Vengeance given (Short drabble)

Bellum had been in his workshop, when Noel came into his forge, barging in, her face stained with tears as she came to him. A sword in her hand that clattered on his floor, a blade he knew, because he had forged that piece for one Lucario, Vance. He looked at the blade, then noted the bandana in her other paw.

Her tears streaked down her face, his retort of what she was doing dying in his tongue as he looked at her.

Then she did the only thing she could to someone that was pretty much her Uncle.

She ran into his chest, burying her face into his bare chest, and crying. Proper, ugly sorrowful howling of a cry that made even his emotionally awkward hearts ache.

He knew something terrible had happened. And it took her a good ten or fifteen minutes to just calm down and be able to tell him what happened.

She told him of meeting Pavarotti, of his offer of a rescue team, his attempts to butter up the deal. Then, Vance's death.

Vance had been a friend. One of the few he had. And hearing that he was dead...

The heat around him coiled into an intense inferno. Hot enough to dry Noel's tears, and make her back away.

"U-uncle?" She asked, concerned.

She looked into his eyes, and saw blazing torches of an inferno that seemed to look down at her like the gaze of a large beast. She knew that her Uncle wouldn't hurt her. He'd never dare. But at that moment, she saw a sight of him that she had never seen before. It was a sight of something dark, and promising violence and death. And she was just glad it wasn't aimed at her.

With a considerable effort of willpower, Bellum forced himself to calm down.

He gave a deep sigh after a deep inhale, and he put his hands on Noel's trembling shoulders.

"What do you want to do?" He asked her in a firm tone.

The answer was too easy, too much of an obvious.

"I want to kill that son of a bitch that killed my Dad!" She spat, her tears returning as the venom in her veins helped to break her from her sudden daze. She was angry, and she wanted to wrench that chickens neck!

Bellum gave a nod. He could understand that. And he wasn't going to deny her.

"What do you need?" He asked, and she told him of her designed wants.

The kimono she asked for was out of his range of abilities. So, while he waited on the leather and kimono, which Desire went into with a firm resolve of his own. Meanwhile Bellum told Noel to bury her father and lay him to rest, and if at all possible, tell Aura. He needed to know too, then tell the rest.

After that, Bellum closed his doors to everyone, even Zane and Morello, and he went to work on giving Noel some added protection.

He first started with chain armor, made out of mithril, since it was lightweight and would protect her.

Then he took some beskar, and made a shoulder pad out of it. She'd need the protection, and even found leather he could put over it to fashion a double layer pauldron for her. Then he made a trick-shot gauntlet for her, which was tricky since it was mostly fine work and details, but he managed it. Even made a few extra things. Like a grappling hook, and a single shot cannon. It would only take a single 12 gauge, but it would effectively blow a hole through most things.

Then, he started on the weapons for her. If she was going to bring in hell, he'd need to give her the best he could give her.

With her being blind, she'd need to know where everything was. So, he made a simple order for her.

Two sets of grenades.

Fraggers on the top, smoke on the bottom. They would at least hide her, and she could use her aura to pinpoint anyone in her way. And even then, explosives were always a good incentive to run like hell.

After that was done, Bellum got a knock at the door. A firm one.

It was Desire at the other end, with a package. "Thanks Des." Bellum.said as he looked at the carefully wrapped package.

"Don't thank me yet, little brother." Desire said in a cool voice. "Noel is my family too. So teach these bastards what that means." Desire said, his own eyes going slitted, like a cats. "These fools have forgotten us too easily. Remind them of your reputation, and what it holds." He told Bellum before leaving at a brisk pace.

Desire had a valid point. These assholes were dead men walking. They just didn't know it yet.

The Kimono was a very pretty one. It was a Saturday blossom pink, with white petals as a decoration. At the back though, there was a duality of symbols. On one half, there was a half the circle of a cherry blossom, and the other was a black backdrop, with an Eastern dragon, showing its fangs in a snarl of fury and vengeance. At least, its what Bellum interpreted it as. The seams were set in a silver thread. Giving that symbol an almost moonlight like appearance. It was sort of a yin and yang. Cherry blossoms usually inspired peace and tranquility, and an angry dragon spoke of a fury and a want for destruction.

Kinda fitting honestly.

The jacket that was underneath was made out of leather from something tough, but lightweight. He knew that she would be able to move in this, and he’d be able to put the chain armor in there rather comfortably, if he adjusted it a bit.

After fitting it all, and making a few adjustments, Bellum finally called Noel back. She wasn't looking good, but then again, he didn't expect her too. She looked hard, and angry. But also sad, and heartbroken. He felt for her, as she was supposed to see her dad grow old. Not die like that.

"I have your equipment." He said, and stopped Noel before she could spring up to get it. "But I have one compromise with it."

Noel settled back down, and gulped. Waiting for him to either to tell her to not go by herself, or insist on doing it himself. He was protective, she knew that. But she was also ready to defend herself against his objections.

“I want to come with you.” Bellum told her as he looked down at her. She could sense that he was firm in his resolve, and it wasn’t exactly him stopping her, but... “I am not a baby, Uncle.” She said tersely as she did her best to give a glower at Bellum. “I know.” He said, his tone frank and his posture firm in its own right. “But if this guy has more goons to throw at you, then you need someone to cut them down while you get this asshole.” He retorted, and she found herself unable to question that logic.

