So, I have some thoughts about Book 7

From what we saw from the attitude of Malleus's mom Malenor, the attitude of the Senate, and what we've seen from what Lilla-sama said about the Briar Valley, it seems like Briar Valley is REALLY on it's last breath as a country. No wonder it became a Valley and not a country. Like 10 seconds from crashing down. And the systems are COMPLETELY FU*KED UP. As a country, It's really FU*KED UP, and two steps away from becoming toast. It's so bad that I really believe even Leona would refuse to be born as a first son of a prince with this state.

Lilia-sama was right about Henryk, despite him being a big dick as a person and a total jerk, you have to admit he is a really capable person when it comes to military and conducting an army. He provides strategies, controls his subordinates, and is really smart when it comes to controlling his cards. The machines the Silver Owls use does destroy the environment but puts a big advantage in battle. Henrik reminds me of Nobunaga Oda and the way he used pistols to defeat Shingen Takeda's horse armies which were considered to be undefeatable at the Sengoku period.

On the other hand, Mallenor is a powerful sorceress and a dragon. But she just competed with her powers. No tactics whatsoever. Part of it due to her pride as a dragon and looking down on humans. We can't deny that. Moral values of the fairies.

Silver's dad, the knight of dawn was so powerful that even Lillia-sama admitted it. It's really stupid to go out there with no hidden tricks or backup help or tactics. Also, Lilia-sama said something about putting pranks on the wand of the Queen Maleficia, and Lilia-sama getting scolded instead of Malenor. She is a princess, but we haven't heard about Malleus's grandma scolding her daughter or anything. Seems to be that there was a HUGE problem with education of the royal family. Malleus grew up as kind(fae-standards) due to Lilia-sama, and the presence of Silver and Sebek, and changing through the meeting with Prefect and finally having a friend who won't fear him and treat him as a equal friend, not a monster. From what Malenor said about Malleus being the leading star of the fairies and a dark star for humans to be afraid, I really doubt about "Equal friendship human Get along with other people" element coming into the education of Malleus if she was alive. Her moral values are ANCIENT but that couldn't be helped. Her husband is gone, the Senate are all bunch of dried up old farts with a dick personality and no use. At least Henrik was a capable man when it came to the army department and you can understand the human values of the past and why so many humans gathered at Henrik's army due to fear.

Lilia-sama said that the life of Malleus will be difficult due to him being a fairy through and through and living with human evolution. The moral values need to be changed in order for Briar Valley to be a country and live, now the precious resources and elements already gone and one step away from the environment biting the dust.

Also, the education of "Fairies are better than humans, we can crush them like ants, pure blood dragonia family is the best, we must worship them etc." might be taught to the children of the Briar Valley looking at the attitude of Sebek at first. And the senate was all about pure blood and Lilia-sama being a nasty bat, praising how Malenor fought and died and looking down on humans like gerbils. WHEN HENRIK AND THE SLIVER OWLS ARE STILL THERE AND DWELDING AND KILLED THEIR PRINCESS FOR PETE'S SAKES! HELLO!? And both Lilia-sama and the Senate are arguing about quitting the right general of the army? The most powerful fairy in the country now that Malenor is gone? When Henrik's army could ruin the land the civilian fairies live within the drop of the hat? Purely ridiculous.

Also, we have to talk about Sebek's dad. A dentist. From what Sebek said about him, he was heavily valued due to lack of health care institutions in the place where Sebek's family lived. That tells a WHOLE LOT OF STUFF about the health care systems of Briar Valley. Also, the other lands that was introduced in the world of Twisted Wonderland had a symbol of industrialization that brings in the money into it's economy and the people. For Leona, the natural energy resources that were not dug up and buried under the vast lands. That could be the start. Shaft lands are famous for sightseeing and jeweled pineapples and etc. But Briar Valley doesn't have any of that, I think the reason being "Interacting with humans and doing business and trade!? The though itself is preposterous etc. "

I'm sure there are other points I missed out. I mean, Briar Valley has a lot to fix up. Malleus needs to kick out the Senate first when he is crowned king and change the moral values and education of his country. That fairies and humans need to live together with other species instead of fearing the other. The ancient values of fairy supremacy are not going to work anymore.

