Essokinesis

Essokinesis, also known as Ontokinesis and Realtiokinesis is the ability to manipulate reality. As simple as it sounds on the tin, it seems to work differently for each Esso?? Which is soo not a vibe ;-;

Makes it super hard to figure out what you're doing and all. For me, I have to close my eyes and think about what I want to happen, like I'm making a wish? I first discovered it when I was six or seven. I wanted it to snow so I wouldn't have to go to school.

My mum was soo mad at me, but I didn't have to go to school so- who really won? /j

As an Essokinetic, I always have to be super aware of my thoughts, which suuucks. Still it's pretty cool!

Technically, you could also say I have mentifery, but I prefer Essokinesis for myself personally!! Since it's a little more than I explained?

intro post!

Hey everyone! Long time mutantblr lurker, I guess, first time posting.

My name is Luka (he/him), you can call me Luke too. 

The technical term for my mutation is “anatomical liberation”, but I like to call it limberation lol. Basically I can detach my arms/legs at any point at will, and I’ll still be able to move them around like they’re still attached. It’s useful for reaching things on high shelves, but not too much else. I have pretty good control over it so I consider myself “sapienpassing” for all intents and purposes.

I’m not really... out? As a mutant? My family knows, it runs on my mom’s side so it wasn’t a major surprise, but I don’t really know how comfortable I am letting, like, friends and shit know.

I don’t know any mutants (that I know of lmao) irl so I guess I thought tumblr would be the next best thing. Idk we’ll see how this goes lol

One of the things genophobes don't seem to understand is that, especially in the mid to late 1900s, mutants aren't some secret separate part of society. They are part of society. Many think they're human until they're 12 or 13. This argument that mutants are just out there, waiting to destroy humans and the societies they've built, fails to realize that we live in society.

Yes there will be mutants who use their powers to commit crimes, to cause chaos, to start shit. But when you alienate the entire mutant community by targeting us as if we are all trying to destroy the world, there'll be no one to help you stop mutants who do want to cause harm 🤷‍♂️

Mutant Barbie fun fact: did you know that they originally classified Mutant Barbie (actually branded as part of the Superhero Barbie line bc what else do mutants do, right) as a "toy" instead of a "doll" because it saved them on taxes?

See, apparently because mutants aren't "human" they argued that it was more like a toy robot or zebra than a doll. But yay, look at how shiny and pretty the Barbie movie is!