If Pavarotti had a rescue team, or something equal to it, then he would have multiple teams under him, if her scouting him out was anything to go by.

Feeling like she was being told she wasn’t able to do this, she still sounded firm in her voice, even as it quavered a bit. “I still want to kill him myself.” She told him, and Bellum gave a nod. “I understand.” He said gently, his voice a touch lighter as he approached Noel, and gently put his hand on her head, reassuring her. “And you’ll get your chance. But you need to trust me. You can’t do this alone.” He told her.

Then he let her go and gently pushed her to the table. “Now, go and get your gear while I get mine.” He told her and gave her a good pat on the shoulder. Stifling a slight yelp, she did as she was bidden and checked out her gear. Her eyes, even if blind, going as wide as saucers as she inspected her new equipment.

When Bellum returned, he was in his full on battle rattle. Helmet on, and plasma axe ready on his back. “Ready twerp?” He asked as he looked to Noelle.

She looked ready alright. As ready as she could be with her new gear, and everything that he had readied for her. She looked to his vicinity, her eyes looking at her clothes. “Thank you, Uncle.” Noel said as she looked to him. “Don’t thank me yet.” He said as he motioned her to come along. The shirt she wore hid the chain armor well, and fit her too. He had tried to do it so the chains wouldn’t chafe, but they might add a bit more weight, but not much hopefully.

“Lets go then.” He said, as he motioned to Noel, as she got herself ready for battle. And with that done, they headed for the Seventh Heaven district. Where Bellum would reign his own kind of hell on those bastards.

Because as they went there, Bellum let her go a bit more to the side, where she wouldn’t be noticed and hide behind buildings, while he went to work.

So, he came to be where this Pavarotti asshole was hiding, or kept his little operation, and stood for a moment, before taking his helmet off, and roaring in a loud and angry roar; “PAVAROTTI YOU LITTLE SHITSTAIN BIRD ON A COOKING STICK! I CHALLENGE YOU AND YOUR ASSHOLE TROUPE, COME HERE AND FIGHT ME LIKE A MAN, OR FIND YOUR HEAD RIPPED OFF BY MY OWN HANDS, YOU COWARDLY CLOACA MUCUS!”

His voice rang out everywhere, the street halting into a deafening silence as things stirred.

Pokemon from this group began to come out of hiding at the challenge, and he knew they’d taken the bait. They could probably guess why he was here, and the more that came out of hiding, and the more civilians that ran away, the more of a grin Bellum had on him. He placed the helmet back on his head, and he gave a roar of glee. “Come get some!” He roared at them, and he charged forward, his axe now ablaze as it rang out and cut a Pokemon in half, then bisected another.

Now he showed he was a real threat, and those brave enough, or stupid enough, charged at him as he hacked them like feeble wood in two.

Sometimes mixing some moves or a flamethrower, or just making barricades for himself to funnel them through. The more he moved and hacked, the more time Noel got.

He wished her luck, while the Pokemon did their best to swarm him with numbers. The heat around him blazed like the core of a volcano, and those weak to it recoiled away.

Grinning more, he gave the best, evil howling cackle he could to just egg them on!

this is a bit random but i was thinking abt an sdc cross pokemon au where the crusaders r gym leaders and. i was wondering which pokemon type(s) you think they'd all use. also sorry if this has been asked before my memory is awful </3

hmm idk if i’ve talked about this before? but i think about this a lot actually wow wow ok so i actually think they would be more of the elite 4 than gym leaders. as for specifics from person to person well

i think jotaro is the regional professor, actually. he maybe started out trying to use fighting types as a kid but it didn’t really click so he switched to water types and is now a professor focused on studying the ocean and water pokemon therein. and u know how lapras’s early dex entries say it’s endangered and later ones say that through conservation efforts populations are now booming ? i think jotaro was the one heading that conservation project. his ace pokemon is a shiny lapras from that time, but he’s not much of a battler anymore (though at one point was very successful in the battling circuit and is still a formidable trainer who could probably beat most anyone else of the crusaders).

polnareff is the obvious answer with steel. his most beloved pokemon is a klefki that used to be his sisters, but his strongest battler is probably his own aegislash. there are a lot of steel types that are super bulky and slow, but i imagine his team to be primarily made up of the more sleek and agile ones like bisharp or scizor or lucario. i also think he sticks mostly to pokemon native to kalos (though not exclusively) because he’s just that french

also going with the obvious choice for abdul and fire. his ace pokemon is a blaziken, but i think of the rest of his team as being more docile sort of fire types that are easy to control. maybe a volcarona and a talonflame since both have flame body (the egg hatching ability) as a primary ability. his battle style usually involves using his fire type moves in unconventional ways, so he’s a tough foe and needs to be taken on in a very strategical manner over one of brute force.

kakyoin is a fairy type trainer i have said this before. i know this sounds weird because it doesn’t seem to fit him on a surface level but hear me out. fairy type trainers are largely weirdos from what we’ve seen. and furthermore. fairy types themselves are often extremely fucked up and violent while still being disarmingly cute. alolan ninetails wants to freeze you to death. hatterene wants to lob your head off. shiinotic makes people go missing in the woods. sylveon uses its tendrils to hypnotize prey and lure them in and then kill them (the tendrils thing is why i think his partner would be a sylveon in particular). i could go on. just trust me on this ok he is a fairy type trainer. but also i think he would make his aesthetic look like he’s a grass type trainer and send out a shiinotic first to throw people off. as a side note i think jotaro rescues and raises a popplio at one point but he doesn’t really have the room or time to take care of it so he gives it to kakyoin since primarina is a fairy type too. shared custody of seal jotaro gets to see her on weekends or something. idk if she’s much of a battling pokemon but she could be i don’t know

joseph. i will be honest. i have not thought about him much. i think psychic type could be fitting for him, or maybe just plain fighting, but i honestly don’t know. sorry i have failed you in this regard but i just don’t think about joseph

