Not seeing many mention this, but I want to point something very important out about the new FNAF trailer especially, in case you haven't noticed...

You see these guys? This is not cgi. These are actually fully-created animatronics developed by the crew at Jim Henson's Creature Shop.

These things were purposefully designed to look as close as possible to their video game versions, and to be as absolutely unsettling as the well-known 90s animatronic versions of Chuck E. Cheese and the Rock-afire Explosion.

Clearly, they pulled this off phenomenally well for this film!

These designs are intricate while also staying very close to the original character designs seen in the games, which proves how dedicated the team behind this movie really is about making a true-to-itself FNAF film! Seeing the quality on display here in just this first official trailer gives me some very high hopes for what we'll get to see in the movie once it comes out this October!

Lukewarm take but like, if Undertale gets a movie in the wake of the inevitable rush of game adaptations thanks to Mario movie's blockbuster success, we can all agree they need to do it Dark Crystal-style, right?

As in like, if it's live-action, everyone needs to be a goddamn Jim Henson's Creature Shop-type puppet except Frisk.

Blumhouse should’ve gave me the script to write that FNAF movie. I really wish they made the movie R rated, because the franchise is supposed to be horrific, and the animatronics didn’t even pose much of a threat, they just looked adorable to see in live-action. Kudos to Jim Henson’s Creature Shop, they did their big one with the animatronics.

Also, I wish Markiplier was actually apart of it since FNAF basically helped in him getting so famous, as well as him getting the game super popular. But maybe in the sequel they’ll actually add him as an important character.

My most popular post rn is about the fnaf movie and I would like to just say I’m not like a fnaf fan or anything. I like it and I’m very excited for the movie but probably not for the same reason fans are. I’m excited for the movie because I love Jim Henson creature shop. As soon as I heard that they’d be involved I knew I had to see it just to watch those funky puppets in action. I like fnaf, but I love the muppets.

Girls don't want boyfriends, girls want a Jim Henson Last Unicorn movie

It's me, I'm girls.

OKAY BUT LISTEN, HEAR ME OUT! A puppetry mixed with humans film adaption of the book but in the style of Labyrinth. Have human actors as Schmendrick and Lír and Molly and Haggard and everyone. Maybe make Mommy Fortuna a mixed character like Hoggle - animatronic mask on a human actor, to make her look more ghastly and like the book describes her.

Then use puppets for the unicorns and the cat, the butterfly, the red bull and the animals at the Midnight Menagerie. Also, obviously, the talking tree, the skull and the dragons Lír fights. And obviously switch to a human actress when the last unicorn is turned human.

Just think about it for a moment. It would be so beautiful! They could either get the rights to cover the songs from the animated movie or create new ones, and just - gosh it could be so perfect! Obviously the animated movie is iconic and I am not sure if Christopher Lee as Haggard could ever be topped, but still - the wonders the people at Henson could do with this material!!! ...I really want this I cannot even express how much.

Hey look, the final part of my Christmas presents! 🥰

And the icing on the cake is that the animatronics were made by Jim Henson’s Creature shop, which makes the whole movie all the more special, especially after the crushing loss of the Dark Crystal Age of Resistance. It was so wonderful to see the behind the scenes footage and the puppeteers working their magic and seeing amazing practical effects being utilized and appreciated by so many people!

Catch you all on the flip side when FNAF 2 comes out…..or at least when the official announcement drops!

I miss the Puppet so I’m extremely excited for that particular character to make a comeback. It’s been so long…..too long!
