Why chosing between cosplaying default Boss or custom Boss appearance, if I just simply love the Boss in general and want to cosplay them? 👉👈

So yeaaaah, I cosplayed the default SRTT Boss last year and my custom Boss this year and I just got the pictures that's why I wanted to share this 💜

And I still have a finished SR1 default Playa cosplay laying around... I kinda wanna take pics of that tooooo. And maybe in a fitting location and not at a con? would be so fun ?? qwq

Aaaa thank you!! Bdjshssj okay, he and I are both a little Extra™, so of course we had to have a bit.

We got married in front of a jail cell cutout because our theme was partners in crime! We had our officiant handcuff us during the ceremony, and as soon as we were announced we had the DJ play the Lupin theme, then we broke the handcuffs and ran outside to go and take pictures. Aside from the handcuffs actually falling apart before we could dramatically break them the way that we wanted to, this part went totally according to plan. It was great! After pictures we snuck inside for an outfit change- From the wedding outfits to black sequins!

The reception was amazing! Our first dance was to Je N'ai Pas Des Mots by Vic Mignogna, and we both cried like babies dhsksg then my mother in law wrote a special song for me and my husband about our loved ones who had passed away before seeing us get married - It was incredible and moving, and EVERYONE cried. We did karaoke, since our DJ was the same woman who runs the karaoke nights we go to weekly. She did an INCREDIBLE job following the cues we wanted, even though we were all over the place.

My husband is a vegetarian, so we had a ton of vegetarian foods, as well as some meat stuff separately. He and I came up with crime puns for all of the food and drink labels, and it was totally Us :b for example - The fruit tray was wanted for "armed strobbery", and the Mac and cheese was wanted for "public nood-ity". Even our water was wanted for H20mecide!

The decor was so fun - we had little treasure chests with chocolate coins and fake jewels everywhere. We even had disposable cameras everywhere for people to go around and take pictures! It was so silly and cute, and a lot of guests asked to take them home! Speaking of guests, we had people come in cosplay and costumes. One of my old friends even came in cosplay as Lupin! It was so much fun. Here are some bonus pictures of decor!

Oh my god I forgot to mention.

So Wednesday took my car for it's MOT (It failed but I expected that) and while I was waiting I stopped by the library.

It was closed but there was a poster on the door and I've found out they do weekly DND sessions! I've never got to play before because the two times I've tried the groups fell apart before we got past character planning.

It's Thursdays and just before it is a craft group, couldn't go this week but gonna try next week, a good time to work on some cosplays in the craft group as well.

i feel like its obvious that com will deal with issues of identity given it is touched on with hatsutori specifically regarding his fragment status— compartmentalized in the conflict of "savior or human"— of course it is not so binary as i word it, there is a fluidity between the humanity that minoru saw in hatsutori and the supposed godhood that noriyuki latched onto in his idolatry of him... of course at the end of the tunnel is theodore's "you are just a normal person anything extraordinary about you came from me".

but in and of itself, the fact that hatsutori existed, he exists beyond what minor or noriyuki or even theodore think. between all these schools of thought is his own lived reality, and his own lived experience, his own lived delusion and chasing of being "a savior" even if he laughs and knows there is an element of farce to it, though in the next moment he's on the ground throwing a tantrum and foaming at the mouth because it is a farce. i think com will be similar...

though i think the issue is, hatsutori never hid his condition, he used it possibly to its full potential. ryuu is probably the same, being a mercenary he probably had no issues running around with pink hair and red eyes and not aging at all. of course the fact that he is sheepish about his appearance is more about the fact that he has skin grafts and eyes that do not belong to him that are supposedly mot easy on the eyes, rather than the traits of a fragment. but my point is, these two don't have to conceal it. hatsutori being some kind of christ-like figure, ryuu coming from a dark "anything goes" background.