JOLYNE HOWEVER. i think about a lot. i think she’s a bug type trainer (her spider and butterfly motifs make me think she is a bug fan) and a lot of her team comes from her dad and his friends. her starter was a dewpider (now araquanid) from her dad, and she also has a scizor from polnareff, a centiscorch from abdul, and a ribombee from kakyoin. i think she would also have a heracross of her own and maybe that’s her ace. all in all i think her team would be like. the “bug type but doesn’t suck” kinda pokemon because i feel like for the most part bug is a type that kinda gets the short end of the stick in terms of having statistically bad pokemon. but she is a very strong trainer nonetheless i would like to think she’s the regional champion. she and maybe kakyoin are the only ones who can consistently kick jotaro’s ass in a pokemon battle (though abdul could probably come close if it wasn’t for the type disadvantage).

i don’t exactly have full teams plotted out for any of them, more like general vibes their teams would have, but given time i could probably come up with what they all would be. maybe another time

Stealing the Chicken

Last night was my match during our team’s semi-final round for the local Region Wars showdown tournament, and I’m actually really proud of the team I built. So of course I’d write a tumblr post about my team-building process. 

The name, correctly spelled ‘curi ayam’, is a malay saying my mom often uses that means ‘to steal the chicken’, which is kind of slang to say doing something you hope nobody will ‘catch’ you for. Which describes this team perfectly because honestly, what I came up with was basically putting all my eggs in one basket and hoping nobody would catch me out on it.

and my long-winded explanation down below the cut:

So, more on the tournament first. Region Wars is held by the local VGC comm, and basically we’re split into 4 factions: Kanto-Hoenn (who we kicked out last week), Sinnoh-Johto (us), Unova-Kalos (our opponents this round), and Alola (the currently undefeated champion). This week was the semi-final match of the loser’s bracket, because Unolos kicked our ass in Week 1, and Alola kicked Unolos’s ass in Week 2, and basically whoever won this round would make it to finals. As of the writing of this entry, even though I won, the fate of my team is still hanging in the balance on the last match of the week so please cry for me :’) 

But yeah, basically the rules were: Double battle, 6v6. Only use mons that were native to your pokedex and introduced only in your region, so stuff like Gyarados, Clefairy, and Zapdos was limited only to Kanto, for example. Mythical legendaries were banned for obvious reasons, but event legendaries were mostly allowed, save for mons like Arceus, Hoopa, and Magearna (basically the guys who were deemed too broken for the format by our admins). Which was sad because I wanted to use Arceus but my friends say that as a non-religious person Arceus would never lend me Its power anyway. 

So, anyway. We got our asses kicked by Unolos R1 because we had no idea what we were doing, had no team plan, had no idea how to chart vs the threats, and had no strong overwhelming options to control the match in our favor. Moreover, access to a lot of the normal Doubles threats like Shadow Tag Gothitelle (which made it hard for us to position our mons) or Landorus-Therian (who just kept Intimidating our physical attackers before U-turning out), made it difficult for us to play vs them. They also had access to Amoonguss, one of the premier threats of double battles, who had access to a 100% accuracy Sleep move in Spore, Rage Powder for redirection, and Clear Smog to get rid of any stat boosts that we managed to set up. On top of that, Regenerator just made it almost impossible to take Amoonguss out if it was played carefully. So yeah, when we went with a goodstuffs balanced playstyle that focused on reacting rather than acting, we ended up getting screwed over by the sheer power and bulk of Unolos. I used Azumarill back in Week 1, but without proper redirection support, it went down too fast to do any actual work. That said, I really believed in the little blue rabbit. Priority Aqua Jet meant that it could threaten Unolos’s faster, frailer pokemon, and pick up OHKOs vs Landorus-T, Diancie, Volcarona, Genesect, and basically anything fast and frail once it set up to +6 Attack with Belly Drum. My teammates didn’t believe in Azumarill because we got our asses kicked by Volcanion back in Week 1, and Volcanion had Water Absorb, which allowed it to heal from Water damage, and access to Steam Eruption and Heat Wave, both moves that could burn a physical attacker like Azumarill. For Week 3, my teammates opted for Z-Celebrate Shaymin and Z-Conversion Porygon-Z, both who get +1 to all stats from their Z moves. I decided to stick with the water bunny. However, based off what happened in Week 1, I knew I had to change things up. Azumarill definitely needed a lot of support, and my teammates constantly told me that the existence of Volcanion would make it hard for Azumarill to do any work, and that Electric Porygon-Z would be better. So, after a lot of debate and hand-wringing, I came up with this team: 

