The ResortingToDanger.com website is now back up and fully functional at https://red.girldetective.org. The only thing that seems to be missing is the VirtualTour.swf. I cannot find that but if anyone has it and would like to contribute it; I'd be very grateful! Instead I replaced the tour with a video of me playing the RED demo. Not exactly the same, but better than an empty space.

thinking a lot about entry 73 where brian takes off his mask and walks through the city like a normal person. running out of meds and on his way to tims house. years of hiding and never saying things outright and still having to pretend like youre a person who can interact with the people.

#snarling animal imagery. are you a human or do you feel like youre surrounded on all sides. walls closing in. #sorry to write micro poetry in the tags. but not really. #people talk about jay dehumanizing himself to become a passive observer. theres something about becoming so obsessed with a mission #that you become it. youre no longer yourself. entirely in the rising action of the story rushing to the conclusion. #this is to say how do you go out and interact with people even minimally pretending to be a person when all your emotions #are so tied up in this anger. and youve only been able to express this indirectly. spoken in strange ways. let out in unhealthy methods. #speaking as someone who deals with mental illness. #marble hornets #I dont think this will turn up in the tag. but sure. In this story I threw a rope toy which harold got to first. Wylie decided it was highly valuable, and when he missed out, he redirected on harold and bit him out of frustration. Not hard enough to injure, but harder than a play bite, and hard enough to trigger a reaction from harold. Haz gave a BIG snarl, told him to back off, and Wylie snapped out of it. Haz then gave him a warning stare with some lip licks, reinforcing that it was not an appropriate interaction, and Wylie stood back and reflected on his actions.  side characters include Moby strategically ignoring the squabble to sneak away with the prize, budgie appearing out of nowhere to offer appeasement behaviours to Daz, Russell trying to figure out if Wylie has nipples, and Miller sitting back and watching like it’s just another friday 

#i am constantly adjusting my approach to dog to dog interactions both in my home and in public #my stance on advocacy is different now than it was a year ago and i'm sure it'll be different again a year from now #currently i'm trying to tread the line of letting my dogs communicate #whether that means playing well together or letting each other know when boundaries are crossed #but also stepping in when i preempt a potential altercation #so instead of allowing them to 'sort it out' #which they could do easily and in an appropriate manner #i try and prevent the situation from happening all together #because regardless of whether they can deal with it appropriately it is still stress inducing #my hesitancy to step in and 'micro manage' in the past was because i wanted them to be able to communicate effectively and to not be babied #or shielded #or lose those important communication skills #but the reality is there will always be scenarios where they WILL have to fend for themselves #mostly because i'm not quick enough to sensor the situation #so when i AM quick enough I am actively trying to mediate to make for a calmer and more relaxed environment #but like this scenario for instance #i did not even know it happened until i looked back at the pics i #it was all over in under 5 seconds #and happened over a game of fetch which these dogs have played happily before without issue #anyway #dog communication is fascinating and i am always #learning #harold #wylie #dogs #budgie #miller #moby

I hate to say it but the npd community on here is so fucking bad. it enables folks with the disorder/questioning to get Worse rather than recover in a way that benefits not just the people around them but themselves and, in addition, frankly a lot of the rhetoric aimed at non-narcs does nothing but groom people to be more accepting of abusive/otherwise intolerable behaviors under the guise of "it's because of a disorder, so I can't help it"
