Just saying. I DO WHAT I WANT here on this blog! And you'll just have to deal with that! :p

Like... Interaction gives me joy. But the DPxDC community in of itself doesn't give me a ton of inherient joy. So if I'm not getting the serotonins of people interacting with the posts that I like within that community, I won't make more for it. If you aren't down for dealing with my sometimes eclectic tastes, I don't know if this blog of mine is for you. :p Also I've done this like 5 times. Lots of people follow me for one specific fandom, I get distracted by a shiny and run off in a different direction lol.

I'm always happy to talk about past communities and hyperfixations I've been in and had! But don't expect me to cater my posts to what you want. :p

Modern AU-no powers-just everyone being regular people type of shit, and it’s christmas because I said so and because everything is more fun at christmas:

Namor (like I said before) is N'Jadaka's best friend, they get along like an hamster on a wheel (except the wheel is on fire, and the hamster is on the highway) ANYWAY they have been best friends for ages but Namor has never actually met Erik's family, if not his father once when he was alive, and Erik always talks shit about the rest of them, especially his insufferably perfect cousin T'Challa and his annoying younger cousin Shuri, and usually Namor tends to believe him because he is... you know, his best friend, and you are supposed to believe and support your friends when they tell you something and because okay they do sound like excessively good to the point of boring people

Except that one day during the holidays Erik asks Namor to come pick him up by his uncle's house and he ends up actually meeting the infamous family, but especially Shuri and okay, when Erik said young, Namor was expecting a child, not a 22 years old beautiful woman with eyes so sharp they could cut him. And there is nothing annoying about her, she is spirited... alright he is probably gone, down so bad and so fast he's already trying to come up with a plausible excuse to see her again soon. 13 years of difference is not that much right? Right? He doesn’t care, he is too whipped to care.

(If in his mind he's already trying to decipher which color should he have to mix to get the perfect shade to paint her eyes that's between him and his canvas... and possibly his roommate Attuma and his cousin Namora who unfortunately share the apartment with him and have to endure him raving about this girl 24/7 day and night for the foreseeable future) [Pray for them]

No matter she seems to have the most overprotective family around her that could rival with the Great Wall of China, or that N'Jadaka would tease him mercilessly if he knew how down bad he was for his cousin (he doesn’t hold that much love for her anyway, so if it ended bad nothing would happen between them, but Namor won’t, absolutely won’t let that happen, she is too special to lose)

She's apparently also a genius and a know it all who wouldn’t hesitate to shut him down faster than the time it would get him to say hi? Fine by him. She can dissect him to pieces with that wonder of a brain she has for all he cares.

Shuri on her part has already heard about him, and decided to despise him by principle because he's her devil-spawn-cousin's best friend so he must be awful too and who the hell decides to call himself Namor if not a deranged egomaniac person.

Except she doesn’t expect him to look like that or have that voice, or to sound way more deeper than she gave him credit for... and alright, he is intense, and stubborn to-the-point-of-idiocy when he wants to. But he can actually make a lot of sense about a lot of things, and they do have a lot in common, and he challenges her, doesn’t let her win easily, she wants to know more about him oh no he is not that bad at all what now

Despite being a fanatic for curses The Hex Maniac never considered her heavy weight to be anything less of a blessing.

Sure there were drawbacks to her gluttonous lifestyle, but everything in this peculiar plain of existence had drawbacks, so why should it matter that she weighed more than two Dhelmises combined? And what's wrong with steadily inching toward passing her goal weight of a half-ton?

Somewhat related to something I posted but

Imagine if Junko met Flowey.

Junko and Flowey would get along pretty well, I think, but they're more parallels ish if you take Ryoko and Asriel into consideration.

I honestly think Junko would just. adopt Chara. Little murder child without a soul. Who definitely had the right plan about how to break the barrier + killed themself to do it (and corrupted someone else into helping them who CHANGED THEIR MIND LAST MINUTE (looking at you Remnants)) + was gonna start another war between the monsters and the humans (like Junko inciting riots from the Reserve Course).

Junko's more of a Sans troll than Chara is, but. she and Chara are a LOT alike!

(And if you compare Mikan with Asriel in terms of personality, there's some overlap there, too. And Flowey as Remnant!Mikan? Flowey as a parallel to all of the Remnants? I have thoughts.)

She stood with her hands clenched in front of her, gazing nervously everywhere. Her Gengar suddenly appeared silently behind her and made a noise that made her yelp and jump...right into someone.

She crashed into them and landed on top. "Ugh...Oh no! I-I-I'm so sorry!" she cried out and scrambled off.