Basically, my plan was to support Azumarill/Porygon-Z as best as I could with the other 4 slots of my team. I didn’t want to run the risk of being wrong by hedging my bets on Azu, so I brought in Electric Z-Conversion Porygon-Z to sort of have a failsafe. As it turns out, I didn’t need it, and Azu really did pull through for me. So, breakdown for the team. Porygon-Z: Originally supposed to be the failsafe, the best sweeper that we could manage. Z-Conversion would change it to an electric type, which we decided after much debate would be the best type for a PoryZ to convert to. Basically the rationale was that Tbolt would pick up OHKOs on Volcanion and Genesect, while a +1 Ice Beam would definitely OHKO Landorus-T, one of the only few viable ground types we considered. Electric had a better defensive typing vs steel pokemon, and gave it a neutral typing vs things like Aegislash and Bisharp. In the end, most of the things we planned for didn’t show, and PoryZ spent most of my matches hiding in the back.  Togekiss: Supposedly my Amoonguss counter, Safety Goggles would make it immune to most of Amoonguss’s nonsense, while redirecting Amoonguss’s Spore and Clear Smog with Follow Me. I knew I couldn’t leave home without Togekiss, so it was a mainstay of the team from the start. My main worry was things like Rock Slide or Sludge Bomb, which would take it out prematurely before Azumarill or Porygon-Z had the chance to do any work. Normally I’d have tossed in more goodstuff mons to just ease the pressure of Azu or Pory doing well, but most of our goodstuff mons kinda suck so I decided to just pile on the redirection, which ended up with

Smeargle: Easily the most versatile mon we have in our arsenal, Smeargle gets access to every move that can be sketched, which means it can do anything a support mon wants to do. Fake Out was standard Smeargle fare to enable PoryZ or Azu to set up properly, Follow Me was what I needed Smeargle to do, and Spiky Shield was your normal defensive move. The last slot was a toss-up between Spore and Transform, and honestly it feels pretty bad that Smeargle is our only Spore user. However, I opted for Transform because I wanted to reduce the pressure on Azu and PoryZ if things weren’t going too well. Neither mon was super bulky and I was really putting all my bets on them so... Smeargle functioned as an alternate backup if I could pull Transform off. (HINT: I did. Many times.) Azumarill: The MVP of the team. Azumarill with Huge Power and Belly Drum has wrecked me in VGC far too many times to count, and I trusted in its power. Aqua Jet for fast kills, and Knock Off instead of Play Rough to deal with the nonsense that was Amoonguss, Aegislash, Ferrothorn, and Volcanion. (At +6 those are all OHKOs). I went with the standard VGC Azumarill because honestly, as much as Azu has 100/80/80 defenses, when it’s your sole sweeper and you need it to last like 10 turns to take out the entire 6-mon team, you need as much bulk as you can get. 

Lucario: Week 1 traumatized me when a Volcanion Sludge Bombed Azumarill and left it too weak to Belly Drum and sweep. So I looked at our Follow Me users and decided if Unolos wanted to pull that shit again, I was ready. Steel typing Follow Me was basically the only reason why I went for Lucario; to protect Azumarill. Feint was also a nice move to have to assure that Azu could nail the Aqua Jet targets it wanted to through Protect, and I went with traditional Detect to help ‘burn Fake Out/Trick Room/Tailwind turns’. Flash Cannon was advised by my teammates over Aura Sphere because of Diancie, to which I still regret because we didn’t see it this round. 

Hitmontop: As far as support Fake Outers go, Hitmontop is tough to beat. Intimidate, Fake Out, access to Wide Guard, Helping Hand, Feint... the only thing it doesn’t have is Follow Me, but with three other Follow Me users on the team, I decided on Hitmontop for some nice Wide Guard and Helping Hand support. Hitmontop was more a partner for PoryZ than Azu, but it still did its work :D

And so there we have it. I won 2-1 vs a standard team, Azumarill wrecked everything in its path that was supposed to stop it (bye bye Ferrothorn, Volcanion) and now I just need to hope the rest of my team pulls out a victory after i spent SO MUCH DAMN TIME STRESSING OVER PUTTING ALL MY EGGS IN ONE BASKET.

