I feel like Tony would watch Narcos and Lost In Space with Peter on his movie nights.
They would watch Narcos when they are bored and Lost In Space when Peter is a little tired of Star Wars but still wants to see something about space (Until the Blip and all that shit).
Ps: Peter would say that Pedro Pascal looks like Tony just to make him mad HSHSH.

anon: Who named Tony? Was it the Starks or the birth parents? I know Howard’s middle name is Anthony too
from international iron man #7:
Tumblr media
anthony’s actually a pretty common name and howard’s ego is swelled and undeserved, anyway, at least for the time tony would have been born (in the modern day), and his uncle’s name was edward, too; tony’s name in and of itself just doesn’t have a deeper meaning or a particularly neat or horrible story to it.

My Fathers Daughter pt 10
A different perspective
Tumblr media
Dick Grayson has always been used to being the first.
He was the first Robin, the first son, the first to be picked for almost anything.
Hell he was the first child as far as he knew. So imagine his surprise when he finds out his mother not only has a whole secret daughter, but one that she completely abandoned.
He could still hardly believe it.
He couldn't stop thinking about the night they found out about her. The look on Christine's face, it was one he's never seen before. The look of shock and almost disbelief, like she had seen a ghost.
In a way she did.
The ghost of the life she left behind with Tony and Y/n Stark. Now Christine was trying so desperately to revive it. As if she didn't murder it with her own hands. And while Dick himself had reservations with these actions, Christine was his mother before anything, and he was going to help her no matter what.
So here he was, standing outside the bedroom of his mothers long lost daughter, trying to figure out something to say. It shouldn't be too hard, seeing as Jason of all people managed to get you to open up.
And yet, here he is. Unable to muster up the courage to simply knock on the door.
"This is fucking ridiculous", Dick thinks to himself, "Just knock, what's the worst that can happen?"
Lost in his own thoughts, Dick didn't notice the shadow under the door, and was startled by the sudden swing of it opening and you standing there.
"I can hear your thinking over my music." You said a little annoyed," Is there something I can do for you or...?"
Dick blinked trying to gather all of his thoughts, he really didn't know what to say to you. This is the first time you've said more than three syllables to him.
You stared back, face revealing how uncomfortable you were getting with this prolonged eye contact.
"Riiiight, so im just gonna" You say taking steps to shut the door in his face
"Wait!" The raven haired man shouts, "Wait, please."
You stop with a sigh and open the door, inviting him in, " Alright, come on."
Dick walks in, looking around at the room that actually used to be his when he first moved in.
He mentions as much trying to break the awkward silence.
"Hm, and you were okay staying in a room that was copied from a dracula movie?" You say snarkily
"Well to be fair I was 12 and watched my parents die in front of me, I wasn't really looking at the decor." He says half joking.
You made a face and looked away, feeling even more awkward.
"Anyways, I just wanted to you know...see how you were settling in" Dick starts, " Its been a few months and it feels like we hardly even see you."
You pause, thinking of what to say. But before you even have a chance to say anything Dick continues.
"You know, moms really excited that you're here." He starts, " Honestly I don't think I've ever seen her this excited over anything. She's usually very level headed."
You stare at him
"I mean, you know how she is I suppose she is your mother too."
You stare
"I know she probably really missed you, she gets lonely sometimes you know? Everyone here usually has their own thing going on and we don't really get to see her as much."
Nothing from you
" Well, I guess she see's Damian more than any of us but that's because he's basically her baby."
Okay...that hurt
"I mean, I think he was the youngest when he came to use, I think he was like nine or something. And he was not the easiest to get along with. So don't worry that he hasn't warmed up to you yet."
You hum, already irritated with this conversation.
"He's also really protective of our mom, she's done alot to make sure their relationship is as good as it is." he says offhandedly, " Actually she's done it for all of us."
"Oh really?" You ask with no real intrest.
"Yeah! I remember one time when I was little she always made it a point to spend time with me even though she was so busy." He says fondly.
You decide to play along and remince on the memories that you buried long ago.
"You know, when I was younger, Christine used to take me out of school and take me to see ballet shows." You say with a slight smile, " I was in classes back then and loved watching the older girls dance."
Dick smiled, feeling as if he made some progress with you, " Really? I think she actually takes Cassie and Steph to those sometimes, you should ask to tag along I'm sure she'll love it."
You cringe, feeling another needle in your heart. Not even your memerioes were sacred.
"Yeah no thanks." You reply harshly, " I don't like ballet anymore."
Dick pauses, shocked at the sudden shift in atmosphere.
"I--"
And before he can say anything you cut him off, feigning a yawn
"Hey look, not that I don't love our little chats, but I am beat."
"Oh! right, sorry I guess it is getting a bit late.."Dick say hopping up from your bed and walking to the door, " Y/n, you know its really nice talking to you. You should try and open up more."
You smile sarcastically, " you know, something you and mother have in common is that you both like talking at me, not to me."
And with that you shut the door, promptly ending the conversation and sending Dick spiraling.
In fact, the statement bothered him so much that he went seeking a second opinion.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Yeah... I don't know how to help you man."
"Oh come on! Jason, you and her are like...bosom buddies or something."
"Bosom buddies? How old are you?" Jason scoffs, " Look, what you and everyone here doesn't understand is that Y/n has a family waiting for her. She's not going to except mom as her mom because her mom is still alive and well."
"But...technically our mom is her mom." Dick says hesitantly, " And if I were her I'd be thrilled to have my mom back."
"Dick. Your mom didn't abandon you for a different family." Jason says annoyed he's not getting it, "What the hell is wrong with you, you're usually so level headed about this stuff?"
Dick pauses.
To be honest he doesn't know why he's being so hard headed about the whole situation.
He knows that he doesn't like seeing his mother sad, and lately seeing her face when you reject every move she maked to make amends is heartbreaking to him.
That was his mother. The woman who took him in as her own when his biological parents died.
The same woman that stayed by his side no matter how moody, rude, and bratty he first acted when he first arrived. She took his grief on as her own and basically put him back together along with Bruce. He can still remember the night he considered her his mother.
He had just started out as Robin, and had just got back from patrol. It was a rough night.
First, it was the middle of autumn and raining heavily, he and Bruce weren't getting along this particular night and he overall was just having a bad night. So needless to day he was a little rougher with the baddies he was fighting tonight.
Bruce had already reprimanded him throughout the night about his unnecessary force but Dick did not want to hear it. It got so bad that Dick was just going off own his own without Batmans orders, and thats where the trouble began.
Dick had jumped the gun again, throwing himself into a fight with some drug dealers , not realizing that there were one too many for a fourteen year old to handle by himself. They quickly overpowered him, and ganged up on the poor boy.
He was given quite the beating before Batman caught up to him and basically saved him.
In pain and with a bruised ego, he had to listen to yet another lecture from the irritated (actually extremely worried) dark knight, and one from Alfred who was also extremely worried while he cleaned up the child.
He has finally marched to his room in a huff and after he shut the door, was finally able to reveal in the fact that he almost died. He was lost in thought, finally feeling the fear and pain in every move he made as he tried to crawl under the covers when he heard a knock on the door.
In she came, with a tray of goodies she personally made,staying home from a business trip he had known she was going to go on. She crawled into the bed with him, held him to her chest and allowed him to cry.
"You may be a big brave superhero" She said to him, " But here in this home, you're my son. My baby, and you are allowed to cry if you need to. I won't judge you. I won't say a word."
And he did. He cried.
He cried because he was hurting. He cried because he was angry. Angry because he was beat up. Because he was lectured all night. Because he missed his parents.
But most of all, because he felt as if he was forgetting them. He was having such a good time at the Wayne manor, grew to love the Waynes as the parents they intended to be to him. He felt as if he was betraying his parents. The parents that had raised him up to that point.
And here he was, laying cuddled up to Christine the same way he would with his mother. But at this point the two of them are blurring together, to the point where he can't tell where his mother ends and Christine starts.
This woman, took him in and wrapped him in love.
Love that he thought he would never feel again after that tragic night.
A love that, he honestly cannot imagine never having.
It was something that he couldn't begin to repay her. He wouldn't know how. Where to start.
Rekindling his mother with the daughter she lost. Gave up.
That was the least he could do. He'd do it for her.
But, after the conversation he had with Jason, he went home and thought about it. Actually really thought about it.
The year he came into the Wayne's lives, Christine stopped going on her business trips.
Not all at once, but she would push them back.
Usually because Dick had needed her.
She pushed her trips back until eventually, she just stopped going.
She hadn't said much, just saying that she realized that she was needed at home more than they needed her over there. But even at that age, Dick noticed she was sad. She kept her composure around the family, but once Dick had seen her crying in a pantry deleting something off her phone.
He had thought it was weird but after a few months she was okay.
No crying, no sadness.
And... now that he thinks about it. While he was being wrapped up in love there was another child in New York, who's life was being completely unraveled. All because of him.
And maybe...the reason he was trying so hard to rekindle you and Christine wasn't really because of Christine.
But because since that night, the night you were revealed to be her daughter, he did the math. And he just wanted to give you back the mother he unknowingly stole away from you.
Since you found Tony's old football jersey from your college days, you have been plotting a plan to wear it in the hopes of getting a reaction out of your husband. Today is perfect for that, as you're visiting your Mom in California, and she offered to take all three of your wonderful kids to Disneyland with her fiancé, Jackson.
"You two can stay home and have some alone time; you deserve it, Buttercup. You've been working so hard, and now that you're finally able to see him after he's been gone for filming, you should make up for some of the lost time," Virginia told you with a wink, and even though you were a little embarrassed at first, you also know she's right.
With three kids, it's proving to be rather challenging to have some time to yourselves and be intimate, so this is the perfect solution. That's how you find yourself standing in the bathroom in your Mom's house, wearing only your glasses and Tony's dark blue football jersey. The fabric reaches down to your knees, and your nipple piercings show through the fabric for a bit of a teasing touch.
With one last deep breath, you walk to the kitchen, where Tony has just finished the dishes from the lunch he prepared for you earlier. He turns around at the sound of your footsteps on the tiled flooring, but before he can say anything, he is greeted by you, clothed as if you walked right out of one of his wet dreams.
"Fuck, Sunshine, you sure know how to surprise your man," Tony growls as he walks over to where you're standing. As he takes in your form, he can already feel himself growing hard inside his sweatpants, which doesn't go unnoticed by you.
"I thought we could have some fun on the couch, My Love. The kids are with Mom and Jackson, so we have this all to ourselves," you whisper in his ear as you pull him closer by his shirt, his breath hitching as his now hard and sensitive cock makes contact with your soft belly.
"Who am I to say no when my beautiful wife looks like she walked out of my dreams?" Tony answers, his voice dropping an octave as lust fills it. Your hands glide under his shirt, pulling it over his head before discarding it.
Before you move on to anything else, you let your long nails rake over his sensitive nipples, a moan escaping from Tony's slack lips as you smirk up at him.
"Always so sensitive for me," you tell him before standing on your toes and taking his bottom lip between your teeth, biting down softly as he moans again. His long, dark lashes fluttered against his cheeks as he took in the pleasure.
"Good boy," you whisper against his mouth, his bottom lip lightly swelling, making him look even more beautiful than he already was. You kiss his tattoo softly as he lets his hands glide into your hair to ground himself gently.
"Let's move this to the couch, Sunshine," Tony tells you with a slight New York drawl, pleasure already taking over his brain. As you proceed to push him to the couch, you can feel yourself getting more and more wet with every step you two take. As soon as his legs hit the couch, he lets himself fall, spreading his thighs to give his achingly hard cock some room as it strains against the fabric.
Your legs are placed on each side of him, the jersey riding up dangerously high as you take your place. Your ass and pussy are barely covered when you sit, Tony's hands rubbing your thighs as he takes in the sight in front of him.
"You're so fucking gorgeous like this, Sunshine, 'm very lucky with you as my wife," he whispers before capturing your lips with his and taking the lead, effectively taking back any domination you had over him. You moan into his mouth as he slips in his tongue, his fingers digging into the inked flesh on your thighs.
As he glides his hands up your thighs and under his jersey, he finds the bare globes of your butt, kneading them softly as you start to move your hips to get a little friction, the fabric of his sweatpants relieving the burning ache of pleasure between your thighs.
"Can you look at me for a moment, Sunshine? I've got something important to tell you," Tony whispers in your ear, and that's when you realize your eyes have slipped shut. When you open them, you look into his dark brown eyes. As he takes a deep breath, you can't help but think about how beautiful he looks, and a smile tugs at the corners of your lips.
