I'm never too busy for gammafrost.

Here's my latest gammafrost fic from September 2022 if you missed it.

I really did get fed up enough with the MCU fandom and how they behaved generally (as a generalized group) as well as how they treated me specifically, to the point that I really don't remember most of what I was going to do with little cuts and at this point it will almost certainly never be finished or tbh probably even get added to after this. BUT. It was going to eventually have a whole plot(s), including thorkyrie and gammafrost romances.

Planned parts of the gammafrost plotline included but were not limited to:

Loki esoterically explaining magic and strongly implying that Bruce himself has some magical prowess as evidenced by the existence of Hulk, an implication which Bruce refused to hear

The whole fake dating thing the fic above set up

Loki and Bruce playing pranks on select Avengers during the time they are in Wakanda (referenced in Take & Give, AO3 is down so I can't link it RIP) and still don't know Loki is on earth, in which they get caught and Loki disguises herself as Shuri - and later Shuri gladly taking the blame/credit

A suitably fucked up First Time in which Loki was having one of their Unlovable Monster Moments and took Jotunn form to prove to Bruce that they're inherently dangerous, but out of concentrated solution of pettiness and horniness Bruce spontaneously figured out how to do a partial Hulking and go green and un-frostbite-able only where Loki touched him

A short one where Bruce - not a morning person - couldn't find a spoon for his yogurt and simply ate it out of the container with his tongue, the witnessing of which caused Loki to semi-involuntarily take female form because she wanted him to do that to her so bad

Loki becoming a Broadway musical playwright overnight via as much influence as talent and taking Bruce to the premiere of his rap opera (because flyting) romcom retelling of a Norse legend I have now forgotten, which also would have revealed that Loki was indeed lying about his betrothal to Freyja in Palate Cleanser

I also did really wanna do a deeply romantic direct sequel to Smash (Me Baby, One More Time) and Some Little Thing... Alas.

After months of research and development and market testing and perfecting the first item I feel confident selling online, I have realized... that it is an incredibly niche item that only a specific subset of absolute nerds would want to buy, and I will have to do a ton of explaining the basic idea over and over again before people generally get what it is I'm even selling. #this is like the time I spraypainted a bunch of screw heads gold #because I was putting up gold spraypainted shelf brackets and wanted these black screws to not stand out #and to make it easier I took a piece of thin cardboard and cut a series of Xes in it #then pushed the screws in a little bit and positioned it over the gap between boards on the back deck #and used my hammer to just plonk those screws into place so I could spraypaint them! #i felt so clever I posted a video of it #(gold spraypaint makes me feel giddy and childlike) #and everyone was like #“GIRL NO YOU CAN'T DO THAT DON'T TRY TO *HAMMER* YOUR *SCREWS* INTO A DECK!” #it took like. so much work to try to explain to people why this was a problem I wanted to solve #much less the mechanism by which i solved it #my brain is just. Happy Fanfic Friday!

If you could have one of your fics (completed or WIP, either way) become Official Canon™️, whether by being included as a chapter in the source novel or airing as an episode in the show or some other means, which fic would you choose? Would you pick that one because it fits pre-existing canon, because you like it that much, or some other reason?

Extremely tough question, because frankly? I don't think any of my fics really belong in canon...

But! If I have to pick, can I pick a series? (Yes, I can do what I want.)

I'd pick little cuts, which is a Thor MCU series about Loki and Thor repairing their relationship and their background and such. It's both pre-canon, within canon, and a canon divergence from Ragnarok on. Loki lives and Thanos et al take a nice long while to make it to Earth.

I think it does fit with canon pretty well (excepting the parts that it diverges from lol). And I certainly like it much fucking better than I liked the actual Loki show we got. (Since it's a series, I'm figuring if it was to go canon it would be a show. God, what I wouldn't give to have executive control over a Loki show...)

But yeah. I hated Infinity War, and Endgame, and Loki, and I haven't even bothered to see Love & Thunder yet, if I ever will. I won't claim I could do better than that one, because again I haven't seen it, and also because I know Waititi at least to generally make good work. However. I will absolutely assert that I could have done better than the other three, story and character wise. I'll say it! And I'll believe it, too. So there.

Additionally! My version has a bisexual (sans label) Thor, and a more textually queer Loki - both in sexuality and gender. And! Thor still gets fat in mine, but it's depicted as a good thing and a relief! And!! My fucking Bruce!! Is in character!!! And Loki shapeshifts on "screen". As animals, and other genders, and his Jotunn form. And uses his Silvertongue.

[And, for the love of God, if given the power I would insist on as much practical effects as possible, and actually good and well paid for CGI when absolutely necessary.]

[And!! IF I was going to have a selfcest plotline. I! Would! Make! Tom! Hiddleston! Kiss! HIMSELF!!]
