Borra x Dark Fey soldier pt.1 (I'm struggling with keeping the motivation to make pt 2, does anyone even want a part 2 of this)

Tumblr media
Outside of meetings, training, parties, festivals, and ceremonies, you never see Borra, which is surprising considering how small the Nest it. You only interact with Borra during work, wether it's reports on the Moors or humans, or a rare patrol with him because his partner canceled.
Talking to Borra outside of work seemed unprofessional, not to mention he always seemed busy and you didn't want to bother him. Even on nights you patroled with Borra you didn't talk to him, hiding from fey and humans, often looking after opposite sides of the forest, you couldn't talk to Borra even if you tried. By the end of patrols you where often too tired to speak, and before them Borra is either going over a plan, or too focused on who knows what to hear you.
Tonight was one of those nights, Borra had described where and when to meet throughout the night, the original times and places had to be changed because he and his partner where almost caught the previous night. The first two meetings went without problems, the third you noticed Borra looked drained, the fith however didn't go well. A small group of Aurora's guards nearly spotted Borra and you, you both hid in a small cave, staying there till they left, except the didn't, they decided to rest there for who knows how long, taking turns to keep watch.
Borra sat with his back against the wall in a slouched position, his wings drooping on either side of him his horns nearly touched the ceiling, you sat opposite to him, hugging your knees to your chest and resting your head atop them, meer inches from Borra, the cave entrance sat in an upper corner of the cave, Borra covered it with vines. Sitting so close you could see just how tired Borra was.
"You've worked hard enough," you stretched out your legs letting out a slight groan, being so cramped made your body ache, "get some rest, I'll keep watch." Borra gave you a weird look, like you spoke in some mythic language. You pat your thigh, offering for him to use it as a pillow.
"No, that would be inappropriate," Borra shifted turning away from you, resting his shoulder on the wall, "I'm your superior, and what if I'm in a monogamous relationship with someone else, I would disrespect my relationship with my parter".
"Well for one, bullshit, you're not in a relationship, everyone knows that, and two, while you are my superior, I'm being professional. You desperately need rest, it's dangerous if you don't sleep, we happen to be stuck in a cave, so there's no danger for taking a nap, and I'm offering you to use my leg as a pillow to help you sleep. I don't want to carry you home". Borra shot you a glare, but gave in none the less, and begrudgingly laid his head on your thigh, slightly curled, body tense. "Better Borra?"
"Fuck off, and speak of this to no one."
"Stop being so tense, you won't be able to sleep-"
"I said shut up!"
"No, you said 'fuck off," You chuckled slightly.
"Well shut up,"
After what felt like forever, Borra's body finally relaxed and he fell asleep. You took advantage of the moment to admire him, his strong cheekbones, the soft look upon his resting face, the cute way his cheek squished against your thigh, the scars and stretch marks littered across his body, his arms crossed over his chest, the fluff of his wings. You wanted to caress his hair and feathers, but that would be inappropriate, such an act is reserved for lovers or family (chosen and blood), you where neither of those things, and that disappointed you. Borra's arms looked to be cold, so you settled for resting an arm over his shoulder and curled your wings around the both of you.
After what felt like a few hours, you looked through a small hole I'm the vines to see the guards where gone. You chose not to wake Borra, he needed the rest, and you enjoyed the soft moment. Aurora's guards and Maleficent can watch over the Moors tonight.
It was close to sunrise when you finally woke Borra. A gentle nudge was all it took for Borra to sit up, with a groan he made an attempt to stretch only to be soon reminded how small the cave was when his horns scraped the ceiling. You made up a lie claiming the guards left half an hour prior to you waking him, and to your slight surprise he believed you. Borra then leaned over you to look through the vines, you prayed he wouldn't notice your blush, and deemed if safe to leave.
Rather than taking flight after exiting the cave, Borra and you took a long moment to stretch and breathe in the fresh air. A sudden idea popped into your head as energy filled your veins.