"I know we've been talking about adding a fourth baby to our family, and I can't stop thinking about it. How perfect would it be if we had a small girl who would look just like you? I can't stop thinking about it, you with your perfect, round belly as I drink from these amazing tits of yours before you make me a Daddy again," Tony says, another gush of arousal leaking out as you soak Tony's pants even further.
"Please, Sunshine, will you give me another baby? Let me fill you up with my cum until you're beautifully round for me as you carry our daughter?" he asks as he nuzzles his nose against your throat, your head tipping back to give him even more access.
"Yes, My Love, please! I want all your delicious cum inside me, and I want to make another baby with you; I would love to add another name to his amazing tattoo of yours," you tell him, your fingertips gliding softly over the ink proudly displayed on the firm plane of muscle. The sun, moon, and stars look beautiful; your kid's names make it perfect.
And with those words, it's officially decided: you and Tony will add another baby to your family. Whether it will be your Little Prince or Princess, it doesn't matter because you both know they will be loved deeply. And before it's time to find out, you can have all the fun in the world when you're making your newest addition.
Tumblr media
"Let's get the jersey off, hm? I want to touch my girl the way she deserves," Tony says, and you nod, lifting your arms in response to his question. During all this, you never stopped rutting your hips over his cock, his release almost there as he lifted the fabric.
"That's it, Sunshine, you make Daddy feel good," he tells you with a breathy voice. As soon as the fabric is over your pierced breasts, making them spill out and bounce before him, he loses every ounce of self-control. Groaning loudly as he cums in his pants like a teenager, a deep red blush covers his cheeks and neck as he rides out his orgasm under you.
"Ah, did you cum already, Baby? What do you think? Do you want Mommy to clean up her sweet, blushing boy?" you purr in his ear, and he nods as you slide off his lap and take your place between his legs. Your fingers hook around the fabric of his sweatpants before tugging them down, revealing the sticky mess he created not even a few minutes ago.
His cock is lying soft between his thighs, but it's by no means small, and you're already drooling at the sight. He whimpers softly as you take hold of his sensitive member, your tongue licking clean every single inch of him.
"M-Mommy, please, wanna drink," Tony whispers, and you smile before getting up, taking your place on his lap again. Tony has always enjoyed drinking your breastmilk now that you’re breastfeeding your son Paxton, and it’s something you both highly enjoy each time he does, whether it’s in a sexual manner or just to calm his mind.
"Yeah? Do you want to drink from Mommy? Go ahead, Baby, take what you want." As soon as the words have left your lips, he's latched onto your breast, suckling heavily until the first spurts of your breastmilk hit his tongue, and he sighs contently as his brain calms down at the feeling of the pierced nipple in his mouth.
Your head falls back as Tony drinks from you, and you can't resist sliding your bare pussy over his thigh, the friction feeling delicious together with the feeling of your husband drinking from you. Soft moans leave your lips as you brace yourself with your hands in his hair, pulling it as you can feel your orgasm creeping closer.
Tony seemingly gets the hint as he flexes his thigh muscles, and with only a few more thrusts over his thigh, you're falling apart with a chant of his name. He groaned before letting go of your one breast, only to quickly latch onto the other, which he drank happily from as you rode out your orgasm.
"That's it, my sweet boy, keep drinking from Mommy," you tell him as you guide him to sit with his back against the couch, his mouth never leaving your nipple as he sucks to get more of the precious milk he loves so much. You let yourself recover from your orgasm as he does, just enjoying the intimate moment with your husband right now.
By the time he's finished, he is also fully hard again, your hand wrapped around his cock as you jerk him gently, earning yourself soft moans and whimpers from him that have your pussy dripping within no time.
On days like these, when Tony's letting you take the lead, you're feeling a power you've rarely felt, and you love using him for nothing but your pleasure. And he loves being your human fucktoy, too.
"Do you want to make Mommy feel good with this delicious cock of yours? Want to fill me up with your cum to give me a baby?" you ask Tony, and he nods with a dopey smile on his face, eyes glazed over as they're looking at you from underneath his long, dark lashes.
"Please, Mommy, wanna fill you up," he whispers, his hand gliding over his chest to his cock, grabbing the base as you get in position on top of him. As much as you and Tony love missionary, moments like these make you like cowgirl even more. Riding Tony to his orgasm as you can play with his nipples, pull his hair, or have him do the most unthinkable of things to you have you clenching already, and he's not even inside you yet.
The moment you sink onto his cock, you can feel every single vein on it, the stretch giving a positive burn as it feels like you're being split open. When he's soft, he's already big, but when he's hard? You can barely take all of him in your mouth, and the stretch of your pussy is always something you have to take your time with. He doesn't tell you that he'll feed you his monster of a cock for nothing, after all.
"Oh, fuck! Such a perfect cock for me, Baby, splitting me open so well! Can feel you in my belly," you whisper when you're fully seated, his balls pressing against your ass while you adjust to his size. Moans are tumbling from both your lips, and Tony can't stop digging his fingers into the flesh of your hips, a pussydrunk look on his face.
"S-so tight, Mommy, such a tight pussy for me to love," he tells you after pulling you closer, the warm metal of your piercings a stark contrast against the rest of your flesh. His face is nuzzled in your neck as he breathes in your scent, and you pepper soft kisses on his hair and neck.
C'mere, sweet boy, give Mommy a kiss," you tell him, and he obediently lifts his head, meeting your lips with his in a heated, passionate moment that has his head reeling in no time. Your tongue slips into his mouth effortlessly, dancing with his in a loving, sensual way while his hands are wrapped loosely around your waist, yours tangled in his soft locks.
When you pull away, you put your forehead against his, and you feel his cock throb inside you as you make small, teasing grinds against him. As he looks up at you with sweet, puppylike eyes, your heart flutters, and warmth spreads through your chest at the sight. You're very fortunate to have fallen in love with Tony, and it brings a smile to your face.
"What's funny?" he asks as he pecks your lips, and you place your hands on his cheeks, rubbing them softly with your thumbs.
"Nothin'. I was thinking how lucky I am to be married to you and have our three beautiful Munchkins. You saved me and supported me to become the best version of myself after everything that happened, and I love you more than I could ever tell you," you whisper, trying to fight back the tears as you think back to everything that had happened before you had the chance to meet him.
"I'm the lucky one, Sunshine, got a beautiful wife-" he says as his hands wander over your inked body, fingers trailing carefully over the tattoo you got in his honor. "-and three beautiful babies too. 'M the luckiest man on earth," he tells you with such a sweet, soft voice that you can't help yourself as the tears spill over and Tony quickly wipes them away.
"I love you, Tony," you whisper as you pull him close, needing to feel him for a moment. He happily pulls you against his chest; his face nuzzled in your neck while you place kisses on his shoulder. The moment feels perfect, and you're allowing yourself to bask in the love shared between you two.
After a while, Tony's starting to feel a little restless as he tries to rut his hips up into you, rubbing the tip of his cock against your sweet spot each time. You allow him to do his thing as you let him go, and before you know it, he's flipped you over onto the couch, your back now feeling the soft fabric while Tony pounds into you at an unrelenting pace, making you see stars.
"Fuck, that's it! Fuck a baby into me, Daddy, I'm close!" you tell him, and with a shout of his name, you cum, clenching down on his cock as he keeps fucking, his orgasm nearing too. In an effort to ground yourself as he’s bringing you to your high, you take your nails over his back, and it only intensifies the pleasure he feels the deep stinging of your nails scratching his back. A loud groan escapes him before his pace gets sloppy, and you know he’s close.
"That's it, Sunshine, take it, take all my cum! Got so much for you- balls are so fucking heavy all for you," Tony pants out, his pace faltering as he spills every last drop of his cum inside you before carefully pulling out of you.
"I love you so, so much, My Love. Thank you for being the best husband I could have ever asked for," you whisper to his freckled skin, and he hums in response as he's coming down from his high. This was a much-needed moment for the two of you, and you're very grateful for every last second of it.
Tumblr media
The two of you took the good part of an hour to bask in the glory of what you two did as you whispered sweet nothings to each other and exchanged a sea of kisses and soft touches. Now it's time for a much-needed shower, as you're covered in dried-up sweat, cum, and arousal, and you're starting to feel a little sticky everywhere.
"C'mon, My Love! Let's hop in the shower, and after, we can watch a movie on the couch," you tell Tony, and he agrees as he gets up from the couch, though his legs still feel like they're made out of jelly. As he falls back onto the couch, you can't help but chuckle at the sight and take a moment to take in the sight in front of you.
Tony's seated on the couch with his eyes looking at you intently, his cream-colored skin slightly flushed from the exertion you have put him through. His broad shoulders, the chest hair trailing down to his toned abs, and his happy trail all led to his delicious cock. If he weren't already entirely spent, you would have happily spent more time on your knees worshipping it, but instead, you reach out your hand to help him again.
"You like what you see, Sunshine?" Tony says shyly, and you feel a heat roaring up inside you. There's nothing you love more than when Tony's shy side comes out, making him look even cuter. It's something all your kids have, too, and it's a trait you adore about them.
"Always do, Handsome," you tell him as you pull him up, finally making your way to the shower. You both take your time washing each other's bodies, and Tony can't help but pay some extra attention to your nipples, rolling and tugging carefully on the barbells adorning them to coax more moans out of you.
"Let's get you settled on the bed, My Love - you've been such a good boy for Mommy that you deserve a back massage," you tell him, and he can feel his cock jump at your words. The sight of you being pregnant shoots through his mind again, and he has to use every ounce of self-control not to bend you over the bed and take you right then and there.
When he's lying on his stomach on the bed, you go and straddle his thighs right beneath his butt before dripping some of your favorite massage oil onto his muscled back. With a soft hum, you start massaging it in, starting at his shoulders as you rub out the knots there.
"God, how did I get so fucking lucky?! Got a beautiful wife with a body to die for, an amazing personality, and great at massaging? I must have won the jackpot with you, Sunshine," he grumbles as you work out every last knot in his back, relaxing him completely as every bit of tension melts under your skilled fingertips.
"I'm lucky too, you know; I get to see the nice ass you have back here every single day," you tell him with a playful smack on his butt cheek, a deep chuckle escaping from his chest that has your butterflies go crazy. Even after a few years of marriage and over a decade of being together, he still makes you feel like you did the first time you met him.
When the massage is finished, both of you get dressed in matching grey lounge outfits, with 'Mr. Stark' and 'Mrs. Stark' embroidered on them, together with your wedding date. Both of you wear your glasses to finish it off, and now it's time to relax until everyone comes home.
As you watch a few movies together on the couch, you're constantly cuddling, kissing, or having a little make-out session between feeding each other various sorts of fruit until your belly starts to rumble around dinner time, and it's time for the two of you to order some take-out. Before they all went out the door, Virginia slipped Tony some money for dinner, and even though you two could easily afford it yourselves, she wanted to take care of you on your relaxing day.
"Pizza?" "Pizza!" you answered, and before you knew it, you were seated in Tony's lap while watching the fourth Harry Potter movie and munching on the pepperoni pizza Tony ordered. The only thing that could make your evening even better was seeing your Munchkins again; luckily you don't have to wait long for that to happen.
Around 8:30 PM, you hear some stumbling. Hudson and Orion are running into the living room, practically lunging themselves onto the couch where you and Tony are cuddling as the fifth Harry Potter movie is just starting.
"Hi, my sweet Munchkins. Did you have fun with Nanna and Jackson today?" Tony asks as he pulls Orion onto his lap for a big hug. Hudson is already curling against your side for his fill of cuddles.
"We did! We went on all the rides, and Gramps bought all three of us a stuffie to bring back," Hudson told both of you, and your gaze shot to Jackson, your Mom's fiancé, as you fought back the tears. This is the first time you heard them call him anything other than Jackson, which genuinely warms your heart.
"Yeah, see? I got Mickey Mouse, Orion got Minnie Mouse, and Paxton got Winnie the Pooh because it matches his sweater," he continues as he shows off his new stuffed animal.
"And have you said thank you to Gramps yet?" you ask them, to which they nodded profusely.
"Good, now you two can prepare for bed because you've had a long day today. I'll be with you to tuck you into bed in 10 minutes, okay?" you tell them, and they nod before getting up and going to the room they're sharing, both ready to go to sleep shortly after.
"And now it's time for some cuddles with my Little One," you sigh happily as you take Paxton from your Mom. He's asleep as you place a soft kiss on his cheek, reveling in the cuteness that is your youngest son. He looks exactly like Tony, making your heart flutter whenever you see it. Now, all you need is a little girl who looks like you and the entire set will be complete.
"How did he do today?" Tony asks as he straightens out Paxton's little sweater.
