Peel My Orange?: Buster Bros!!

You ask him to peel an orange for you.

You ask him during an anime marathon with him. Ichiro would do it no questions asked.

Ichiro used to peel oranges for Jiro and Saburo when they were younger so it’s not suspicious when you ask him

He assumes you don’t like the rind getting under your nails or maybe the smell sticking isn't something you like

When he's finished, Ichiro hands the orange back to you with a big smile!

You watched in silent awe as he got up from his spot beside you to instead crouch beside his trash can. "Do you want me to pause the show?" You were already reaching for the remote with a frown.

"Nah, it's fine. I already watched the episode before you came over. I just wanted to watch it again with you." He assured you with a shake of his head as he peeled back the hard outer layer of the orange bit by bit. There were stringy remnants of the rind making its way under his nails and eventually he was finished. He returned to his seat beside you on the couch and held out the orange in the large palm of his hand. “Here, sorry it’s a little messy.” He apologized with a warm smile, appearing proud of his handy work. You accepted the orange and curled a finger for him to come closer. When he did, you rewarded him with a kiss to the cheek.

You ask him during lunch at school and he looked confused by the request. You don't honestly expect someone as rough as Jiro Yamada to peel an orange for anyone.

Girls are weird like that, coming up with these kinds of games to see the reactions they'll get from others.

He's not upset by it. Jiro assumes its one of those personality games he's seen online.

And why not just peel it? He doesn't mind, only because it's you.

Jiro stared at you with a frown as you made the request, holding the orange out to him with a hopeful look in your eyes. "Gimmie." He took the orange from you, the two of you sitting on the roof of the school as you watched him mutilate the rind of the orange. Pulling it apart roughly, nearly tearing away some of the outer white skin. "This is all you're eating today? You're gonna waste away..." He clicked his tongue sounding agitated as he continued to peel, haphazardly tossing the remains beside him. Before you knew it, Jiro dropped the orange back into your hand. He watched patiently with a blush forming on his cheeks as you sat with him and ate your orange, giving him a small thank you. You didn't actually expect him to peel it for you. "I bet it tastes better since I'm the one who peeled it!" He spoke proudly, and you nodded in response. He wasn't expecting you to agree...

The two of you ate together quietly, enjoying one another's company.

Saburo Yamada

You wanted to see how he would react! Hopefully he'll grow into a respectable adult like his older brother... But Saburo wonders if maybe… This is a test from Ichiro?!

There’s some hesitation since he doesn’t want to get the peel all over his keyboard so he opts to get up and crouch beside a garbage can to peel your orange.

He likes knowing that you wanted him to do it. It makes him feel reliable!

After this, he will be letting Jiro know that you asked HIM to peel your orange.

“You couldn’t peel this yourself? You’re so hopeless…” He comments under his breath, fighting back a smile. Saburo felt a swell of pride in his chest knowing you came to him instead of Jiro or Ichiro for such a mundane task. He takes your orange, and similarly to his older brother, crouches in front of a trash can to peel away the orange. But instead of peeling bit by bit, Saburo found an efficient way to peel the orange in an unusually neat spiral. "Is there a reason why you asked me to do this?" Saburo hasn't seen the trend, so he's genuinely curious. You respond by just saying you wanted him to do it. This seemed to make him happy! "Is that so? I see." He was happy he was facing the trash can. His smile was huge knowing that you wanted him to do it. Being the youngest of his brothers, he doesn't usually have many responsibilities from others. Since, they assume that he can't handle them. When he finished, he held the orange carefully and brought it to you in the palms of his hands. "I think I did a pretty good job." He beamed and you took the orange with a smile. Saburo needs to tell Jiro and rub it in his face. But first, he wants to admire you enjoying the orange.

added some headcanon about that Jiro's little guy:

1. Jiro refuses to name it because he doesn't want to get attached to it, anyhow he's the one who takes care of the little animal.

2. the little guy gets named 'Turtle' after all, someone in the safehouse insists it's a tortoise but the only response about this is 'shut up Houston'

💜🎧🎶 Kyouka Jiro aka Earphone Jack 🎶🎧💜

What a great weekend! Today I’m sharing with you all this sketchbook artwork I made of my favorite character from My Hero Academia, Jirou! I brought this page with me to Anime Washington up on Tacoma this last Saturday and had it signed by the absolutely lovely, sweetest human @trinanish, Jiro’s voice actress!

Thank you so much Trina for taking the time to geek out over Jiro with me, talk about cosplay, and my artwork!

This sketchbook spread was made with alcohol markers, white gel pen, brush liner pens, and a classic mechanical pencil! I’m working on getting some Jiro stickers in my Etsy shop, so keep an eye out! I’ll be posting the Denki Kaminari artwork I made that Kyle Phillips signed in the next couple days!