"Race ya to the clouds," and you took off into the sky not even checking to see if Borra heard you, he would most likely be pissed, so you didn't want to risk him catching you. The feeling of a hand on your ankle made your soul leave your body, you knew Borra was fast, you just never knew he was that fast. To your surprise Borra looked more excited rather than angry, why he laughed as he raced above you, beating you to the clouds by a feather.
"Last one to the nest has to do 100 push-ups and fly 100 laps around the Nest first thing in the morning," Borra shouted, looking behind him to make sure you heard. You regretted racing him to the clouds, and you now know Borra laughing is not a good thing. You knew would lose, but you share as Hell weren't going down without a fight.
Pt 2

Author's note
I'm sorry this took so long to make, I had a few paragraphs made when my parents suddenly announced their divorce, the first few months of it where calm, but I had lost all my energy to write, eventually I started getting energy to write again, but school and my parents having terrifying loud arguments made it hard, dad kept promising to hang out with me but kept on bailing last second, suddenly my dog, she was 14, couldn't hold down food, for a whole week I had to watch her vomit left and right, on the days my dad was at the house he was no help, merely gave me a hug and walked off as I'm desperately cleaning off 3 spots of throw-up while trying to get ready for school, week comes to an end and Saturday morning she doesn't have the strength to sit up and I was left with no choice to put her down. My fucking dad couldn't even check on me through text or call, until 2 ½ days later he checks on me in person because he happened to be in the area and mom reminded him a third time. Things calm down, Thanksgiving takes place to my surprise everything went okay. Finals come around, I didn't have time. Luckily this holiday break has been good, a hopefully things stay that way for a bit longer.
On another note, the first half of this upcoming year is going to be busy for me. I will work on part 2 as much as I can, I'm also bad at writing confessions so if y'all have any suggestions please feel free to send them in.
On a final note, I hope y'all've had good holidays, and happy new year eve.

Borra x fae reader (true love)
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
it had been a month since the war between the fae and humans, a month since the crowning of the new king and queen. it had definitely been a strange change from the old home you once knew. instead of being confined without the walls of the large cave, you now had a forest and open sky to soar in. Many of the fae had gone to the Moores and lived under the protection of Maleficent and each other. though some did stay in the old home, believing that it would be too dangerous to live so close to the human kingdom. you had expected one of those fae to be Borra. seeing as how he despised humans and all they stood for, but to your surprise you found him lying on the crooked stump of a tree, bathing in the sun's warmth that shone between the leaves. you quietly walked over, your wings held up so as to not make noise against the ground, not wanting to wake him if he was asleep. As you neared you couldn't help but admire the way that the sun hit his face, illuminating his features. "Enjoying what you see y/n?" he asks with a closed eye expression, a teasing smirk gracing his face. "it's hard not to" you laugh "I'm surprised to see you, i honestly thought you would've stayed in our old home." you says sitting beside him "i honestly debated it, i understand that the human king and queen of alstead are close with maleficent and the creatures of the moores. but it is not them I'm worried about" he says, his playful smirk fading into a scowl at the thought of what the other human kingdoms may be planning. "so then why stay? what changed your mind enough to go against what you fear" you ask leaning your head on his shoulder. he doesn't answer, just softly takes your chin in his hand and brings his lips to yours. your kiss lasts a few seconds, but it feels like an eternity for you. "Does that answer your question" he mumbles against your lips, before returning to the kiss. you smile against him, butterfly fluttering in your stomach. the two of you stay like that for a few moments more, before pulling away and smiling at each other with love. "I've loved you for many years y/n," he says sweetly "Then why have you never said anything borra?" you ask "I was afraid of your rejection." he says. "i would never reject you borra, I love you too" you say leaning in and kissing him once more. even though they were rare, happy ever afters did exist along with true loves kiss. and you knew that this was yours

Could you try and do one for the Maleficent AU where Maleficent herself shows up somehow. Maybe Gilgamesh is like hello there beautiful and Thena gets all jealous and protective and then they have a fluffy comfort at the end.