"Oh, he did amazing! He was delighted to meet some of the characters; he ate like a champ and slept perfectly during nap time as the twins were playing on one of the playgrounds. None of them caused us any trouble at all," Virginia tells you both, and you rest your head on Tony's shoulder as you take in the sight of your son.
It's clear to everyone that the baby fever has officially kicked into full gear for both of you, and there's nothing you have ever wished for more. One more baby will complete your family, and you can't wait to meet them when they're here one day.
I've been saying this for years but I've finally found the funniest way to say it, in the MCU Tony Stark isn't so much Peter Parker's father figure as he is his deadbeat dad figure. Like Tony shows up once a year to take Peter to a baseball game kinda vibe. Tony in homecoming is like hey kid I know I haven't seen or spoken to you in months but I bought you something and that's basically the same as emotional support. Tony taking Peter to Germany in civil war is like when your deadbeat dad tells your mom you're having father-son time but he's really just taking you to his guys' poker night and trying to get you to cheat for him. When Tony says you're nothing without the suit then you shouldn't have it, it's like when your dad says if you're not going to follow my rules in my house you can leave, I put a roof over our heads what else could you possibly want from me. Tony mourning Peter after infinity war and calling him his kid is like when your dad only wants to hang out with you after he's lost custody. Like well and truly deadbeat behavior no wonder the fanon is like that
I finished binging Miss Fisher again:
"So why did you fall out with Howard, anyway?" Steve asked, slouching down in his seat as the car inched up the driveway. He hadn't asked before, and as he'd watched Peggy's hands tighten on the steering wheel as they passed through the gates to the Stark mansion, it finally occurred to him to wonder why he wasn't still involved with SHIELD after being one of the founders of SSR.
Peggy worked her jaw delicately. "We had a disagreement about values," she finally said.
"I can't imagine why," Steve muttered, and relaxed a little when the corner of Peggy's mouth curled up.
"Well, he'll surely enjoy me coming to him for help," Peggy added with a sigh, pulling to a stop. She took a moment to take a deep, fortifying breath, then let it back out slowly, giving Steve a glance out of the side of her eye. "And that I'm bringing you."
"I can thank him for looking for me so long," Steve agreed, and turned to unfold himself out of the car as Peggy did the same. Even though she was in her sixties, she was still sprier than he was; cars had gotten smaller while he was in the ice, somehow.
The door opened before they could knock or ring the bell, and Peggy brightened a little, greeting, "Mr. Jarvis."
"Ms. Carter," Mr. Jarvis answered, voice clipped, and her smile faltered as quickly as it had arrived. He bowed slightly, motioning toward the sitting room on the left. "Mr. Stark will be down to see you presently."
Steve took it as the dismissal it was, wondering at Peggy's reaction. There was so much about her that he didn't know. So much about the world he didn't know. His years in the ocean had done him no favors. He stared at a painting of peaches and tried not to think about how much he'd lost. Then his ears caught the sound of footsteps on the stairs, and he turned, clasping his hands behind his back as he instinctively fell into parade rest.
The man coming down the stairs was not Howard, Steve realized, even though he looked a lot like him. Anthony, he remembered the file saying. Howard's son. Steve hadn't believed Howard would ever settle down, but here was proof, walking casually down the stairs as if they had all the time in the world. To their surprise, he used the post at the bottom of the stairs to swivel directly to face the sitting room they'd been directed toward, walking over like he was meant to be there.
"Tony," Peggy said, and she was unable to keep the surprise out of her voice.
"Aunt Peggy," Tony answered, voice measured. He crossed his arms over his chest, raising an eyebrow. "Or should I be calling you that?"
Peggy sucked in a sharp breath and closed her eyes, looking vaguely annoyed, then opened them again. "Tony, I'm here to see your father."
"I'm the only Mr. Stark here," Tony told her flatly, scowling. "You'd know that if you ever called. Mom said she wanted to take a trip around the world while they still had their health, and they left three months ago. You'd know that if you read the society papers." He waved his hand dismissively. "And just so you know? I'm not really inclined to help. You didn't make it to a single one of my dissertations even though I invited you. You stopped coming to my birthday parties. You didn't even come to my coming out party," he added, and that last part was where Steve finally heard perhaps the first real emotion Tony had shown since he appeared on the stairs--hurt.
Omega, Steve remembered suddenly, at the mention of a coming out party. Tony didn't carry himself like the typical omega, he thought, tilting his head a little. But then, high society always carried themselves a little differently, he remembered. Howard had never carried himself like any of the alphas Steve had grown up with. It stood to reason that Tony would be much the same.
"Tony," Peggy began gently. "I'm sorry that my falling out with Howard affected you, too. I should have tried harder to stay in touch. But you were a child when that happened."
"And I was just as much of a pain in the ass then," Tony scoffed, rolling his eyes. "If they made a fuss about me talking to you, I would have just screamed the house down. I was good at it," he added with a huff.
Steve figured with the way Peggy winced, he was telling the truth.
"Whatever. I don't want to hash this out. What does SHIELD need from my dad? I'll pass the message on when they call next week," Tony continued before she could say anything else. "Maybe. If I feel like it."
Peggy looked like she was considering pressing him, but whatever she saw in his face, it made her back down. "It's about your mother's gala, Tony."
At that, Tony's gaze sharpened, shoulders straightening as his posture changed from dismissive to alert. "I'm in charge of the the foundation while Mom's on vacation," he said, sharp-edged and stern. "What would Dad have to do with that?"
"Hydra is trying to reestablish a foothold in New York," Steve finally answered, taking a step forward. "They intend to slither in through charities, because they believe it's easier to launder money that way. We believe several members will be trying to infiltrate the Maria Stark Foundation, and the gala will be where they make their move."
Tony swiveled to him, eyes calculating. "And who the fuck is this?"
Peggy glanced at him sharply, silencing Steve from answering. "This is the lead agent on the case, Agent Roger Stevens."
Tony pursed his lips, and the look he gave Steve wasn't entirely disgust, but it wasn't... not entirely disgust, either. Steve found himself sweating a little, and he couldn't quite figure out why.
"I suppose if I tell you that I'll take care of it, you'll poke your nose in anyway. Omega can't handle it," Tony said, lifting his chin at him aggressively.
Oh, Steve thought, wondering if this was how Bucky felt when Steve had raised his chin at him and asked, 'You wanna fight, too?' Tony thought that Steve believed he was incapable. "I'm sure you can handle it," he answered carefully when Peggy simply raised an eyebrow at him. He cleared his throat when Tony rocked back on his heels, clearly skeptical. "I just wonder. How you're going to arrest anyone. You need... authority from a governing body to do that."
Tony stared at him, unimpressed. Steve let the moment hang there, waiting. Adding anything else would be too risky, too likely to offend him. Steve had, unfortunately, not gotten any better at interacting with omegas. The only tried and true way to stay on their good sides, he'd found, was to shut the fuck up.
"So citizen's arrest doesn't count?" Tony finally asked.
"You have to hand the person you arrested over to a judge or police officer. I can detain them at SHIELD," Steve answered, and he thought he sounded pretty reasonable.
Tony scoffed. "Why? What can you do that the police can't?"
"Waterboard them, obviously," Steve deadpanned, then winced when Peggy's elbow rammed into his kidney.
"We do not waterboard our prisoners. We are not the CIA," Peggy told Tony sternly.
Tony's mouth dropped open into a surprised little 'o.' Then he threw his head back and laughed, loud, and Steve saw Peggy's shoulders relax, just a little. Maybe this would work out, Steve thought, allowing himself a small smile.
Tony Stark has an awful sense of smell. Horrendous, honestly. It helps him work longer in the lab, seeing as he can't smell the three week old food, or the never ending chemicals and motor oil, or the disgusting inside of the Iron Man suit.
It helps at social events, as well. It's a blessing and not a curse to be unable to smell the overwhelming mix of perfumes and colognes in the company parties. He can avoid the temptation of alcohol on peoples breath. The one and only time Peter tagged along to a company get-together, Peter informed Tony that the latters inability to smell is his real superpower, not the suit or his ability to create it. The kid went home from the party early, with a headache.
There is one smell that Tony can smell, and he is incredibly sensitive to it: burning. He can smell burning from rooms away. It always takes him back to how he imagined his parents car wreck, a burning car. Or his time in the cave, burning metal to weld together his only chance at life, always waiting for the burn of hot metal on his skin curtesy of his kidnappers.
So it's only fitting that Space smells like burning metal. Its only fitting that he lost his son surrounded by the acrid stench.
Ch. 2 "Reminiscent of our days"
Word count: 5.4k
The rest of the week passed, and you decided to take your therapist's recommendation. It was a simple task, so simple that it became complicated.
Don't run.
Your back hurt, today and the day before, every day when you got up from the couch, cold and sore. That was the task, to stay in the house even after the fights, even when the anger was uncontrollable. You did, you stayed, but you didn't know if that was best for you or Wanda, not when you both ended up tangled in the sheets of your bed, your bodies touching with nothing but tension and anger coated in passion.
Even if you and Wanda ended up in bed, at the end of it all, your stubbornness wouldn't let you stay next to her, too angry at you for falling for her touches again.
It was killing you, slowly it was, and you didn't want to admit it. You didn't want to admit how toxic your love had become, you didn't want to admit that loving Wanda made you hurt, so hurt that your heart was squeezing in your chest, not with love, but pain.
You didn't feel good, with that constant feeling of distrust and love mixed with anger. You were tired, and at this point, you didn't know how much more you could stand it, watching your love turn into something unknown that took away all feelings of happiness.
This week of therapy had been much more charged than you thought, the tension in the car when you were left alone after dropping your children off with Pietro and Monica felt suffocating. Your hands were sweating and your shoulders ached with the tension in them, you could also see Wanda's knuckles on the steering wheel white. She sighed every now and then, shifting in the seat uncomfortably.
You weren't feeling well, least of all when you sat on the couch in the office, your therapist frowning when she noticed the awkward silence between you.
"So, this week we are going to go over the root of the problem," Your therapist explained softly, jotting down a couple of things in her notebook. Out of the corner of your eye you saw Wanda nod, relaxing on the couch, unlike you, who tensed up even more. "Usually when people come to see me, they either want out and don't know how to tell their partner or are desperately trying to save their relationship."
You gave Wanda a look, and she looked back at you, it seemed like you were both trying to come to the same consensus, but something in her look made you feel lost.
"We want to work, right?" Wanda said, and the therapist looked at you, there were a couple of seconds your head hesitated, it was only a second, but you knew Wanda had noticed.
"Yes, we do." You said nodding, and you could feel Wanda’s intense gaze fix on you.
"Okay, so," The therapist took both of your attention again, putting her pencil and notebook aside. "When did the fights start?"
"When my fellowship started." You said first, cutting Wanda off before she could talk. "You see, uhm, I work at a sub-company of Stark industries, and a few months ago I got a promotion and I was offered to work with my friend Tony on a prototype in DC. It was a one in a million kind of opportunity, and I took it."
"Of course you took it," Wanda mumbled the words, but you heard them turning your attention to her with a frown. She arranged herself in her seat, rolling her eyes in irritation. "You love Tony Stark."
"No, I love my work," You retorted, your jaw tensing. "It was a lot of money, and it was for a year only."
"Oh, sure, you love your work so much that you choose it over your own family." Wanda tilted her head at you, her eyes piercing yours angrily, and your face fell at her insinuation. "You wanted to leave your kids for a year because of a stupid project."
"Don't you dare even for a second to insinuate that I prefer my job over my kids," Your words were so sharp and clear that Wanda's breath caught with guilt. "I can't believe you would say that, to imply that, when you were the one who told me to go."
Your hands clenched your cell phone as you made your way to the kitchen, Wanda was stirring the pan on the stove. She looked up at you, throwing you a warm smile, which the moment you didn't return and she noticed your blank stare, it disappeared, her hands dropping the spoon and lowering the fire. You watched her make her way to you, a worried expression on her features.
"What's wrong?" Wanda asked you, her hands going to your arms, gently stroking them up and down, giving you a little courage.
"I got the promotion." You replied, and Wanda furrowed her eyebrows in confusion before smiling at you.
"That's great, honey." She said, but your look was still lost, complicated, and she decided to stroke your cheek with her hand. "Isn't that what you wanted?"
"They offered me a fellowship to work on a project with Tony." You replied softly watching Wanda raise her eyebrows in surprise, her hand falling from your cheek to your neck, her eyes encouraging you to continue. "It's for a year... in DC." You saw Wanda's features falter for a moment, and shook your head. "I'm not taking it."