azuma, igarashi and misumi are public figures, we know nothing about the lengths that azuma and igarashi take to hide their physical abnormalities, but misumi shaved his entire head + wore sunglasses indoors for a while at some point and still hides it now.

i think for miwa his lived reality is much, much more complicated. because his existence is a lie predicated on a lie. and then some. no one else is going to the lengths of concealing his identity as a fragment as far as he goes (based on current information). without exaggeration i think one of the most important moments in the interlude is ryuu finding the wig and contacts in miwa's bathroom. which of course means that dita's appearance is pretty much what miwa actually looks like aside from the cosplay. how much would that fuck anyone up, honestly... but it is not just two modes. imo, if i were to make it as simple as possible:

teita miwa, boy idol and i bold this because the boy idol part is the important part here

dita iliner, magical boy, a fictional character

the teita miwa who embodies the ideal, the middle of the venn diagram, which basically does not exist. it is not possible for such a thing to exist.

teita miwa himself, the lived reality that exists between all of these, the one who wishes for such an impossible ideal

anyway, i think assertions like "dita is the real person" and "miwa wants to become dita" are either wildly off or are undercooked and surface level. i do not think miwa wants to become dita. i think what is likely is that it is not normal to have the qualities that fragments have. he's an unaging manlet with pink hair and red eyes. in the real world i do not think that is an easy pill to swallow for most people. he takes off the wig and it's over really. so he's bound to that. it would be easy to drift into "but dita isn't real, so it's fine if he's like that". it goes without saying but dita was absolutely modeled after miwa from the start, a character tailor made for him to play, so that does not help things. so possibly, miwa wants a world where being himself is acceptable and normal. that place is obviously rosemaria, a fictional world where a magical boy with strange powers and exaggerated qualities can exist. he would not be judged in such a place. so perhaps it starts out like that.

like this its still a little simple. i will not go into it and will give an abstract of it, but my theory is that ditasword was a machination of azuma created to test mutei's theories in a multitude of ways, including visiting other dimensions. i personally think that miwa is absolutely a pawn in this plan. whether it is escapism founded in acting out a fictional character that carries your undesirable traits and is loved and accepted for it that eventually morphs into wanting to go to rosemaria OR if it was the latter from the start... it would simply be that miwa would have that single minded goal. until the filming of the final movie or perhaps before but at the latest around that time, when he has his retirement date silently set months in advance, presumably preparing to disappear forever and become his ideal self. its not so simple, but this is the plan. i think in this moment he begins to realize that he still wants to be teita miwa, the boy idol. that he grew attached to that lie. dita and idol miwa are both flagrant lies, but having lived both in some form, there is a lived reality in them. just because he was pretending and lying doesn't suddenly mean the years he lived working as an idol were fake. they were him, and he did that himself. hell, "boy idol" teita miwa is something he may be more attached to than the identity of dita. but it has an expiration date so it's not like he can call it off (nevermind the fact that the false identity of teita miwa the boy idol itself is probably also starting to get a little too old for the "boy" part, but he doesn't age so...), nor can he abandon what he wanted the entire time, which is to live freely. FREELY without having to lie about who he is.

it goes without saying that the idea of "going to rosemaria" is a farce. yes he is going, but there is something very fishy about it, and his going of it in com is absolutely predicated on foul play, considering the condition of his apartment. if he goes there, what happens next? does he just stay there? dita is still just a character he plays, and eventually a fake world like that is just like gum you chew too much, what happens then? will azuma extract him? or will he be abandoned in a fake world and be left to rot there? we don't know if gajra and eigha are fake or not (eigha is likely sentient and possessing one of the actors who portrayed him... but that is a topic of another post) but it is strange. either way, one day the honeymoon period will be over.

there is a teita miwa that exists beyond all of this and com will definitely largely look into that. its not unlikely has a great dislike for his abnormalities, and is only able to accept that part of him when he's playing a corny and highly heightened fictional existence. he might want to be free of hiding it, but also wants it to go away all together so he can be "normal". more than any other fragment. what miwa wants most of all is the love and acceptance and ironically, the mundane "normal" that dita is privileged with. going to rosemaria is the only way to achieve this in his mind, but it really is all a farce from start to finish.

