Interest Check in a Crystal DC based FFXIV RP/Community Discord?

In my hunger for interaction and wanting to get back into RP in FFXIV, I've come up short on a true 'RP/community finder' style Discord community, for FCs, other groups in and out of game, 1x1 RP, open world RP, and so on. Maybe even would have a section for GPosers to open commissions in if there's demand for it outside of the existing GPose communities. Would be 18+ because there'll be dedicated opt-in channels for NSFW/adult RP and communities because they deserve a place to call home too!

Anyway, I'm doing an 'official' interest check now. If anyone wants to help run it, or wants to give me a hand in orchestrating what is probably a big task, hit me up!

If you're even vaguely interested, a reblog and a like would go a LONG way to helping me out!

(Side note: I have a neglected FFXIV RP sideblog at landshorizon, I'm revamping it right now with new OCs and hoping to launch this just after the revamp! For now I'm posting on my main/multifandom just cause it's easier to keep track of for me.)

I hope that you've all been enjoying the patch and all of the content that it's brought to us to help wrap up some content given to us throughout EW. :>

Outside of that, and the real reason for this post is that the Initiative would like to invite you to a Valentione's Speed Dating event!

To preface: this event is 100% for fun and is not meant to be a proper 'let's find you a partner' type of event. It is more to foster community and help create friendships since sometimes it feels difficult finding people you click with! We hope this event can help bring people together to have fun and make new friendships!

This event is open to both roleplayers and people who don't roleplay! There will be separated categories for RPers and for non-RPers!

If you're interested in participating, please check out our carrd where you will find more information about this event and a sign-up sheet. The sign-up sheet on our carrd is solely to ensure that we have the space to host this event pending on how many people end up wanting to come to it! :>

Sign-ups will go from tonight, January 16th, till January 30th! [CLOSED]

The event will take place February 17th at the Starry Garden @ Crystal > Mateus > Empyreum > Ward 9 > Plot 42 from 6PM - 10PM Central.

Do you like fight clubs, but find the fight to be the bloodiest and goriest and edgiest to be tedious? Would you like to beat on your friends without risk of maiming them or setting them on fire? Do you like cheesy popoto bread?

We have the event for you! Warded Ring is a fight club that’s been going for about a year and a half now, operating by word of mouth until this very moment. This is our first tumblr advertisement! We have a unique system of magical warded rings that absorb the kinetic and magical energy of blows, allowing characters free reign to use their magic and slice with their sword without the risk of beheading their opponent. Most combatants leave with little more than blunt trauma bruises, which one might expect from a good sparring match.

Unlike most fight clubs that use a best-out-of-three rolls system, we use an HP system based on the difference between dice rolls. We borrowed and modified it from the Bokh Xaelic Wrestling system, with their permission. Our refs handle all the math for you - all you have to do is beat on your friends!

Our menu is delicious and our bar well-stocked - but don’t just step up and ask for “the strongest you’ve got” because you might get a bucketful of ship hull cleaner!

Come to Shirogane for thrills and remarkably few spills (of blood)! We look forward to seeing you there!