Stunning.
She was elder than Thena, not that one could tell a fae's age based upon appearance. But something about her...she was a faerie of old magic. Black horns coiled from her head, her wings were black in some light and brown in some. They were huge, long and silken, practically dragging on the ground behind her.
Her lips were red like a fresh pomegranate.
"Thank you for escorting me, captain," she thanked in a silken voice. She smiled, the colour of her lips making it clear when they tugged upward gently.
Gilgamesh blushed.
Thena pursed her lips to herself, observing from a respectful distance.
The fae was from the Moors, word had it. She belonged to another mothernest entirely, one more inland and to the north. She had a great control of magic that most fae didn't even possess anymore, much less know or teach. But her relationship with the humans was good, and thus she was acting as an ambassador of sorts.
"I will bring word back to the queen and to my own flock. I'm sure the mothernest will welcome any of yours who would like to see our ways."
"I'm sure some of us will take you up on your offer."
Thena tilted her head, trying to get a look at Gil's face as he said it, but his back was facing her. She didn't like how eager he sounded.
"You have done good work to associate with the humans here, it is admirable," she congratulated him, her eyes still catlike and intimidating.
A bird - a crow, or perhaps a raven - cawed on the head of her staff.
Thena tried to at least get a good look at the fae's familiar, but its head tilted too often.
"It hasn't been easy at all turns," Gil admitted freely. "But I think we're making real strides. Some of us here have good history with humans, so we're trying more, I guess."
Thena smiled; he was mentioning her, in not so many words.
"I value a fae who can see past a human's nature," the woman said with a hint of a laugh in her voice. "I have a...complicated history with them, myself."
Gil laughed. "I gotta admit, I wasn't all that fond of 'em. But I guess they're growing on me."
Thanks to her, Thena mused as she waited and waited and Gilgamesh to conclude his conversation. He usually wasn't one for idle chatter with his charges.
"They have 'grown on me' as well."
The fae had an interesting speech pattern, like she wasn't used to conversing with her own--or conversing in general, perhaps.
"You are welcome in the Moors as well, of course."
Thena's wings bristled, her feathers raising in their follicles. Just what kind of invitation was that? An invitation to the mothernest was one thing, but was this fae proposing Gilgamesh come and take a tour of her home?!
The bird cawed again (definitely a raven).
The woman's hand stroked its feathered head, and Thena saw that she even had long claws on the end of graceful fingers. Perhaps it was a trait of northern forest fae. They had trees to scale to make their nests.
Thena pursed her lips, raising her wings into proper posture as she decided that she had waited enough. "Excuse my intrusion."
"Thena?" Gil said aloud, surprised by her interruption.
"Of course," the female observed her with those same predatory eyes.
Thena did her best to keep her wings still behind her as she stopped behind Gil's shoulder. "I was rather fond of the humans who inhabited the Isles a number of decades ago. I understand you have a good rapport with the human kingdom close to your mothernest in the north."
She tilted her head, her bird mirroring the action. "Indeed, the queen of the coastal kingdom and I are quite close."
She said it like there was more to it than that. Thena tilted her head in return, "Gilgamesh does well with the humans. They're fond of him."
She smiled, "I'm sure they are."
Thena's feathers raised again, although she did her best not to seem too ruffled by the technically innocuous statement.
"Thena's the one who's built the best relationship with them," Gil shifted, even putting his hand on her shoulder. "It's thanks to her that we've made any progress."
Thena tried to look at Gil in thanks for his praise, but she had far too much trouble taking her eyes off the woman facing them. She seemed amused; was what Gil said humorous?
"Thank you for your hospitality," she smiled at Gilgamesh again. Then, she turned to Thena, "I hope we will cross paths again. You should meet the humans of Ulstead."