Also, Malenor putting Lilia-sama in charge of making Malleus come out from his egg is part of the whole reason that caused Malleus to overblot. A big part of it is Lilia-sama dropping out due to magic loss from NRC and Prefect going back to their world. I doubt that Malenor did not know what the senate would say about Lilia-sama even though this is Lilia-sama's dream and his POV, which may be a little more dramatic than what really happened in the past. But Malenor should have at least prepared a strategy or listened to Lilia-sama. Even though she said because I'm a mom, I will go, but that doesn't justify the fact that she threw most of the problems in the land of Briar into Lilia-sama and caused Malleus to not come out of his egg for more than 200 years. I mean come on!!!!! From the attitude of the Senate, she should have prepared one good excuse like an offical paper even though I doubt it will work. And Lilia-sama is her subordinate, so he really can't talk back to the Senate in general! Part of the reason that Malenor bite the dust was the moral values of the fairies and the brainwashing, but her pride got in the way, no denial. And look at Malleus's reaction! He is upset that he wasn't told! Did Malenor really wanted her son to act up like this? Like I said, the segregation and the land problems and a ton of others were thrown into Lilia-sama and Grandpa-bolt and the others hands.

Oggi day off, nonché anche compleanno di papà. Mattinata in palestra, pranzo dell'ultimo minuto con P al sushi, in cui dire no ad un amica era scortese, soprattutto dopo 3 settimane di assenza e in cui un momento per noi alla fine ce lo meritavamo anche per recuperare la quotidianità in chiacchiere e racconti, ma che mi ha mandato poi in crisi per tutta la giornata, con tanto di lacrime e cattivi pensieri già nello spogliatoio a fine allenamento. Ed una volta arrivata a casa e sistemato, mi son messa a letto, piena e gonfia da questo pranzetto, accorgendomi che proprio oggi è pure la giornata del fiocchetto lilla e tutto questo mi è sembrata una grande ed immensa barzelletta, nulla per caso insomma!

Mi sono poi addormentata, un po' per la stanchezza ed un po' in vista del weekend full lavorativo, al risveglio ero ancora piena, così da mangiarmi giusto due foglie di insalata per cena e festeggiare mio padre con una fettina della sua torta richiesta rigorosamente con tanta pasta frolla. Ed ora sono qui, a letto, che volevo scrivere due paroline riguardo questa giornata, perché scrivere aiuta sempre e perché dicono che parlarne fa bene ed anzi si deve. E per come son fatta a volte penso proprio il contrario, che parlarne peggiori le cose, che faccia sentire ancora più pazzi, pronti ad essere giudicati, con quel dito puntato ed i commenti di chi non riesce a capire e comprendere. Ed anche chi ti vuole bene a volte non comprende, ed a volte ci provi a parlare, a tirar fuori l'argomento, a far capire che andare a pranzo fuori è un fottuto problema, soprattutto se prima ti sei allenata, se ci sono altri pasti liberi in programma, se non ti vedi, se se se..ma le frasi che senti ripeterti son sempre le stesse, chi fa battute, chi la mette sul ridere e scherza, chi prova a "consolare" ma fa solo peggio e non è nemmeno colpa loro. La colpa sai bene di chi è, di cos'è e tutto questo ti manda ancora più in tilt. Così si finisce per fingere che sia tutto a posto, lo si mette da parte e si fa passare un altra giornata

You were out with the girls when you got a text off Nick's phone.

Mommy, please come home. Lights up your phone screen and you are quick to say goodbye to the girls before going home.

"Mommy, mommy," your kids are quick to cling to you when you walk into the house. You scoop up your daughter before walking further into the house.

"Where's daddy?" you question wondering where your husband is.

"Dad left. He doesn't love us," your son states hopping up on the counter.

"Josiah get down and your dad loves your very much," you sigh.

"He never spends any time with us and when he does we bring up the fact that he spends no time with us he shuts down," he says not realizing how much it affects his father.

"Your dad really loves you. He just has hockey and he can't always be around like I can," you say hoping he would understand since he's older.

"Whatever," he shrugs going to his room. You carry Lilla down to her room before tucking her in and walking to your room. You knock on the door and your husband opens the door.

"My own kids think I don't love them," Nick scoffs.

"Baby they don't actually think that," you say wrapping your arms around him. He shrugs out of your embrace and walks away from you and further into the room.

"Yes, they do. Josiah just said I don't love them," Nick shouts.

"Nicky they do. You know how it is with the season."

"Yeah but I don't want it to be this way. I want my kids to think I love them," Nick says before leaving the room and going to the basement. Your kids come down the hallway to see what's going on and you are quick to call Kent to pick up the kids.

"Uncle Kent!" Lilla smiles, happy to see her favorite uncle.

"Hey kiddo what's up?" he asks picking her up.