APRIL. that made her the princess. anyways she grew up as any princess would--spoiled. however the spoiling never got to her head bc serena was so good about teaching her things like that. serena was a goddess i love her pls come back. serena was wildly popular with the citizens of the kingdom bc of her caring and friendly personality. she would always take april into the kingdom every day and pay visits to the citizens. out of all the citizens they paid visits to, the most common faces she saw were those of the solo family. cain was jed’s most talented and trusted knight. he and his wife celeste had 2 kids: jack and sho YO. jack was 7 yrs older than sho and 3 yrs older than april. april and jack became fast friends and often explored the kingdom together. regular kid stuff u know. jack’s mom was always like “jack NO u CANNOT take the PRINCESS to the farms thats FILTY” hahahah but they went anyway.  jed? a dark man. idk who hurt him or what made him so murderous. but. he was tired of serena treating the citizens like equals. he believed that royalty should be viewed as gods.  when april was 8 jed killed serena oh god there it is theres the tragic anime mom death. as soon as serena died, the dynamic of the kingdom instantly changed. soon after jed took total control, people began leaving the island. eventually, the island became so empty that only a handful of families remained. jed did not allow april to leave the castle at all, and with that rule, it damaged the friendship that she and jack had. ofc around that time jack’s dad ran off as well so he stopped tryin to visit her for a bit. but then once he got back into his groove hed sneak all about, avoiding the night patrols, and hed just sit outside of april’s window and talk to her.  when april was 11 she discovered a devil fruit hidden away in the trashed artifacts that belonged to her mother. she ate the devil fruit and was like “now im strong, fight me JED” but lol she got her ass whooped poor bby when april was 16 jack left the island, leaving her completely and utterly alone. the exposure to such loneliness began to change april into a more reserved, bitter person.  2 yrs later the STRAW HATS stumbled upon the island. at that time april had started a habit of sneaking out of the castle to roam the empty streets of nimbasa, but during one of her strolls, she encountered robin, franky, and brook. she ended up knocking them unconscious bc she felt threatened. the second group she met consisted of zoro, chopper, and sanji. they had been captured by guards and were brought into the throne room to be interrogated by jed. april was required to be there as well so she kinda sat in her throne and looked mad the entire time. sanji was like “NO WHY DOES SHE LOOK SO MAD SHE NEEDS TO BE HAPPY” and zoro was like “ive never seen someone so happy to see my face” and chopper was just having a crisis bc they were abt to be tossed into the shadow realm at the hands of the king. zoro got mouthy and jed didnt have none of that shit so he told april to kill zoro but she just knocked him out instead. that pissed jed off. THE NEXT person she met was luffy. she only met luffy bc he infiltrated a banquet thing by sitting underneath a cart. classic luffy. she didnt meet nami and usopp until WAAAAY later. yadda yadda yadda shit goes down (i wrote a whole arc for this. it’s called the princess and the pirates lmao original but yes i wrote an entire arc for her recruitment and it’s A Lot) ANYWAYS luffy asked her to join the crew but she declined at first bc she thought pirates were just like her father: power-hungry and murderous. however that obv changed when she was exposed to the straw hats more when luffy defeated jed who ate the ___ ___ fruit (tbh i forgot what fruit he ate im sorry) she KNEW she belonged with the straw hats. :’) she still be sailin with the legends. shes had some wild times obv. her arc comes a bit after thriller bark. woopie!!!!!!! like always, lemme know if u wanna know more about her!!!

vader: he likes to play as link or captain falcon, but they’re not the best characters for fighting. vader hates losing, but… come on! “FALCON PAWNCH!!!” sometimes instead of playing seriously he’ll just falcon punch anyone who comes near.

sidious: a king dedede player that just hides in corners and spams the taunt button. if you come near him he will grab/throw you away.

maul: he mains meta knight and beats the living shit out of people, especially sidious and dooku. has absolutely no chill unless it’s savage.

savage: plays as ike because he’s powerful and has a cool sword!! a pretty decent player, but not enough to win against some of his roommates. will throw you across the room if you single him out (”STOP. KILLING. ME.”)

asajj: a damn good zero suit samus player. she never plays regular samus unless she feels it would be advantageous to do so. she has an ongoing rivalry with maul.

dooku: loves the graceful moves of marth. what a powerful, elegant young man! surprisingly decent at the game, to everyone’s dismay. is the one that singles out savage and ends up being thrown across the room.

kylo: mains lucario. also a good player, though always loses to lana for some reason (”what the hell, i’m lucario i should be kicking your ass”). has mercy on grandpa vader, just standing next to him and taunting back and forth—until maul runs in and kills them both.

nihilus: a brutal peach player. loves to spam the peach parasol move and float gracefully around the arena. always chooses the daisy skin when playing as her.

grievous: played once. vader falcon punched him off the edge and KO’d him after 10 seconds. grievous does not play anymore.

inquisitor: he loves playing as sheik. graceful, agile, and deadly—just like himself, really. unfortunately, he has no skill whatsoever in playing this game.

lana: everyone snickered when she chose pikachu as her main but immediately stopped laughing after she won the first round. she may not be as good as maul or asajj, but she is a force to be reckoned with

all alone just started playng this is terrible lets get it

so day6. a band i only found out about in late june (thank u boxy) and before this i only ever listened to bts and mx bc my friends stan them so i thought i was gonna expect boys dancing, the usual. 

i clicked i smile and i lost my fucking shit as soon as i saw the instruments because prior to day6 i was a big 5sos fan so this was rly resonating to me tbh and i was just !!! so fukcng excited??? i never intended to even get into day6 honestly??? but after witnessing how good they are and watching about all of the available mvs at that point i was completely in awe so i caved a created a stan twitter for them.

now, this isnt even the most of it. after becoming a fan i realized how much more these 5 boys are. they compose (if im not wrong) and brian writes lyrics for the songs each month because of their everyday6 project and again, im wow-ed because??? the amount of dedication???? they went from releasing 2 title tracks in 2 years to releasing 12 title tracks and 12 bside tracks in a single year. they havent released the december song yet but haviing to work on 2 or more songs in 4 weeks is fucking amazing if you ask me. 

theyre really talented and theyre just so versatile (am i using that word correctly) and each month their songs sound different. this project has given them the opportunity to try new things and you can hear the steady improvement in each of their vocals (dowoonie not so much since he barely gets lines, but we all know hes working hard) and if you listen to their debut song - kongchu and compare it to the version they released along with sunrise it just???? the drumming has even changed from the original version nd its so noticeable that whenever i hear kongchu from 2015 i know its the old ver

to add to those, they do vlives every week and although those vlives are always scheduled it still makes my day seeing them and watching them do the usual. 

