tw: alcoholism mention
While visiting my parents, dad stumbled in to talk to me. He often brings up how he really didn't have a good time in school because he asked too many questions and didn't understand why things were the way they were (the man is 100000% the one who gave me autism). So yesterday's drunk rant from him was the fact in church he was constantly in trouble for questioning the gaps in logic and hypocrisy they were teaching. Noah's ark was his big focus.
"You're telling me. Noah, who took 40 years to walk from Cairo to Jeruselem, single handedly gathered all the animals before a flood in time? And then the polar bears???? 2 polar bears made it through the scorching middle east heat. They walked down that mountain where the ark got stuck, through Türkiye, with no food because the ecosystem only has single breeding pairs of animals, and made it. And the penguins-"
And the whole time I was just thinking.... man. Do I have a book by Gaiman and Pratchett you would like. Shame I can never share it with you.

Good Morning!☀️
Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. Mark 11:24
As a master teacher, Jesus often used situations as object lessons for his disciples and followers. On his way into Jeruselem, Jesus had cursed a fruitless fig tree. The next day, Peter noticed it had withered and pointed that out to Jesus. Jesus used this occasion to teach on the power of believing when praying. He stated that if spoken with faith, they could command a mountain to be cast into the sea, and it would happen.
One reason many people prayers are not answered is because of lack of faith. They fail to believe they will receive what they have asked for. If you can believe, anything is possible:
Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. Mark 9:23
Believe that you will receive, and you will!

A-T-3 292 Jim Capaldi - Don't Let Them Control You
Evesham, good charity shop run, old abbey, Simon De Montford died there, Jim Capaldi was born there
I'm reading Alan Moore's love letter to Northampton (50ish miles east of Evesham,) his novel Jeruselem. I'm enjoying it a lot but it's Moores mention of the Second Baron's War which one side was led by the complicated (downright racist French born why is there a university named after him) Simon De Montford against King Henry III which I've read a little bit about and has led me to take some of the other details (historical or not - like Moore claiming Northampton as the centre of England, it's part of the middle for sure but it's way off the centre) with a pinch of salt
Anyhow, Jim Capaldi and Dave Mason befriended Steve Winwood whilst Spencer Davis Group and Capaldi/Mason's group The Hellions were playing in Hamburg, Germany. Winwood, Capaldi, Mason would jam after hours back at the Elbow Room in brum and this became Traffic. These guys were the main writers for Traffic
Don't Let Them Control You is from Capaldi's eighth solo studio album Fierce Heart which saw his return to commercial success in the US. Fierce Heart is dedicated to Rebop Kwaku Baah who was also in Traffic and later Can and Dunkelziffer, he'd sadly passed away in January 1983

THE TRUTH ABOUT ISREALI NATION AND JERUSELEM, THE ROYAL DAVID’S CITY.
THE TRUTH ABOUT ISREALI NATION AND JERUSELEM, THE ROYAL DAVID’S CITY.
Israelites of old and Israelis of the modern times are God’s own people (Psalm 8:3, Numbers10:10). Jerusalem, a city built by King David was named “David City” (2 Samuel 5:6-9). Enemies of God took crafty counsels together and formed a confederacy against Israel, to wipe it off the face of the earth and be remembered no more. Even the children of Lot joined them (Psalm 83:2-8)It has to be…

Israeli forces are throwing grenades at ambulances trying to reach the injured in Jerusalem.
This is beyond evil and a war crime under international law.
Share and reshare this video to ensure the world is aware of the crimes against humanity being committed by apartheid Israel.

All of you people are stupid believing lies about Israel while I am hiding in a shelter with my 7yo brother. Living in fear everyday that a terrorist will kill you. Going out of state and fearing to talk in Hebrew in case there is a Antisemitic that'll decide to abuse and hurt us because of it.
We aren't killing anyone! The IDF protect Israelis and Palestinian! Hamas are those who hide rockets in children's bedrooms, hospitals, schools and many more. They launch rockets from civilian land where they are not safe! Using babies as protection because they know we will never hurt innocent babies. they have been firing over 500 rockets in the past 2 days all around Israel and by doing that they're killing and hurting Israelis and Palestinian. If hamas the huge amount of money they spent on this would've been spent on making Palestine civilians lives better it would make a huge difference in their life style and quality!
Its sad to see big creators supporting stuff that is not correct. Their opinions are based on lies and stuff that they haven't been educated about!
Here are some better explanations than mine;
There is so much more but this is the basic
Please we just want peace and for innocent peoples lives not go to waste!

