btw I can't fucking remember which bedman blog on here put in the tags of a post I commented on a while back that guilty gear is about relationships but if I ever track that post down and find you I'm gonna EXPLODE into your messages like "YOU FUCKING GENIUS" because I'm being so serious when I say that that single line has changed so much about how I look at character interactions. It opened new avenues. It has consistently and impactfully affected my ability to understand certain character motivations and how the wheel of fate and the narrative in guilty gear turns in the best possible way. Of course it was a bedman fan, like of COURSE the bedman fan taught the axl fan something important that he couldn't quite see before we are living out Xrd in real time with this shit god I love it on here.

Pre season two AU where El didn’t disappear at the end of season one. Everyone knows she’s staying with Hopper except the government because stick it to the man

Steve has been acting off for a few weeks and finally admits to Nancy that he hasn’t heard from either of his parents in a really long time. They are gone a lot, but they haven’t even answered his calls, and that’s unusual.

Finally she convinces him to ask El for help. She found Will in another dimension, surely she can let him know that they’re okay at the very least so Steve agrees. He brings one of his old photos, searching for one that has both his mom and dad. He cant seem to find any, and he can’t ever remember really taking one together.

They get to the cabin and everyone is there. All the kids want to see El use her powers again, and Hopper and Joyce are concerned about the strain it puts on her. They all watch as Steve hands the photo over with slight nerves. El looks down at it and stops short, staring silently down at it as her entire body starts to shake.

“This is your Papa?” She asks teeming with rage, and Steve furrows his brow. He goes to open his mouth, but suddenly he is no longer in control of his body. El has her arm stretched out, and she’s dragging Steve over to her. She holds him in an iron grip, ignoring everyone’s shouting as she grabs the left sleeve of his sweater and yanks it up. There’s an ugly scar on his wrist, but not what she’s looking for.

El demands to know what it is. How did he get this mark. Steve stammers some story out about burning himself on the stove when he was Seven, clearly completely freaked out. He manages to pull himself out of her hold and bolts without another word, leaving the door open in his haste to get away. Hopper is the first to ask what the hell is going on, and El simply hands him the picture in response, going into her room and shutting the door.

Hopper looks down and drops the picture like it’s on fire. They all stare at the Polaroid with horror in their eyes as it slowly floats down to the floor.

Because there, standing on either side of a much younger Steve with a nearly buzzed head, is Connie Frazier and Martin Brenner

hate it when there's a term that describes something particular that makes my life harder and i use it for a while only for that term to eventually end up in the general internet lexicon and then i have to toss it out because no one uses it right so no one actually knows what it means and i have to come up with increasingly more complicated and cumbersome ways to explain the things that go on with me to make them sound legitimate and not like im someone who endlessly scrolls through pop-psychology videos rife with misinformation on tiktok
