Chapter Six of Harry Potter and the Witches Tale is live!

To say that the Weasleys were surprised to see Harry was an understatement. They arrived outside a smaller house and walked right into the kitchen to see the last remaining Weasley he hadn't met.

He met Charlie and instantly knew that he would never mess with him. Charlie, while not as tall as Bill, towered over Harry. He could see that the twins got the same build as their second oldest brother, while Percy and Ron took after Bill.

Charlie had a fresh burn on his leg and an older one creeping up his neck. Like Ginny, he was covered in freckles that made his look far more tan than he was. "Hey, mate. Shorter than I thought you'd be." Was his first words to Harry when Bill introduced him.

"Oh.. Yeah.. Um.." Harry's face felt like it was on fire.

"Stop being a prat." Bill shoved Charlie out of the way. "Where's mom and dad?"

Charlie sat back into the chair at the table where he was eating a sandwich. "I think that mom was doing your laundry and dad was trying to figure out how the TV worked." He said while laughing, "Sorry Harry, the way that Ron goes on about what you guys do at school made me believe that you were six feet tall and had bullocks bigger than a dragon."

Bill shook his head at Charlie, "Go ahead and leave your stuff here Harry, we can figure out where to put it later. Come on."

He motioned for Harry to follow him as he walked out of the kitchen. Charlie was finishing his sandwich laughing at his older brothers back.

Harry followed him out to a small living room where Percy was reading, the twins playing some game and Mr. Weasley poking his wand at the TV.

They all looked up when they heard Bill enter the room.

"Ah that was quick son. What did the goblins wa--" Mr. Weasley finally noticed Harry standing slightly behind Bill.

The twins immediately congratulated Harry on a prank well done. Getting up to slap him on the back he let out a small smirk and tried to dodge them.

Percy quirked an eyebrow and set down his book, "Hey Harry."

Sending a small wave back he turned back to Mr. Weasley who was looking at Harry from head to toe. It looked like he was scanning him for something but he didn't know exactly what he was looking for.

"Harry, what's going on son? Are you okay?" Mr. Weasley came up to Harry and put a hand on his shoulder.

"Dad," Bill intervened before Arthur could ask any more questions. "Perhaps we should find mom and talk in private."

He looked away from Harry and stared at his son for a moment, "I think I saw your mother out back with Ron and Ginny."

At the sound of their names Harry's face lit up. Arthur chuckled and said, "They are right out that door." He points to the door on his right.

Harry ran out the door and Bill gave his father a look that said "We'll talk later". They followed Harry out the door and found Molly gaping after Harry.

"Arthur, Harry is here!" She said as soon as she saw him walk up to her.

"Yes dear, we need to talk." He said pointedly while looking at Harry talking with Ron and Ginny.

"What are you doing here, mate?" Ron asked while clasping him on the back.

"Oh, you know, couldn't stand the muggles anymore, so I left." Harry said back, easily smiling at him.

"Wicked!"

"Hey Ginny!" Harry gave her a tight hug. She looked at him in concern and he remembered the letter that he wrote to her. He gave a slight shake of head to let her know that they shouldn't talk about it right now.

He did end up beating Hedwig here but that was to be expected. When she got here Ginny would get his letter and they could talk after.

"Harry, good to see you!" She smiled back at him, returning the hug.

He looks back and sees that Charlie has joined the other three adults standing there watching them.

"I need to go talk to them. I sort of just ran past your mom." Harry said quietly.

"Don't worry about i--" Ron broke off when Ginny hit him in the stomach. He wasn't one for subtle clues.

"We'll wait out here until you are done Harry." She said while ignoring Ron's glare.

Harry walked back to the four adults, his head hanging. He looked up and gave Mrs. Weasley a small smile, "Hi Mrs. Weasley. Sorry for just running past you."

"Oh, it's okay dear. Come here." She pulled him into a tight hug crushing his ribs. "How are you dear?"

He took a deep breath when she finally let go of him. Arthur motioned for them to go inside.

"Kids out back." Mrs. Weasley stated as soon as they walked into the living room. No one argued and the twins gave Harry a double thumbs up as they rushed into the backyard. Percy mouthed "good luck" and took his book.

Harry gulped.

Update on my life & becoming a workblr

Not sure who will read this but just wanted to post an update. I realize I haven’t been posting as much on this Studyblr as I used to when I was in college. I am now one year out since I graduated college, and I just received a promotion at my job! While I still intend to go to law school, I will now be working for another 2-3 years in my new position before I go. I am thinking of turning this blog into more of workblr, showing how I stay organized at my job, take notes, create presentations and curriculum, etc! And of course, I will still post about the LSAT, because I am retaking it.

new job

My new job is working as a sexual assault outreach coordinator, so I will be doing presentations at local middle and high schools and colleges raising awareness about sexual assault, healthy relationships, intimate partner violence, and consent. This includes creating new curriculum for these schools on these topics! I also coordinate and run meetings for a sexual assault response team to ensure sexual assault service providers are all working together as a cohesive team so that we can best serve survivors.

on waiting to attend law school

Overall, I am so glad I decided to wait to attend law school. I think it’s important to make sure you are ready before attending any type of post-grad program, and I know I was too burnt out to go straight into more school. People ask me when I’m going, and honestly, I’m not in a rush. Law school will always be there. I want to make sure I am in the best physical, medical, and financial shape before I start something as challenging and competitive as law school. If you are reading this and are not sure if you should go straight into law school or wait, I highly encourage waiting (especially now that many US law school programs are online next year). Don’t give in to the senior year pressure of going straight into more school because all your friends are and you want something to announce on your Instagram. I definitely felt that pressure, but once I got my job offer I knew I wanted to take some time off before law school.