one thing im upset about is that how they barely promote themselves, they rarely get on variety shows (the most is individual schedules) and we, as mydays never really get to know the boys so its harder to fall for them as a whole. i dont know if its jyp or day6′s decision but if this is how they want to be known for - their music only, then so be it. we still have jae’s presence on youtube, music access and asc. thats the most we can get and it makes it difficult for us to learn about the rest but thats okay.

another thing. their concerts are something i always look forward to (even though my interest has died down a bit;) their concerts are just so fun to listen to?? there’ll always be mydays who stream the concert so everyone else can listen to them play and they sound so good live it drives me crazy. mydays are always so hyped and whenever mydays sing along it just gives me goosebumps??? bc theyre so???? good????? 

tldr; day6 deserve more, following wise and promotions wise because they work so hard and once this project ends i hope they’ll manage to rest but still remain as a presence that will be known instead of returning to jyp’s dungeon.

How He Discovered Pokemon :

noya was always into video games, and he knew about Pokemon, but he only got around to play it when Pokemon X & Y was released, because he thought the new 3D feature was pretty cool.

he bought Pokemon Y, because Yveltal looked badass.

he told tanaka about it and insisted that tanaka would buy Pokemon X so they could have a friendly rivalry.

after the second gym, it just became a full-blown rivalry between the two.

General Pokemon Headcanons :

noya doesn’t actually have a set favorite pokemon.

his favorite pokemon keeps changing, because nishinoya’s standard is basically : “if u look badass, i like u”

he chose Froaky as his starter, because Greninja looked badass as fuck.

noya kept soft-resetting the game because he wanted to get a shiny Froaky but he got tired after the first time because having to sit through the intro was too tedious and noya was impatient.

he named his Froaky “Naruto”.

he also has a Machamp named “Ryu”. Tanaka has a Machamp named “Noya”. 

i like to think noya was one of those players whose entire god damn team was full of legendary Pokemon.

his team would consist of a Yveltal named “Death”, Naruto the Greninja, a Rayquaza named “Crusher”, a Mewtwo, a Lucario he named “Werewolf”, and a Moltres named “Hell”.

Nishinoya used to have a Zygarde named “Bulldozer” but he traded it for Crusher the Rayquaza.

he is very proud of the names he’s come up with.

one day he saw hanamaki and matsukawa playing Pokemon Go and they caught a Rattata so oikawa figured why not play the original games.

he bought Pokemon X, because that was the most recent game to be released, and because the deer on the cover looked nice.

iwaizumi did not approve because he knew that if Shittykawa got addicted to the game [ which he probably will ], Oiks is never gonna get a wink of sleep ever again because he’ll just play that game until three in the morning

much to iwaizumi’s misfortune, oikawa did get addicted to the game.

General Pokemon Headcanons :

oikawa’s favorite pokemon would be either sylveon or milotic. he just likes fairy types or any pretty-looking Pokemon.

after Valerie’s gym, he knew he had fallen in love with Fairy-type Pokemon.

oikawa spent many nights googling the prettiest pokemon, and going through lists of all the existing Pokemon, and then googling the locations of the Pokemon he wanted on his team.

unlike noya, oikawa’s too lazy to nickname his Pokemon.

i like to think oikawa’s that kind of player that isn’t really in a rush to defeat all the gyms and the elite four, nor does he strive to collect as many Pokemon as he can- he just likes capturing pretty Pokemon and maybe dueling random Bug Catchers every now and then.

after many, many trades he finally got a Feebas and he dedicated so much time to evolving it into a pretty Milotic.

he has a Sylveon named “Oikawa” and his Milotic’s name is “Tooru”.

he is very proud of the fact that each of his Pokemon on his main Pokemon team all have ribbons from contests that they’ve entered and won.

he has a Garbodor named “Kageyama”. Kags does not know about this.

he also has a Snubbull named “Iwaizumi” because it looked eternally angry like Iwa-chan. Iwaizumi does know about this, and Oikawa took a jump serve to the face.

How He Discovered Pokemon :

he saw nishinoya and tanaka playing the game after one of their summer practices, and he wanted something to do to kill time, so he decided to take up Pokemon.

he bought Pokemon X because he liked the deer’s design.

suga wasn’t really one for video games, but he liked Pokemon, though unlike noya and oikawa who probably spent a lot of time playing the game, suga knew how to manage his time well, so he only played the game whenever he had free time.

suga’s glad he now has something he can bond with noya and tanaka over.

General Pokemon Headcanons :

suga’s favorite Pokemon would have to be his starter, because it’s been with him since day one and it’s the Pokemon he was most attached to.

he picked Chespin for his starter, because he found it really cute. he named it “Spike”.

after a couple of YouTube videos, some trial and error, and the occasional tip from noya or tanaka, suga had familiarized himself with things like STAB, IVs, EVs, etc.

much like in volleyball, suga knew how to bring out the best in his Pokemon team, choosing the best nature, and the best moveset for his Pokemon.

suga nicknames his Pokemon with stereotypical pet names like “Cupcake” or “Tiny” or “Prancer”.

i like to think of suga as those very passionate Pokemon players that were willing to go to the ends of the Earth to bring out the best in their Pokemon, like finding the right held item or spending several hours at a certain route just to train their Pokemon.

he’s very patient and his mind, long-used to thinking of the best strategy to win, never fails him whenever he joins competitive battles.

the first time he defeated the Elite Four, suga was so proud of his Pokemon he almost cried.

whenever he replays Pokemon X, he always chooses Chespin as his starter.

suga’s held a lifelong grudge against Aerodactyl for repeatedly knocking out his poor baby Spike. ever since adding an Altaria he named “Cotton” onto his team, Ice Beam-ing those Flying-type fuckers become all the more sweet.

