Mermay Day 4: Manatee

Most of my stories from the Rescue center end happily enough. We find the merm, or it's brought to us, it gets better, then we release it back to where it was found. Edie's case was a little more complicated. She was a Grey River Grazer, cut up by a mishandled net, and very pregnant. It was a race to get her better so her baby could be born in the right environment. I still see her and her daughter Marilyn swimming out by the rivers. Such gentle beasts. One of the first merm species ever documented. I wonder if she remembers me as much as I remember her.

Mermay Day 4: Star Wars!

So, it’s “May the Fourth,” and I’ve never really been a huge Star Wars person. Like, I’ve seen the movies, but I just don’t really get the hype. Nonetheless, for today, I wanted to draw a Star Wars character as a mermaid, so I went with everyone’s all-time favourite character, Jar Jar Binks! In all seriousness, this design translated surprisingly well to a mermaid, I just… I don’t know what to do with my life now. I’ve reached my peak as an artist.

Day 4- Milotic

I have a deep love for pokemon and honestly? Milotic has always been one of my favorite despite never really getting to use it. I just love the design and process of evolution (though if you ask me, Feebas should be friendship based instead of trade nowadays).