"Josiah says daddy doesn't love us anymore," she says not quite understanding the whole meaning behind it. Kent gives you a look and you just shrug before he takes the kids. You walk to the basement and see Nick leaning against the wall a broken mess.

"Baby come here," you coo pulling the defensemen into your arms.

"What kind of dad am I if my own kids don't think I love them," he puts his head on your shoulder as the tears fall from your face.

"You are a great day baby. A great dad to the 2 kids we have now and a great kid to the one on the way," you smile placing his hand on your stomach.

"Your pregnant," he smiles.

"Guess your pull-out game isn't as strong as it used to be," you laugh as Nick wraps his arms around you.

"I love you," he whispers.

"I love you," you whisper back.

I asked around the internet for answers about my An, Edd n Eddy family theory.

Most knew that his parents were absent in his life.

So my confirmed An, Edd n Eddy theory could be that his parents are actually his aunt and uncle.

About Lilla:

Lilla is half Australian because her father was Australian and her mother was Canadian/American. She was born and raised in Sydney and has been a smart student playing piano and doing arts. She works at a daycare center in downtown Peach Creek.

About Rodney:

Rodney has a twin brother. He studies nature around him. He works as a zoologist and zookeeper and also drives a zoo train, explaining that his house has a backyard zoo.

About Ryder:

He was inspired by Lila (his mother), Rodney (his father), and Steve Irwin to play a role as an outback hero and on outback adventures to study and save nature.

Ryder has 2 fangirls Bella and Bonnie Bo Peep, and both wanted to have their chance of dating him.

Sarah tried to date him because Edd wouldn't accept her proposal, but Ryder already rejected her because she's too young and who knows if she'll bark orders at him.

Molly and Sandy:

These two mischievous girls love playtime, and loves to chase Edd around.

Lucy:

She loves wonders about things and always wanted to be like her "big brother" Edd.

Origin of Edd's adoption:

Rodney had visited Peach Creek from somewhere in Australia to meet with his brother because he wanted to see what he and his wife were doing. However, he didn't see anyone in the house, just Edd keeping up with the daily chores.

He asked "Hey, Eddward... Where are your parents?"

Edd answers "Mother and father are busy at work. So I have to do all of my daily chores by reading reminders from sticky notes".

"Do they... like... reward you or something?" He questions further.

Edd wondered... "I actually don't know many times I've been rewarded... Like an allowance?"

"Yes". He said, "Do they reward you to save up for stuff and such? Are they always around?"

"Certainly not" Edd replied "I've seen them a few times, but not much."

This rang a few alarm bells on Rodney's mind. He decided to call his family on coming over to Peach Creek.

After the family came over to Edd's house, Lilla was in charge of taking care of him, and asked anyone in the neighborhood if they had known anything about his parents.

Rodney got answers from Charlotte that his parents abandoned him.

Rodney, Ricardo, Edna, and Charlotte had told Lilla the situation and Lilla was shocked.

Rodney and Lilla decided to adopt Edd, and asked Charlotte to get back against Rodney's brother and sister-in-law.

This was the message to Edd's parents:

"To parents of Eddward,

Your son is not a butler!"

This triggered his parents, and rushed to the house Rodney was in.

"WHAT'S THE MEANING OF THIS!?!? WHY DID YOU KIDNAP MY SON!?!?" Edd's father yelled.

Rodney answers boldly, "I've seen what's going on. You have neglected your son, and never try to stop a girl who has been chasing him. Even someone can tell you some answers of what you've done."

Rodney and Lilla also looked deeper that what was under his hat was the last time he talked back to his parents. Edd had been abusively punished when he was little giving him scars. Edd wouldn't show what was under his hat because of it.

Edd's parents were sentenced to seminar by Charlotte, and they lost custody of their son.

Edd was 13 when he was adopted.

Okay so Valerius' parents have tried multiple times to get their only son engaged, ever since he was in his early-to-mid twenties (for context: as of the chapter I am currently writing, he is sixty) and for the most part, it has never gone ahead. Rozalia and her surviving husband, Casimir, both wanted their future heir to marry into a wealthy house with political connections. They have the Dragavei name and have done their best to pull themselves out of the aristocratic equivalent of the gutter, but not much else - thus it was important to Rozalia especially to return their house to a former glory.

Out of the seven attempts, not including Camellia, there's only three I would consider to be worthy of note.

