still reeling at the reveal of the like. lateral consecution. that opal and ted went through. understanding yourself by splitting into pieces and getting to know them like strangers... so similiar to the dynasty's reincarnation consecution and yet so different. the luxon is so fascinating and the idea that possibly two entirely separate cultures both have lore and meaning and connection to the luxon through the beacons is definitely. something
You gotta understand that what Katara did in The Desert was incredibly risky for her own safety. Her priority was comforting Aang, her own safety like Sokka did for himself, Toph & Momo was in that moment not important to her
She has never seen & heard Aang be as angry as that moment before. Hell he even accused her falsely of doing nothing hours prior to the Sandbenders confrontation out of sheer frustration & desperation
What does she do when he is on the brink of completely giving in to his rage? She reaches out. Ready to help her best friend, a boy she cares a lot for & at that moment is conflicted on if she wants to be with him romantically or not
Because in that moment she knows what he needs is some comfort & understanding. However the way he is going on about it is going to hurt him in the long run. So she has to stop Aang before it gets worse
Aang's love for Katara is so powerful that his rage & pain over losing Appa while still present, he snaps out of it. He stops his storm of turmoil. He was ready to do a lot of damage, but never to Katara
you know what? the fact that so many people dont „get“ how lesbians have sex - and sometimes even ask women who have sex with women intrusive questions about it - is actually so telling. it really reflects how neglected female anatomy is, how out of touch many women are with their own desires and sexuality, how everything sex is about penetration with a penis (thats why people dont wonder how gay men have sex), that people who only have sex with the opposite sex center male desire to a point that they cant even imagine how a woman would satisfy another woman since there is no penis involved… it‘s sad.
opal learning the full truth about her reality and the incredible rare power and meaning behind her and ted and then immediately in that same instant forgetting all of it. aabria. you're evil

bugs. episode of all time. has a 6.8 star IMDB rating when every other s1 episode averages around 8-9. the opening shot of sam lying sluttily on the hood of the impala. sam and dean being mistaken for a gay couple looking to buy property. sam and dean pretending to be a gay couple looking to buy property. "okay honey". dean slapping sam on the ass? the only time in the show i've seen sam and dean use umbrellas (finding out that kripke never wanted them to use umbrellas bc they weren't manly enough??) sam and dean breaking and entering and squatting :") a kid with a bug fixation, ostracised by his dad, who sam has an immediate connection with. winchester family dynamics. bugs as the ghost of settler colonial violence haunting American suburban gentrification. bugs as a metaphor for how fragile the facade of white picket fence suburbia really is. sam and dean aren't able to kill their way out of this week's monster. all they're able to do is save people, temporarily. they don't get to break the curse, and that's the point. it's bigger than either of them. hunting as a cycle of frontier violence perpetuating itself, and for once there are no black-or-white solutions. supernatural will never deal with this theme again! anyways, they put cast and crew in a room with 65000 bees but the damned bees didn't show up properly on camera so they ended up using CGI bees. they look horrible.