There is a lot going around about what is happening in Jerusalem, and while I am no where near an expert on the conflict, I will offer my pov as an American Jew.
To start: I support Palestinians. It is cruel and inhumane to force people from their homes and into the homes of oppressors. However, the exact same can be said for Israel.
Following WWII, hundreds of thousands of Jews were left homeless and penniless. Their homes had been destroyed, they had been separated from their families. They quite literally had nothing except the people they were next to, and an insurmountable amount of pain and trauma and uncertainty. Following WWII, these Jews were refugees. The only places left to go were Allied camps in a defeated Axis territories.
Throughout the war and after, the Allied powers did not want to deal with these refugees (see SS St.Louis). They had freed them, but only as an after thought. They didn’t fight WWII for the Jews, they didn’t give a shit about the Jews. So America passed legislation severely limiting the number of immigrants from Europe (it was almost exclusively used to prevent Jews from imitating). Meanwhile, Britain, France and the rest of Europe were in shambles having been the fighting grounds of the war.
So what to do with these enormous amounts of refugees who conveniently have been trying to get back into their holy land since they were kicked out ~2,000 years ago? Let them back into their holy land, which Britain just so happened to own. However when making this decision Britain and the UN “forgot” that there were people already there. So Britain drafts up an intentionally vague declaration saying the Jewish refugees are going to live in the Palestine Mandate.
What follows is a complicated war with a lot of grey area, but the main idea is this: some Jews wanted to live in the Palestine Mandate. Some Palestinians did not want Jews in the Palestine mandate because they would have to be nice to the Jews (who they saw as foreign invaders) and let them see their holy sights. Commence, war. In the end the Jews somehow win and get a bunch of land and the surrounding Arab countries are pissed and vow to never recognize the existence of Israel. During this conflict Britain also breaks pretty much every promise they made to both Jews and Arabs causing a huge mess each side blamed the other for.
This brings us to today when Israel has given some of the lands the won back to the original owners in exchange for recognition and peace (kind of). What is important to note is that during this whole process, Jews were facing antisemitism and fleeing to Israel. The war itself caused a huge surge of antisemitism in the east and several surrounding Arab nations kicked/forced out their Jewish populations. These Jews then went to the closest (and pretty much only) safe place for Jews: Israel.
And remember how at the end of WWII Jews were prevented from entering most of Europe, well one of the few countries who did welcome Jews was Russia. This of course caused problems when Russia -> USSR and religion became a bad thing again. Simultaneously, the USSR was blaming Jews for capitalism, and the USA was blaming Jews for communism. The USSR persecuted Jews via the KGB and generally making being Jewish illegal. The USA persecuted Jews via the CIA and making being Jewish treason (because. . . National security?). So here we have a whole new batch of Jews being persecuted who really would just like to be aloud to live their life without fear of persecution. The solution: Israel is giving citizenship to Jews all around the world so they can escape antisemitism.
All right, I think that is enough backstory. All of this is to say: Israel is important to the existence of Judaism and the Jewish people. There has literally never been a time when Jews weren’t being kicked out of some country or another. These Jews would leave for a country not persecuting Jews, only to be kicked out a few decades later. To Jews, Israel was revolutionary. There was finally a place they could go where they wouldn’t have to worry about being kicked out. Even in the middle of war, Jews flocked to Israel because if they won, they could finally call a place home. They would no longer be an other.
I call myself a Zionist because I fear what a world without Israel would look like. I fear for my Jewish siblings around the world facing much worse antisemitism than me. I fear the “anti Zionist” movement and how quickly I have see it turn to outright antisemitism. I full stop support Palestinian self-determination. But I have to support them from the Zionist side of the fence.
I fear that letting go of the title “Zionist” will also let go of the people who need Israel to exist. I fear it will erase the history of oppression Jews are already struggling to keep alive. I fear the increase in antisemitic hate crimes every time Israel makes the news. I fear wearing my kippah or Magen David outside because I don’t want to be next.
I dream of a land of milk and honey. A land where I no longer have to fear being Jewish. A land where I don’t have to fight to get even the most basic holidays off. A land where Jewish celebration can be public. A land where the streets can be lined with parades for Rosh Hashanah. A land where I can take off the holiest day of the year. A land where my synagogue doesn’t have to hire extra security around Chanukah. A land where I no longer am numb to the brutalization of my people. A land where 2% of the population doesn’t make up more than 50% of all religiously motivated hate crimes.
Above all, I want a land where I know I am safe.
TL;DR: People hate Jews. We just want to exist without fear.