The first one is that he courted the (at the time, younger) Countess Caliphvaso. Or rather, Valerius was Carmilla's boytoy while he was in his mid twenties, and Rozalia had hoped that her son's dalliance with the new Countess proved a more...fruitful union, but Valerius refused to try pursue the Countess in marriage. He understood that arrangement for what it was.

The closest they got to getting him down the aisle was with a fellow Caliphasian dhampir, a young svetocher like him called Lillanthe Raduva (she is introduced in chapter 2 of Seven Unholy Roads as his ex-fiancée and the replacement for Lady Konomi) when he was at the peak of his career as a legalist in the ctiy, but he broke off the engagement when he entered Urgathoa's service as a Tyrant. He did have some affection for Lilla, enough that it serves as a source of jealousy in the court once Camellia returns.

The third notable attempt is referred to in this current chapter I'm writing (chapter 4) - at the same time as Valerius was proposing to Camellia and preparing to announce their wedding formally - his father was arranging a match with a fellow Moroi called Volsazni Dezarr - who, along with his numerous dhampir progeny - is a Nidalese Kuthonite whose preferred way of inflicting pain on themselves was to direct holy and solar magic upon their flesh and feeding from holy creatures like aasimar. In this case, Valerius would have been able to pick his consort from the line-up that Dezarr offered, but even if he hadn't been engaged to Camellia, he would have refused. Even for him, the Kuthonites go too far in the matter of pleasure and pain intertwined. (Devarr is mentioned in the 1e sourcebook Nidal, Land of Shadows. I cannot see him being pleased to hear that one of his dhampir children will not becoming a consort)

Aside from those three, there'd been some discussions of marrying him to Varisian or Ustalavic heiresses, but they'd only been discussions.

ok so some obvious things straight up. he's azula, he's lady macbeth, (which. very interesting because these women could easily be considered masculine figures in their stories but tbh villainy in media always includes some level of the character acting in ways incongruent with expectations of their gender.) he's reaching for a goal that is unachievable and he's losing everything in pursuit of it and when he realizes he's done it all for nothing he loses his mind entirely. out damned spot out

he's not a physically strong or imposing character, he's sly and cunning, traits often given to female villains, also his weapon choice, I said this to hella in an ask gathering cobwebs rn but he uses poison!! poison is his weapon and poison is a woman's weapon, all the way back to like, medea. I actually found this really interesting thing real quick just by taking a quick google search for poison as a woman's weapon:

it's a weapon of intelligence and elegance, it doesn't leave a mess, it's for a death that's clean and pretty (also so often the reality of death by poison is a brutal and choking one, which. ughhh you get me) however women also die more by poison, which is interesting but idrk where to go with that. also in general it's a weapon of betrayal and intimacy of COURSE it would be rin's weapon.

anyway girl trauma time. ok so admittedly some of it is just vibes like I was just sitting around like "hmm the specific way rin is impacted by kiva and lugalia and how he handles it FEELS very Girl Trauma™️" which is obviously not a very academic way of discussing that. and like obviously trauma and trauma responses are not exclusively linked to your gender but he doesn’t feel like a man with mommy issues he feels like a woman with mommy issues you know? he's full of grief, not hatred. also this is coming from me who does not have eldest daughter syndrome and does not know a man with visible mommy issues so. take it with a grain of salt.

anyway he's a middle son who acts like an eldest daughter and I don't just throw that around because I kinda don't love when people say "this man has eldest daughter syndrome" when they just mean parentified like you can just say parentified it isn't always eldest daughter syndrome but rin HAS eldest daughter syndrome and I actually feel like that's a bigger deal here because he's NOT really being parentified like kiva actually does very well with parenting drako so rin doesn't need to step in or anything. no, rin is an eldest daughter because he has to be uniquely aware of kiva's mental state in a way drako just. isn't. drako knows lugalia was awful obviously and that kiva hates her for good reason but drako doesn't really seem aware that it's made kiva. not the perfect mom. rin is bearing the brunt of it all, he doesn't know about lilla obviously but he has to sit with the knowledge that something is holding kiva back from him, he can tell. he's also being permanently held to this standard he'll never meet.

a firstborn in general but especially a firstborn daughter is supposed to be your perfect example, the child always going above and beyond meeting your every expectation which lugalia does to him in the most obvious sense but kiva is also holding him to a standard he can't meet. she's holding him up next to lilla. obviously she's not hoping to replace lilla with him in fact it's the exact opposite but the fact he ISN'T truly her firstborn he CAN'T truly be lilla is something that keeps kiva from loving him properly. he isn't lilla he can't bring back lilla he will never be lilla he will never be kiva's firstborn daughter and the impossibility of this standard is HAUNTING THEM BOTH. very interesting that being the middle child gave him eldest daughter syndrome btw lmao. (also I saw this tiktok (<- bad start) that I sent a screenshot of to hella in ANOTHER ask that's gathering cobwebs but supposedly older children coming out of their mothers leave dna behind in the womb that becomes a part of the next kid can we TALK about the rin+lilla and drako+rin implications of that???)

