How would the ROs react if a sweet but gullible MC is being manipulated by a coworker tricking them into doing their paperwork or bringing them coffee

Julian/Juliette: The smile that had been curling their lips immediately falls away the moment they notice the familiar figure leaning against your desk-- Lillian Matthews. From where they stood, they could see your attention was completely zeroed in on the statuesque redhead beside you. Now they were well aware you could take care of yourself, but that didn’t mean they didn’t feel the familiar fire of indignation spreading throughout their body.

Without much thought, or preamble, to their next actions, J quickly strides across the bullpen and stops in front of your desk. Watching, with a twisted sort of satisfaction as Lillian’s saccharine smile falters into a glare as they plop your lunch onto your desk.

“I’m sorry I’m late, MC.” They offer you a gentle smile, but their gaze never wavers from Lillian’s. “I was hoping you’d like to have lunch with me. I was able to get off work to spend a bit more time with you.”

They hadn’t but there was no way in hell they were going to leave you alone with her.

At your bright smile they could feel some of their tension leech from their body. “I’d love to, J.” You turn back towards Lillian with an apologetic look. “I’m sorry that I won’t be able to help you out, Lillian. Maybe Cindy will be able to help you out. She just finished a story sort of similar to yours.”

Lillian only offers you a barely there smile before she promptly turns and walks away. J could only feel satisfaction well within their chest as each step of her high-heeled feet grows further and further from you.

No one messed with the innocent people of Celestial City-- even if that just meant dealing with an old school bully that was too lazy to do her job.

Asher/Astra: “I don’t think we’ve met.” They smoothly interject the babbling man situated in front of you in the conference room-- was he truly trying to get someone he didn’t know to do his work for him? An unimpressed green gaze appraising the lesser lifeform that dared try to trick their best friend. “I’m A Sinclair.”

Amusement flourishes within their chest as the man’s eyes widen in recognition. After all it was A’s name plastered on the company and his paycheck. However, they don’t feel the need to continue the interaction with him-- not when fear seemed to be prominent within his movements now-- as they turn their attention back to you; their eyes softening with warm adoration.

“What did I tell you about traveling these halls all by yourself, MC?” They shake their head fondly, an exasperated smile quirking their lips. “Sharks roam these halls, and I don’t want any of them trying to take a bite out of you. Especially since I apparently hire imbeciles who can’t read a visitor badge.”

The man shrinks in on himself at that, but A doesn’t pay him any mind. Instead, they offer you their arm with amusement dancing across their face.

“Why don’t I give you a tour? I promise I will be on my best behavior.”

At your answering smile their earlier agitation towards the man is almost forgotten.

Key word being almost-- no one messes with you if A has anything to say about it.

Lucian/Lucia: Crystalline blue eyes observe, with a muted sense of amusement, as multiple reporters pass off their finished reports onto L’s assistant-- giving even more work to add to your plate. It seems that cowardice is wreaking havoc on the halls of Priestly Industries.

That won’t do, L muses as they stand from behind their desk. If my reporters are too scared to interact with me then I need to hire better ones.

They try not to think about how seeing you accept report after report with only a smile on your face had torn apart their chest-- you were way too sweet for this world, and they weren’t about to have those land sharks tear you apart.

“What exactly are you trying to do, Reginald?” Their tone, while bored, was filled with an undertone that screamed you better watch what you say next. “I wasn’t aware that my assistant was meant to finish your work for you. Did I miss a company-wide memo?”

Dark brown eyes, filled with nothing short of panic, flit from L’s assistant to them. If it was any other time, then L would have found the expression quite amusing-- in a sadly pitiful sort of way.

“I was just hoping to get their insight on a few things.” He shrinks back in on himself. “After all you always say that you can see them doing great things.”

L arches their brow. “Yes, I can see them becoming great.” Crystalline blue eyes narrow into slits. “On their own. They don’t need your spineless backing or your horrific opinions that you spew into your reports. Why do you think I keep you on the gossip column, Reginald?”

They hold up their hand before he could even try to come up with an answer.

“I’ll answer that for you.” L takes a small step towards him-- delighting in the way he moves back from them. “You’re a horrible writer, and an even worse investigative reporter, the only reason you’re still employed here is simply because I owe your father a favor. The moment that favor runs out? You’ll be out on your ass faster than you can blink. So, I suggest, not pissing me off will get you quite far.”

Reginald doesn’t bother in responding as he’s already rushing back to his little hovel within their building. L doesn’t even spare you a second glance-- disappearing back into their office with only one thing being thrown over their shoulder.

“I want my usual lunch order on my desk in the next thirty minutes. That’s all.”

Oliver/Olivia: “What the hell do you think you’re doing?”

Anger wasn’t an unusual emotion for them to feel but the moment they had seen you get belittled at your own desk. The wave of anger that had crashed through them was startling in its intensity. Especially when they noticed who exactly it was that was bothering you.

