melancholy ≠ home / ALUMINIUM

and so we all sit

in the same boat

under a sky as silver as tinfoil

melancholy has always been

a restful home of mine.

i miss you when you're by my side;

and all the time, anyway.

i wish to not be perceived

but the waves will crash my tiny boat

and the ocean will consume me

as always, again.

and despite all the pain

of being misunderstood

we all sit

in the same boat

under a sky as silver as tinfoil

and melancholy will always be

a restful home of mine.

honestly, who do you think, knows?

i can't even recite my own lies.

i find comfort in a shared home

when all you see is my forgetfullness.

and yet again, you know the drill

the same boat, under the same sky,

and melancholy is a home

a home i stoicly call mine.

the melody of this resounds

in all my fellow mans voices

the sky is aluminium

and the tears i cry are the same as yours.

we might be many, but in this boat

we are one.

melancholy is a shared home

but there's no comfort

in a raging sea.