(there is also a lot to unpack about how eigha plays into this, like is it a desire for loving family or what, there is simply too much we do not know about miwa and other players involved but lol. it goes without saying there are parallels between ryuu and eigha even if i want to be very careful and say that im not ever implying theyre the same or share the relationship that miwa and dita have at all. its likely eigha is much more linked to other things.. but multifaceted things exist, you know?) but it's really not possible the way things are right now (pre-com 2018)

anyway, i drew this horrible picture while thinking about how to word all this (theres probably stuff i forgot to mention and i wont realize until i publish this):

Nepeta Cosplay Update!!

Im going to a convention super soon (yippee) and since it was my first convention, i decided to cplay my beloved Nepeta! I knew its be a lot of work but I've been working on and off on this project for a month now amd have been making excellent purrogress!

Here are the shoes Im wearing. Im not going go change the beads or anything, but i added the paws specifically for the cosplay.

Her tail! It doesnt look like much with its mot attached to my pants, but i assure you it looks great! I made it myself from an old shirt and pillow stuffing. I added beads and my homestuck bracelets to it as well!

This was definitely the hardest part of the cosplay for me. I used an old fluffy white sock and cut out the face as I sewed it in. I... lost a lot of sock doing this. Its a lil lopsided but it looks amazing! Im tempted to wear this outside without it being cosplay x33

Fingerless gloves! I just cut off the fingers of a pair of black gloves I had. I'll also add her claws in by cutting knuckle holes and using cardboard. Thats a 'maybe', though, since Im worried about it being hard to use my hands with giant knifeclaws.

Pins I made tk put on her jacket! I might add my own pins into the mix but I want these to be the main stars of the show. I just drew the design, outlined and coloured it in with marker, and layered+cut it out onto multiple layers of paper and glued them together. I used hot glue and a safety pin to actually turn it into a pin.

And finally, her famous jacket! I saw this at an H&M and knew it was perfect. The sleeves are huge and almost cover my hands, and the pockets are massice as well (fit for a wild huntress). I adore this jacket and sometimes wear it to bed.

thats all so far! Soon I can make the horns and attach them to the hat, but thatll take a while to do. But overall, im so proud kf my first ever cosplay and hope it gets even one fellow Homestuck fan to chat me up. Ill even practice a good photo pose just in case~

So, Enderian didn't know that Rae was her kid but she did know Athena was Netherums and I feel like she knows Sherbert is Fables (not sure its explicitly stated but it feels implied at the very least, what with her not talking to them when they are corrupted and hating them.)

Obviously Athena is spot on for being Neths kid. They are very similar looking and Enderian was probably around for their creation(?) What word do you use for making a vessel.

Anyway I think theres a strong resemblance between shrb and fable too. Both ven and galahad expressed a recognizition of sherbert i think. Ven disliking their face and accidentally *calling* them fable. And galahad saying that they are glad they are wrong about who he thought he recognized sherbert as.

So enderian probably took one look and was like "Oh. You."

And visibly with cosplays and the skins we can tell rae and Enderian look similar. Even fable mocked her for jot figuring it out.

I think the reason for this is the same as that saying "if you met yourself/doppelganger you wouldn't recognize them." Which is kinda funny to me. She just saw this guy she had some sort of interest in and couldn't tell why or that he was her kid. Could recognize her siblings kids so well but mot her own.

Jag hoppas att detta meddelande når dig på Scholomance. För min del är jag väldigt bakfull. VI gick ut på flera nattklubbar i London och hamnade mitt i festligheterna på Kraigs pensionsfest. “Vem är Kraig?” kanske du undrar. Det är en väldigt bra fråga, Tiberius. Denna morgon har jag fortfarande ingen aning.