Thena nodded, not entirely sure what to make of the exchange.
"Until then," she nodded, her ruby lips upturning again. Her wings outstretched, and her familiar took to the sky ahead of her, "guard, Thena."
Thena and Gil nodded to the woman as she launched herself into the sky. Her wings were truly strong, letting her climb at an incredible rate. Beautiful too.
"She was nice."
Thena glanced over at him, with his hands on his hips and a dumb grin on his face. She sighed, letting her fangs breathe.
"I figured you'd like her."
Well, since he seemed to like her so much. "Hm."
"You should see the Moors, I bet you'd like them, based on how she described them."
"Would I?" Thena asked him, irked that he was suggesting so openly that she go visit this...stranger. "She told you about them at length, did she?"
"Well sure, she asked about the mothernest here, what the forests are like," he shrugged as they started walking back in the direction of the cliffs. "The Moors sound interesting--magical, she said."
"Did she?"
That came out a little too sharp. Thena felt it as soon as it was off her tongue, and obviously Gilgamesh received its sharpness. She avoided his eyes as he looked at her. "You okay?"
"Of course," she muttered down at the sandals on her feet. "I'm glad you enjoyed your time with her."
That came out even sharper, somehow. Gil tilted his head but Thena even moved somewhat away from him as they walked.
"Hey," he said more gently, pulling her back by the hand, "wait, just look at me."
She didn't want to. She felt flustered by how strongly she had reacted to a strange fae smiling at him. Well, it wasn't just that, it was how he had smiled at her, too. Thena squirmed (as did her wings).
"Thena," he prompted, "did she...bother you?"
She frowned, feeling heat creep up her neck. "You seemed rather impressed with her."
Gil stepped closer to her, his smile turning more gentle. This was more like the Gilgamesh she knew and...knew. "She was nice. She knows a lot about humans. And she's flying back to be with her family."
Thena peeked at him.
"I told her all about you," he said with a grin. "Told her about how you came up from the southern Isles and I've been enchanted by you ever since."
She rolled her eyes. He would not charm him way out of trouble this time.
He leaned closer, though, moving his hands to her cheeks to make her meet his eyes. "Don't believe me?"
Thena's eyes fluttered, his breath hitting her cheeks. "You seemed rather enchanted by her, as well."
He chuckled before leaning in, touching their lips together gently. "Did I?"
He damn well did. Thena kissed him again, rising up on her toes.
"How could I be?" he smiled, moving his lips to her cheek as he slid his hand up her back and between her wings. "When I've already found the most beautiful fae in all the realms."
Thena inhaled as her nose hit the robes over his chest. He smelled of sea air and of pine forests. She nuzzled into him, although she felt something in the folds of his tunic.
He had her feather slipped into his robes, over his heart.
"Am I forgiven?" he asked as she wrapped her arms around him as well. He massaged between her wings with one hand and held her waist with the other. Their heads hovered close, their horns even knocked together slightly in their proximity.
"Just," she offered minimally. She still wasn't happy with how taken he seemed with the beautiful fae, no matter how little she blamed him for it.
"What if we stop by the human farms on our way home, ask for some apples?" he suggested as he grasped her hand in his.
"Hm," Thena sighed, parting with him somewhat reluctantly. Her wings fluffed behind her. "I suppose that would be agreeable."
He could clearly tell her ire wasn't nearly what she made it seem to be. But he played along, bowing to her as he would when they had first met and were coming to know one another.
"Will you carry them home for me?" she asked needlessly. Of course he would, but she was savouring the idea of a feeling like a fae with a perspective mate wrapped around her finger.
"Anything for you," Gilgamesh promised her, bending his head to kiss her shoulder as she passed him to take off first.