"You should, uhm," Wanda denied as well, clearing her throat and letting go of your neck, taking a step back. You saw her gaze change, her smile seemed to tell you something else, but you couldn't decipher exactly what she meant. "You should take it."
"But, the kids-"
"The kids are with me, we'll be fine." Wanda cut you off by turning to the stove and turning it back on. "Just ask the kids what they think and make a decision from there." Wanda didn't look at you after that, focusing on the soup. You sighed walking out of the kitchen a few minutes later.
You remembered the conversation with your sons perfectly, Billy and Tommy had agreed with you, not upset with the idea of you working away. Billy had made you promise to bring him a couple of new outfits for his plays and Tommy had asked you for a couple of action figures in return. Your kids were fine with the idea, and you had also taken the liberty of thinking about calling them every day and taking a couple of days a month to visit them.
"I just assumed you would choose to stay with them over a fellowship and I was wrong." Wanda explained and you snorted, you could hear your heart pulse in your ears at the anger. "I never implied that you loved your work over our sons. That'd be ridiculous."
"I talked to them," You replied, relaxing in your seat and taking a seat again. Wanda looked at you and you looked at her too. "You are mad because they didn't tell me to stay."
"You didn't ask me, but it doesn't matter, you should have known that I wanted you to stay." Wanda told you with disappointment and you raised your eyebrows in indignation. "You are supposed to know."
"No, I don't." You replied, shaking your head at the ridiculousness of the situation. "I'm not a mind reader, I can't just know what you're thinking."
"You usually did."
Wanda was tired, you could tell by the way she collapsed on your couch with a sigh. Your hands went straight to her waist, pulling her to you confidently, making her half smile as you left a kiss on her forehead.
"Bad day?" you asked, and Wanda nodded snuggling into you. Your hands went to the TV remote, automatically putting on one of her favorite sitcom episodes. "You want ice cream? I bought the one you like."
You were about to move, but Wanda's hand stopped you in place, her eyes meeting yours. It was a second you stopped to read her gaze, you noticed how they spoke to you without a single word and you knew how she felt.
"Come here, baby." Your words were soft, you knew how those bad days for Wanda were, the uncontrollable sadness she felt. You held her gently, feeling her sobs crash painfully against your chest. "It's okay, I've got you, let it go. I'm here, love, I'm not going anywhere, shh, I love you so much."
Wanda shook her head, memories flashed through her head squeezing her heart. You had been such a pillar in her life, helping her with her insecurity issues, her fear of abandonment, the horrible days she had when everything seemed to fall apart around her. She needed you.
"I did when we were young, when it was fun to play around and be cryptic, and mysterious, challenge each other to figure out what we were thinking." You explained, your words squeezing Wanda's heart even tighter. "But we changed, we are old, and you are my wife. I assumed that I shouldn't have to do that anymore."
"You assumed wrong then."
"Really, Wanda? Why do you have to be so stubborn? Why can't you admit you weren't honest with me and that you fucked up?" You saw Wanda shook her head, her gaze avoiding yours and looking at her rings as her fingers played with them. She was nervous, but you knew why, why maybe everything had gone to shit. "We grew out this stupid crap long ago. This stupid fights because we decided not to be honest with each other about what we really felt." You said, relaxing in place, your eyes still on Wanda, and you decided to get her attention and grab her hand. "I came back for you, I dropped the project and I'm here."
The first three months in DC went great. You were happy to be able to get your dream job, you really were, and your kids seemed happy. Sometimes you could tell they missed you, but you always came home each month and they seemed fine. They were fine.
But Wanda wasn't. Every time you came home, Wanda seemed determined to fight with you, whether it was over the stupidest things. The daily calls with her, had become once a week or once every how often. You were worried about losing her, about ruining the perfect marriage you had, so you decided that going back was the right thing to do. You had made a reputation, worked with one of the most famous engineers and made money that could help your children in the future. You felt complete.
When you arrived home in the evening, you knocked softly on the door, expecting to meet your children, but Wanda opened it, giving you a short glance and turning on her heel. You walked in with your suitcase, setting it by the door and closing the door carefully. You knew Wanda was angry after the call the day before where you had called her selfish. She stood away from you with a frown, watching as you pull out your jacket.
"I guess you did decide to show up and drop everything for me," Wanda said with a brute tone, the words coming angrily from her lips. "My apologies if you missed something important, I wouldn't want you to think that I'm also a bitch besides the egotistical part."
"I'm sorry," You apologized, a grimace passed over your features. Wanda was still staring at you with her arms crossed. "I shouldn't have called you that, I'm so sorry."
"Yeah, you shouldn't have," Wanda nodded, her posture relaxing. "I wasn't just thinking about me only, Y/n, Billy has a play next week and Tommy's tournament is in two days. I want you there."
"I know, and again, I'm sorry." You said, Wanda took a deep breath as you approached her. "I just don't want you to get mad at me for not being here when I'm working there. And I also don't want you to tell me you're fine when you are not fine with me being gone."
"I am fine."
"No, you aren't, stop saying things you don't mean."
"Are you calling me a liar?" Wanda jumped defensively and you denied, trying to relax her by putting your hand on her arm.
"No, I want you to tell me what you really feel, not what I want to hear. We are together in this, okay?"
"Sometimes it doesn't feel like we are."
"And I'm sorry for that." You said, trying to eat the urge to tell her that she had told you to go, but you didn't want to fight with her anymore. "I dropped the fellowship."
"You did?"
"Yes, I still need to go back to finish some paperwork, but I'll be back for good this time."
"Okay." Wanda nodded, and you moved your hand to her cheek.
"Okay," You repeated with a smile, Wanda smiled back before moving closer and meeting her lips with yours. When you pulled away, your forehead rested with hers. "We good now?"
"Yes, we are."
"Good."
"I missed you,"
"I missed you too."
"You are here, but you're also not," Wanda said, letting go of your hand and sighing. "You hate me because I made you give up the only thing you had ever wanted. You are here, but you hate to be."
"No, I don't hate you, and I also don't hate to be here." You said, shaking your head, part of you breaking at the thought of the fear Wanda must have felt when you left. You knew she had that fear of losing you, of being alone. "Being with you is what I want, not the stupid job or Tony. You. I want you."
"Even after what I did?" Wanda's words clashed with your ears, your heart squeezing and your muscles contracting, your body tensed and at that you saw Wanda's defeated look release yours.
Wanda knew what she was doing was stupid, she even had the notion that it would hurt you, but something deep inside her forced her to ignore the feeling in the pit of her stomach.
She forgot you, for a second inside that conversation she was having with Vision, she forgot what her life was about, too consumed in the pain you had caused her by leaving, too focused on the despair that losing you and being alone caused her. She knew she had never told you, or even admitted it out loud to herself, but the fear of losing you consumed her all the time, the fear of thinking you would fall in love with someone because she wasn't enough, or just the thought of having to go through everything completely alone. It was irrational, but Wanda didn't know how to stop, even when you hadn't given her any reason to think about it.
Maybe it was because you had been married for eleven years, the fear that the love you had for her would fade over time.
"Are you okay with doing this project with me?" Vision spoke to her, his hand firmly grabbing a glass of whiskey. He looked at her sitting next to him at the bar, which he had invited her to, and Wanda nodded, her hand clutching her glass of juice. She wasn't planning on getting drunk. "I could ask to be changed, I wouldn't want to cause any problems to you."
"That's not necessary," Wanda smiled encouragingly at the man, biting her lip softly thinking of you. She told you about Jarvis, and you knew him only by his nickname, but Wanda knew that, even if you didn't show it, you were cautious when it came to him. "I don't see why working with you would be a problem."
"Because of your wife, Y/n," Vision explained, bringing the glass to his lips afterwards, and Wanda shook her head, it was just work, nothing more. It wouldn't bother you to think about the extra hours she spent with her co-worker. "She may get the wrong impression, after all, this project is basic, and you don't need a skilled programmer to do it."
"But I wanted you," Wanda said, her tone having gone up an octave, using the typical tone she used to flirt with someone. Her hand gently patted Jarvis's arm and she smiled sideways. "Maybe it's not necessary, but I asked for you because you're the best." Wanda knew what she was doing, that innocent flirting she had almost forgotten about from her days in college, the same flirting she had used on you. She told herself it was just a joke, that it wouldn't go any further than that, and you were far away, you weren't there. "I heard you graduated from Princenton, right?"
"Yeah, I did indeed," Vision smirked proudly. "I graduated with..."
 That was a week after you left, and it went on for most of your stay in DC. The after-work outings to the bar, hours and hours of off-topic chatter in the office, the intense, short glances as they both worked on the project, that air of tension surrounding them. It never went beyond that, and Wanda never planned for it to be anything more. It was just a game. Innocent flirting.
You knew about the project, and Wanda had told you that it was Vision she was working with. You hadn't given it any thought, and that bothered Wanda, to think that you didn’t care about her in the slightest, but you did because you trusted her, you did with your life.
Wanda knew that the innocent flirting couldn’t reach you, you could never know that part of her was trying to conquer someone who was not you. But she knew that anyone who plays with fire, gets burned eventually, and she did.
"Vision?" Wanda put on her jacket, fixing her hair carefully, giving the man a look as she put her things away on the office desk. She needed to end that stupid game with the man, more so now that you had told her you were coming back to stay.
"Yes?" Vision stood up from his desk with his suitcase, taking a couple of steps to the woman. Wanda sighed looking at him, played with the ring on her index finger and Vision noticed, nodding. "I heard she is coming back."
"Yes, she is," Wanda nodded, he took a step towards her, getting close enough to make her raise her gaze a little more. "We can't keep doing this."
"Doing what, Wanda?" Vision asked, tilting his head in confusion and then nodding. "Working on the project together or that we started to like each other?"
"I didn't..." Wanda shook her head, she didn't like Vision, she liked you.
"You started what we have now, you can't deny there's something here." The man touched Wanda's shoulder gently, and she didn't move. "I like you, Wanda, and you can't tell me you don't like me too when you enjoy this as much as I do."
"I'm married."
"It didn't seem to be a problem when we flirted."
"I love her, Vision." Wanda shook her head, the adrenaline she felt kept her from moving. She hadn't realized how close Vision was now, how his hand had already gently grasped her cheek, and how he was moving closer to her, but she didn't move, even as her head screamed so loudly on your behalf.
And it happened, she burned herself so deep that she didn't know what possessed her to close her eyes and bring her lips together with the man feeling the different texture of his lips and the different movement he had to pull her closer to him. When she opened her eyes, the world stopped for a second, her heart stopping abruptly in her chest, her stomach clenching in guilt. Panic settled in her viscera, those eyes looking at her were so unfamiliar that they made her feel completely lost.
Wanda took a couple steps back, turning away from Vision with her hand over her mouth, shaking her head. She didn't say a word before she left the office, almost running to her car. She tried to compose herself as she drove home, tears forming in her eyes along with that ball in her throat, but she swallowed it down.
She knew you were home when she walked down the porch, the living room lights on. She slowly walked in, pulling out her jacket and hanging it on the coat rack, before you lifted your head from the TV to her with a smile from the couch.
"Hello, my love," You got up from it, walking softly towards your wife with a half smile, but stopped when you saw her expression tilting your head worriedly. "The kids are in their rooms sleeping. Hey, what's wrong? Are you okay?"
"I-" Wanda spoke, but her voice came out in a whisper, your hands grabbed hers, and you felt how shaky Wanda was.
"Hey, it's okay," You said, releasing one of her hands and bringing it to her cheek. The touch made Wanda clench her jaw. "I've got you, it's okay."
"I kissed Jarvis." Wanda said and your hand released her cheek almost instantly, your brow furrowing as you took a step back. The lack of contact caused Wanda to press her lips together.
"You kissed who?" You asked confused, you didn't know anyone named Jarvis.
"Vision."
"Oh, wow," You let out an offended laugh, your heart squeezing with pain and anger. You shook your head, clenching your fists watching Wanda approach you, but you held up your hand to stop her. You had never cared enough about Vision to care what his real name was, instead of the ridiculous nickname he had. "I leave for what, three months and you are already screwing someone else? What the hell is wrong with you?"
"I'm sorry, okay? I wasn't thinking." Wanda said, her lip quivering, but you didn't let it bother you, the feeling of betrayal was too much to make you want to hug her. "I slipped, I didn't mean for it to happen."
"How many times?"
"It only happened once." Wanda said, running her trembling hands through her hair, looking at the distance between you with a pained expression. "Nothing else happened."
"Like that could make me feel any better." You blurted out wryly, shaking your head. Wanda took a step towards you and you crossed your arms in front of your chest, your angry look making the woman sigh. "Did nothing else happen because I came back or because you felt too guilty?"
