Yesterday I had an off day and I’m really disappointes in myself for not working harder, but I finally sat down and started working on my sociology notes. I’ve started reading the Boku no hero manga and I really like it. I haven’t read any manga in a really long time. 😁

Also my cats are the sweetst alwasy napping next to me as I study. 🥰😸🐈🐈

So I haven’t posted in a while because I haven’t really been studying since my classes ended in december. I have been working, but I got really burned out during december working 30 hours a week and doing school at the same time. But I have 8 days till my first exam and I need to start studying for it.

I hope to study 3 different subjects today but I’ll see how I’ll do.

Also, does anyone want to chat? ;)

Panda tea 🐼

thanks for asking!

panda tea: do you have pets? which one? yes, i have 2 cats (finch and chicory) and 2 dogs (calder and eleanor)!!

finch is the baby, chicory is super mean, calder is a nervous disaster puppy (even though he’s a grumpy old man, hes still a puppy to me), and eleanor is very sweet but very dumb :’)

Hi! Do you have any tips what to do at the beginning of the year, to help your year to start off succesfull/productive. I'm starting college in october and I have no idea what to expect. 🙈

hello!! yes, i actually do!! i start school again on monday so here’s some of the stuff i’ve been doing in order to prep for the new year.

(ps: all the links i’ve included are just my favorite things - i’m not sponsored or anything by any of these companies!)

  • get a planner. - i know that this might seem pretty obvious but getting a planner and utilizing it daily changes lives. having unstructured time is a school year’s worst enemy. i prefer ones that let you plan your days down to the half-hour but look at some different options and see which one works best for you!
  • quick side note: you don’t need anything expensive or brand name but if that’s your style, go for it!
  • get supplies that work for you. - fun little story: i break down wooden pencils really quickly. i have a nervous habit of chewing on them so hard they get teeth marks, i’ve broken a few in half in fits of anxiety, and i sharpen them almost obsessively, so all of my wooden pencils are messed up in one way or another. i’ve gotten much better about that now but needless to say, those really weren’t the best option for me! now, i’ve switched to mechanical pencils and i’m so much happier with those <3 my point is to be practical when buying your supplies. know what does and doesn’t work for you! i think that’s just good advice in any aspect of life.
  • organize your study space. - i’m assuming you’re in a dorm (please lmk if i’m wrong!) so as soon as you get access to your space, organize your desk! here’s how i did the main drawer of my desk if you need a little inspiration :)
  • set goals for yourself and make plans to achieve them. - i prefer to do this by semester! sit yourself down, get a notebook, and make some SMART (specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, timely) goals! post your goals in a place where you can see them every day and do a goal check at least once every month!

good luck friend!! i believe in you: you’re going to do great things, i know it ♥
