs a reason and that reason needs to fuel the fan-made fire they've written her personal life to be. a man has to be the leading cause of all of this, they are the reason behind every action she takes. and the reason coincides with the most recency biases they have towards the men in her life. shes in london? to get back at joe. she's smiling? thats because of travis. she's sad during a song? she's upset about joe shes still healing. she's mad? what did joe do?? swifties internalized misogyny has been so highlighted recently with how obsessive they are, especially the reasons they seem to love her current relationship. the amount of times i've seen swifties say something along the lines of 'now shes with a real man'... is so disturbing... i thought we moved passed this in 2023 and were embarrassed by this traditional gender roles nonsense... its all just so overwhelming and disturbing

talking of the post AOTY slump I'm curious of your thoughts on star crossed by kacey? personally I love few songs but found it overall quite underwhelming which I think wasn't helped by golden hour being one of my favourite albums ever

i totally agree like there are definitely some really great songs (“camera roll,” “star crossed,” “good wife,” and “breadwinner” are standouts) but the rest of the album is quite underwhelming

also for how hyped people were about this album (because of her unfortunate divorce) i think people had high hopes after golden hour AND a tumultuous personal life event and it wasn’t really delivering

i would also rank star crossed below the rest of her albums (including pageant queen and same trailer different park) - it’s no golden hour but it’s not even as good as her other albums

hoping that she releases new music soon! i think she’s kinda back in her golden hour era (i.e. very in love with her boyfriend cole) so 🤞🤞 romantic music coming soon

13. Where or from whom did you learn how to gif

i learned using various tutorials on tumblr! the basic ones that show you all the gifmaking steps and programs involved are so so helpful and i can't recommend them enough to beginners

34. A set that took you a long time/was really hard but you’re really proud of how it came out

this buddie + out of the woods set took me about two weeks on and off i wanna say? i was trying out some new styles instead of just blending everything which is usually my go-to. in some ways this was easier than blending but also just took a long time bc of the sheer number of individual gifs involved. but i'm so so happy with how it turned out!!

40. Why do you make gifs

i started using photoshop in late 2015 because i wanted to join fandom events and gift exchanges, and i started out with simple photosets and graphics. but then i was like hmm why stop there and why not try giffing because i was obsessed with all the pretty gifs i saw on my dash and wanted to try my hand at making them too. i've had periods where i didn't gif for a long time bc of no motivation or technical issues with photoshop/downloads but now i'm at a place where i'm motivated and inspired (and the 911 fandom has so many inspiring gifmakers and creators!!) so i gif as a creative outlet and bc the ideas plague me until i make them 😅 i'm obsessed with all the pretty gifs that people make and it feels good to create something that you love seeing!