"Nothing happened because I love you."
"So, were you thinking about how much you loved me while you were kissing him?" You asked and Wanda gave you a hurt look. "I can't believe how selfish you are. You wanted me here, but you were also cheating on me with your co-worker at the same time?”
"Selfish?" Wanda blurted out offended, guilt sinking in with anger. "I wasn't the one who left."
"Oh, I'm so sorry that I went to work instead of looking for someone else to fuck." Your words came sarcastically out of your mouth and Wanda widened her eyes in surprise at your words, her expression changing. "Maybe I should have since you were doing the exact same thing behind my back."
"You would have cheated on me?" Wanda asked, her voice rising in indignation and you held back the words of denial, you were blinded by anger. "And then you have the nerve to say anything to me about it."
"Of course I do, it wasn't me who did it."
"Saying you would cheat on me is just as bad."
"No, it isn't! You're incredibly manipulative," you said, shaking your head and Wanda raised her eyebrows at your words. "I'm not going to let you make me feel guilty for your mistakes."
"Manipulative? What? Are you listening to yourself?" Wanda let out a short laugh of indignation, and you clenched your fists, taking a breath of air. "You're so damn stupid to think I am anything but manipulative."
"Of course I am." You said, shaking your head, and walking past her, picking up your shoes and putting them on. Wanda looked at you, the words she said came in time with her brain. "I'm so damn stupid that you can cheat on me so easily."
"I never thought..." Wanda stopped when she saw you put your jacket on. "Where are you going?"
"To Nat's house." You said standing up straight and straightening your clothes. You saw Wanda look at you scared, and you clicked your tongue, irritated at how her look made you feel, you hated to see her scared. "I'll be back tomorrow morning, and we'll talk about what we're going to do."
"Stay."
"After everything you've said, I'd better not. You don't want to either, because right now, it's really hard for me to think about staying with you in the same bed." You let go, opening the door, and with one last look at the redhead, you blurted out the words you had been holding on the tip of your tongue. "I really don't want to break up with you out of anger."
You remember that day clearly, the memories of Wanda's defeated features and eyes full of fear. It broke your heart to see her that way. But you also remembered crying like never before in your life, Natasha holding you gently as your sobs split every part of your being until you collapsed into bed, barely having the strength to get up. The next morning you had talked to Wanda, and after deciding for the sake of your children, you had decided to try to forgive her, and you did, but nothing was the same.
That was one of the reasons why you were both right now in front of a stranger, talking about your problems as if it was the only solution.
Wanda looked at you expectantly, trying to search your gaze for the forgiveness she needed to make you two work, but you couldn't do it. You sighed, watching the eyes of the love of your life fill with tears, and put your hand on her cheek.
"I love you," Your words broke her, you knew it as she moved closer to you clutching you in her arms in desperation. Wanda hid her head in your neck, sobs escaping her lips, and your eyes burned, tears accompanying the pain in your chest. You knew this was the end for the two of you. "I love you so much, but I can't do this, I can't keep pretending I'm fine when being with you hurts too much."
Wanda shook her head separating from you, her forehead meeting yours, her hands gently squeezing your neck.
"Please," You felt her tears meet yours on your lips, that many times you had felt after the countless fights ending in sour words and tears of pain. Wanda kissed you and you kissed her back. "We can still work."
"We tried to fix this many times, my love, we can't keep hurting each other. I can't let the love I have for you become this, I can't let our love die like this." Wanda's breath collided with your lips and your tears spilled even more knowing it would be the last time. "I forgive you, I forgive you for everything, and now it's time you forgive yourself too."
"I ruined us, didn't I?"
"No, honey, no." You shook your head, an encouraging smile on your lips, as you awkwardly tried to wipe away your wife's tears.
****
"Sometimes things just don't work, that doesn't mean it's my fault or your mom's, we just don't work anymore as a couple." You explained in front of your children, sitting on the floor in the middle of the living room. Wanda was next to you, Tommy looked at both of you confused, but you knew Billy had understood what you had told them. "I still love your mom, and I care about her so much, but we aren't going to be together anymore."
"I still don't get it." Tommy said, tilting his head to one side and with his hand pointed at Wanda and you. "Does it mean that you aren't going to be our mom anymore?"
You sighed and looked at Wanda for a second, she was about to speak, but Billy spoke instead. You were surprised to see him so calm, but you knew that behind his look there was a hint of sadness.
"It means that they are going to break up, like Cindy and Tommy." He said explaining to his brother, and you smiled, watching as Tommy nodded, looking at you curiously.
"They don't speak anymore. Are you and mom going to stop too?"
"No, darling, your mom and I won't stop talking," Wanda said, and you nodded. "It just means that your mom will be living somewhere else, and that she won't be around the house all the time."
"Exactly, but I'm not going to stop visiting you or coming here anytime you want me to." You said, and they both nodded. "You'll come see me at my house and stay with me if you want to, and we'll go out time to time to watch a movie or whatever you want to do. It'll be different, and it may be hard at the start, but just know that I will always be here for you, okay? I'm not leaving you, I'm just moving out of the house."
You saw Billy get up from the floor, followed by Tommy, and then you felt him hug you. You thought Tommy had gone for Wanda as usual, but you felt him hug you too. You tried to close your eyes, holding back the tears that threatened to escape your eyes.
It was a short hug before they both nodded and went off to do their things. You laughed softly and beside you, Wanda did too, both of you thought it would be harder and with more tears shed, but it seemed they had grasped the concept faster than you thought.
"Kids, uh?" You said, giving a look to Wanda, who had gotten up from the floor already. And she smiled at you rolling her eyes, offering her hand.
"You love them."
"I do," You grabbed her, pulling yourself up with her help, and stood in front of her, looking at her admiringly. You would be lying if you said you no longer loved her. "We did a good job, didn't we?"
"Yes, we did." Wanda smiled, biting the inside of her cheek, the silence between you felt lighter, comfortable. "Where are you staying?"
"With Nat. She'll help me search for an apartment to rent this week."
"She is going to be so annoyed with you."
"She already is." Wanda let out a giggle at your comment and followed you as you started walking toward the door. "If it wasn't because Maria is there, she'd probably have thrown me out of the window by now."
"Maybe you should behave." Wanda retorted, and you smiled sideways, looking at her with an eyebrow raised.
"You know I don't like to." You said making Wanda roll her eyes, and before opening the front door, you turned to her, stopping her in her place. "I'll miss you."
"I already do."
"You think maybe we should..." You asked unsurely, looking shortly at Wanda's lips. That was enough for her to nod and move closer, grabbing your chin and guiding your lips to hers. It was a soft, slow kiss, a kiss goodbye after all those years that belonged to you alone. You didn't want to be the first to stop, nor Wanda, you both didn't want to, but the air ran out and the warm feeling of her lips on yours disappeared. "I love you, Wanda."
"I love you too, Y/n."
With that you walked out of the house, the door closing behind you. Reality hit you like a bucket of cold water, and you sighed walking to the new car you had bought. As you climbed in, the reflection of Wanda's car flashed in the rearview mirror, slowly getting smaller until you stopped seeing it.
Sometimes love isn’t enough to fix everything.
“Are they going to be okay?” Sam asked out loud to the people around them as they all turned to look where Sam was looking. And there by the lake were the two teen’s most affected by Tony’s death.
“I sure hope so.” Steve sighed sadly as they watched Y/n and Peter from afar.
“At least they can lean on each other.” Bucky pointed out. He felt really bad for Y/n. She was always kind to him and while he was gone due to the snap Y/n had.
“He lost his mentor and she lot her father. Granted for the first 8 years of her life Tony was pretty absent. But once he became Iron Man he was there for her as much as he could be. Even canceling things to spend time with her.” Pepper told them with a watery smile as she watched the girl that became like a daughter to her.
“Peter lost his parents young. Then was moved into the custody of May and his uncle. But not long after his uncle passed. Tony was more than a mentor to him.” Happy added with a tight sad smile.
Sam shook his head, running a hand down his face. “These kids have been through enough.”
“Agreed.” Bucky nodded and it shocked Sam and Bucky that they agreed on something. Shocked the other’s as well, but not as much as normal considering the topic and they all knew Y/n was pretty close to Bucky. And they could all agree with Sam.
Over by the water down at the edge of the lake. Y/n and Peter stood together looking out towards the water. It was peaceful.
“I’m sorry, Peter.” Y/n said to him as she leant her head on his shoulder. Y/n knew her dad meant more to Peter than just a friend or mentor. So she knew it had to be hard for him.
“I’m sorry too, Y/n. He was your father.” Peter spoke, wrapping his arm around her shoulders to comfort her.
“He acted like one to you as well.” She squeezed his hand and nuzzled her head into his neck. “At least you knew the best version of him.”
Peter grimaces a little. “I guess it sucks that he wasn’t always so close to you huh?”
Y/n nodded with a sad smile on her lips. “Yeah, it did. But he more than made up for it.”
Peter smiled at that. Knowing how good the father and daughter relationship had gotten over the years.
“I believe he loved you more than anything. You and Morgan.” Peter pointed out while placing a kiss on her temple.
“Me too. And I think you can include yourself in that as well. He saw you as a son.” Y/n sighs contently. They both turned their heads to look at each other with small smiles.
Dad!Tony Stark x Son!Male Reader (PLATONIC!)
A/N: This was requested over on our Wattpad! I surprisingly enjoyed writing this. It’s been about a year since I’ve watched the Marvel movies so my memory is pretty rusty, please let me know if I’ve mixed anything up and I’ll give it a quick fix. Also, I’m not from America so I’m not sure with their states/cities so please point out any mistakes I might’ve made.
Y/N's POV:
Things used to be good between my dad and I, but ever since Peter had shown up, all his attention had stuck on him. It wasn’t all too noticeable at first, we would still hang out when he was free, spending our Saturday nights watching movies together.
Though it only took a few weeks for him to start to brush me off more. Similar excuses each time he rescheduled our weekly plans. “I have improvements to add to Peter’s suit.” “I’ve got work to finish with Peter.” “Peter needs help getting used to the suit.” Peter this, Peter that.
It was like Peter was his son and not me. Just like that, I was thrown into the background, a minor thought in the back of his mind, it was like he no longer cared for me.
~~~
We had a recital coming up really soon, one I had expressed my excitement to my dad before for. He used to be so proud, so ecstatic to eventually see me up on stage. I hoped this would be the push he needed to give me the attention I had so easily and so quickly lost.
Dad was downstairs in his workshop, that’s where he usually was, always working on something new to dazzle the public with. I slowly open the glass door, stepping in as he speaks up. “Peter, you’re finally here. Here, try this-” He turns around, a metal plate in his hand as he props it towards me.
“Oh Y/N. Sorry about that, what do you need?” He turns back around, placing the metal back down, keeping his attention on his creation. I silently sigh as I walk over to him, taking the folded poster out of my pocket. I hand the piece of paper to him, his eyebrows raised in confusion before reading through it.
“The recitals in a couple days, I know how excited you were to come see me, and I’d love for you to be there” He smiles, stuffing the paper into his shirt pocket. “Of course I’ll be there. Wouldn’t miss it for the world, kid.” I can’t help the smile that grows on my face, “Thanks dad. You don’t know how much this means to me.”
Dad sent a smile back my way before I swiftly left his workshop, excitedly practising my songs in my room for the upcoming day.
~~~
The day I had longed for had finally arrived. It was around 6:30pm and I was currently backstage, I was going up on stage in only half an hour. I had been practising the whole year for this recital and I was determined to perfectly execute it. I couldn’t wait for dad to see the progress I had made.
Some time had passed, the curtains would open in 5 minutes, parents and friends of the people performing with me had started to fill the seats. I looked out from the slight gap in the curtains, hoping to see my dad amongst the growing crowd.
My eyes darted across the plethora of seats, filled with unfamiliar faces. I deflate as I can’t find him, hoping, praying he was just running late.
We got into our places behind the curtains, a countdown being played in our headsets before the curtains swung open. I noticed my friends looking around for the people they invited, their faces lighting up when they did. I followed suit, taking another quick look over the crowd, never finding my dad though.
My heart pangs at the realisation, he wasn’t here, he didn't come to see me perform. Whatever. I could do this without him, I didn’t need him to make this my greatest performance. And so that’s what I did, I put my all into everything. Making it a performance he would regret not coming to see.
~~~
The recital lasted about an hour, my friends walking out with me into the cold night. The fresh air was a stark contrast to the heating anger I felt in the enclosed room. As my friends split up, they waved goodbye as they hopped into their parents cars, driving off to their homes.