A few weeks after Jules meeting up with someone she had been texting on this app, she realized that the person who hooked up with her was married and had two children with their wife, Jules knew that that had to end before she got herself into some serious shit. But she met someone else, someone who was named Tyler - they’ve never met but as the time went on and they both talked as often as they could considering that they were both in school still, Jules felt her world light up after meeting this mysterious guy on the other side of the phone. 

What she didn’t know was that it was Nate Jacobs who was pretending to be Tyler, and once she finds out - she’d probably never speak to him again (not like she ever did anyway) but that’s besides the point of the present. Jules was busy, looking into her locker when her phone pinged to which she thought was Tyler but ended up being Rue just telling Jules that she will be a bit late today because something came up.

Jules knew deep down that it was about another drug test she would have to do but instead for Lexi to do the sample because there was at least one person who would never touch drugs in the friend group that the three of them formed and that person was obviously Cassie’s younger sister - Lexi Howard. 

Closing her locker, Jules decided to be the one to text Tyler first for once because most of the time it was Tyler texting Jules first and never the other way around - so that’s exactly what the girl done, she would always smile at the messages between Tyler and her even though some of it was more confidential due to Jules being able to open up around him, considering that she never met Tyler, she felt he understood what she went through. 

Jules didn’t really expect Tyler to reply to her because she knew he already started school, which was the same time that she would usually start - providing that she never skipped homeroom but it just wasn’t something she fancied most of the time when it was the literal definition of hell. 

But to her surprise, Tyler responded and they hit off another conversation - by this time Rue had returned from wherever she was with Lexi as soon as the bell went, “guys… I know that you both have just walked through the door but I’ve got something to say” Jules said excitedly for the first time in a while. Rue and Lexi gave each other the odd look as if they thought that Jules was messing about with them because it was something that Jules made them used to. 

She was known as the joker of the group so whenever she had something, both Rue and Lexi never knew when Jules was being serious with what she was saying, “okay - so what’s the news? And please don’t joke around because you genuinely seem really happy” Jules heard Lexi say while Rue looked like she had seen a ghost.

“So, I’ve been talking to someone else since I’ve told you about what happened with that other fucker who was sick and needed someone else to suit his pleasure but then I found out that he was married and he even had children!” Jules hoped that both of the other girls got who she was on about because Jules went to them about anything on her mind - well tell a little white lie - except for self harming herself and when her usage of drugs got out of control sometimes. 

“But anyway-“ as she continued once explaining about DominantDaddy and the shit she got herself into with him to which were about hooking up but she would never tell anyone about, “I’ve met a guy called Tyler and no we’ve never met but I feel like there’s some mad chemistry going on between us over texts, like - I’ve told him stuff that I would never be able to say in person to people. Overall, he just makes me happy and I’m grateful for that”

Man... I just LOVE watching the DPxDC community do their thing. I like them and just want to examine you all under a microscope because I find you all so very interesting! It's just absolutely TRAGIC that I have yet to find any storyline or AU that tickles my specific fancy, personally...

I acknowledge that this is purely a me problem and not a community problem 120%! The stuff that I just enjoy about Batman and Danny Phantom are just not things that the community are interested in as a whole and that's perfectly fine! But it does make me feel like a pure outsider when I wish that I could actually more earnestly engage with the community itself from within. Just... Siiiiiigh! And I just have not been able to think up anything to make the two verses blend together in a way that would be personally satisfying to me specifically!

Have some of my personal winging under the cut! No hate. Just explaining my tastes and yearning.

Absolutely no shade! All the more power to you for writing stories with these tropes and features! But I personally am not particularly interested in batfamily drama, and I see the kids in the batfamily as the children that they used to be in many ways. So stories about the batfamily don't interest me a whole lot, and I'm just not invested in shipping them with anyone (I'm also ace, so I really don't get pretty much anything out of batfamily romance) as a whole. What I like about Batman is that his stories are largely mysteries. I like the atmosphere and I absolutely ADORE the rogues! I like seeing the crimes and Batman clashing with his rogues, and most of all I LOVE the heart-wrenching DRAMA between Bruce and Harvey as Bruce DESPERATELY does everything he possibly can to save his best friend, while Harvey slips further and further into a hell that he wishes that he could climb out of but is just unable to alone! Harvey is just my absolute favorite and the sheer tragedy of his character has a tight grip around my heart that will not let go! Meanwhile with Danny Phantom, what I like about it... Well... I just think that Vlad is neat! There is also a certain tragedy to him as well, but he's also just a pathetic loser which is hilarious to me! Like, so often he comes off as so slick and cool and threatening... But also he's a loser and a goober. I also just love seeing how much of a simp Jack is for him. And I just like how redemption is always just barely in sight for Vlad... He just has to honestly reach out and grab it, but he just isn't willing to right now. Also ghost powers are neat and unique and I enjoy the unique possibilities and aesthetics of it. But sadly for me, these just aren't things that the DPxDC community is interested in. And that's perfectly fine, but it does make me yearn. Like there are interesting parallels to explore between Harvey and Vlad for sure! But I have no idea how to explore them in any interesting ways at all! Also I am just the kind of person who very much dislikes stories about destiny and stuff like that. So AUs like the twin demons or Ghost King!Danny just have absolutely no appeal to me. I'm just not interested in the inevitability that a lot of storytellers in this space have that Danny WILL join the batfamily. Also it feels disappointing to me whenever a writer just doesn't give the DC the credit that they deserve. It feels like people just want Danny to be super ultra overpowered, even more so than the super ultra overpowered characters that DC already has without exploring how these different things interact. Feels like people are more interested in erasing DC canon to make way for their Danny Phantom fanon instead of letting both things be true as is the usual DC way. Again, there's nothing wrong with doing that, but it just leaves me wanting. Also I really don't particularly like nor care about Ra's or Talia as far a rogues go, so only seeing them getting included in these things is just disappointing.