Du kommer bli lättad att höra att inget av detta är orsaken till att jag skriver till dig. Det är snarare om vad som hände efteråt. 

Som du vet bor Julian och Emma på Blackthorn Hall och försöker renovera det. Emma har rotat igenom högar av gamla papper och andra småtryck, och Julian har tagit hand förberedelserna av det som behöver lagas. Julian nämnde också att han har jobbat på en väggmålning men han har täckt den med en duk så jag vet inte vad den föreställer. Vad det än är, är jag glad att han finner tid att måla.

Detta är mitt första besök på Blackthorn Hall sedan jag var liten och jag måste säga att Julian och Emma har mycket jobb framför sig. Framför allt eftersom huset verkar vara hemsökt.

Ja, hemsökt. Jag vaknade tidigt denna morgon till ljudet av ett utrop. Jag hade somnat ovanför trapporna av någon orsak och var mittemot danssalongen, där jag hittade Julian i en förfärlig situation. Färg hade spillts över hela golvet i danssalongen. Julian har jobbat på väggmålningen där uppe och var ganska upprörd över röran. Jag undrade om vilda djur kan ha orsakat röran - stället ser definitivt ut som om det hyser flera grupper av sluga tvättbjörnar* - men sedan såg jag fotstegen i färgen. De såg ut att vara gammeldags skor med sulor som jag inte sett förut. Eftersom det finns massa kläder från föregående tidsperioder i huset letade vi efter matchande skor, men vi hittade inga.

Jag kände en sorts kyla i danssalongen som påminde mig om min tid med Jakten. En anspelning på kylan i graven. Jag antar att det är därför jag kan hålla med Emma och Julian att denna röra är orsakad av ett nyckfullt spöke och inte en konstigt klädd inbrottstjuv (Emma nämnde ordet “cosplay” men jag vet inte vad det betyder).

Julian, som är som han är, anklagar sig själv. Han fortsätter muttra om hur han inte borde ha gått ut, hur det är hans ansvar att ta hand om stället och så vidare. Du vet hur hård han kan vara mot sig själv. Jag hatar att höra det. Jag skulle vilja gå till botten med detta - för Julians skull, för husets renovering och för alla våras skull eftersom det inte var så kul att moppa upp så mycket färg, framför allt inte med en bultande huvudvärk - och det är därför jag ber dig, Ty, om hjälp. Du är på Scholomance och som student har du tillgång till en stor mängd böcker, familjeträd och historiska uppgifter. Kan du undersöka om det finns några referenser om att Blackthorn Hall är hemsökt? Om vi vet vem spöket är kommer det vara mycket enklare att avvisa det - lägga det till vila, borde jag säga. Jag kan inte tänka mig att det är roligt att vara ett spöke.

Vänligen svara till Julian med eventuell information, för tyvärr måste Kieran, Cristina och jag åka hem i övermorgon; Kieran kan inte vara borta från Landet för länge, och Cristina och jag har jobb att sköta i New York.

Jag måste gå - Kieran har kommit för att hämta mig. Cristina och Emma har förberett te för att försöka lätta upp stämningen. Kieran försäkrar mig om att mackorna är väldigt små och att han själv skar bort kanterna med stor precision.

Jag älskar dig, Tiberius. Jag önskar att du var här med oss, men jag vet att du gör ett fantastiskt jobb på Scholomance. Jag är stolt över att vara din bror.

Something I noticed when cutting up mock up one to make changes for mock up 2:

There’s a concerning amount of blood on this thing. Not a lot. But just. A concerning amount. I must have kept pricking my fingers with pins but just too flustered to notice.

Lining is still a bitch but I will make it my bitch.

Also outer fabric has been choosen and @heartofthemirror said it looks like “a gay French couch” so that seems right. I cannot wait to show y’all how the lining and the out fabric look together because it’s amazing.