I sat there, sitting on the staircase leading to the doors of the building. Usually dad would send Happy or even Pepper to come pick me up from things he wasn’t able to. But after sitting out on the chilling night, it became apparent that he wasn’t coming, no one was. I take one last look at my phone, the lack of notifications making me sigh.
Defeated, I picked up my belongings and started my journey among the dark streets of Manhattan. I dragged myself back home, walking almost sluggishly as my mind raced. Did he care? Why else wouldn’t he come? Did I do something wrong? Anger him? Maybe it was my fault he didn’t show up. Maybe something came up. But why didn’t he message me to let me know.
I’m brought out of my thoughts at the feeling of something escaping my eyes, and the taste of salt falls onto my upper lip. Fuck. I wipe my cheek, setting my mind on making it home, not wanting to fall apart on the side of the streets. I wasn’t far anyways, only another 20 minutes until I would be back home.
~~~
As I reach the front door, I unlock it with my spare keys before walking in. “Good evening, Y/N.” I hear F.R.I.D.A.Y’s robotic voice shoot from the speaker beside me. I smile slightly. “Hey Friday.” I walk to the kitchen to pour myself some water, after taking a sip I ask. “Friday?” “Yes Sir?” I look around the lit house. “Where’s dad?”
It takes a second for her to answer. “He’s in his workshop.” I nod, thanking her as I start to make my way there. Before reaching the stairs though, the sound of two voices makes its way through the glass. Dad’s laugh booming as a young boy’s follows. I didn’t even have to see him to know who was down there. Peter. I sigh, I guess I knew why dad didn't come now.
I step back up the stairs, ignoring the two as I bee-line to my room. I throw my bag onto the floor, changing my clothes as tears start to well up in my eyes once again. I curse myself, putting my clothes away before falling into bed, muffling my sniffles with one of my pillows.
“Friday. Lock my door please.” I hear her voice once more “Of course.” before the sound of a ‘click’ comes from the mechanical door. I groan into my pillow, lying to my side as I closed my eyes.
~~~
The whole night, I had thought long and hard, messaging one of my closest friends about what was going on. He offered to let me stay at his place, for as long as I needed to. We spoke about it all last night, planning for him to come pick me up tonight. It wasn’t too long of a drive, less than an hour. He lived in Hillsdale, a nice change in scenery.
I stayed in my room, packing my things in a suitcase I would use when dad and I went on his “Business trips”. Once packing all the things I wanted to take with me, I stuffed the case under my bed. I groggily walk into the kitchen, look around and not see dad anywhere. I mutter before cooking breakfast for myself.
He was probably in his workshop, working on god knows what now. He hadn’t bothered to check up on me last night, not even to make sure I made it home safely and now he hadn’t bothered to greet me. Finishing my food, I stomp back into my room, eating my food as all I can think about is how much I can’t wait to leave this stupid house.
~~~
When night arrives, I sneak to the front door, suitcase and an extra backpack in my hands. It’s not like dad would’ve noticed anyways, he was still busy ‘working’ I sigh as I open the front door, F.R.I.D.A.Y’s voice stopping me. “Where are you going this late at night, Y/N?” I checked my watch, it was only 9:30.
“I’m having a sleepover at a friend's place.” F.R.I.D.A.Y replies with something along the lines of “Have fun.” I scattered out the door and looked around for the car my friend drove, once it came into view, I made my way to it. “Hey man, you got everything?” I nod as I place my luggage in the back seat, hopping into the passenger seat.
“Yeah, thanks for this.” I buckle my seatbelt before turning to him. “Of course, I’m here for you man.” The ride to his house is mostly silent besides the quiet music playing from the car’s speaker. I lean my head back, taking out my phone as I distract myself on the long drive.
~~~
A week had passed when my phone started to blow up, messages from friends and people from school filled my inbox. “Hey, are you okay?” “Where are you?” “I haven't seen you in a while, are you alright?” However, nothing from dad. I make sure my location is turned off before continuing with my day, sitting down to watch some T.V. I scroll through channels, my eyes landing on my name on a news headline, I put down the remote as I read the whole heading.
“Y/N Stark, Son of Tony Stark, has been reported missing.” An explanation of the time of my ‘disappearance’ was reported, including the places I would most often hang out and where I was last seen, at the performance theatre our school had rented out for the recital. Shit.
I hear my friend’s footsteps behind me, “I think it might be time for you to go back, everyone’s worried sick.” My phone rings over and over again with messages, calls, mentions on social media. Everyone asked about the news and if I was okay. I shut down my phone, shoving it in my back pocket. “Yeah, maybe.”
I hear a familiar voice play on the T.V behind me, I shoot back around to face it as I see my father being harassed by paparazzi. Microphones and cameras in his face as he tries to get into his car. “Do you have any idea where he could be?” “Do you have anything to do with Y/N’s disappearance?” “Is he alive?” “Do you have any information on Y/N’s whereabouts?” A frown appears on my face as he looks at the camera, his eyes sunken and dark and his eyebrows furrowed.
“I know as much as you guys do.” He aggressively replies. “And if the lot of you don’t leave, I’ll have you all jobless by tomorrow.” The voices quiet down, interviewers walking away from the car he got into, the engine starting with a roar.
I sigh, I never meant for it to go this far. “Let’s go” I leave to pack my stuff back up again.
~~~
It’s late at night as my friend parks in front of my house, I see extra security put up to keep the paparazzi out. I turn to my friend, thanking him before stepping out of the vehicle, I pull out my luggage, walking towards the gate. As I open it, I trudge up the long driveway to the house. Making it to the top, I drop my bags beside me, taking deep breaths as the steep walk winded me.
I bring them back into my hands, pulling them to the front door. I try to quietly open the lock, keys jingling as I hear the slight ‘click’ to indicate the door unlocking. I push against the handle, pulling my bags in as I hear shuffling in the room near me.
I looked over to the living room, my dad curled into himself, maps, documents and holograms covering the table. My heart wrenches at his appearance, the lack of sleep evident on his face and scruffed hair.
I pull my bags over to the staircase. “Y/N?” Fast footsteps approach me as I turn to the noise. I can’t help the bittersweet smile that makes its way onto my mouth as he grabs my shoulders. His eyes darted across my face, looking for any sign of injury. His arms wrap around me, tightening as I feel his relieved breaths escape him.
I hug back, head shoved into his chest as I hold onto him. “I’m so sorry, so sorry. I didn’t mean for this-” “No, no, no, no.” He repeats sullenly “It’s my fault, I shouldn't have done what I did, I’m so sorry.” I chuckle as I shake my head. “Please forgive me Y/N.” I let out a short breathy laugh. “Of course, I’m sorry I didn’t just talk to you about it, I never wanted to worry you.”
He smiles, “I never wanted to make you think I didn’t care about you. You’re my son. So much more important than anyone, especially Peter.” He rubs a hand against my back. “You’re my top priority, and I’ll make sure you never doubt that again.” “Thank you.”
That night was spent in the living room, we spoke to each other, explaining how the situation affected us both. The both of us understanding the other’s view, making sure to talk about what’s going on next time. We talk for a while, sleep only falling upon us hours later.
As I start to yawn, dad brings my head to his chest. My eyes drift shut as I fall asleep in his arms, the same way I used to when I was younger.
~~~
It had been about a month since the whole ordeal. News of a new recital making its way into school newsletters and I was beaming. I couldn’t wait, this time being able to truly showcase my abilities with my dad being there to witness it.
Once arriving home, I quickly threw my bag on the floor in front of the door. I rush down the stairs after, opening the door with a little more patience so as to not startle my dad. “Hey dad!” I close the door behind me, making my way to his workstation.
“Hey kid, what’s up?” He turns from his work, leaning back against the table as he looks at me. I handed him the poster I had borrowed from one of the drama students. He reads through it, eyes tracing each word before lifting his head back up to me. “Another one?” He holds a wide smile on his face as he drops his hand down.
“Yeah, you better come to this one.” He laughs at my playful jab, nodding as he holds the poster close to him. “I’ll be there, I promise.” I nod. “Thanks dad. I really appreciate it.” “Of course.” He lightly responds, pulling me into a hug.
~~~
It was yet again, time for me to perform. I couldn’t wait, knowing my dad would definitely be out there this time. As we get ready on the stage, I take a quick glance at the crowd, my eyes landing on my dad, sitting in the middle of the front row. I chuckle to myself, of course he was.
As the curtains draw open, I can’t help but smile at the proud look he gives me. As the group starts to sing, I look down at him, both of his hands presenting a thumbs-up. My heart warms at the action. He turns to the parent to the left of him, whispering something. I only catch onto a couple words “That- -y son-.” He points up to me, a look of admiration plastered across his face.
A/N: I wrote this entire thing in one day, it only took me about 5 hours. And it’s somehow my longest fic yet. It's not proof-read tho so apologies for anything that doesn't make sense or anything like that.
Following Along (Tony Stark X Son!Reader) *PARENTAL
Characters: Tony Stark X Son!Reader, Peter Parker X Male!Reader (Platonic)
Universe: Marvel, Avengers
Warnings: Mention of serial killer, mention of dead body(s) (Both vague)
Request: How about a fic Tony Stark X Son Reader fic, where reader of a Sherlock type when it comes to his deduction, intelligence but also sometimes callous behaviour. Maybe Tony makes him hang out with Peter and his friends and it ends up him then following him around while he handles a case and it ends up with the Avengers tailing him.
Tumblr media
Tony had known ever since his son was just a few months old that he was a little… quirky. He never really interacted with other kids at nursery or on playdates, and while other toddlers played with shapes and blocks, either together or alone, whenever Tony picked up Y/N and asked what he’d gotten up to, the answer was always something that was always… off. Like the time you made a poster detailing different bugs in the garden, drawing them and how they were different, or another day when you spent the entire time investigating and locating a little girl’s lost dinosaur toy, which sounded really sweet until the caretaker had to tell him that when you found it in another kid’s backpack, you dumped it out in front of everyone, pointed to the kid and called him a thief and made the kid cry.
Now, any normal parent would show at least some concern about their kid’s behaviour, maybe put them in therapy, try and get that behaviour out of them. However, Tony saw something in you that stood out. You liked to investigate. You liked knowing things, you liked to solve puzzles, and as you grew older, this continued and grew, and instead of punishing you for being rather blunt or rude at times, especially when you pointed things out about you, Tony instead set up a simple rule of “You can only do that if the person was being mean in the first place or you have a good reason to” and gave you frequent tasks to keep you occupied. That worked fine for the most part, until you reached middle school. That was when he started getting called into the school because of incidents.
It switched between you being bullied for being weird and quiet and rude at times, and you pulling stunts that always seemed to blow up and cause drama among the school. Like the time you blasted one of your classmates and bullies in the middle of an assembly for stealing other student’s work to get an award, even providing proof then and there, or the time when a teacher called in Tony about your behaviour, and you pointed out that you had been doing all your work and extra, and also that she was picking on you and suggested she stop unless she wanted her affair with another teacher to be announced over the speakers the next morning. All with a straight face, no mischievous smirk, or a glint of malice in your eye. It was also around that time when Tony suggested that you set up your own amateur detective agency, partially to hopefully help you in the process of pursuing a job you would clearly strive in, and also to stop you from investigating and exposing your teacher’s affairs.
Well, that amateur detective agency, where you started off with helping students with their own problems, very quickly became far more professional when you started taking on older, paying clients and being an actual private detective in the city, gathering information for people, and in more than one occasion, actually working with the police with it. Needless to say, Tony had to ask Bruce to get in touch with his cousin as an emergency rep in case any of this backfired, though you assured your dad you had been working with another lawyer called Murdock or something on some cases.
Tony had a lot of mixed feelings now about your job that you were doing. On one page he was immensely proud of you, and he knew this was only the start of a successful career and he was already prepared to help you set up an actual office for you when you were old enough, he loved to hear from you about your latest successful case, and when you came to him for his opinion on your cases to look for leads and he got to see your mind at work. On the other side, he was worried about you. You stepped on the cop’s toes often, and your lack of filter frequently got you in trouble with them, and then there were the dangerous cases with high profile crime involved where you were at actual risk of being hurt, and of course, the long standing problem of your lack of social life, and it especially worried him since you just started High School.
“Peter, can I ask you a huge, huge favour, and I’m being completely serious.” Tony asked of his intern on one of the rare times Peter was on base to update his suit. Peter looked up from where he was doing some homework, waiting for the update to be complete to look at Tony.
“Of course Mr Stark, what can I do?” Peter inquired, admittedly maybe a bit too excitedly.