the piper and the fairy
Tumblr media
Summary: You were friends with Maleficent since she was little when Aurora invites them to Prince Philip's palace and it ends in disaster. Maleficent and you end up injured and you wake up in a very strange place.
you felt sore you began to open your eyes you looked around you inspected the place it looked like a giant nest you got up from where you were resting you found your flute and started walking looking for maleficent as you walked you saw many tunnels some on the floor others on the ceiling and walls "where the hell it was."
You heard voices in one of the tunnels. You didn't know you would find yourself there, but you were curious. You started walking until the voices intensified until you began to hear well.
x: they hear it they hear it
you could see that all the vices were fairies cimo maleficent you noticed that the fairy who spoke was holding an iron bullet in her fingers
x: It is a message from humans I hear it loud and clear our death is approaching
He said, showing the bullet to all the fairies present.
x: Humans have used iron against us for centuries
you saw another fairy talk to him
x: and because of him he almost made us extinct
x: killing peasants near the Moors will only cause a conflict
So they were to blame for the dead humans near the Moors. You had to be careful. If they had already killed humans, they wouldn't be any different with you.
You were listening to their conversation when you noticed some eyes looking at you. You turned around and saw a fairy with white wings and hair of the same color looking at you. You stood rigid looking at him until the whole place became silent.
x: well it seems that our guest woke up
You heard, you saw how all the fairies turned to look at you, some with hatred in their eyes.
The fairy who was giving a speech flew quickly towards you, grabbing you and pushing you to the center of the place.
You fell to your knees, you saw how he looked at you with anger.
x: look at one of them, she could kill us if she wanted to but she is defenseless
He said while the other fairies laughed he knelt in front of you.
x: without iron you are weak
You looked at him angrily, you hated it when people told you that you were weak.
x: Did you want to kill that fairy?
You just looked at him confused. Was he talking about Maleficent?
x: answer me
x:borra leave her empath
You saw the fairy who was arguing with him and he did it to you, helping you get up.
x: are you okay
Borra: because you help her
x: because she hasn't done anything to us
Borra: she is a cruel being
The other fairies supported him. You were angry. You hadn't done anything to anyone. If they thought you were cruel, you would show them what you could do.
you took out your flute while you wet your lips
Borra: What do you think you'll do with that, huh?
you took a breath until you started playing a melody they laughed until they started dancing to the rhythm of the music the more you played they couldn't control themselves and it hurt if they resisted
Borra: stop what are you doing to us
x: enough
When you heard that voice you knew it was evil, you immediately stopped playing and looked at her, you ran towards her to see if she was okay.
Maleficent: I'm fine, who are you?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
After clarifying who they were and where Maleficent came from, you felt happy for her.
She was with connal. You were in the part of the tundra. You were always attracted by the cold and the snow. You saw the children playing but you knew you couldn't get involved. You didn't want problems with their mothers.
You were sitting under a tree when you heard a flutter of wings, you saw next to you it was the same fairy that saw you when you were in a meeting, he turned around, you got up and walked back.
x I'm not going to hurt you, I'm udo
You looked at him, he seemed like he didn't want conflicts, so you let him do what.
udo: you are y/n no
You felt as you sat down he approached you.
Udo: I heard you can't talk, how do you communicate with her?
you looked at him and showed him your flute
Udo: ohh, could I listen?
He sat next to you while you began to play a melody that transmitted emotions.
udo: you know not all fairies are like borra he is very impulsive but that's what we go through
You looked at him listening to what he was saying.
Udo: I don't believe that all humans are bad, you are proof that there are good ones.
A small smile appeared at the corner of your lips.
Yes; I am well aware of the fact that I'm insane.
I ship Borra and Elina SO FREAKIN HARD!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I even talked to a friend about this and they said 'Dude, I could see it. She could teach him the power of friendship and he could soften up.'
I was trying to write a story just to justify this shit but it didn't work. Not because of the ship though. It was the story that fell apart. Trying to come up with a way for them to interact was the issue. Not the actual interaction. That was going great!
I had Borra meet Elina before she got her wings so he thought she was human, but he saw her trying to help some fairies caught in a trap and watched the iron burn her hands.