And We decreed for the Children of Israel in the Scripture, that indeed you would do mischief on the earth twice and you will become tyrants and extremely arrogant! [17:4]
𝙎𝙥𝙚𝙖𝙠 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙅𝙪𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙘𝙚 [33:70]
How often do we catch ourselves questioning the effects of speaking up for the oppressed ones?
Will it bring change? What is the purpose of speaking up even?
Allah says:
"𝙊 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙬𝙝𝙤 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙗𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙙, 𝙛𝙚𝙖𝙧 𝘼𝙡𝙡𝙖𝙝 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙨𝙥𝙚𝙖𝙠 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙙𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙖𝙥𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙥𝙧𝙞𝙖𝙩𝙚 𝙟𝙪𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙘𝙚 (70). (𝙏𝙝𝙚𝙣) 𝙃𝙚 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙢𝙖𝙠𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙙𝙚𝙚𝙙𝙨 𝙧𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩𝙚𝙤𝙪𝙨 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙮𝙤𝙪, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙃𝙚 𝙒𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙜𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙨 ; 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙬𝙝𝙤𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧 𝙤𝙗𝙚𝙮𝙨 𝘼𝙡𝙡𝙖𝙝 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙃𝙞𝙨 𝙈𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙚𝙣𝙜𝙚𝙧 𝙝𝙖𝙨 𝙘𝙚𝙧𝙩𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙡𝙮 𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙙 𝙖 𝙜𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩 𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 (71)“ [33:70/71]
All people instinctively crave justice for themselves and despise being oppressed. In spite of this, far too many people treat other people unjustly. Too many people fail to be offended when injustice is committed against their fellow human beings.
If we Muslims understood how important justice is to the objectives and purposes of Islam, then the first quality of religiousness that would appear in a person who has renewed his commitment to his faith would be that the person would act justly.
Likewise, if we Muslims realized how despicable and horrible oppression in Islam is, then we would be quicker with reactions and repentance than many other sins we shed so many tears about.
Unfortunately, many Muslims’ understanding of Islam is focused only on the rights their Lord has over them, and is blind to the rights of their fellow human beings.
We as normal citizens can’t overthrow any oppressing regimes but Allah blessed us all with a voice to speak up. Keeping quiet equals oppression as well and we will all be questioned about our actions on the Day of Judgement.
X---------------------------------------------------X
"𝙊 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙬𝙝𝙤 𝙗𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙚𝙫𝙚! 𝙎𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙛𝙞𝙧𝙢𝙡𝙮 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝘼𝙡𝙡𝙖𝙝, 𝙖𝙨 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙚𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝙛𝙖𝙞𝙧 𝙙𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙡𝙚𝙩 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙝𝙖𝙩𝙧𝙚𝙙 𝙤𝙛 𝙤𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙢𝙖𝙠𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙨𝙬𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝙬𝙧𝙤𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙙𝙚𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙩 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙟𝙪𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙘𝙚. 𝘽𝙚 𝙟𝙪𝙨𝙩: 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙞𝙨 𝙣𝙚𝙭𝙩 𝙩𝙤 𝙥𝙞𝙚𝙩𝙮: 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙛𝙚𝙖𝙧 𝘼𝙡𝙡𝙖𝙝. 𝙁𝙤𝙧 𝘼𝙡𝙡𝙖𝙝 𝙞𝙨 𝙬𝙚𝙡𝙡-𝙖𝙘𝙦𝙪𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙙𝙤.”
[𝘼𝙡-𝙌𝙪𝙧'𝙖𝙣 5:8]
Justice is not required by love. We do not treat people justly because we like them or are related to them. If that were the case, there would be no need to command justice, since people are naturally just to those they favor. We need to be commanded with justice when dealing with those we have no favorable feelings towards.
Justice is required by nothing other than our shared humanity. We must be just towards all human beings, regardless of religion, race, ethnicity, or gender. Justice is the greatest means of ensuring human dignity and human rights. Justice is what people ask for and expect from each other, regardless of their affiliations, loyalties, affections, and prejudices.