“As you know, I have a son- Y/N. He’s not the best socially, and he has this private detective work going on outside of school, and it’s actually getting pretty serious. He told me about a new case he’s started, and I feel like he might actually get in trouble- can you just watch him please? Make sure he’s not in any actual danger?” Tony asked. “I don’t want you to feel like this is a babysitting job- it’s really not. Y/N’s cases are usually actual criminal cases, but he’s a year younger than you and I’m genuinely worried his bluntness is gonna get him in serious trouble with the wrong people.”
“I can do that!” Peter assured him with a smile. He of course knew about Y/N Stark’s private detective work, people talked about it who were in middle school with you as well as the stunts you pulled, and quite often people would ask if you were involved in a recently solved case, and sometimes you answered in the affirmative, so he knew that you were in serious stuff. “Would you like me to be with him or tail behind or..?”
“Tailing won’t work, he’ll notice immediately. Just tell him you want to follow along and be his back up if anything goes south- he worked out you were Spiderman before I did, you’re not gonna hide anything from him.” Tony explained. Peter didn’t have time to properly process the fact that you knew who he was before he’d already accepted his task and had left the base to prepare for tomorrow.
When Peter arrived to school the next day, as soon as he entered the school, he was greeted by MJ and Ned, who could see he was on a mission and had something on his mind as soon as he came in. “What’s going on?” MJ asked as she watched him look around the hallways, over people’s heads.
“I might need to skip school today. Mr Stark’s given me the task to follow his son around on a case he’s doing. It’s dealing with some serious crime so he wants me to be there in case things go sideways.” Peter explained to them.
“An actual criminal case?” Ned asked, and Peter nodded. “Any idea what it is?”
“No, Mr Stark didn’t state, but I’m gonna ask Y/N when I join him.” Peter answered.
“Can we tag along?” MJ asked, leaning on the line of lockers.
“Uh… are you sure? It might be dangerous.” Peter asked, wide eyed, getting a nod from the girl, and Ned got an excited grin on his face. “Okay, but if we actually get in trouble, run at the first chance you get, okay? I’ll worry about Y/N.” Peter told them, and after getting the affirmative, the three of them went on the search for you.
 For Tony, he took no news as good news. He’d not heard anything on the news, Peter hadn’t called or texted, neither had you, and FRIDAY was silent about anything to do with the spider suit. It took that as things were going more than smoothly, you and Peter were playing nice, and hopefully you’ll have a new friend by the end of the day, and so he let himself relax a little bit and actually focus on his work.
It wasn’t until Pepper waltzed into his lab that he realised something was up, since she came in around the same time everyday; 5pm, long after school had finished, when you should be home, when FRIDAY would let him know Peter was using the suit. Something was off. He wasn’t sure if it something was exactly wrong, but it was off at least. His first course of action was to drop a text to Peter, asking how the case had gone, presuming by now it would be over and done with and maybe the kids had lost track of time and maybe were busy just being teenagers and having fun. He watched the screen after sending the message for a few seconds, watching as Peter read it, and started to respond, before the text popped up for him to see.
We’re still working on it
Now THAT was weird. It was vague with no details, almost like Peter was busy or focussed on something else. Tony didn’t feel great about that, and so immediately called his son, turning to Pepper who had been watching him since she came in, trying to figure out why he was suddenly in a panic with her showing up. After a few rings, you answered. “Dad I’m kind of busy right now.” You answered him
“Y/N, can you give me an idea of what’s happening? You’re usually home by now and I’ve not heard a peep from you all day.” He asked, glancing at Pepper who immediately understood what was happening. “Is Peter with you?”
“Yes. And Ned. And MJ. They’re being really helpful, thanks for sending them.” You answered, your voice being slightly muffled with the sound of fabric, and Tony could tell you had the phone pressed between your head and shoulder. “You know how I was hired to track that man’s movements before he went missing?”
“Yes, it’s in the newspaper, your biggest case- insanely proud- did you find something big?”
“Oh yeah he’s the victim of a serial killer and I’m working on finding the other victims and the killer.” You answered him far too calmly for your father’s liking.
“What- how are you doing that? Please tell me you got the police involved and you’re not planning to go body hunting as an after school activity- where’s Peter and the others?” Tony demanded towards you.
“Of course I’ve got the police involved- I sent them to look for the bodies in the places I think they are about… 4 hours ago? Anyway- dad can you get FRIDAY on the call please I need her. Peter forgot his spider suit.” You requested, answering a few questions your father had but adding so many more. FRIDAY, at the mention of her name immediately inserted herself.
“How can I help Mr Stark? She inquired, her inserting herself immediately putting your call onto speaker. Pepper came to Tony’s desk and stood beside Tony, who put his phone down on the desk and just leant over to put his head in his hands.
“FRIDAY, I need to narrow down who lives on Gallow Way, New York. We’re looking for a Man, within the 40 to 60 age range, possibly married in the past but now divorced and living alone.” You detailed.
“Y/N Stark you better not be thinking of confronting a killer!” Pepper spoke up, and silence fell over the phone.
“Does it help if Peter’s here, police are on route and his technique for killing isn’t a gun?” You inquired to her.
“Absolutely not- stay right there, I’m coming.” Tony ordered, calling his suit and immediately flying out the building to go collect his son and intern. In retrospect, he guessed he should have known that Peter would get caught up in your shenanigans and aid you in them rather than calming you down in these situations. Still, he was just glad that you had Peter with you- that did make him feel a little bit better in the prospect that you did face off against a serial killer. Not a thing he thought he’d be saying to himself when he became a father.
By the time he got there, the police were already there, having already arrested the man and were searching the house, and he spotted his son talking with an officer who was taking extensive notes, Peter, MJ and Ned not far away. He walked over to them first, and they saw him as soon as he landed and straightened up a little as he walked up to them. “What I’d miss?” He asked, before quickly adding “Please tell me you didn’t see a dead body.”
“No, we were just following the person’s last movements before I guess Y/N realised he’d seen something similar and quizzed us on some other missing people to see what we knew. We did a bit of googling for more information before Y/N announced it’s a serial killer and sort of just… put together a description of what the guy would be like who did this, looked at a map and picked some spots where the bodies could be then called the cops.” Michelle explained to him in a confused tone, which was understandable.
“Have they found anything yet?” He asked next.
“Apparently they did find something at one the spots Y/N highlighted a few minutes ago… which is terrifying.” Ned commented. Tony nodded quietly, before going on his phone, selecting a few things, before looking back at the kids in front of him.
“Alright, a private car will be here in 5 minutes, it’ll take you home, okay? Peter, do you want to go with them?” Tony asked, getting a rushed nod from the teen, and Tony was starting to regret asking him to tag along with your antics. Maybe he’d been too lenient with you. Maybe he should restrict what cases you can take on…
“Mr Stark?” Tony glanced up from his thoughts at the sound of Peter, humming to tell him he was acknowledged. “If Y/N has any big cases again, can I tag along? Other than the whole serial killer thing… it was kind of fun and interesting. I learnt some things that could help me if I need to do my own investigations.” Peter requested, getting slightly wide eyes in response.
“Uh… sure, just ask Y/N beforehand to be sure he’s comfortable with it, okay?” Tony responded, and Peter grinned and nodded, before Tony turned and started to make his way over to his son, still rambling to the cop who on close inspection almost looked frazzled. “Y/N.” He called, making you stop and turn to face him.
“Hi dad, I’m nearly done here, just letting them know what kind of things they need to be looking for in the house and stuff.”
“I’m sure they can figure it out with the extensive notes you’ve already had them writing. Say anymore and they might thing you’re the killer, not the detective.” He joked with you, giving an apologetic smile to the cop as he took your shoulder to pull you away. “If you have any other questions don’t be afraid to call us- I’m sure he’ll be happy to help.” He excused, starting to lead you away. “Did you go in the house?”
“No. But I did snoop in the back-” Tony interrupted you with a sigh. He swore you were going to be the death of him one of these days.
Hope you like it! Sorry for the super slow posts, I’ve been overwhelmed recently with things I need to do and it’s making me not want to do anything creative. If you have any questions, please send them in!
I never lost him Trigger warnings for PTSD, mentions of war, torture,  etc. Just unapologetic cuddling and comfort ft. Steve Rodgers. Bucky Barnes x F Reader Chapter 1 2400 words fluff, angst, comfort. 18+ MDNI Post TWS Steve realises that he's not the only one looking for Sargent Barnes. Reader is Tony’s sister, a non-enhanced shield agent who recently resurfaced.
Tumblr media
“I don’t really know what you want me to say”
“Y/N” Tony says, exasperated, “I want you to say that you’ll be more careful”
“That’s a bit rich, comin’ from you”
Natasha scoffs at the young woman’s reply, quickly shrugging at Steve, who is positioned directly across from her in the quinn-jet.
“I” Stark continues, “Didn’t just ransack an entire underground base-“
“No, you were just waiting outside said base, with a shit-tone of explosives”
This time, Romanoff doesn’t even bother to disguise her laughter, much to the dismay of the other, more uncomfortable passengers.
“I also have a billion-dollar suit-”
“I can make myself one, if us matching would make you feel any better”
The offer silences Tony, who rubs at his goatee, screwing his eyes shut for a moment as he considers his sister.
“I’m sorry me doing my job makes you nervous” she offers calmly, standing up from her spot to pace towards the main console, “but, look on the bright side, we got all the tech we wanted, and, it’s one less HYDRA lair for SHIELD to worry about bringing down”
“She’s right, Tony” Steve inserts, speaking for the first time since their departure, “I’m not gonna say I agree with her method-”
“Oh good” Stark counters, still clearly irritated, “Because for a second there, it sounded like you were going to praise my little sister for jumping head on into a fight without backup”
“I had back up” Y/N mutters, keying something into the computer
“Like who?” Tony bristles,
“You” she answers, turning to face him.
It’s clear from the silence that follows, that that is something she was expecting him to have known already.
It’s also clear that her having that level of unwavering faith in him, is something he didn’t consider as a possibility.
He’s suddenly very flattered. It shows.
Y/N rolls her eyes, and everyone notices how identical the expression looks when it’s her who’s wearing it.
Tony smiles the rest of the way back to New York. Not even Fury chastising them for their ‘rash actions’ does much to temper his new found elation. In fact, when he tries to scold Y/N, by saying that ‘Reckless impulsivity’ must be a genetic trait they share, he only seems to get happier.
Steve looks somewhat satisfied with the days events, and Natasha is boarder line chipper considering her usual blank facade.
“What did you go back for?” she whispers, when Y/N eventually takes her seat, back at her side, “i pochemu ty pryachesh' eto ot svoyego brata?” and why are you hiding it from your brother?
“because it’s not any of his business” she answers calmly, ignoring the quirk in Steve’s brow, “Eto to, chto ya dumayu, prinadlezhit Sardzhentu Barnsu”
“Sargent Barnes?” Natasha echos, shock making her forget her place for once.
Rodgers snaps up in his seat, eyes suddenly trained in on the women-
“Don’t pretend you don’t know who he is” Y/N chides, “I know damn well you’ve both been tracking him for months-”
“You know Bucky?!” Steve demands in a hushed tone, acutely aware of their lack of privacy.
“Who the hell is Bucky?” she quotes, not bothering to hide her smirk.
“Son of a bitch!”
“Language” the women tease in unison.
Natasha has taken the minute of distraction to compose herself.
It’s hardly surprising Y/N has caught on to their lame attempts at locating the former assassin. They’ve been hacking into her tech after all-
“No offence” she chides, “but did either of you really think nobody was going to notice a bunch of Stark drones being deployed covertly with no authorisation? ”
It’s clear from Steve’s expression that that’s exactly what he’d thought.
“You’re lucky it was me who caught on” she says, “Tony would have put a stop to it pretty fast, y’know, he’s still a little sour about the whole he murdered our parents thing”
“Y/N/N” Steve begins, clearly desperate, “He didn’t know- there is no way Bucky would’ve-”
She raises a hand to silence him, nodding over at her brother who is still blissfully focused on the navigation software.
“You’ve been keeping him off our tracks” Natasha realises, blinking between the siblings, “You are the one that’s been helping me decrypt the security codes-”
Y/N just shrugs.
“You’re actually quite good” she comments, “for a field agent”
Natasha rolls her eyes, bumping her shoulder playfully.
Steve shifts anxiously on his seat clearly trying to process the information he’s just been hit with.
“If you” he begins, “If you’ve already been doin’ that, would- would you help us? I’m sure with you runnin’ some of the kit we track him down in-”
“I don’t need to track him down” Y/N says pleasantly, shutting her eyes, “I know exactly where he is”
Before either of the others could formulate a response, she’d put her headphones in, and was leaning back against the wall, seemingly serene.
