🔥 Hot off the sewing machine! 🔥 So here's a little preview of something I've been working on for the pop-up shop (remember, opening day will be next Thursday 9th June from midday) It's a lightweight viscose fabric made with a very subtle stretch, which is perfect for summer. The fabric is OEKO-TEX 100 certified, which means that no harmful substances were used in the production of this material. 🌱💚GREEN💚🌱 Green is the colour today, I can’t get enough of it. This is what I mean when I say that the bliss and the challenge can be experienced simultaneously. My body is in a lot of pain these past few days. It’s difficult to get comfortable. Even in a blissful soundbath at @yahra.uk though that did not stop me enjoying the lovely sounds and the way the awareness chases them through the Dreamtime. This tattoo by @tarrantulah is the only green ink have so far, and it is over my heart centre, whose colour is green. These hummingbirds are known as the ‘guardians of the north, of air’ and perhaps that’s what my soul is calling for today through this totem and these colours. For space, for freedom, for flight. I have received confirmation that this is coming to pass and I am grateful. My heart is open. This triple power heart chakra opening amulet by @lydialotusdesigns called to me today. It is made with chrysoprase and watermelon tourmaline. It feels just ever so slightly scary opening my heart on this level when I am feeling so vulnerable but this is the nature of transition when we wish to experience something greater than before. Don’t cast your pearls before swine. But don’t hide them away in a box either. Collage Crafts | Natural dyes with Leaf imprints & Ink on Fabric
Beginning with the Autumn theme, some lush berries and green leaves were picked, fresh for imprinting! Set out on a tressel, water based inks, glass and a roller to use. The linen fabric came in very handy, some designs were tested in paint, and the ink already made markings. The beautiful effects from the dye are seen in the video.
