We are teaching him ASL as a form of communication, he's taken a huge liking to our Chief Trainer and Handler, no one else can or will physically get close to him for fear of his teeth and defensive demeanor. I am embarrassed to present this work that went so bad (especially lighting, I'm chocking) but I want to show my support for @askmermanlevi who created one of the cutest and softest AUs ever. I enjoy reading the several stories about merman!Levi and Eren and so do I with the art pieces of yours. I am looking forward to your next works ^^

Personal note: Levi's fins reminds of the betta fish which has a really gorgeous and soft tail. I tried to draw Levi in that way.

Eren had been around the ocean as far as he could remember. His family would go there all the time when he was little, and they eventually moved there. Eren loved the sights, the sounds, the smells.

When he got a little older, and eventually made friends, they would walk down the street to play in the sand, never going out in the water too far. They explored every shell and rock, and messed with the crabs.

One day, they ventured a little further than usual, and a came upon a cliff with a cave. Atop the cliff was an out-of-commission lighthouse. It made everything... eerie.

"Mikasa! Armin! I want to go in the cave!" Eren insisted when the other two seemed to be too scared.

“A rare deep-sea merman…in my territory…“  And then came Levi’s persistent courting rituals in which Eren doesn’t pick up for quite some time ;) (Fun fact: oarfishes are rarely seen in shallow water, however occasionally they could be spotted near the shore. The appearance of these creatures outside their habitat is still unknown. So Levi got really lucky!)
