You know, I think one of the coolest things about Trimax and how it ends is how unique the experience is to everyone, and how valid that is. I'm sick as a dog and hella groggy, so forgive me if I'm misremembering or my phrasing is weird, but I remember reading an interview where Nightow was asked whether Knives was alive or dead at the end of the manga. And he did give an answer, but he specified that was just his intention, and that everyone should walk away with their own opinion (something along those lines, I'm paraphrasing and cannot remember the source).

Nightow has also said that his intention with the ending was for it to be hopeful, but he would also later say that he was so incredibly burnt out and exhausted and that he would change some things if he could. I think you can read all of that in his work. So for me, my first (and thus-far only) readthrough left me with a distinct feeling of tragedy, exhaustion, and of cycles repeating. But everyone who walked away feeling hopeful and like the future is bright and infinite is also correct. And it really speaks to the deeply human nature of Trigun, and the way that its story speaks to us and our unique experiences and what life has taught us, I think. The song of humanity sings in all of us in all different ways.

Hey! How was everyone's Christmas? I hope it was good and pleasant ☕

I've been wanting to draw this for a while. The thing about Dranzer having healing powers and that's why we don't see Kai with scars. The thing is, what if she wasn't there anymore? I mean, there's that gaping at the end of 3rd season that opens up the idea that Dranzer is gone or something. I remember reading dozens of fanfics about it, but lately I've been thinking about it in terms of appearance, since Dranzer isn't there to heal him that quickly... Well, he doesn't look very good all bandaged up in the final episodes. And that dangerous cut on his right eye... I've really wanted to illustrate this for some time - especially the scar and the blind eye (⁠◕⁠ᴗ⁠◕⁠✿⁠)✧°.

The second thing was actually how I generally draw him. It mainly bothers me how the eyes aren't in the "canonical?" format... So I tried to draw it properly and man, for some reason it's hard lmao??

Bonus: the smirk, because he looks so outrageous in season three, more than usual. I don't know who came up with this idea, but thank you very much *reverence*

it seems you're really into others perception of your gain and how they view your body? could you elaborate on that

I *love* hearing how other people view my body - it makes me feel objectified (in a hot way) that people would just look at me and comment on me and judge me. Thinking about how I used to be perceived as hot and fit and conventionally attractive and how nowadays that has shifted into being perceived as a skinny fat girl or a fit girl who let herself go makes my brain melt. Knowing that the fit athletes I used to train with use me as motivation to stay fit so they don't look "like her" is so hot. Or knowing that someone from another country would see me as a stereotypical chubby American girl who can't stay away from fattening junk food. Or that friends from school see my more recent photos and may notice that I'm softer and more chubby than I used to be and maybe have the thought "wow I never thought *she* would let herself go like that." Or that my family may have noticed my lil spare tire over the holidays and didn't want to bring it up because they didn't want to hurt my feelings. Or that FAs are more attracted to me now BECAUSE I gained weight and got a chubby belly. Knowing that other people are looking at me, evaluating me, and judging me and that gaining weight can change that opinion of me flusters me to no end.