The story was so much fun to try and figure out! It was going to be canon compliant to both franchises and I had a timeline worked out and everything. I'm just bad at writing! It would have been great and I was so sad to realize that the fic was dying on me.
Btw, I know Margot Robbie should be the obvious answer, but I personally see Samara Weaving as a live action Elina.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yes; I want a live action Barbie: Fairytopia movie and I am not ashamed to admit it. Those were my favorites growing up. (Mariposa and her Butterfly Fairy Friends was and is the GOAT.)
Borra x reader (cuddles) - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
borra was busy. there was no denying that. it didn't matter if it was fighting against humans or caring for other fey he rarely had time for himself and it took a toll on him, so you devised a plan. you stood behind a hidden wall of the nest you and Borra had together and shouted "Borra help! I'm hurt!" then waited. Within moments he rushed in "Y/n? Where are you are you?" he asked concerned. you tackled him from your hiding spot and pinned him to the ground in a cuddle, "what are you doing?!" he shouted, his wings flapping in annoyance "You need sleep, you're literally too tired to push me off and I'm nearly half your size." you smile. "i have work to be done." he says trying to shove you off. "you don't, I took care of everything. all you have to do is sleep" you smirk, he looks at you annoyed and sighs in defeat. "fine, for an hour" he grumbles. you cuddle up to him and kiss his cheek. "thank you my love" you say earning groans in return, he wraps his wings around you protectively before closing his eyes. A few hours later you woke up and try to escape his grasp but he held on tighter, "Don't leave." he mumbles "Borra its been more then an hour. i thought you had work to do?" you tease. "another hour wont hurt" he whispers pulling you back into him. you smile and kiss him, before returning to sleep wrapped in your love's arms.
(Disney's Maleficent-verse fanfiction. Borra/Female Reader. 18+)
Chapters 3 and 4, the conclusion, of Amongst Feathers and Wine is posted on Ao3! Borra and the Reader discover a mutual desire for one another, deal with a few interruptions, and finally get to know one another better… MUCH better.
I hope you enjoy this gratuitous little short fic! I'm considering turning this pairing into a series on Ao3. We'll see how it goes!
"Are you…sure?" he chokes out. "This could be a… very bad idea."
A slow, languid smile pulls up at your mouth. Your fingers unfurl from the locks of his hair, only to push into them higher on his scalp so your thumbs can curl around the base of each twisted horn. His jaw tenses, his breath hitches, and your smile turns impish.
"Oh, yes, Borra," you coo prettily. "I'm absolutely sure. Besides," you continue, a mischievous gleam in your eyes, "aren't these parties supposed to be about improving human and Dark Fey relations?" You give a tug to the base of his horns, eliciting a hiss from him, and pull his mouth back down to yours to purr against his lips, "Hell, I'll just call this… eagerly doing my part."
His breath stutters over your skin at first, at the wanton tone of your voice, until he laughs as your words click in his mind. A deep laugh. One that sends a thrill through you and makes you smile brightly.
Notes: Previously...
***
Sansa opened her eyes when she felt her bed moving. It took a minute for her tired brain to remember she wasn’t alone.
“Go back to sleep.”
For some reason, Borra’s -extremely -grumpy voice was now a comfort for her. “Is it morning already?” She asked, only to yawn right after her sentence finished.
“It doesn’t matter. Go back to sleep.”
Sansa rolled on her back and gave him a look. “Are you growling at me? Already?”
Borra, who had been standing by her bed getting dressed, looked at her, and -for the first time since they’d met -he seemed… Smug. Satisfied.
“You don’t mind the growling.” He reminded her.
Oh how dare he… “If I am not mistaken, you were purring last night.”
In what seemed like a second, Borra was back in bed, his hips between Sansa’s legs, their noses touching. “No, Sansa Stark.” He smirked. “You were the one purring.”
