Deep down, we know it to be true. We know that possessions don't equal joy. And we know full well that our lives are too valuable to waste chasing them.

Education surrounding autism in the UK is frankly terrible, and I wish to change that.
Too often, I hear people use autism as an insult. And yes, they could just be nasty individuals, but I truly believe that it’s because of the lack of education surrounding autism that we constantly hear these sorts of things. Autism isn’t some dirty word, but people aren’t aware of that fact because they aren’t educated on what neurodivergence actually is, and the teachers never seem to stop these harsh and discriminatory remarks because they simply have little awareness themselves.
The fact is, students just aren’t educated enough. They treat autism like some illness that needs to be cured, and we can’t change their minds by just talking it out. We need a large-scale action, one that might actually make a difference.
I hope you sign my petition, and make your voice heard!

I find it funny how so many people care about men wearing short shorts and makeup and skirts and all that shit. Like, how's it different from back then? Literally. Men used to wear more feminine things back then and even perform as women in Shakespeare's plays, yet they see a problem with men being feminine?
It's literally taught in schools that people dressed this way, but then when a man wears women's clothing nowadays (I still don't get why clothing has to be heavily gendered, but yeah) they want to gripe and complain. It's so freaking annoying and unproductive for you to be waltzing up to someone and telling them how to live. Like, you're literally judging someone's clothing whilst you're probably wearing a pizza-stained shirt and living in your mother's basement.
Don't tell others how to live. That's my point.
If he wants to wear makeup, let him wear makeup.
If he wants to wear feminine clothing, let him wear feminine clothing.
Don't let your opinions of others affect your ability to be respectful and kind. Just because you like men in masculine clothing in these ages doesn't mean they have to abide by your rules.
You. Control. No one.

Global temperatures have been rising for over a century, speeding up in the last few years. We have already warmed by 1.2 degrees since pre-industrial levels. Internationally it has been agreed to cap warming at 1.5 degrees, the limit at which we can halt the worst impacts of climate change.
Even at 1.5 degrees there is likely to be ice free summers in the artic every hundred years or so and around 70% of the worlds coral reefs lost. But at just half a degree more, 2 degrees would see the likelihood of ice free summers increasing to every ten years and the loss of nearly all the worlds coral reefs.
We know what needs to be done. We need to cut man-made greenhouse gas emissions drastically, phase out fossil fuels and move to renewable energy. We need to be more efficient and use less energy, and we need to tackle deforestation and eat less meat.
But at the moment, if all the governments of the world acted on the promises they have made, we would still reach 2.8 degrees. And we are a long way off those promises being turned into reality.

Problem Now Days
I understand that we gotta do what we gotta do for ourselves and ours. But c'mon. No where in that process do you have to lose your humanity. You can still do you and take care of yours while treating others with the respect they deserve. Or show that you still value human life. Some people struggle, others just watch. The ones that can make a big difference, only do minimal. The ones who are giving their all to make that change, are the ones who struggle as well. The struggle is real. Make a change. Be a part of the solution instead of increasing the problem or being a watcher. Like what are you doing standing around and just watch? A tree can't grow from you staring at the seed. You gotta do your part and take care of it. Tend to it.
C'mon people. You can do better. Children are the future. They deserve better. Cause right now, it looks like they got nothing to look forward to. They will end up being stuck in a world of chaos that no one wants to make a difference or a change in.
Keep it real ya'll and do better. If not for yourselves, then for the future generation

The Saddest Part of Climate Change
So, as I have (probably) stated, I live on a hill in Southern California, that is surrounded by more mountains and hills. Around this time, the tallest mountains used to be covered in a white layer of snow...
Used to be... It is December 19th as I write and post this, and there isn't a single drop of snow to be found. And if my memory serves me correctly, this is the second year that this has happened.
This is the sad thing that people don't realize about climate change. We end up losing such beautiful things.
The trees and flowers that once flourished, now brown and dead because of drought. The jungles and rainforests that produced life-giving oxygen for the planet, now chopped down for fickle reasons. The animals that use to thrive in their habitats, now becoming endangered or extinct. The rivers and lakes that used to sustain a wonderful ecosystem, now dried up and/or polluted.
All of this damage, we're responsible for it. All of these beautiful things, we have ruined them. Yet we continue to deny it, again and again and again.
And that to me is the saddest part about climate change. We have the power to do something. We can change it. But we don't want to. Even as the world crumbles around us in retaliation for all the damage that we have done to it. We do nothing.

Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving! Today is a day where we should be grateful. We should be thankful for the life we have, for the lives we’ve lost, and the new lives that shall be welcomed to this world.
Of course life can be unfair, though. It’s not all “cupcakes and rainbows”, and that’s just how it is, and basically how it has to be. You can’t live life without tragedy. Some of you know that better than anyone. It can be devastating to see a good thing end, but sometimes it’s for the better.
A book I love to hate (if that makes sense) is called “A Child Called: It”. It’s an autobiography about a boy named Dave Pelzer. His childhood was… traumatizing and heartbreaking. And so very cruel.
I cried. A lot.
His mother, Catherine Pelzer tortured him in various ways since he was four years old. His life was one of the most tragic lives I’ve ever heard of.
Here is that story: (READ AT YOUR OWN RISK) There is cursing, and MANY forms of abuse.
Sometimes, that’s just how it is…
Moving on, you’ll never know when someone will die. Maybe your family fell apart, and no one wants to talk to one another. Maybe it’s a divorce. Or an argument. Or someone said the wrong thing at the wrong time.
They refuse to communicate. They want to get out of each other’s lives. They hate each other so much. Their hate is so powerful- they forget what the fight even was…
Then… someone dies. No apology. No goodbye.
Then they realize it’s far too late to fix anything.
Another story isn’t even mine, it’s my teachers’. Two of them. Different funerals. Different deaths. Different reasons. But both deaths were of no other than teenagers.
Barely adults. They never even got to be adults. They just… died.
One of their deaths was caused by carelessness. A sleepy driver in an 18 wheeler crashed into the girl’s car, split the car in half and she ended up flying out and getting impaled by a tree branch right in the stomach.
Overall, just be careful on what choices you make. Specifically on how you treat people. It can make a major difference in their lives. For the better, or for the worst. But then again, it’s your life and how you choose to live it.
So here’s a project you can complete for today:
Go to Google slides and make at least 2-5 slides about why you’re grateful for someone and send it to them.
Or write a letter. Or call someone.
You can really make a positive impact on someone’s day today.
Because you never know when it will be the last time you’ll see them.
Recommendations for Books and Movies: The Ultimate Gift, Chicken Noodle Soup for the Soul, I Can Only Imagine, Greater, and Jesus Revolution.
(I kinda rushed this- sorry! 😭 I will edit soon!)