Lays down. Like, I don't want to sound like I'm hating on the community. I honestly am not. I'm just bellyaching because I am in this enclosure and am not receiving good enough stimulation in this space. It just feels like... It's a hot day, and I am REALLY craving some ice cream right now! But this ice cream shop only has 4 flavors and I quite dislike them all. I'm not angry at people for liking these 4 flavors. And this place is just SO CLOSE to being something I like! I enjoy the decor, the location is really nice and convenient for me. But alls I can do in just stare in the window and watch everyone else enjoying themselves while I bake in the sun. I admit that this is purely a me problem and not a community problem but it's just a bummer, y'know? Flops.

What a strange place. Kayleen had traveled far from home to start her journey (of possible self discovery) and found herself in a city much different than her home of Lavender Town. The busy streets and tons of people crossing the streets made her shrink back and try to hide. This was not a place she felt comfortable being.

And yet here she was. Suddenly some commotion down an alley made her stiffen. Her Pokeball suddenly glowed and her Gengar appeared and decided to investigate much to her horror. "H-Hold on! Come back!" she called out and ran into the alley to see him sneaking right behind a young black haired youth.

"Wa-Watch out!" she tried to warn before he could get spook by her ghost Pokemon.

Five years later and we meet again but this time seems different:

|| Cassie was out shopping for new clothes for her son: Dexter who had grown out of his old ones. Dexter was now 5, and he was tall for his age considering that his dad - Nate Jacobs - was a pretty tall lad for someone Cassie had been with so it meant that more money had to be spent nearly every year just so Dexter could have comfortable clothes to wear. Which wasn’t a massive problem for Cassie since the fashion brand she launched became massively successful just in the short amount of time after moving to LA with her son.

|| After everything that happened between Cassie and Nate just made her realize that love is not always the best and it showed when people knew that Nate was cheating on Cassie with mainly guys but there were occasionally girls from time to time. So being in New York and pregnant made Cassie stressed because of what she was doing and the current situation was so she packed up and left for LA five years ago. 

|| While Dexter was growing up, he never questioned why his father was out of the picture and just automatically assumed that whoever his father was, didn’t want to be in Dexter’s life due to whatever. But it became apparent who his dad was when he was shopping with his mom, Dexter would experience Cassie get these comments about how she looked or about her past and that’s when Dexter learnt about who his dad was. 

|| His father was the one and only Nate Jacobs, it shook Dexter once he learnt the shit he put his mother through but he was also too young to know what was happening and if he would ever meet his father again. However, Cassie was doing so much better, she had a successful fashion brand and was enjoying her single life with her son and never ever thought of Nate after leaving him and New York in the past. 

|| But, that was all about to change - possibly for the best - possibly for the worst but who knows? Cassie was just checking out after getting Dexter some clothes when she saw flashing lights from around the corner of the shop and she was worried in case it triggered Dexter’s epilepsy and cause him to have a seizure because of it. So Cassie done what she knew was for her son and covered his eyes as they exited the shop. 

|| What Cassie didn’t know was that she was about to bump into her ex-boyfriend after five years of being away from him and keeping his son away from him to which Cassie didn’t expect Nate to be happy about since Dexter is also his child. “Oh my lord, I’m so sorry.. fucking hell - it’s you. Long time no see Nate, I can still tell that your hearts bitter pretty much like your soul is but excuse me and my son while I get to my car. Bye now, it wasn’t nice seeing you again” the bitterness left Cassie’s lips as she made her way to her car.
