GUYS. I have no idea who this player is, but was just looking to group up for a world boss. Turns out Kjoret might have a long lost brother.

Inktober Day 1
Guar
“Nobody beats me at Dragon’s Dice. Nobody,” Kjoret insisted.
“Then the five-claw must have never gambled with Khajiit. Or namely, a particularly handsome Khajiit.” Kjoret had no words for Razum-dar, only an eye roll.
They had met up in the Salted Wings Tavern, tired after accompanying Ayrenn to Tanzelwil and back earlier that day. The queen was off somewhere, surely dining on finer foods than what the tavern had to offer. Yet after spending such a long period of time traveling in the company of the queen’s brother and his wife, Kjoret and Razum-dar both required a stiff drink.
Kjoret brought her carved dragonbone dice, while Razum-dar had packed his moondeck of cards. He took the coins he had won after his last draw and reshuffled the deck.
“One last round, Raz, then I’m going to bed.”
“Well then this one shall raise the stakes, no?”
“Fine, but if I win, you’re telling me about that Argonian temple.”
“If Raz wins, this one keeps all the gold from the evening. Deal?” Previous times they had gambled, they had agreed to return each other’s gold and the loser would be the one to suffer through sitting on the other side of Naemon next time the royal family hosted dinner.
“Deal,” Kjoret agreed. She was confident in her ability to bluff, after all. Pulling two cards off the top of the deck, Kjoret displayed them so Razum-dar could see what she drew. “A half-moon and a waning crescent... Raz, I still have no idea what these cards mean.”
“Seven, walker. Half-moon is three and the waning crescent is four.”
Seven was an easy enough number to roll, Kjoret figured. There were plenty of combinations that totaled seven. She shook the pair of dice in one hand, cupping the other on the table to prevent Razum-dar from seeing what she had rolled.
“Seven,” she lied.
Razum-dar called Kjoret on her bluff, “This one has a nose for lies, five-claw.” He pulled her hand aside, revealing a five and a one facing up on the dice. Sweeping the gold he had collected into a coin purse, he finished, “And the story about Raz riding a guar naked through an Argonian temple waits until another day.”

Inktober Day 3
Khajiit
Kjoret held the door open for her wife to enter the small Rimmen shop. ‘Shop’ was likely the wrong term for the building they had entered, as it claimed to be more of a rescue shelter. It proudly advertised that it took in cats off the street to give them food, water, protection from the dry desert heat and would find them comfortable and loving homes. Despite being the all-around charity it claimed to be, the shelter required that you pay for a cat before being allowed to take it home.
“Kitten food is very expensive,” a Cathay-raht had purred when they had questioned why a charitable shelter would have customers pay—not that gold had been an issue for the empress and her consort. Nearly everyone they had encountered knew who they were and while the couple was undoubtedly being duped for their gold, Kjoret had convinced Ayrenn that it would be going toward a good cause. Secretly, she hoped she was right and that the gold they would be mooched out of for their new royal pet would not be funding some underground Skooma den.
“What’s the difference between a housecat and an Alfiq?” Kjoret asked. The two looked the same to her, and she knew she wasn’t the only one to get them confused. She figured Ayrenn had a close relationship with the Khajiiti people and had a good grasp of their culture.
“One will pad out of the Royal Palace to sell Dominion secrets. The other is just a pet,” Ayrenn japed.
“Renn!” Kjoret scolded through her grin.
They browsed some of the wares the store had: food, treats, balls of yarn, stuffed cloth mice, springs, balls and bells. The cats the shelter had taken in were allowed to roam freely within the building. A light grey cat with darker grey stripes and a white belly rolled at their feet, seeking attention. Ayrenn bent to scratch it under its chin when a chocolate calico caught Kjoret’s eye.
“Look at this one, Renn!” The cat seemed disinterested, but Kjoret was determined to show Ayrenn before the cat walked away. “Renn!” Kjoret hissed insistently.
The empress was now scratching behind the grey cat’s ears, the loud purring attracting the attention of other cats that were seeking belly rubs and chin scratches. “Is that the one you want? I said we’ll get whichever one you decide on.” Ayrenn never turned, preoccupied with keeping two cats happy now.
“Ayrenn...” Kjoret almost whined. When her wife finally turned, the spot where Kjoret had been pointing was empty.
“Kjor, um, where’s the cat you wanted to take home with us?”
“Here.” The voice that answered was not Kjoret’s. The calico cat Kjoret had so desperately wanted to show Ayrenn now sat perched at the payment counter counting out coins. “And to answer your previous question about the difference between housecats and Alfiq, housecats are for sale, this one is not.”
