Hello! If you don’t mind, I have a question about making image descriptions and wasn’t sure who to ask. If I’m making an id of a text where there’s tone indicators (like /j to mean someone’s joking) should I write it as it is with the abbreviation or write down the whole word? I feel like just the letter is confusing.

Hi there! You're all good, the question is totally clear. Generally the rule of thumb is to keep text as is when transcribing from an image, but you can tack on the explanation after the quoted text. For example, in your ID you could write "'(Transcribed text) /j', with '/j' indicating a joking tone" or something along those lines.