Top 10 Pokemon in existence as of Sun and Moon (for singles)

I’m a little bored and I felt like making this. I talked with my friends about the best 5 and it’s changed a little since that talk so I felt that I needed to make a top 10 to cover my basis. (I should note that this list covers singles, vgc aka doubles is about certain pairs rather than individual pokemon.)

10) Mega Gengar

Base 130 speed and 170 special attack makes this mon a good glass cannon but there’s one thing that makes this mon really good. The ability shadow tag (which traps all non-ghost types). Gengar’s typing is also pretty good offensively (not much resists ghost). Genger’s movepool is also really good packing shadow ball, sludge wave, focus blast, taunt, destiny bond, curse for blissey, will-o-wisp, etc. Somehow it’s not strong enough to take on teams on its own but it can get rid of certain threats for others to wreck havoc.

9) Ho-oh

Ho-oh’s overall stats not only make it strong but incredibly bulky on the special defensively. The typing is also a blessing and a curse. Fire flying is great offensively and defensively it makes ho-oh immune to will-o-wisp and ground attacks. Unfortunately, this means it’s also 4x weak to rock thus allowing stealth rock to do massive damage on ho-oh when it switches in. The ability regenerator and the move recover allows ho-oh to stay healthy for most of the time which is what makes Ho-oh a really tough mon to face. It doesn’t help that it has scared fire which has a 50% chance of burning mons.

8) Mega Salamence

Easily the best conventional mega in the game. Overall stats make mega salamence strong, fast, and bulky. Regular salamence starts with the ability intimidate which lowers attack and mega salamence has aerilate which is an amazing ability. Aerilate makes normal type attacks into flying type attacks and boosts them by 1.2x. Dragon Flying is also a pretty good typing all around. Salamence’s movepool is astounding featuring dragon dance, double edge, return, earthquake, fire blast, roost, wish, defog, outrage, etc. Once mega salamence gets set up, you’ll most likely be swept by it.

7) Marshadow

This mon only recently came out but it’s really fucking good. Ghost fighting is absolutely amazing offensively. Fighting hits all the things that resist ghost super effectively. Base 125 attack and speed is really good for power and speed. The ability technician comes into play more than you think. Marshadow’s movepool is silly too having close combat, shadow sneak, rock tomb, ice punch, fire punch, thunder punch, poison jab, drain punch, hidden power, bulk up, and most importantly spectral thief. Spectral thief is a really dumb move. It can steal boosts (like sword dances) then damage the mon afterwards. This means if you’re slower than marshadow, you can’t set up safely. It even ignores substitute (because gamefreak). Technician shadow sneak, hidden power ice, and rock tomb really comes in handy. There’s barely any counters to marshadow too (arceus fairy, water, and ground come to mind but they are all slower than marshadow). Marshadow alone has made arceus normal and ghost less viable as marshadow has become the best arceus normal/ghost check to date.

6) Primal Kyorge

This thing is really dangerous. 180 base special attack and having primordial sea means that its water moves will probably ohko most things. Overall stats make kyogre hard to kill in the first place. Kyorge’s movepool is pretty good too having origin pulse, water spout, thunder, ice beam, calm mind, and scald. The only reason it’s only #6 is because it has no super reliable way to recover and primal groudon exists (desolate land hard counters kyorge).

5) Yveltal

Easily the best dark type in the game. Dark flying is great offensively and defensively. Yveltal’s stats are really good overall and it’s ability is perfect for boosting its dark attacks. The best part yveltal is definitely the movepool (dark pulse, sucker punch, foul play, taunt, roost, oblivion wing, heat wave, u-turn, etc.) Oblivion wing allows yveltal to steal hp from it’s opponents. Dark pulse is very powerful and can flinch opponents. Yveltal’s speed tier is good enough to outspeed the things it needs to outspeed. Sucker punch and foul play prevent physical sweepers from getting out of hand. Good luck dealing with this mon.

4) Xerneas

Best fairy in the game hands down. Overall stats are great and ability is prefect for moonblast spam. The thing that puts xerneas over the top is the move geomancy (the best set up move in the game). +2 special attack, special defense, and speed is absolutely ridiculous. Under normal circumstances you would have to wait two turns for the boost but power herb gets rid of the wait time. Xerneas movepool is pretty good as well (moonblast, focus blast, thunder, aromatherapy, etc.) Z moves made geomancy even more dangerous by allowing it to give xerneas +1 to every stat before the next turn it gets the normal geomancy boost. The only reason xerneas isn’t any higher is because it has plenty of checks (primal groudon, mega lucario, mega scizor) and counters (solgaleo, margearna, aegislash).

3) Arceus

This mon can be whatever type you want it to be and has base 120 stats all around. Movepool is absolutely insane (swords dance, extreme speed, earthquake, shadow claw, shadow force, recover, defog, calm mind, judgment, ice beam, earth power, and much more). Offensively it’s hard to check due to extremespeed and other coverage moves (at least marshadow exists now). Defensively it’s a tank that can outspeed a lot of mons. There’s a reason arceus is said to be the god of pokemon.

