I don’t know about you but I think Arthur fleck should be getting more love so I’m going to request Hcs about what would happen if his partner were kidnapped or threatened? I imagine when he became joker, a lot more people wanted to kill him so they would use his S/O as leverage over him. Love your writing and thanks for considering this 💜

Arthur

Arthur held you near and dear to his heart was was always an odd sort of possessive over you, even before his rebranding. It's very safe to say that if you did end up being kidnapped by some means before he made his decision to become the Joker it would only push him to making that decision much faster

However, not many people messed with Arthur besides verbal spats and the occasional physical alteration while he was alone, but that was about it. Although his upbringing after the events of the Murray show would cast a lot more public eye on him

While a lot of people sided with his experiences and demands, there was an equal amount of higher ups who wanted him gone. Arthur was hard to get ahold of after this, but you were a much easier target for them to lure him out of his constant hiding and reappearing. It would be faster to trap him if they had you

Once you're gone its just another inconvenience that the world has hit him with. He never thought he'd let himself feel so defeated again after his transformation until they had you, and it drove him into a deeper spiral of chaos

It was bound to happen at some point, which he thought sadly when he was still weak Arthur. The world had nothing in store for him so why would it give him something as precious as you? Once he grew out of his shell he only knew that those chances rose

He calls out a quiet search for you at first with everyone who has every participated or supported him publicly but will rapidly switch too an aggressive public outrage looking for you

You'd be found fast, of course, he wouldn't let you stay more than 48 hours without him (more so him without you). Arthur would have absolutely no remorse deciding the fate of you had done it to you, and would personally fix it himself

"Simple" threats don't happen to often, at least none that are made apparent with you. Arthur is likely the first to see or hear if someone had made a comment about you and keeps it to himself to not scare you. As long as he actively has eyes and ears on you their threats mean absolutely nothing

Song Review: Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway - “San Joaquin” (Live in Studio)

Making their bluegrass instruments mimic a train, Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway are heading down the line to sell some weed in “San Joaquin.”

A Tuttle/Ketch Secor co-write, the high-test track follows “El Dorado” and “Next Rodeo” from City of Gold, out July 21.

The track burns down the track in three minutes, leaving just enough time for solos from Tuttle’s axe, Bronwyn Keith-Hynes’ fiddle, Dominick Leslie’s mandolin, Kyle Tuttle’s banjo and Shelby Means’ upright bass as Tuttle sings the smuggler’s story:

Riding on the San Joaquin/bringing in some Humboldt green … /when I get to Richmond I’ll be gold/soon as this suitcase is sold/’til then I’m rolling down the line/just looking for the next high time/riding on the San Joaquin

“San Joaquin” is not a lyrical masterpiece. But the music is mighty.