Steve had festered for the entire journey back, sharing strained looks at Natasha who seemed to be utterly unwilling to share in his urgent need to do something.
Once they’d landed, Tony had rushed his sister down to their lab to run some tests on the things they’d brought back, and to update Banner who’d been staying behind with Clint.
Much to his continued dismay, Black Widow had only cautioned him against doing anything stupid where the Starks were concerned. Warning him that he was on thin ice with Tony already, and reminding him of the older man’s protective nature, when it came to his sister.
“But she knows Nat” he’d insisted, “she knows his name, she knew about the bridge, about what he said-”
“maybe” Natasha allows
“-How?! How the hell does she know about that” he half demands, “and how, has does she know ‘exactly where he is!?”
“I don’t kn-”
“Shocking” Y/N says, pushing the door to the room open with a smile on her face, “You’re in the dark about’ somethin’ Red? I’d never have believed it-“
Before the spy can react the teasing, Steve has reacted, he’s turned, jaw locked as he reaches out to grip her arm, hard enough to leave a bruise.
She stiffens at the sudden contact, and Natasha takes a step towards the pair.
Their eyes are locked together, Y/N looks almost curious by the boldness of the mans actions, but she can tell that he’s hurting her, even though she knows him well enough to be certain it’s not deliberate.
“Steve…” she cautions, astutely aware of the way that the other woman is assessing the scenario “let her go”
“Unless you want you and your old buddy to have a matching set” Y/N says, flicking a glance at his hand, “then I’d do what she says.”
Steve releases her instantly, ashamed of the way he’d acted on instinct, without considering how he much have hurt her in the process.
“I’m sorry” he says sincerely, taking a step back, “I didn’t mean to-”
“I know” Y/N accepts, damp hair falling in front of her face as she offers him an amused smile, “Don’t worry about it”
“Y/N/N” Nat begins, hopeful that if she can do the talking, they might stand a chance of leaving this interaction with more information then they’d started with, “You said you know where Barnes is located”
“I did” she agrees, leaning on the counter, “I do”
Steve watches her, body thrumming with adrenaline.
“How?” Nat presses, “we’ve been running drones-”
“I know what you’ve been doin’” she replies, “and don’t get me wrong, I love a satellite controlled drone as much as the next girl, but I’ve been takin’ a different approach in terms of gettin’ an updated location-”
“-and that is?”
“I called him a couple of days ago.”
Steve’s jaw drops open, Natasha’s locks shut.
Y/N looks at the duo, and her amusement visible shifts to something more akin to sympathy, when she sees how earnestly Steve wants information about his friend.
“He’s alright…” she offers, “… safe”
“He has a cell phone?” Nat mumbles, more annoyed at herself for not figuring that out, than she is absorbed in the nuance of the conversation
“He takes your calls?”
“Well yeah” Y/N replies to both of them, “I check in every now and then”
“You… check in, on the winter soldier?”
“Are we still calling him that?” she quips, turning to look at Natasha, “I mean, we can I guess, but it sounds a little formal don't you think? I usually stick with Bucky"
Steve is still speechless. He just blinks dumbly at the women for a second, thoughts racing.
“What?” Y/N chides, “You’re the only one allowed to make new friends?”
He runs a hand through his hair, starring at her again.
“Is that what you are? His friend?”
She thinks his tone is awfully protective, if a little suspicious. It doesn’t take her long to decide that it’s endearing, rather than offensive, so she offers him a smile before shrugging, and murmuring a “somethin’ like that” that makes Natasha scoff.
Another, longer silence fills the room. Nobody seems keen on breaking it, and the mutual air of acceptance that has come with it.
Steve isn’t sure why he trusts the woman’s intentions, but that doesn’t change the fact that he does.
Natasha has always loved Y/N. Their bond goes deeper and further back then any of the others know, so there was never any part of her that was going to risk upsetting her over a man she’s never spoken to.
“He’s expecting a call tonight” Y/N says finally, “I'll tell him you say hello”
The hope that flairs behind Steve’s eyes is sweet. He grins and takes a step towards her, he catches himself though, and slows his movements, feeling absurdly guilty about the way he’d greeted her earlier.
“I’m not giving you his number” she tells him firmly, with no hint of apology
“Please” he asks, feeling the optimism he’d been experiencing a moment ago dissipate like smoke, “Y/N-”
“I can’t” she replies, looking at the other woman for support, “He knows you’re looking for him, Steve, he knows where I live, I-”
“is he angry at me?”
“What?” both girls say in unison
“Why would he be angry at you?” Y/N asks, as Natasha offers her a confused glance.
“I- I left him, I-“
“You nearly died” Black Widow inserts, “He nearly killed you”
“That doesn’t matter Nat, I-”
“No” Y/N says calmly, “No Steve, he’s not angry with you- He’s-” she sighs, “He’s not angry at anybody”
“So why-”
“He’s scared, Steve” Natasha says, as if that answer had been obvious, “I mean can you blame the guy?”
Y/N averts her eyes, but it’s obvious from her expression that she agrees.
“I don’t-”
“God, Steve” the red head continues, "He's clearly running from something, and right now, my money's on us-”
“-Oh, god…”
Y/N looks up seeing, hearing the remorse in their voices.
“He’s fine” she repeats, “but he’s not ready for a reunion”
It looks like he might cry. She can barely handle it, so she moves in, closing the few steps between them, and pulls him into a hug.
He laughs into her shoulder, shocked at the contact, but not displeased. He holds onto her, before nodding when she pulls away.
“Would-” he sighs, clearly emotional, “Would’ya tell him, I’m- I’m sorry, I’ll- I’ll give him space, and I- I swear I never meant to make it any harder on him I just- I just miss him-”
“I’ll tell him, I promise”
He nods again, and reigns himself back in, the best he can, pawing at his face to stop tears from filling his eyes.
“So…” Nat begins, “…what did you bring back for him?”
Steve turns to face the spy, and then the Stark.
Y/N is grinning, as she pulls a silver chain from her pocket.
“What’s that?” Romanoff asks, looking at the dog tag that’s hanging from it almost suspiciously, “and why do you think it’s his?”
“Because it is” Y/N answers calmly, “Isn’t it?”
She hands it to Steve, who holds it like it’s fragile, like it’s precious, or like he’s worried it might disappear.
He turns the tag over in his fingers, looking at the familiar engraving with awe.
“It… that… that’s not possible”
“Clearly, it is” Y/N teases, taking it back from his hands, “He told me about it once, said he’d never taken it off before he fell- when I saw it in that drawer I figured I should probably get it back to him”
“We had them made” Rodgers says, “when we got him out of that camp, everyone was jokin’, said it was so if one of us got lost, we’d get brought back to the other”
“Where’s yours?” she asks, eying his baron neck,
“Somewhere at the bottom of the ocean.”
The sadness in his tone is heavy. It pulls at Y/N’s heart strings until one almost snaps in her chest.
“Well, maybe it’ll come back to you one day” is all she says, even though she feels like she owes him more than that.
He forces a chuckle and nods.
“How are you gonna get it to him?” he asks, clearly nervous, “it could get-”
“I’m going to hand it to him” she says, “I’m not going to risk sending it in the mail, Steve, I promise”
His curiosity is clearly sparked again, but this time, he bites his tongue.
The trust he’s putting in her is tangible. She offers him a smile, and tucks the necklace away.
“I’m gonna get back to T-” she announces, pressing a peck against Natasha’s cheek, “I’ll let you know how he’s getting on”
“We’ll stop the drones” the other woman offers,
“You don’t have to” Y/N replies over her shoulder, “they’re way off track”
Steve shakes his head, dismayed- earlier that week they’d been sure they’d gotten a lead in Budapest.
“We really weren’t ever close?” Nat asks, almost irritated
“No” she replies apologetically, “But if it helps, you were up against me, so you never really stood a chance”
“Careful, darlin” Steve cuts in, “you’re startin’ to sound-”
“Like an arrogant douche bag” Natasha finishes for him,
Y/N laughs, loud and hearty like her brother.
“Maybe it’s genetic” she suggests playfully, “Recklessness, Impulsivity, Arrogance, I’m sure Fury’s puttin’ a list together-”
Last few days have been wild lol, had a cystectomy, finally met my cousin's husband and now people are asking me to get married and have a baby before "it's too late", so I wrote this instead of punching them
no actual cheating happens here
Steve Rogers is a respectable married man. But he's called in by Virginia Potts, told Tiberus Stone's husband needs a bodyguard and it's fine, he's fine. He can take the heat of a family known to sell weapons to death and destruction. Except the husband is Tony fucking Stark, a man who is so obviously trapped. A trophy for Tiberus like his mother was to his father. And while Stone gets to sleep around, Tony's kept on a chokehold by his own father, uncle and husband. He's a writhing chrysalis trying to evolve, trying to break free. And Steve is helplessly in love with those furious doe eyes looking at him with all the rage as he stops him from trying to sneak away. Again and again. But he is also in love with his husband for seven years. So there's nothing to be found here.
"It's for your own safety," he tries to tell Tony. But the man won't listen. He throws a punch, two. Accuses him for being his husband's spy. Steve assures him he's not. He tells him Miss Potts picked him. And that pulls Tony up short. Leeches the anger out and leaves sharp confusion instead.
"Pepper sent you?" And Steve is a respectable married man. But if those eyes don't stop looking at him with all the curious wonder of a predator, he doesn't know what would happen. All he knows is that he'll end up long buried.
There's a change. Where Tony's rage and struggle pulled Steve in like a depraved blackhole, his gentleness and wit tethers something inside Steve. Keeps him coming back. Tony is a genius. But he's not a psychopath like Stone, not a greedy bastard like Stane, not a businessman like his father. He has hopes and dreams that could save the world. He sees a future that's bright and green. And Steve is a respectable married man headed for ruin.
Steve tells Bucky he would be late. He tells him he's got priorities and his husband says nothing, just nods and kisses his cheek.
He should have known.
He finds Bucky beside James Rhodes, doned up in his Soldier regalia.
"I'm assigning Barnes to Tony's guard."
"We have Rogers."
"Well we've also got Ten Rings coming after him."
There's that. Even Howard Stark doesn't want his son dead. And though there's an ugly scowl on Stane's face he doesn't like, Steve is more worried about deciphering Bucky's blank stare and the gentle flex of his metal limb.
Things go differently this time around. Tony meets Bucky not with fury, but a gentle curiousity. Like he's trying to peek through the icy winds of a storm. He picks and prods at him like a cat sniffing a new scratch post. Asks about the arm. About the metal. About the joints. And the connectors. But never about how he lost the weighted piece of flesh in the first place.
Steve is torn between pulling them apart and asking Bucky to say something.
But Bucky has his back to him. And Tony's eyes are sharp as ever.
"You're lucky my Rhodeybear warned me about you. Or you would gotten the same treatment as him."
Steve can put it on paper. He won't even have to look to know Bucky's interest at that. He always loves it when someone shoves at Steve's immovable strength.
"I punched him. Twice," Tony explains, and like an automated machine Steve defends himself.
"It didn't hurt."
Bucky snorts, shakes his head and throws him a look which tucks the message home. We'll talk later.
"You came back all bruised like a peach."
"Oh," Tony breathes and then blushes. "Well, that's an image."
"I want him," he mourns to Bucky on the sparring mat. Once Bucky has beaten him senseless, gotten the rage of betrayal out of his system. Once Steve learns that he is a respectable married man. But he can learn to be not. "I want him for both of us."
It takes time. Bucky is wary. Skittish around this other guy.
There is Stane and his obvious displeasure. There is Ten Rings and their looming threat. There is Tony himself, pulling away, haunted by a sad, guilty shadow.
"I'm married. And so are you." There is that and more under. There is Stone and his pride. Bruises marking Tony's skin. There is rage boiling up inside Steve, checked by a cold press of Bucky's hand over his neck.
There is too much. And too little.
But when Bucky falls, Steve isn't there. He is trapped behind the rubble after someone blew up the building. He is trapped and worried about the old lady with him, calling for her son and her daughter, bleeding from her torso.
He isn't there. Yet when he gets home, Bucky is there with his fury and rage, his eyes dark and lips warm as he lunges at Steve.
"He's a fucking idiot," he snarls and Steve grins. "He's gonna get himself killed!"
After, Bucky tells him the story.
"He just fucking jumped in after the kid. Wearing a goddamn tom ford suit like it's armor. Ten Rings wanted him alive so of course they stopped shooting. Only saving grace is that I was there. Picked them off one by one."
"And now?"
"Fuck you, Rogers."
"You already did."
"Shut up. We gotta genius to save."
Now, Steve and Bucky are both respectable married men. But they are also known to be a little bit rotten on the inside.
