My next update is not going to be until at least October maybe even later, both because of the crunchiest loveliest Maine fair the Common Ground at the end of Sept. and because at the beginning of September I’m getting gosh dang married, so posts may be sporadic, but if there’s any critters or designs you missed and want back let me know and I’ll get it together for the next one. Exhaustively is going to print!

The story of a girl and her golem. Both agree she’s not doing well on her own, but the golem has his own ideas on how best to help her–not that she’s willing to hear them. A slice-of-life about family, college, magic, and speed-stacking.

I will be printing a select few limited edition bound copies of Exhaustively, newly re-edited, and shipping them within the United States based on interest. Each book will cost a flat fee of $13, which will cover a copy with shipping throughout the US. I am happy to sign, personalize, inscribe, and/or doodle in each copy for you.

Interest check available until 7/31/22, at which point I'll DM everyone. You can also DM, Discord, email, etc. to ensure a copy now, and I'll ship as soon as I have them in.

I'm not doing this to turn a profit, but I can't afford to lose money on making funky limited edition souvenirs, hence the pricing. I will inherently take the hit on the proofs, and theoretically lose money on the time spent, but hey that's writing. I clarify this because Something's Not Right, my published book, is $10! You'll see in the pricing that a substantial amount of this is the middleman situation where I ship to myself and then ship to you, because the book will only have a limited release.

Math: Shipping 10 books from Lulu to me costs $13.44 for shipping and $3.83 per book. Shipping one book from my state across the country costs roughly $3.25, while individual bubble mailers for each book will cost $1.79 each at my local post office. An individual book thus works out to ~$10.22, assuming nothing goes wrong.

If you want multiple copies, I'm happy to slice US shipping off the price of the extras and make all but your first copy $10! Same goes if you're ordering just one copy but want it in person (and, of course, that is physically possible).

Sending a little artsy love… mixed media style!

Recently my mother in law came for a fun visit and we had such a great time, making memories, going on little adventures and having a lot of laughs. After all, it had been two and a half years (thanks to Covid) that we hadn’t seen her. I’m sure the kids looked GIGANTIC to her after all that time!

It was super sad to see her go back home and lots of moping around in the days that followed. I’m sure she felt the same way since we really had such a wonderful time during her visit.

So I made up a little memory book, thanks to CVS, of many of the photos that I took during her visit. This way, she can remember all the fun we had together!

Not sure how I’d send it, I started to brain storm some ideas. Once I picked up the book, and saw that it was packaged in a nice envelope, I decided to repurpose that envelope into a mailer type envelope to ship it off to her. I broke out the acrylic paints, pens, stamps and collage papers and got to work!

Here’s what I started out with. Just a plain old envelope that the photo book came in when I picked it up from CVS.

B-O-R-I-N-G!!

After getting out the supplies, I just started putting things down. Old torn papers and book pages, paint splatters, doodles, rubber stamps… you name it and it probably went onto the envelope!

The end result? Check it out! I hope Grammy enjoys receiving a fun a colorful package!

Do you think Mickey and Debbie stayed in contact after season 5?

Yes absolutely.

Debbie would call him and first it was just apologize over and over and he’d tell her to “stop talking before you say some shit to land your ass in juvie. If anyone asks it was all on me okay Raggedy Anne?”

Then she’d call just to keep him updated and she’d write to him like she was writing in her diary just about her day (which he secretly enjoyed bc this mf loves the tea) and he’d write back telling her to get her shit together, he’d sometimes give her advice, tell her things he learned from books he read and doodle all over the letters. They weren’t frequent letters. Once a month maybe. Sometimes either one of them would skip months if things were bad. Debbie’s last letter from Mickey in prison ended with a “don’t write back. You’ll get why soon” which scared her obviously but then seeing mickeys face on the news a few days later she understood why. A year after that letter she got a weird package with no return address. The little thin bubble mailer only said “Debbie and the kid” with the gallagher address. When she opened it, it was filled with sand which got everywhere, a drawing of a beer bottle in the sand with the ocean as the background, and two matching necklaces with a little sandal charm that had ‘Mexico’ carved into it.