2) Primal Groudon

The best mon of smogon ubers and the most used mon when it was allowed in vgc. Typing and ability work together so perfectly. Fire ground is only weak to water and ground (also immune to thunder wave and will-o-wisp). Desolate Land boosts fire attacks while completely negating water moves (http://protocol00.deviantart.com/art/Primal-Groudon-vs-Primal-Kyogre-508793395 what happens when primal groudon switches into primal kyorge). The movepool is one of the best in the game (precipice blades, stone edge, lava plume, fire punch, eruption, rock polish, swords dance, stealth rock, rock tomb, roar, etc.) Has 180 attack which means you’ll easily get 2hko’d by primal groudon (ohko’d if swords dance is involved). Its bulk allows it to set up without major issues. The only flaw primal groudon has is that it can be whittled down.

1) Mega Rayquaza

This mon forced smogon to create the anything goes ban list. It breaks normal mega conventions by not needing a mega stone to mega evolve. Its stats are absolutely ridiculous (Base 180 attack and special attack, Base 115 speed, Base 100 defense and special defense, Base 105 HP). Delta stream is op af (removes flying weaknesses so mega rayquaza only takes 2x from ice and 1x from rock and counters primal groudon and kyorge abilities). Dragon ascent is a flying version of close combat. The rest of the movepool is silly (Earthquake, V create, waterfall, draco meteor, extremespeed, dragon dance, swords dance, and plenty more). Did I mention it can hold an item unlike other megas? Life orb, lum berry, choice band, choice scarf, leftovers, any item you want to put on it. This made mega rayquaza the best mega to ever exist. I have no clue why they allowed this monster in vgc at one point. You could not beat this mon 1v1 unless you had your own mega rayquaza or was already set up with xerneas.

april - ok this girl is my first oc. i made her in the middle of english class in 6th grade and shes been around ever since!!! tbh at this point idk if i want her to still be a straw hat or not but like??? anyways shes a rogue princess. she grew up just fine, but then one day her asshat dad killed her mom bc her mom was an “embarrassment of a ruler” and made their kingdom “look bad” anyways that happened when april was like 11. then once her dad took TOTAL control of the island he locked her tf away so she wouldnt be able to visit the citizens like she used to. so from 11 to 18 she was cooped up in the damn castle. when she was 16 she got her hands on a devil fruit that was locked away in some hidden room in her mother’s library (cliche i know im sorry) so then she ATE IT. THE AURA-AURA FRUIT. a v basic summary of that fruit is that she can manipulate her own aura and shit. imagine lucario from pokemon as a human honestly. idk. so when she ate the fruit she decided to fight her dad but of course she lost horribly and then she had to sit around in even more of a cooped up state for two more years until the STRAW HAT TEAM CAME ALONG ON ACCIDENT BAM SHE WAS ABLE TO LEAVE THE ISLAND BC OF THEM ok ok??? her whole story is complicated i tried to give the best watered down version im sorry. anyways shes v sweet and can be goofy but can be defensive as hell. she knows what she wants and will do anything to get that. yeehaw. shes an average height for a woman, she’s got shoulder-length brown hair and sky blue eyes. if u ever wanna know more bout her hmu

jack - OK MY 2ND OC EVER HE WAS MADE RIGHT AFTER APRIL AND HONESTLY HES MY FUCKING BABY. I LOVE HIM SO MUCH!!!! anyways. he grew up on the same island april did. his dad was like the right hand man to april’s dad so like he had connections and shit. he had a v happy family. a sweet mom celest and a dope dad cain and a wonderful lil sis sho. when aprils mom was still alive, they would always visit the town so jack and april always hung out and went on adventures throughout the town together. when april’s mom died and her dad started locking her up more, they werent able to see each other much anymore. of course, jack being the rebellious son of a gun he was, he would always sneak around and find ways to still hang with her. jack’s 3 years older than her btw. anyways. one day out of NOWHERE jack’s dad just VANISHED from the island and it rly fucked him up. he was 14 when that happened. so then he had to take a step up and watch over his mom and sister. then april’s dad became even more of an asshat and more people started leaving the island, so jack’s mom and sis decided to leave. HOWEVER jack decided to stay so april wouldn’t be completely alone. that happened when he was 16. then he stayed on the down low and visited april as much as possible until he finally decided to leave and make a life for himself and also search for his family. he left when he was 18 and he promised april that shed be set free one day and theyd be able to meet up once again and have more adventures :’) anyways then he went on a search for his dad. turns out his dad left bc he was the leader of the LEAGUE OF ASSASSINS and had to tend to the duties over there. after YEARS jack finally found the LOA but his dad literally left AGAIN 3 months before he got there. that frustrated him. but then he decided to start a life in the league ((bc his dad lowkey taught him a whole lotta shit about that as a child but u kno)) and met CHAZ AND JO…anyways pause on the story. jack’s an uncooked piece of spaghetti. hes v tall and lanky. hes got messy black hair and red eyes. he deserves so much love ok. he needs a hug. covers up his problems with dumb humor. a little shit. v snarky. his weakness is overthinking. v good with daggers. his epithet after he becomes a wanted man is (lame) jack “the slicer” solo ok. hes 23 after the timeskip. yes. i could talk about him forever. pls lemme know if u wanna know more about him AHHHHHHHH ps april and jack are my favorite brotp and i wish someone was the jack to my april