Sasha shifts her hazel eyes towards them. “I’m just giving my report to our new cub reporter, Ward.” She rolls her eyes as she saunters closer to them. “There’s no need to get yourself into a twist. If you wanted to hand over your work to them then all you had to do was ask.”

Their brow twitches with the force of their reigned in emotions. “It seems to me that you’re giving MC the report because you know they’ll be able to crack the case before you can.” Whiskey brown eyes narrow. “Then, I’m assuming, you’ll snatch the case back up to take all the credit, correct?”

Her lips purse but they can tell she doesn’t have any rebuke.

Fighting the urge to roll their eyes, O brushes past Sasha to take the report still situated on your desk. “If you can’t solve something the old-fashioned way then that’s on you.” They toss the file at Sasha without a care if she’d catch it or not. “I don’t think our dear boss will look too kindly on you slacking off, Sasha.”

At the thinly veiled threat Sasha immediately backs off with only a slight glare being sent their way.

“Next time stand up for yourself,” O whispers, not glancing at you to see your reaction. “I won’t always be here to keep the wolves at bay.”

They take a small step forward before remembering one last thing.

“This never happened, understood?”

Ross/Rose: “Pierce! Can you get your new assistant to make us a cup of joe?”

R tries not to wince at the aggravating shout echoing throughout the bullpen. Their brow furrowing in even further annoyance as the words register within their mind. Dark brown eyes shift from their monitor to the red face of Detective Reynolds.

“How many times have I told you that they’re not my assistant.” R rolls their eyes at his stupidity. “I’m helping them on a case they’re investigating for Priestly Industries.”

Reynolds, along with his cronies, laugh at that. “Then why have they been making us coffee this entire morning? It seems to me that you just want to keep them to yourself.”

Annoyance flares through their chest at that. An emotion that isn’t stemmed when you come into view holding a steaming mug. They were well aware that you were a people-pleaser, but it seemed to be that the majority of the people you were trying to please were simply using you for your kindness. A fact that didn’t sit well with them at all.

“MC!” R calls sharply, causing your attention to immediately shift to them. “We’re going on a little trip. I’ll meet you in my care in five, okay?”

At the sight of your nod, and the excited the smile beginning to curl your lips, R is even more sure of their next course of action. Once they’re certain you’re out of earshot, they quickly make their way over to Reynolds and don’t stop until they’re an inch from his face-- the widening of his eyes causes a warm bolt of satisfaction to tear through their chest.

“Listen to me right now, Reynolds,” R snarls. “I will only say this once, so you don’t you dare forget. My informant is off limits to you and your boys, understood? If I see you treating them like your own personal assistant again, I’m going to make you wish you never joined the force, got it?”

His answering nod is all that they need. They don’t give him a second glance as they grab their leather jacket from their chair and make their way out of the precinct.

Glad, that just for once, they were able to use their reputation for something good.

Hello everybody. Since Valentine’s Day is next month, I would like to try something new for this year for my blog. I want to start doing holiday fanfics and to do that I want to start with this one. This is what I want to try out

RULES:

There’s a list of only fourteen characters and a list of only fourteen prompts for Valentine’s Day. That’s one character and one prompt per person.

It’s a random choosing of what you want written for a character and the prompt you want to go with. If you’re having trouble choosing, use the Random Number Generator to help you out.

Once a character and prompt have been selected, they’ll be crossed out so that they can’t be used again.

My inbox and DMs will be open from January 14th to January 31st. After that, the inbox closes until the next character list is up. If you still want to make a request for something else, please go ahead and do that, so that I can get a head start on it.

What are the RO's like when they're jealous? Love this story so much so happy you're making this lovely project ^^

Julian/Juliette: They get sad more often than not. Will want to be by your side to show you that they’re there too! If they feel like they’re being jealous for no reason they’ll go off and sulk somewhere else because they don’t want to bring down your mood (where they’ll quickly get over it and rejoin you). If they have an actual reason to be? They’ll stick by your side like Velcro.

Asher/Astra: A disgruntled cat comes to mind. Will showcase that you’re there with someone without actually saying anything. Pretty much marking their territory while silently sizing up their “competition”.

Lucian/Lucia: They trust you a great deal, which means they try to reign in the more unsavory feelings of jealousy. Though they’d definitely make sure the person who’s evoking such emotion from them knows that you’re theirs. And they don’t share. If they don’t? Well, the Devil will come out and play then.

Oliver/Olivia: Will see it as a competition of sorts. When the other person gives you a compliment, they’ll give you one even better. If the other person buys you a drink you like, they’ll buy you a drink you love. All to show the other person that they may be able to flirt with you, but they’ll never have you the way O gets to.

Ross/Rose: Becomes even more stone-faced than usual. Will become extra moody and want to leave the situation, preferably with you by their side, as quickly as they were able to. If you questioned them what was wrong, they’d probably say nothing, but they would open up after a while. They would just need to settle first.