and then the way he HANDLES his issues. he doesn’t really blame kiva OR lugalia he doesn't even seem fully acknowledging that they've done him wrong he just keeps reaching for these standards he'll never be able to meet. if he can just be the perfect heir he will no longer feel the ghost of lugalia digging her fingers into his shoulder if he can just be the perfect son kiva will love him wholly but this isn't true and it's not his fault but he won't see that because if something isn't wrong with him then it means something was wrong with the women who raised him and if something is wrong with them he's spent his life reaching for something he can't have and if he's spent his life reaching for something he can't have then where does he even go from there? how do you move on? it's all been futile? unacceptable.

Kalim and I are very similar types of messes of people and as much as I love him and would kill for him I would literally just be making Jamil's life harder and also I am an introvert at heart and would struggle to keep up with Kalim's enthusiasm haha both Kalim and Lilia have money so there's no economic strife and they both are in a band which is another unfortunately basic thing that I'm into lmao

So that means I am marrying Lilia. I mean okay, obviously man's been around the block and is like a GGGGGGGGGILF (greats^infinity probably) so you know that he can handle himself in like any situation and it's bomb. The biggest probably is that neither of us can cook but that is what getting to-go food is for or idk maybe there is a decent chef in the Briar Valley (I know Lilia would be sad that I didn't eat his cooking but baby my tummy can't do this). Obviously there's the angst of him outliving you or whatever but since he can change his form I at least know that I can force him to actually look like an adult with me so I'm not like in my 50's and having everyone call him my son (or I would kick his ass if he did that, you know he would try).

Yew trees like to grow where there is water, that is, next to springs. Ull might be an old spring god, since even his name might mean this.

Turville-Petre observes that Ullr place names can often be found near places named for the gods in general, such as Ullarfoss near Goðafoss and Ullarklettur near Goðaklettur; in Our Troth Volume 1, the authors speculate that such pairings may show that “Ullr and all the gods” was done for reasons beyond alliteration.

(However the nerd Erik Elgqvist has his own speculation about “Ullr and all the gods” and the cauldron in that stanza. Why a cauldron? It makes little sense, but if Ull is a god of wellsprings, it suddenly makes sense.)

Com'è andata ieri:

La giornata di ieri è stata bellissima perché si è dispiegata piano piano in modo improvvisato

Al mattino ho fatto un giro per il centro per comprare la tinta lilla ed eventualmente fare una piega. Sono finita a prendere la tinta, e a tagliare i capelli. Roba da pazzi. Di fretta e furia son tornata a casa verso pranzo, ho applicato la tinta per 10 min, ho rubato dei peperoni/delle patate dal pranzo e poi sono ri-salita sul corso per il taglio. Dopo sono andata al San Giovanni (ahahah il tuo nomee) per dare una mano a pulire le sedie blu (quelle della conferenza, si vedono in una delle mie stories).

Finisco di lavare alle 16:15, dopo torno a casa per aggiustarmi/truccarmi e tornare alle 18:00 per fare ufficialmente volontariato

Il lavoro consisteva nel registrare il nominativo di tutte le persone che arrivavano, e poi dare in omaggio una bag del mudiac. Ad un certo punto mi aspettavo arrivasse anche Francesco. Non lo vedevo da sei mesi, avevo il cuore a mille per l'impatto che ci sarebbe stato. E che poi è avvenuto. Abbiamo passato tutta la sera più o meno assieme a parlare, sia tra di noi sia assieme con altre persone. È stato surreale, mi ha chiesto di inviargli la mia tesi perché la vuole leggere. Sto ancora elaborando il dispiegarsi degli eventi e come io mi sia sentita a riguardo

È stato bellissimo fare il tour delle opere sparse in giro per il centro storico con così tante persone interessate. Non avevo mai visto persone riunite in vari angoli della città, mi sembrava veramente strano. Di solito sono vuoti i vicoli, ma ieri erano tutti pieni di gente...speriamo di essere riusciti a coinvolgere i cittadini. Che non sia stato soltanto un evento perso nel tempo
